        PURPOSES: This study aimed to evaluate the appropriateness of safety with the standard for threshold zone luminance as specified in the Recommendation for Lighting of Traffic Tunnel, which has been widely adopted worldwide. METHODS: A driving test of the subject in a full-scale road tunnel was conducted. The adaptation luminance and threshold zone luminance, which should be known for the driver to perceive an object within stopping sight distance, were obtained. These values were compared with the adaptation luminance and threshold zone luminance obtained by the existing reduced model test and tunnel lighting standard that has served as a guideline for the current threshold zone luminance standard. RESULTS : According to this study, threshold zone luminance should be increased to at least 1.8 times the value proposed in the existing studies and to twice the domestic tunnel lighting standard (KS C 3703: 2014). CONCLUSIONS : The threshold zone luminance proposed in this study differs largely from that obtained from indoor tests and from the current tunnel lighting standard used worldwide; this difference may be attributed to the fact that the indoor tests did not incorporate driving workload, non-uniformity of luminance distribution in terms of sight, and factors that reduce the visibility of the driver, such as the light reflected into the driver’s eyes. Hence, it is necessary to further review the factors that reduce the visibility of drivers approaching tunnels in order to determine the rational tunnel threshold zone luminance.

        A full-scale process has been developed to immobilize fission products that accumulate within the Mark IV electrorefiner (ER) electrolyte at Idaho National Laboratory. ER salt was blended with treatment additives, followed by pressureless consolidation (PC) in a furnace to produce a durable ceramic waste form (CWF). The goal is the development of a process to consolidate actual radioactive ER salt into a form suitable for transportation and disposal.Four batches (300 to 400 kg per batch) of full-scale pre-qualification material preparation runs have been prepared. From these four batches of nonradioactive salt-loaded surrogate material, three full-scale PC trials have been conducted. The first PC test run, established equipment parameters with a basic CWF container design. The second trial included a modified CWF container design, real-time measurement of CWF consolidation, and an audio recording to identify cracking during the CWF cool-down. During the third trial, salt was doped (from the fourth material preparation batch) to create a nonradioactive salt material and to more closely represent actual ER salt. The second and third trials were also used to validate a model developed for the CWF. The CWF model is beneficial for understanding and predicting the physical processes that occur during the heat cycle. This would be particularly useful when the CWF is located in a hot cell, which makes accessing and examining a CWF difficult.

        The purpose of this study were to translate the Fullerton Advanced Balance (FAB) scale into Korean and to verify the content validity by utilizing a back-translation method with a view to assessing balance function and the risk of falling in a clinical research setting. This research was conducted in six steps. First, three Korean physical therapists translated the FAB scale into Korean. Second, two bilingual professors of physical therapy and a physical therapist evaluated translation conformity of Korean-translated FAB scale. In the third and fourth steps, twelve physical therapists evaluated the degree of translation comprehension, and a translator back-translated the Korean FAB scale into the original language. Fifth, a bilingual professor of physical therapy and two native speakers evaluated the technical and conceptual equivalence between the original and translation versions. In this process, inappropriate translated items were revised using recommended substitute words or sentences, and all items were evaluated on the basis of three points or more on a rating scale in terms of translation comprehension, and the technical and conceptual equivalence of the back-translation. In the sixth and last step, the translation verification committee completed the final Korean version. The above process indicated that the content validity of the Korean-translated FAB scale was established by means of systematic translation methods, and it can therefore be used to assess balance function and the risk of falls in a clinical research setting.

        The most effective way to control plant parasitic nematodes are immersed in hot water, but the larger-scale processing is difficult to adjust a target processing temperature. Thermal equilibrium formula used to fit the processing temperature was very accurate and effective. Use of the thermal equilibrium formula was determined to be well suited on commercial scale(1400L volume chamber) hot water immersion treatment that should be quickly processed. 1000L of water based on 10%(111kg), 12%(136kg), 15%(176kg) filling ratio was applied in 48oC for 30min treatment and only 10%, 12% filling ratio was applied in 49oC for 10min. In 10% filling ratio, thermal equilibrium has been proceeding rapidly in 1-2 min, and no juvenile hatched in all treatments(at 48oC for 30min, at 49oC for 10min). In 12% filling ratio, though thermal equilibrium has been proceeding in 2 min, few juveniles were hatched in boundary temperature at 49.0oC. In 15% filling ratio, it took 7-8 minutes to reach thermal equilibrium after dipping. The result of applying the two treatment conditions(at 48oC for 30min, at 49oC for 10min) to commercial scale field experiment showed nematodes were almost completely eliminated in hooker chive roots. However, some of living nematodes were observed in 15% filling ratio treatment.

        Methyl bromide (MB) fumigation is still allowed to use in quarantine treatment on imported timbers and logs, even though IPPC(International Plant Protection Convention) was strongly recommended to reduce their use in case of existing alternatives. A newly developing MB alternative fumigant, ethanedinitrile (EDN), showed the potential in terms of better efficacy to various timber pests and penetration into the timber than MB. Herein, for suggestion of quarantine guideline in Korea, we had verified the efficacies under different temperature conditions(5, 5-15, >15℃) and monitored TLV(Threshold limited value) of EDN post-fumigation for worker safety. The 6 scheduled doses of EDN depending on types of timber pest and temperature conditions had evaluated with PVC-Tarp tent(>100m3) with 40-50% loading factors of imported logs. To control normal wood related pests such as Japanese termite (Reticulitermes speratus) and bark beetle(Cryphalus fulvus), the scheduled doses 30, 40 and 40 g/m3 for 24hr fumigations showed >99% efficacy at 5, 5-15 and >15℃, respectively. The scheduled doses 100, 120 and 150 g/m3 for 24hr fumigations was also successful to gain the proved efficacies at 5, 5-15, >15℃, respectively, for the quarantine guideline to notorious wood related pests such as Japanese pine sawyer (Monochamus alternatus) and pine wilt nematode (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus). The recommended ventilation times with atmospheric conditions at ports was > 1 and > 2 hr under the fully uncovered and partially uncovered of fumigation tent conditions, respectively.

        A large-scale neutral hydrogen (H i) ring serendipitously found in the Leo I galaxy group is 200 kpc in diameter with MHi ~ 1:67 X 109M⊙, unique in size in the Local Universe. It is still under debate where this Hi ring originated - whether it has formed out of the gas remaining after the formation of a galaxy group (primordial origin) or been stripped during galaxy-galaxy interactions (tidal origin). We are investigating the optical and Hi gas properties of the dwarf galaxies located within the gas ring in order to probe its formation mechanism. In this work, we present the photometric properties of the dwarfs inside the ring using the CFHT MegaCam u*, g', r' and i'-band data. We discuss the origin of the gas ring based on the stellar age and metal abundance of dwarf galaxies contained within it.

        Starburst galaxies have strong star formation activity and generate large scale out ows which eject a huge amount of gas mass. This process affects galaxy activity, and therefore, the detailed study of nearby starburst galaxies could provide valuable information for the study of distant ones. So far there have been only a few studies of galactic-scale molecular out ows due to the sensitivity limitation of telescopes. Our study provides two nearby examples, NGC 2146 and NGC 3628. We used Nobeyama Millimeter Array (NMA) CO(1-0) data, Chandra soft X-ray data, and NMA 3 mm data to study the kinematics of molecular outflows, their interaction with ionized outflows, and the star forming activity in the starburst region. We found that the gas ejected through molecular outflows is much more significant than that used to form stars.

        We present a kinematic study of the parsec-scale radio jet in OJ 287, one of the most studied BL Lac objects, during γ-ray ares, to explore the relation between parsec-scale radio jet activity and γ-ray emission. The 22-GHz light curve of OJ 287 show three obvious are events around 2011 May, 2011 October, and 2012 March. The second radio are occurred during the γ-ray aring period, and the third radio are seemed to precede the γ-ray are by one month. One jet component moved outward with respect to the core component with an apparent superluminal speed (~ 11c) from 2010 November to 2011 November. Then it changed direction, moving apparently inward in 2011 November, when the γ-ray are occurred. The observed apparent inward motion of the jet at 22 GHz could be caused by a new jet component, unresolved at 22 GHz, in the innermost region.

        Classical Cepheids (hereafter Cepheids) belong to a class of important variable stars that can be used to determine distances to nearby galaxies via the famous period-luminosity (PL) relations, i.e. the Leavitt Law. In turn, these distances can then be used to calibrate a host of secondary distance indicators located well within the Hubble flow, and ultimately determine the Hubble constant in a manner independent of the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) measurements. Some recent progress in determining the Hubble constant to within ~ 3% level via the Cepheid-based distance scale ladder (the SH0ES and the Carnegie Hubble Program) were first summarized in this Proceeding, followed by a brief discussion on the prospect of using ultra-long period Cepheids (ULPC) in future distance scale work. ULPC are those Cepheids with periods longer than 80 days, which seem to follow a different PL relation than their shorter period Cepheids. It has been suggested that ULPC can be used to determine the Hubble constant in "one-step". However, based on the two ULPCs found in M31, it was found that the large dispersion in derived distance moduli leads to a less accurate distance modulus to M31 compared to the classical Cepheids. This finding might raise an alert regarding the use of ULPCs in future distance scale work.

        위생적인 수확후처리를 통하여 안전한 농산물 생산을 유도하기 위하여 영양부추를 대상으로 수확후 처리시설 모델을 개발하였으며 개발된 수확후 처리시설 설치와 위생교육이 미생물 안전에 미치는 효과를 검증하고자 본 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위하여 양주지역 영양부추 생산 농가의 수확 후 처리시설 환경과 영양부추에서 위생지표세균(일반세균수, 대장균군, E. coli)과 병원성미생물(Escherichia coli O157:H7, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes, Bacillus cereus)을 조사하였다. 그 결과, 빗, 칼, 도마 등 수확후 처리시설에서 사용하는 작업도구의 일반세균수 오염수준은 수확후 처리시설 설치농가(A, B)에서 수확후 처리시설 비설치농가(C) 보다 1.44~2.33 log CFU / 100cm² 정도 낮았다. 특히 도마의 경우 A농가에서 1.00 log CFU / 100cm²이하, B 농가에서 2.23 logCFU / 100cm²인데 반해 C 농가에서는 6.03 log CFU / 100cm²로 농가간의 위생 상태에 따라 B. cereus의 오염수준이 차이가 크게 나타났다. 또한 지하수에 침지 한 영양부추에서 침지 전 보다 대장균군이 0.57~1.89 log CFU/g이 증가하였다. E. coli는 영양부추, 침지한 후 지하수, 토양에서 검출되었으며, E. coli O157:H7, Salmonella spp., L. monocytogenes는 검출되지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과를 통하여 소규모 수확 후 처리시설 설치와 위생교육을 통하여 농가 내 수확후처리 환경의 위생을 개선하는데 효과적이라 판단된다. 이와 더불어 유해미생물에 의한 식중독사고를 사전에 예방하기 위해서는 수확 후에 오염된 유해미생물을 저감화 할 수 있는 세척, 소독 기술의 개발과 도입이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.

        The Horizon Run 4 is a cosmological N-body simulation designed for the study of coupled evolution between galaxies and large-scale structures of the Universe, and for the test of galaxy formation models. Using 63003 gravitating particles in a cubic box of Lbox = 3150 h−1Mpc, we build a dense forest of halo merger trees to trace the halo merger history with a halo mass resolution scale down to Ms = 2.7 × 1011h−1M⊙. We build a set of particle and halo data, which can serve as testbeds for comparison of cosmological models and gravitational theories with observations. We find that the FoF halo mass function shows a substantial deviation from the universal form with tangible redshift evolution of amplitude and shape. At higher redshifts, the amplitude of the mass function is lower, and the functional form is shifted toward larger values of ln(1/σ). We also find that the baryonic acoustic oscillation feature in the two-point correlation function of mock galaxies becomes broader with a peak position moving to smaller scales and the peak amplitude decreasing for increasing directional cosine μ compared to the linear predictions. From the halo merger trees built from halo data at 75 redshifts, we measure the half-mass epoch of halos and find that less massive halos tend to reach half of their current mass at higher redshifts.         최근 조직의 커뮤니케이션에서 공중들이 중요하게 인식 및 평가하고 있는 진정성은 다양한 분야에서 연구들이 급증하고 있으나 서로 다른 개념적 정의와 측정으로 인하여 진정성 개념의 타당성과 다차원성에서 이론적 한계를 지니고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 보편적으로 사용가능한 커뮤니케이션 진정성의 측정을 위한 다차원적 개념의 표준 척도를 개발하고 대표적인 PR 활동인 CSR과 위기관리 분야에서의 차이를 살펴보고자 하였다. 기존 연구들을 바탕으로 도출한 21개의 측정항목들을 가지고 탐색적 요인분석을 한 결과에서 진정성은 이성적(진실성), 감성적(진심성), 그리고 행동적(실천성) 3가지 차원으로 구성됨을 확인하였다. 그리고 사전적 성향의 PR 활동인 CSR의 경우는 행동적 진정성이, 사후적 PR 활동인 위기관리 커뮤니케이션에서는 감성적 진정성이 다른 차원들보다 더욱 크게 공중의 커뮤니케이션 진정성 인식에 영향을 주는 것임을 알 수 있었다. 결국 커뮤니케이션 진정성은 진심, 진실, 실천의 의미를 포함하는 이성적, 감성적, 행동적 차원으로 구성된 다차원적 구성개념이라는 것이 확인되었다.

        The masses of supermassive black holes in active galactic nuclei (AGN) can be derived spec- troscopically via virial mass estimators based on selected broad optical/ultraviolet emission lines. These estimates commonly use the line width as a proxy for the gas speed and the monochromatic continuum luminosity, λLλ, as a proxy for the radius of the broad line region. However, if the size of the broad line region scales with the bolometric AGN luminosity rather than λLλ, mass estimates based on different emission lines will show a systematic discrepancy which is a function of the color of the AGN continuum. This has actually been observed in mass estimates based on Hα/Hβ and Civ lines, indicating that AGN broad line regions indeed scale with bolometric luminosity. Given that this effect seems to have been overlooked as yet, currently used single-epoch mass estimates are likely to be biased.

        Theoretically, the meanings attached to luxury brands have been thought to be integrated in consumers’ identities, yet this possibility has not yet been explicitly investigated. This paper describes the development of a 23-item instrument for assessing the enrichment of an individual's personal identity through their identity as a luxury consumer. An exploratory factor analysis on data from a survey using this instrument indicates the existence of five factors (unburdening, pleasure, impressiveness, sensation and connectedness). The scale has a variety of potential applications and can serve as a framework for further empirical research.

        This study examines how native English speaking (NES) and Korean non-native English speaking (KNES) teachers assess L2 writing performance. More specifically, this study aims to investigate whether these two groups of raters evaluate writing samples differently when using different rating scales (holistic vs. analytic) and different task types (narrative vs. argumentative). Four NES and four KNES raters evaluated 78 narrative and 78 argumentative essays written by Korean EFL university students using both holistic and analytic rating rubrics. The comparison between the two rater groups indicated that the scores given by the two groups were statistically significantly different for both holistic and analytic ratings regardless of the two task types investigated. Overall, KNES teachers rated the essays more harshly than their NES counterparts, irrespective of task type and rating scale. Multiple regression analysis of five analytic sub-criteria revealed that the two rater groups demonstrated similar patterns in assessing argumentative essays, while for narrative essays, the relative influence of each analytic sub-criterion on overall writing quality differed for the two rater groups. Implications for L2 writing assessment are included.

        지형적인 형태와 지표면의 물리적인 특성은 기상장 뿐 만 아니라 대기질 수치 모델링에서도 가장 중요한 입력 변수가 된다. 대부분 복잡지형에서 일어나는 국지적인 기상의 일변동들이 지형적인 불균일성에 의해 지배되기도 한다. 이러한 지형적인 특징들은 열적으로 유도된 대기흐름에 영향을 일으키며 직접적으로는 풍계의 변화를 가져오거나 지표면 가열 온도 자체에서의 중요한 변화를 가져와 간접적으로 영향을 주기도 한다. 복잡지형에서 이러한 변화양상들은 지형적인 특징 즉, 지형적 경사와 성질에 의한 태양복사 에너지의 불균등한 분배에 기인한다. 그러므로 기상장 묘사가 어려운 복잡지형에서는 관측값에 더 가까운 정확한 바람장을 예측하기 위해 상세한 지형 정보와 지표면 자료가 중요하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 상세한 지표면과 지형자료를 지표 경계자료로 활용한 MM5-A2C 모델을 이용하여 복잡한 지형적 조건을 가진 산지지역에서의 바람장 수치모의를 하고자 한다. MM5-A2C에 의해 유도된 기상장은 국지규모의 산지주변에서의 지형강제력에 의한 기상장 해석을 정밀하게 예측하여 모델 내의 지형적 조건이 미치는 영향에 대해 직접적인 영향을 주고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

        목적 : 행동적 편측무시를 평가하는 Catherine Bergego Scale (CBS)을 한국어로 번안하여 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하기 위함에 있다. 연구방법 : 한국형 캐서린 버지고 척도(Korean Catherine Bergego Scale; K-CBS)의 개발을 위해 원 도구 개발자에게 한국에서의 번안과 사용을 허락 받았다. CBS 원문을 한글로 번안하여 번역-역번역 기 법에 따라 번역타당도를 구하고, 9명의 전문가에게 내용타당도를 확인하였다. 선 나누기 검사와 알버트 검사와의 상관계수를 이용하여 수렴타당도를 구하고, 요인분석을 통하여 구성타당도를 구하였다. 신뢰도 검증을 위해 내적일관성(Cronbach’s α와 항목이 삭제된 경우 Cronbach’s α)을 구하였다. 자료수집은 서울시에 소재한 병원에 입원, 외래로 재활치료를 받는 뇌졸중으로 인한 왼쪽 편마비 환자 127명을 대 상으로 2013년 10월부터 2014년 04월까지 진행되었다. 결과 : 번역-역번역 기법에 따라 번역타당도가 수립되었고, 전문가에 의한 내용타당도지수는 .98로 매우 높게 나타났다. 수렴타당도는 Pearson 상관계수가 선 나누기 검사(r=.719), 알버트 검사(r=.671)로 K-CBS와의 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 구성타당도를 위한 요인분석 결과 10개의 항목이 모두 하나의 요인으로 묶였다. 내적일관성은 .956으로 항목간 관련성이 높은 것으로 나타났고, 해당 문항이 제거 되었을 때의 Cronbach’s α값보다 높아지는 항목은 없었다. 결론 : K-CBS는 한국에 거주하는 뇌졸중 환자들에게 적용하였을 때 행동적 편측무시를 평가하는 도구로 써 높은 수준의 신뢰도와 타당도가 검증되어 국내에서의 적용가능성을 보여주었다. 추후에는 K-CBS의 임상에서의 활용도를 높이기 위해 검사자간, 검사자내 신뢰도 검증 등 다양한 후속 연구들이 진행되어야 할 것이다. 주제어 : 뇌졸중, 신뢰도, 타당도, 편측무시, 한국형 캐서린 버지고 척도

        The purpose of this study is to identify the flow resistance of the bottom pair trawl nets. The bottom pair trawl nets being used in fishing vessel (100G/T, 550ps) was selected as a full-scale net, and 1/10, 1/25 and 1/50 of the model nets were made. Converted into the full-scale net by Tauti’s modeling rule and Kim’s modeling rule, when resistance coefficient k of each net was calculated by substituting into above equation for flow resistance R and wall area of nets S values of each net v. Because resistant coefficient k decreases exponentially according as flow velocity v increases to make k cv-m, c and m values of each net were compared. As a result, as the model was smaller, c and m values was smaller in the two rule into standard of 1/10 model value, decrease degree of 1/25 model was almost same in the two rule, decrease degree of 1/50 model was very big in Tauti’s modeling rule. Therefore, in the result of experiment, because average of c and m values for similarly 1/10 and 1/25 model were given c=4.9 (kgf․s2/m4) and m=0.45, R (kgf) of bottom pair trawl net could show R =4.9Sv1.55 using these values. As in the order of cod-end, wing and bag part for 1/25 and 1/50 model net were removed in turn, measured flow resistance of each, converted into the full-scale, total resistance of the net and the resistance of each part net were calculated. The resistance ratio of each part for total net was not same in 1/25 and 1/50 model each other, but average of two nets was perfectly same area ratio of each part as the wing, bag and cod-end part was 43%, 45% and 12%. However, the resistance of each part divided area of the part, calculated the resistance of per unit area, wing and bag part were not big difference each other, while the resistance of cod-end part was very large.
