        In this study, the method of measuring cable tension using the vision-based system was proposed, and a portable digital camcorder was used as a sensor for the measurement of the cable tension positioned at remote distances, considering the user convenience and the cost-efficiency. The vibration method (accelerometer, vision-based system) was used to measure the cable tensions, and the result was compared and analyzed.

        In case of cable supported bridges, the cable system is a very important element that transfers the load of the girder to the pylon or substructure is the most important feature. The safety management of these cable systems is very important because they are directly linked to the safety of the entire bridge. This paper presents the applicability of the acoustic emission (AE) method is one of the non-destructive evaluation methods, is evaluated for the detection and monitoring of bridge cable damage. In order to verify the performance of the cable inspection method using the AE sensor, experiments were conducted. As a result, it is considered that the acoustic emission technique will be able to detect corrosion breakage and signs of rupture of cables if sufficient database of AE signal with various environmental conditions is secured.

        본 연구에서는 음향 방출 기법을 사용하여 강연선(7-wire strand)의 손상을 감지하기 위한 기초 실험을 수행하였다. 강연선은 주로 교량에 추가적인 인장력을 제공하기 위해 널리 사용되는 건설 자재이다. 프리스트레스 교량 또는 사장교가 대표적인 경우이다. 그러나 교량 노화가 급격히 진행되면서 강연선 부식 문제가 대두되고 있다. 이러한 이유로 케이블 점검을 위한 다양한 비파괴 방법이 연구되고 있고 현장 적용 이 시도되고 있다. 비파괴 방법 ??중 하나인 음향 방출 기법은 케이블 손상 및 파단을 감지하는 효과적인 기술로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 음향 방출 기법의 교량에 대한 적용 가능성을 평가하기 위해 강연선의 손상에 따른 음향 방출 신호 특성을 인장 실험을 분석 하고, 현장 적용을 위한 최적 센서 주파수 타입을 선정하였다. 결과적으로, 음향 방출 기법을 활용하여 향후 교량 케이블의 부식 파단 및 파단 징후를 감지 할 수 있다 고 여겨진다.

        This paper presents the seismic assessment of the effect of vertical ground motion on the three-story RC building with different geometric configurations considering the vertical-to-horizontal peak ground acceleration (V/H) ratio increases. The effects of a suite of earthquake ground motion records on three-story RC buildings are presented and the results are compared with the case of horizontal only excitation. Interstory drift was considered as a global failure criterion, while the curvature ductility and shear capacity of structural members were monitored to assess failure on a local level. The effect of vertical ground motion on axial force and shear capacity is also investigated.

        The Bridge Safety Department of Seoul Metropolitan Government has regularly conducted precise inspection and precision safety inspection to maintain the bridge's function and safety. During a precise safety inspection in 2015, oil leakage progression was found on the cable anchorage system within the stiffened girder of Nilsen Arch bridge and as a follow-up measure, the cable replacement for the cable ACD11 was carried out in order to identify the relevant cause of the oil leakage and evaluate the integrity of the existing cable. The mechanical properties and fatigue performance tests of the cable strands of bridge inservice for about 20 years and comprehensive analysis of oil leakage were carried out. They were described hereby.

        현수교 주 케이블은 케이블 밴드의 볼트 축력에 대한 정기적인 유지 관리가 매우 중요하다. 현수교 케이블 밴드의 볼트 축력은 시간이 경과함에 따라 케이블 소선의 크리프 현상, 볼트의 릴렉세이션, 하중 변동, 케이블 소선의 재배열 등으로 인해 축력 감소 현상이 발생하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 국내 현수 교량(SR대교)의 케이블 밴드가 시간이 경과하면서 발생하는 축력 감소 현상에 대해 그 원인 및 감소량 등에 대한 현장 측정 및 이론적 검토, 안전율 검토, 장기적인 이력 관리 등을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 케이블 밴드 볼트 축력 감소는 주 케이블 소선에 사용된 아연 도금층의 소성 변형에 크게 영향받는 것을 확인하였으며, 이에 대한 이론적 체계 및 장기 이력 관리에 대한 적용성을 확립하였다.

        For suspension bridges, the super-structure is supported by main cables and hangers which carry the dead and live loads to the pylons and anchorages. Due to the fact that the difficultly of repair and strengthening for damaged cables, it is very important to find an efficient way of maintenance methods for cables. The corrosion is one of main causes for cable damages. The use of dehumidification system can be an alternative for this issue. Therefore, the authors have been evaluated for efficiency of the cable dehumidification system for main cables of suspension bridge. This study was initiated to develop an efficient and economical management strategy to operate the cable dehumidification system for suspension bridges built in South Korea.

Therefore, evaluating and constantly maintaining the fatigue life of cables in cable-supported bridges is an important item in ensuring the safety of bridges over their lifetime.

        To monitor static and dynamic responses of bridges, an image-based monitoring system using networking Pan-Tilt-Zoom IP (Internet Protocol) cameras has been developed. Verification testing is carried out during the human-excited vibration test of the stay cables in a cable-stayed bridge. As well as identifying the natural frequencies of the stay cable, the reasonable damping ratios are successfully extracted from the acquired images.

        최근 건설되는 특수교량에는 상시적인 유지관리 체계로서 계측시스템이 활발히 도입되고 있는 상황이다. 일반적으로 계측시스템 을 이용한 교량 유지관리 시에는 관리기준치를 설정하여 교량의 상태를 평가하게 되지만, 관리기준치 설정 기준과 방법이 없어 설계허용값에 근거하여 단순하게 설정되고 있는 실정이다. 기존의 방법으로 설정된 관리기준치를 적용할 경우 관리기준치 범위 내에서 발생된 이벤트, 이상 거동 및 점진적으로 발생하는 손상 등과 같은 교량의 상태변화를 파악하기에는 한계가 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 기존의 절대치 관리에 있 어 관리기준치 설정의 문제점을 고찰하여 실무에 효과적으로 적용가능한 개선된 관리기준치 설정 및 운영방법을 도출하였다. 개선된 관리기 준치 설정을 위해 검벨분포를 사용한 확률론적 접근방법을 도입하여 재현빈도 50년, 100년의 기댓값에 대한 교량의 주의, 경고치를 산정하였 다. 본 연구에서의 관리기준치는 설계허용치 범위 내에서 발생하는 이상거동을 감지할 수 있도록 계측데이터와 계측데이터의 구간변화량에 대한 관리기준치를 각각 설정되었으며, 제안된 방법으로 산정된 관리기준치는 실측 데이터에 대입하여 비정상적인 데이터의 발생여부를 적절 하게 파악할 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다.

        Because stage cable-bridge have long spans and large members, their movements and geometrical changes by temperatures tend to be bigger than those of small or medium-size bridge. Therefore, it is important for maintenance engineers to monitor and assess the effect to temperature on the cable-supported bridges. To evaluate how much the superstructure expands or contracts when subjected to changes in temperature is the first step for the maintenance. Thermal movements of a cable-stayed bridge in service are evaluated by using long-term temperatures and displacements data.
