        In this study, the soil-structure interaction impact of a 3-hinge Concrete Modular Underground Arch (CMUA) is simulated using Abaqus/CAE. The results indicate that Abaqus/CAE is an effective tool for seismic simulation of the CMUA. Besides, the structural damage under the earthquake impact can occur locally on lining structure or its surrounding at the soils that is influenced significantly by the interaction and contact between structural parts as well as linkages of segments.

        The precast modular bridge that combines pre-designed standard modules was constructed by KICT. A field test was performed to estimate the structural performance of this bridge. As a result, this bridge has sufficient safety and serviceability as a highway bridge.

        Precast modular bridge was designed by ultimate strength design method(USD), though it is aimed at development of the world's first permanent bridge applying modular technology. Therefore, it is necessary to review the LSD in order to achieve the goal. In this study, the slab-type precast modular bridge(span 8m) was examined on the stability of bending moment in the longitudinal direction by the LSD.

        Many industries put emphasis on Environment-Friendliness as environmental problems are on the rise all over the world. Among themselves the Modular Bridge research is going on. Also performing cross-section optimization and duration reducing, this research aims at developing the modular bridge with Environment-Friendliness and economic feasibility. However, The difficulty lies in verifying environmental effectiveness because there is no field applications of the modular bridge until now. Therefore, this thesis is 40m bending steel girder modular bridge CO2 emission quantification per work type and materials according to each form to verify environmental effectiveness of the modular bridge.

        최근 구조물의 노후화에 따른 급속 교체, 교통 영향 및 환경 영향 최소화의 요구에 따라 프리캐스트 기술을 활용한 모듈러 교량 연구가활발하게 진행중에 있다. 본 연구는 모듈러 교량과 관련된 연구의 일환으로 모듈러 슬래브 교량의 횡방향 연결부를 대상으로 반복하중 재하 실험을 통하여 횡방향 연결부의 반복 하중에 따른 구조적 거동 특성을 파악하고 사용성 평가하였다. 반복하중의 크기를 결정하기 위하여 RC 보를 1개 제작하였으며 반복하중 재하 실험을 위하여 일체형 RC 보 1개와 분절형 실험체 3개를 제작하였다. 실험결과, 분절형 실험체는 하중 반복 횟수가 증가함에 따라 처짐 및 균열폭이 거의 일정하거나 수렴하는 경향을 나타냈으며, 일체형 RC 보와 비교하여 최대처짐, 잔류처짐, 균열폭 모두 작게 나타났다. 또한 사용하중을 반복 재하한 실험체의 경우, 처짐 및 균열에 대한 사용성 기준을 모두 만족하였다.

        The performance of the connection in precast members that were made by accelerated construction was performed. In result, behavior of INT-1 and SEG-1 specimens was different. Therefore, in thin study, design of concrete in Korea and experiment result were compared to verify behavior of SEG-1.

        Currently, global warming problem is serious. One of reasons of global warming is CO2 emissions. As an alternative means to prevent this, there is an environment-friendly effect of modular bridge method. After analyzing the CO2 emissions of the steel modular bridge which is used in a modular bridge based on D/B W.B.S analysis program and by comparing the CO2 emissions with that of the similar type of bridge, it is intended to analyze the environmental-friendly of modular bridge through the evaluation of the CO2 emissions of modular steel girder bridge of 21m.

        This reasearch was performed to evaluate CO2 emission of Modular bridge quantitatively. Preferentially, Modular bridge was separated steel girder bridges, concrete girder, concrete slab bridge and analyzed process in doing configuration W.B.S system. According to the Ministry of land guidelines, each process was divided into material, transportation, construction and calculated by division in detail the materials and fuel so it planned that quantitative assessment can be achieved.

        The object of this study is to evaluate static behavior of transverse connection of slab-type modular bridge. Especially, this paper focus on evaluation that shear key and tendon force affect bending strength of transverse connection of slab-type modules. We compared and examined the bending performance of connection through a structural test (4-point bending test). This experimental results show that bending strength of transverse connection of slab-type modules are influenced a number of shear key and amounts of tendon force. So in order to apply to modular construction, it is necessary to research in connection of slab-type modules.

        The objective of this study is to evaluate fatigue behavior of transverse connection of girder-type modular bridge. In order to evaluate fatigue behavior, a integral specimens and one segmental specimens were applied fatigue load ranging between 10% and 60% maximum static load with 200000 cycles. In order to test the serviceability, another segmental specimens was applied a fatigue load ranging between 10% and 100% service load with 2 million cycles. The results showed that the segmental specimens had enough safety and serviceability under fatigue load.

        This paper presents the results of researches to developing the precast modular bridges. Procedures to decide types of bridges, results of the optimizations to minimize the cross sectional areas, concepts of joints between modules, and the results of the experimental tests to evaluate the performance of joints are presented in this paper. It is expected that the precast modular bridges may be the effective alternatives to rapidly replace deteriorated bridges and damaged bridges by disasters.

        In this paper, the methodology to develop web-based assembly system with BIM(Building Information Modeling) technology for modular bridge is proposed. The system has three main parts that are composed of standardized part library, assemble module, and virtual construction. The web-based assembly design program for modular bridge could be widely used for rapid construction of bridges with module library information.

        In this study, the strut-tie model used for the analysis and design of the anchorage zone of the PSC modular bridge by comparing with the result of the approximate analytical method. The result shows that the bursting force obtained by approximate analytical method were increased about 2 times in comparison with the result of strut-tie model.

        본 연구에서는 급속시공을 위한 단지간의 슬래브 형식의 프리캐스트 모듈러교량의 종방향 연결부 상세를 제안하고자 한다. 슬래브 형식의 프리캐스트 모듈러교량은 횡방향으로 분절되어 제작되므로, 분절된 프리캐스트 모듈 사이에는 종방향의 연결부가 형성된다. 이에, 종방향 연결부의 형상과 제원을 결정하기 위해 전단키 개수, 폭, 높이, 경사각, 연결부 폭을 변수로 선정하여 해석적 연구와 실험적 연구를 함께 수행하였다. 결과 분석을 위해서 연결부에 초기 균열이 발생하는 균열하중에 대한 경향을 검토하였으며, 종방향 연결부의 효율성을 평가하기 위해 효율계수(efficiency factor)를 제안하였다. 해석 및 실험에서 얻어진 균열하중과 본 연구에서 제안된 효율계수를 이용하여 연결부의 형상 및 제원을 결정하였다.

        An optimum cross section of a precast modular bridge was drew by using the combinational optimization method. The constraints for the optimization procedure including the width and the thickness of the bottom flange, and the maximum area of the cross section, etc. were considered, and weight of the girder was minimized to draw an optimum cross section. Furthermore, the segmentation of the girder in its longitudinal direction was studied for satisfying the requirement of traffic law about overloading.
