This study aims to measure the current control waveform of an injector in real time using the developed monitoring system and verify its compliance with the manufacturer’s control waveform requirements. The measured operating waveforms include a peak current phase of 20A and a hold current phase of 10A. The injector of the engine was tested at 1500 RPM and 2000 RPM under conditions of normal fuel injection, small fuel injection, and large fuel injection. In this research, a real-time monitoring system was designed, incorporating an FPGA board and RS232 communication for PC interaction. This system is capable of measuring four channels simultaneously. Furthermore, it is expected that the system could measure up to 12 cylinders concurrently with the addition of more current probes while maintaining the same system configuration. The real-time collection of output waveforms using the developed monitoring system confirmed that the injector operates correctly and meets the manufacturer’s requirements.
This study is about the evaluation for shock-proof performance of the system, elastically support the low accumulator of the naval artillery against underwater explosion, using DDAM. For the evaluation, the shock analysis procedure using DDAM, supported by MSC/NASTRAN, was briefly described. In addition, in order to perform the shock analysis, the elastic support system was modeled as a finite element. The shock analysis of the elastic support system was performed by selecting the analysis frequency range so that reliable results can be obtained. Finally, the shock-proof performance of the system was evaluated by comparing the shock analysis results with the properties of the elastic support system.
Recently, SDAS(Advanced driver-assistance system) are being installed to assist driving of vehicles and improve driver convenience. LDWS(Lane departure warning system) and FCWS(Forward collision warning system) are the core of the technology. Among these, FCWS is evaluated as a key assistive technology to prevent vehicle crashes. Accordingly, many algorithms are being developed and tested to improve detection speed and actual detection algorithms are being commercialized. In this paper, We propose the design of a system that optimizes FCWS speed by considering the AI performance of the terminal device when implemented as an embedded system.
Code-compliant seismic design should be essentially applied to realize the so-called emulative performance of precast concrete (PC) lateral force-resisting systems, and this study developed simple procedures to design precast industrial buildings with intermediate precast bearing wall systems considering both the effect of seismic and blast loads. Seismic design provisions specified in ACI 318 and ASCE 7 can be directly adopted, for which the so-called 1.5S y condition is addressed in PC wall-to-wall and wall-to-base connections. Various coupling options were considered and addressed in the seismic design of wall-to-wall connections for the longitudinal and transverse design directions to secure optimized performance and better economic feasibility. On the other hand, two possible methods were adopted in blast analysis: 1) Equivalent static analysis (ESA) based on the simplified graphic method and 2) Incremental dynamic time-history analysis (IDTHA). The ESA is physically austere to use in practice for a typical industrial PC-bearing wall system. Still, it showed an overestimating trend in terms of the lateral deformation. The coupling action between precast wall segments appears to be inevitably required due to substantially large blast loads compared to seismic loads with increasing blast risk levels. Even with the coupled-precast shear walls, the design outcome obtained from the ESA method might not be entirely satisfactory to the drift criteria presented by the ASCE Blast Design Manual. This drawback can be overcome by addressing the IDTHA method, where all the design criteria were fully satisfied with precast shear walls’ non-coupling and group-coupling strength, where each individual or grouped shear fence was designed to possess 1.5S y for the seismic design.

This study analyzes the body shapes of lower-body obese female adolescents and proposes a slacks pattern suitable for their body type. Lower-body obesity is a prevalent type of teenage obesity, and our proposals aim to improve consumer satisfaction in ready-to-wear clothes across this demographic. We first observe characteristics of obese lower bodies, noting significantly above-average thigh and hip circumference. These figures indicate a high degree of curvature in obese lower bodies, along with a large drop value. Leveraging this data, we develop a novel slacks pattern using 3D avatars in a virtual simulation system. The formulas for the main areas of the pattern are as follows: front waist girth W/4+0.75cm+0.5cm, back waist girth W/4+0.5cm– 0.5cm, front hip girth H/4+1.25cm–0.5cm, back hip girth H/4+2cm+0.5cm, front crotch extension H/16+0.5cm, back crotch extension H/8+1cm. Results from appearance evaluations show that this pattern minimizes strain rate on the waist and hips, and its average score is significantly higher than that of an alternative pattern that was also evaluated. The minimized strain rate and high average score indicate that our pattern assigns a sufficient amount of space to the appropriate areas. Based on these results, we expect our research to inform slacks pattern development and production for obese consumers of all types.
