        In order to use coal tar pitch (CTP) as a raw material for carbon fibers, it should have suitable properties such as a narrow range of softening point, suitable viscosity and uniform optical properties. In this study, raw CTP was modified by heat treatment with three types of polymer additives (PS, PET, and PVC) to make a spinnable pitch for carbon fibers. The yield, softening point, C/H ratio, insoluble yield, and meso-phase content of various modified CTPs with polymer additives were analyzed by changing the type of polymer additive and the heat treatment temperature. The purpose of this study was to compare the properties of CTPs modified by polymer addition with those of a commercial CTP. After the pitch spinning, the obtained green fibers were stabilized and carbonized. The properties of the respective fibers were analyzed to compare their uniformity, diameter change, and mechanical properties. Among three polymer additives, PS220 and PET261 pitches were found to be spinnable, but the carbon fibers from PET261 showed mechanical properties comparable with those of a commercial CTP produced by an air-blowing method (OCI284). The CTPs modified with polymer additive had higher β-resin fractions than the CTP with only thermal treatment indicating a beneficial effect of carbon fiber application.

        This study reports on the influenceof N-butyl-N-methylpyrrolidinium tetrafluoroborat (PYR14BF4) ionic liquid additive on the conducting and interfacial properties of organic solvent based electrolytes against a carbon electrode. We used the mixture of ethylene carbonate/dimethoxyethane (1:1) as an organic solvent electrolyte and tetraethylammo-nium tetrafluoroborate(TEABF4) as a common salt. Using the PYR14BF ionic liquid as additive produced higher ionic conductivity in the electrolyte and lower interface resis-tance between carbon and electrolyte, resulting in improved capacitance. The chemical and electrochemical stability of the electrolyte was measured by ionic conductivity me-ter and linear sweep voltammetry. The electrochemical analysis between electrolyte and carbon electrode was examined by cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.

        In order to increase the magnetic loss for electromagnetic(EM) wave absorption, the soft magnetic (at%) alloy strip was used as the basic material in this study. The melt-spun strip was pulverized using an attrition mill, and the pulverized flake-shaped powder was crystallized at for 1h to obtain the optimum grain size. The Fe-based powder was mixed with 2 wt% , wt% carbon black, and polymer-based binders for the improvement of electromagnetic wave absorption properties. The mixture powders were tape-cast and dried to form the absorption sheets. After drying at for 1h, the sheets of 0.5 mm in thickness were made by rolling at , and cut into toroidal shape to measure the absorption properties of samples. The characteristics including permittivity, permeability and power loss were measured using a Network Analyzer(N5230A). Consequently, the properties of electromagnetic wave absorber were improved with the addition of both and carbon black powder, which was caused by the increased dielectric loss of the additive powders.

        이온 주입에 의하여 경화된 탄화층을 가지는 포토레지스트는 통상적인 습식 또는 건식 처리로는 제거하기가 매우 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 확산성과 물질전달특성이 우수한 초임계 이산화탄소와 공용매 및 첨가제를 사용하여 고이온 주입된 포토레지스트를 제거하는 방법을 연구하였다. 공용매의 종류 및 농도, 압력, 온도, 첨가제의 종류에 따른 제거특성을 연구하였으며, 제거 전 후의 웨이퍼 표면 상태 및 성분을 SEM, EDS를 사용하여 분석하였다. 산 혼합 공용매를 사용하여 4000psi, 70℃에서 2분간 처리 하였을 때, 포토레지스트는 100% 제거됨을 알 수 있었다.
