This study was conducted to simulate the lifetime of the membrane by analyzing the performance of the membrane degraded by chlorine. Chlorine exposure under several conditions caused the degradation of the membrane, resulting in the absence of any salts and an extreme increase in permeability. When the n value was calculated and compared through CnT analysis and CTn analysis, the p values were all less than 0.005, but CTn analysis, which had a higher R2 value, was adopted to simulate the membrane lifetime. Power coefficients take on values higher than 1, indicating that the exposure time to chlorine has a greater influence on membrane deterioration than the chlorine exposure concentration at 20℃ and 30℃. In particular, the process should be operated at less than 0.5 ppm at 30°C, and the chlorine exposure time of 1 cycle should be set to within 15 hours. In addition, the sensitivity to chlorine increased by 10.5 to 12.2 times when the chlorine exposure temperature increased by 10°C through the correlation between the chlorine exposure cycle and membrane lifetime. The membrane lifetime investigated in this study is only an estimated value, entirely because of chlorine membrane deterioration, excluding raw water characteristics and the type of detergent. Accordingly, it is considered that the membrane lifetime simulation can be applied by comparing the membrane performance with the actual process based on the filtration performance of membrane deterioration by chlorine.
본 연구는 폴리케톤(PK) 지지체를 이용한 유기용매 역삼투(OSRO) 분리막 제조를 목적으로 하였다. 비용매 유도 상분리 방법(NIPS)을 통해 PK 지지체를 제작하였고, PK 지지체 위에 polyamide layer를 계면 중합하여 thin-film composite (TFC) 형태로 OSRO 분리막을 완성하였다. 이후 OSRO 분리막의 표면과 단면 구조 및 표면의 화학적 구조를 분석하였고 수 투과도와 염 제거율은 각각 약 1.28 LMH/bar와 99.0%의 결과를 얻었다. 또한 OSRO 분리막의 polyamide layer는 유기용매 침지 1일 동안 매우 안정적이었고, 단일 유기용매 투과도 경향성은 유기용매 나노여과(OSN) 분리막의 투과도 모델과 일치하 였다. OSRO 분리막의 MWCO는 MeOH 상에서 240 g/mol이었다. OSRO 분리막의 MeOH-toluene 혼합용액에 대한 투과도 와 separation factor는 상용 OSN 분리막보다 각각 200%와 60%의 높은 결과를 얻었다.
Scanning probe microscopy (SPM) has become an indispensable tool in efforts to develop the next generation of nanoelectronic devices, given its achievable nanometer spatial resolution and highly versatile ability to measure a variety of properties. Recently a new scanning probe microscope was developed to overcome the tip degradation problem of the classic SPM. The main advantage of this new method, called Reverse tip sample (RTS) SPM, is that a single tip can be replaced by a chip containing hundreds to thousands of tips. Generally for use in RTS SPM, pyramid-shaped diamond tips are made by molding on a silicon substrate. Combining RTS SPM with Scanning spreading resistance microscopy (SSRM) using the diamond tip offers the potential to perform 3D profiling of semiconductor materials. However, damage frequently occurs to the completed tips because of the complex manufacturing process. In this work, we design, fabricate, and evaluate an RTS tip chip prototype to simplify the complex manufacturing process, prevent tip damage, and shorten manufacturing time.
본 연구에서는 역전기투석용 4차 암모늄이온을 음이온교환기로 갖는 폴리아크릴레이트계 광가교형 음이온교환막 을 개발하였다. 역전기투석은 청정 재생에너지 생산 시스템이지만 출력이 낮고 핵심 소재인 분리막의 가격이 비싸다는 단점 으로 인해 상용화에 제한이 있다. 이에, 지지체가 없는 광가교형 음이온교환소재를 제조하였으며 개발한 고분자의 주쇄는 우 수한 물성의 엔지니어링 플라스틱을 기반으로 제조하였다. 제조된 분리막은 우수한 물리적, 화학적, 전기화학적 특성을 보였 으며 상용 음이온교환막인 AMV와 비교하여 약 50% 낮은 분리막 저항을 보였다. 더욱이 CQAPPOA-35는 40 μm의 얇은 분 리막 두께에도 불구하고 상용막과 동등 수준의 선택도를 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. CQAPPOA-35을 적용한 RED 스택 은 최대 2.327 W m-2 (flow rate : 100 mL min-1)의 출력 밀도를 보여 AMV가 도입된 것보다 15% 향상된 성능 특성을 보였 다. 개발된 CQAPPOA-35이 광경화를 통해 쉽고 저렴하게 제조할 수 있으며 RED 스택 특성도 매우 우수하다는 점을 고려할 때, 개발된 CQAPPOA-35은 RED용 음이온교환막으로 상용 활용을 위한 대안이 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
역전기투석(reverse electrodialysis, RED)은 해수와 담수의 농도 차로부터 에너지를 얻는 이온교환막을 이용한 전 기막 공정이다. 해수와 담수에 포함된 다가 이온은 이온교환막의 고정 전하 그룹에 강하게 결합하여 높은 저항을 유발하며 uphill transport를 통해 개방회로 전압과 전력 밀도를 저하시킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 RED 응용을 위해 1가 이온 선택성 및 전기화학적 특성이 우수한 세공충진 음이온교환막(pore-filled anion-exchange membrane, PFAEM)을 제조하였다. 제조된 막의 1가 이온 선택성은 3.65였으며 동일 조건에서 1.27의 선택성을 갖는 상용막(ASE, Astom Corp.)보다 우수한 수준을 나 타내었다. 또한 제조된 막은 ASE 대비 낮은 전기적 저항 등 우수한 전기화학적 특성을 나타내었다. 0.459 M NaCl/0.0510 M Na2SO4의 해수와 0.0153 M NaCl/0.0017 M Na2SO4의 담수 조건에서 RED 성능을 평가한 결과 제조된 막을 적용하여 1.80 W/m2의 최대 전력 밀도를 얻었으며 이는 ASE 막 대비 40.6% 향상된 출력 성능이었다.
본 연구에서는 고투과성 및 높은 염 제거율을 가지는 역삼투막의 성능향상을 위하여 다양한 첨가제 및 계면중합 시 경화 온도 및 시간에 따른 특성평가에 대한 연구가 수행되었다. 첨가제가 없는 막과 첨가제를 첨가한 막의 모폴로지는 모 두 “ridge-and-valley” 구조를 나타내어, 폴리아미드 층이 다공성 지지층 표면에 성공적으로 중합되었음을 확인하였다. 또한 2-Ethyl-1,3-hexanediol (EHD) 첨가함으로써 향상된 친수성과 수투과율 가졌으며, 이는 접촉각 측정을 통해서 확인되었다. 최 종적으로 97.78%와 98.7%의 NaCl 및 MgSO4 제거율과 3.31 L/(m2⋅h⋅bar)의 높은 수투과율을 가진 고투과성 계면중합막을 제조하였다.
고성능 분리막 제조기술과 더불어 새로운 분리막 다단공정 설계를 통해 용매사용량 감소 및 선택도 향상이 가능 하다. 본 연구에서는 내용매성 셀룰로스 나노분리막을 제조하여 용매에 따른 용질의 선택도 차이를 비교하였다. 제막한 셀룰 로스 막을 기반으로 비극성 용매의 선택도 평가를 진행하였으며, 비극성 용매에서 용질에 대한 음배제율이 관측되었다. 특히, 분자량이 클수록 음배제율이 높아지는 역선택도의 거동을 확인하였다. 이를 기반으로 설계한 공정에서는 기존 분획 공정 대 비 3배 이상의 용매저감이 가능한 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
With about 80% of the global economy expected to shift to the global market by 2030, exports of reverse direct purchase products, in which foreign consumers purchase products from online shopping malls in Korea, are growing 55% annually. As of 2021, sales of reverse direct purchases in South Korea increased 50.6% from the previous year, surpassing 40 million. In order for domestic SMEs(Small and medium sized enterprises) to enter overseas markets, it is important to come up with export strategies based on various market analysis information, but for domestic small and medium-sized sellers, entry barriers are high, such as lack of information on overseas markets and difficulty in selecting local preferred products and determining competitive sales prices. This study develops an AI-based product recommendation and sales price estimation model to collect and analyze global shopping malls and product trends to provide marketing information that presents promising and appropriate product sales prices to small and medium-sized sellers who have difficulty collecting global market information. The product recommendation model is based on the LTR (Learning To Rank) methodology. As a result of comparing performance with nDCG, the Pair-wise-based XGBoost-LambdaMART Model was measured to be excellent. The sales price estimation model uses a regression algorithm. According to the R-Squared value, the Light Gradient Boosting Machine performs best in this model.
The production process of ultra-pure water (UPW) involves dozens of unit processes such as reverse osmosis (RO), pretreatments, membrane degasifier, and several ion exchange processes. Recently, continuous electrodeionization (CEDI) has replaced the 2-bed and 3-tower (2B3T) ion exchange process. As a result, the majority of wastewater in UPW production now comes from the RO concentrate. The important of RO in UPW production is to produce high-quality water with a low ion concentration (around 1 mg/L) for CEDI feed water. Minimizing RO concentrate is essential to reduce the wastewater produced in the UPW production process. This can be achieved by maximizing the recovery of the RO system. However, increasing the recovery is limited by the water quality of the RO permeate. To ensure high-quality permeate water, the RO system is designed with a two-pass configuration. The recovery of each pass in the RO system is limited (e.g., < 85%) due to the expected increase in permeate water concentration at higher RO feed water concentrations. Interestingly, tests using 4-inch RO modules with low concentration feed water (≤ 35 mg/L as NaCl) revealed that the permeate concentration remains almost constant regardless of the feed water concentration. This implies that the recovery of the first RO pass can be increased as long as the average feed/concentrate concentration of the second RO pass is less than 35 mg/L. According to this design criterion for the RO system, the recovery of the first and second RO pass, with a feed water concentration of 250 mg/L as NaCl, can be increased up to 94.8% and 96.0%, respectively. Compared to the conventional RO system design (e.g., 70% and 80% for the first and second RO pass) for UPW production, this maximum recovery design reduces the volume of RO feed and concentrate by up to 38.4% and 89.2%, respectively.
Depending on the type of waste, DC plasma torch uses a transfer type operation for conductive waste and a non-transfer type operation for non-conductive waste. The transfer mode plasma torch can secure high throughput because the arc directly contacts the object and has high thermal efficiency. However, since the non-transfer mode does not have a higher thermal efficiency than the transfer mode, higher output is required to secure high throughput. A method of increasing the output of the plasma torch is increasing the current or extending the length of the plasma arc. However, the method of increasing the current affects the life of the electrode, and there is a limit to extending the arc length in the positive polarity plasma torch. Therefore, it is effective to design the plasma torch with reverse polarity to secure life and extend the arc length. In the reverse polarity plasma torch, the front electrode serves as the cathode, and the cathode point is not easy to control compared to the anode point, which may cause abnormal arcing and damage the plasma torch. This paper was conducted to investigate the conditions for securing the safety of these non-transferable reverse polarity plasma torch. The plasma torch is designed to have an output of 100 kW or less and to use the detachable nozzle to control the cathode point. The test showed that the shape of the nozzle prevented the cathode point moving outside of plasma torch and the excessive extension of the arc. Thanks to this, it was confirmed that plasma could be stably formed and abnormal arcing could also be prevented.
DC plasma torch is reported as a technology that can be treated regardless of waste types because it can select transfer or non-transfer operation modes depending on the electrical conductivity of waste. Thanks to this characteristic, countries that operate nuclear power plants such as Switzerland, Japan, and Taiwan have developed high-power DC plasma torch to dispose of radioactive waste. And also in korea, a plasma torch is being developed to dispose of radioactive waste. This study was conducted to investigate the characteristics of the reverse polarity plasma torch according to the conditions of interelectrodes. The inter-electrodes of plasma torch used in the study was designed to be 25, 37 mm in diameter and 180 to 400 mm in length. As a result of the test, it was confirmed that the smaller the diameter and the longer the length of the inter-electrode, the more advantageous it was to achieve a high output power. And it was confirmed that the power torch would be 500 kW when the diameter of the inter-electrode was 25 mm, the length was 400 mm, and the current was 500 A.
This study was conducted to evaluate the filtration performance according to the feed temperature composed of NaCl and the operating pressure of the brackish water reverse osmosis (BWRO) process. The temperature is known that decides the filtration performance of reverse osmosis (RO). It is noted that temperature increase activates the permeate of salts due to augment of diffusivity and mass transfer. Filtration of the lab-scale RO system was performed with constant pressure and the constant flow was simulated. The salt rejection measured by the concentration of the feed and permeate was compared with water permeability and salt permeability in the conditions containing various temperatures (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30℃) and pressures (10, 12, 15, and 18 bar). An increase in feed temperature from 5 °C to 30 °C caused a 4.65% decrease in salt rejection in CSM, due to an increase in salt permeability (4.06 times) rather than an increase in water permeability (2.62 times). Specific energy consumption (SEC) was calculated by using an electricity meter set in the RO system. It was expected that the SEC by the increases in temperature and pressure decreased due to the viscosity decline of the feed and the permeate flux augment, respectively. The SEC decreased by 63.4% in CSM and by 54.3% in Nittodenko when the feed temperature increased from 5 °C to 30 °C. It discussed how to operate the optimal RO process through the effect of temperature and operating pressure and the comparison of SEC.
