        최근 국제적인 기후변화로 인해 다양한 산림해충들이 새로운 국가 또는 인접한 지역으로의 분포 확대가 증가 하고 있는 추세이다. 국내외의 대표적인 산림해충 분류군인 나무좀아과와 하늘소과에는 넓은 기주식물 범위를 가지고 있어 산림 생태계에 직간접적으로 피해를 야기하는 종들이 다수 포함되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 2023년 5월부터 10월까지 남북 접경지(강원 철원군, 양구군, 고성군) 내 혼합림에서 린드그렌 퍼넬 트랩(Lindgren funnel trap)을 활용하여 4가지 유인제(Ipsenol, Ipsedienol, Alpha-pinene, Monochamol) 조건별 나무좀류와 하늘소류의 유인효과와 시기별 발생 양상을 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 나무좀아과는 총 26속 45종 7,743개체, 하늘소과는 총 35속 42종 649개체를 확인하였다. 본 발표에서는 남북 접경지에서의 시기별, 지역별 나무좀류와 하늘소류 발생 양상과 4가지 유인제별 효과에 대한 결과를 보고한다.

        딱정벌레목 바구미과에 속하는 나무좀은 일찍부터 산림의 주요 해충으로 다루어져 왔다. 최근 사과원에서 M.9 대목을 이용한 사과 밀식재배가 확산되고, 기후변화에 따른 이상 기상으로 사과나무 동해에 의한 2차 나무좀 피해가 늘어나고 있어 이들에 대한 관리대책이 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구는 사과원에 발생하는 나무좀류의 발생 양상을 파악하고 효과적인 약제 선발을 통해 효율적인 방제 체계 개발을 위한 기초 자료로 활용하고자 수행하였다. 사과원에 발생하는 나무좀은 암브로시아나무좀, 오리나무좀, 붉은목나무좀, 사과둥근나무좀 등 4종으로 암브로시아나무좀이 우점종으로 조사되었다. 암브로시아나무좀의 발생은 4월부터 시작하여 연 2회 발생하였다. 주간부에서 나무좀의 피해는 대부분 21~100cm 높이에서 발생하였으며, 야외 방제 시험에서 Phentoate EC, Chlorpyrifos WP, Thiacloprid SC 등이 높은 방제가를 나타내었다.

        Ips acuminatus is a minute bark beetle found in forest and can cause economic damage to pine and spruce trees. This beetle has well developed sensory system respond to both of visual and chemical stimuli. Both sexes have a pair of faceted compound eyes and another pair of knobbed antennae, work together to collect vital information. The antennae look similar in both sexes and consist of scape, pedicel, and segmented flagellum. The pedicel is the first segment by which the antenna is attached to the head and the scape is set in a membranous socket and surrounded by the antennal sclerite on which a single articulation occurs. The beetle’s antennae enlarge abruptly at the last segment of a flagellum giving the antenna a knobbed appearance. There are a number of sensory receptors, including olfactory and mechanical receptors. Here, the fine structural characteristics of the antennal sensory organs in male and female bark beetle Ips acuminatus (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Scolytinae) were analysed with field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM).

         ,  , This study was conducted to elucidate the patterns of occurrence of bark beetles on deadwoods of Quercus serrata Fisher and Carpinus laxiflora Blume which are expected to increase due to climate change. The survey was carried out at the LTER site in Gwangneung forest in Gyeonggi Province in 2007-2008. Bark beetles were collected using emergence traps and attraction traps (funnel trap and window trap). A total of 408 beetles belonging to 12 species in two subfamilies were collected. Platypus koryoensis (Murayama) was the most abundant species. P. koryoensis and Xylosandrus germanus (Blandford) occurred mainly in deadwoods of Q. serrata. All other species, except two rare species, occurred commonly in deadwood of both tree species. Species richness and abundance of bark beetles were higher in the attraction traps than in the emergence traps, and higher in Q. serrata than in C. laxiflora. These indexes were higher in classes Ⅰ-Ⅱ or Ⅰ-Ⅲ than in classes Ⅲ-Ⅳ or Ⅳ of deadwood. Bark beetle communities differed according to years and showed a little difference between tree species.

        Up to days, approximately 150 species of the subfamily scolytinae have been recorded from Korean peninsula. We have examined the collections of the Museum in Seoul National University, Korea Forest Research Institute, Research Institute of Forest Insects Diversity and National Plant Quarantine Service. And we have collected the bark beetles with Malaise traps and Lindgren funnel traps from 2007 to 2011 in the central part of the Korean peninsula. As a result of this study, we report 4 species, Hylurgus ligniperda (Fabricius 1787), Sueus niisimai (Eggers 1926), Scolytogenes expers (Blandford 1894) and Xylosandrus compactus (Eichhoff 1878) to Korean fauna with brief descriptions and illustrations of diagnostic characters.

        The Korean record of Scolytoplatypus mikado Blandford 1893 is originated from Murayama (1929) whereas Wood(1989) synonimyzed S. sinensis Tsai & Huang 1965 as a junior synonym of S. mikado Blandford 1893. In 2010, the authors collected several specimens from Korea and Japan and found considerable morphological differences between S. sinensis and S. mikad the process on the prosternum, the pubescences on the procoxae, and the shape of the male elytral declivity. Comparing the Cytochrome Oxidase I and 16S rRNA gene, we also found the genetical gap between the South Korean specimens (= S. sinensis, with the Japanese sample from Mt. Tsukubasan) and the sample from Mt. Yamizosan, Japan (= S. mikado). Accordingly, S. sinensis Tsai & Huang 1965 is here reinstated.

        In this first paper of the main title, Platypodidae and a part of Scolytidae were included due to limited space. From the result, five species of Platypodidae, two species of Scolytoplatypinae and five species of Scolytinae including one newly recorded species (marked) from Korea, were redescribed with their list of known hosts in home and from abroad.
