PURPOSES : This study proposes an index for analyzing mobility based on smartcard and taxi data to evaluate imbalances in public transit.
METHODS : The proposed mobility index is calculated based on the difference between the mobility indexes of public transit and taxis using the variables of the in-vehicle time, waiting time, and driving ratio. For a more detailed analysis, the distances are divided into short distances, medium distances, and long distances.
RESULTS : Public transit mobility indexes are generally evenly distributed, but the taxi mobility indexes are located in the largest legend. When comparing the respective mobilities of public transit and taxis, many areas with a high mobility of taxis (similar to the distribution) exist, especially in the outskirts such as Dobong-gu, Nowon-gu, Gangdong-gu, Guro-gu, Geumcheon-gu, and Eunpyeong-gu. On average, the mobility of public transit according to the distance is smaller in a short distance and higher in a long distance.
CONCLUSIONS : The results demonstrate the use of the proposed index for analyzing the basic statuses of complementary indexes for evaluating public transit imbalances. In the future, more detailed results (including socioeconomic variables corresponding to the grid areas) should be studied to identify the impacts of the mobility index.
PURPOSES : The objective of this study is to investigate the spatiotemporal factors influencing the waiting time of special transportation systems for disabled people in Seoul, Korea.
METHODS : A parametric survival analysis was employed to identify the primary factors influencing longer waiting times, primarily because censoring data were included in the analysis. For the analysis, one-year historical data collected from the Seoul Call-taxi for the disabled in 2019 were used. Using normal probability plots and Anderson-Darling statistics, a log-normal model was estimated to fit the data.
RESULTS : In terms of time, there was a time zone in which the service level in terms of waiting time, such as late-night and dawn, decreased depending on the time of day called by call taxi users with disabilities in Seoul. Moreover, the waiting time on weekends was shorter than on weekdays. Spatially, when a user requests a service, there are many nearby vehicles when the traffic conditions nearby are good, and the waiting time tends to decrease near the depot. CONCLUSIONS : The existing system needs to reflect the increase in vulnerable times and the improvement of the dispatch method, considering the difference in the primary purpose of travel on weekdays and weekends. Additionally, to resolve the phenomenon in which vehicles are concentrated in a specific area, waiting time can be improved using operational strategies that can uniformly distribute vehicles in space, such as spatial subdivision of depots, real-time monitoring, and relocation.
PURPOSES : The impact of traffic accidents varies with the change in the social background of drivers. Thus, this study analyzes the characteristics of traffic accidents caused by taxis based on factors such as the type of taxi owner, driver’s age, and length of driver’s career and consequently suggests improvement methods.
METHODS: Based on the data of the accidents involving taxis registered in Seoul, this study analyzed traffic accidents by categorizing taxis by the type of owner, driver’s age, and length of driver’s career. For statistical verification, SPSS was used to derive the influence variables through polynomial logistic regression analysis, and accordingly, a method to reduce traffic accidents caused by taxis was proposed.
RESULTS: In the case of aged drivers and drivers with long careers, vehicle-to-vehicle accidents accounted for a lower percentage than other accidents; moreover, the accident rates in downtown and that at nighttime were high. Drivers with long careers had a lower percentage of selfinjury; however, as the total number of deaths and serious injuries caused by such drivers was higher, there is a greater risk of serious accidents caused by them.
CONCLUSIONS: This study analyzes the characteristics of taxi accidents based on the type of taxi owner, driver’s age, and length of the driver’s career to determine the periodical characteristics of taxi accidents in aging society. Therefore, the number of traffic accidents caused by taxis can be drastically reduced if the results of this study are used in the customized safety education of drivers and improvement of traffic facilities.
우버는 미국 캘리포니아 주 샌프란시스코에 본사를 둔 운송 네트워크 회사로서 휴대전화 애플리케이션이나 인터넷 홈페이지를 통하여 승객과 운 전자를 연결하여 주는 서비스를 제공하고 있다. 2013년경부터 우리나라에서도 유사한 서비스를 제공하기 시작하였는데 기존 택시업계 등과 많은 마찰이 있었다. 미국 상당수의 주에서는 관계 법령의 제⋅개정 을 통하여 우버와 같은 운송 네트워크 회사가 합법적인 영업을 할 수 있는 반면 아직 우리나라에서는 많은 규제를 받게 된다. 우리나라 택시 관계 법률은 크게 여객자동차 운수사업법과 택시운송 사업의 발전에 관한 법률이 있다. 여객자동차 운수사업법은 운수사업에 관한 면허제도, 운수사업에 종사하는 운전자의 자격 요건 및 위반사항에 대한 처벌에 관하여 비교적 자세하게 규정하고 있다. 택시운송사업의 발전에 관한 법률은 택시운송사업과 관련된 보조금, 면허의 제한 등을 규정하고 있다. 우버가 제공하는 서비스의 핵심은 운전자와 승객을 연결하여 주는 데에 있으므로 운송서비스 자체라고 보기는 어려울 수 있다. 하지만 현행 법령은 자가용자동차과 자동차대여사업자의 사업용자 동차를 유상 운송에 제공한 행위뿐만 아니라 그러한 제공을 알선한 행위도 처벌하고 있기 때문에 우버가 영업을 할 수 없다. 한편 규제로 인하여 현재 우리나라에서는 사실상 우버택시 서비스만 제공되고 있다. 우버택시와 관련하여서는 우버와 택시기사들 사이의 관계가 문제가 될 수 있는데 택시기사들의 행위로 인한 우버의 책임이 문제된다.
For professional drivers, there is a possibility to have musculoskeletal disorders on ankle joint due to repetitive pedaling operation. Therefore, this study have focused to examine ankle active range of motion (AROM), dorsiflexor strength, and pressure pain threshold (PPT) of tibialis anterior muscle (TA) in taxi drivers compared to a age-matched control group. Thirty male taxi drivers with at least 10 years of driving experience and thirty male sedentary workers were evaluated for ankle AROM, dorsiflexor strength, and PPT of TA. Multiple independent t-tests were used to identify significant differences between two groups. For the results, taxi drivers had significantly less AROM in dorsiflexion and greater AROM in external tibial rotation compared to the control group. Also, dorsiflexor strength and PPT of TA in taxi drivers was significantly lower than in the control group. This study indicates that the repetitive ankle movements associated with driving have an effect on ankle AROM, dorsiflexor strength, and PPT of TA and may lead to work-related musculoskeletal disorders on ankle. Professional drivers may need to be educated to prevent a potential musculoskeletal disorders associated with repetitive movement.

수요대응형 교통수단(Demand Responsive Transit)은 변화하는 이동수요에 대응하는 탄력적인 교통수단으로 단순히 노약자와 장애인을 위한 복지교통 서비스의 영역이 아니라, 무선통신과 위치정보서비스(Location Based Service: LBS)의 발달로 인하여 도심형 수단으로 보다 효율적인 교통수단으로 자리매김하고 있다. 그러나 문전서비스(Door-to-Door)를 제공하는 수요대응형 교통수단 시뮬레이션에 적합한 상용툴의 부재로 인하여 알고리즘이나 차량 운행 요소를 면밀하게 분석하기 힘든 어려움이 있었다. 본 연구는 수요대응형 교통수단에 연관된 다양한 차량 운영계획과 알고리즘을 구현, 평가할 수 있는 시뮬레이션 환경을 제안한다. 문전서비스(Door-to-Door) 기반의 차량 운행 모형을 적용하기 위하여 확보되어야 하는 시뮬레이션 입력 데이터를 정의하고 있으며, 수요대응형 교통수단의 대표적인 범주에 속하는 실시간 합승 택시(Shared-Taxi) 서비스를 서울시 교통망과 택시 수요를 이용하여 적용하였다. 합승 택시 운행 계획을 위하여 Nearest Vehicle Dispatch(NVD)와 Insertion Heuristic(IH), 두 종류의 알고리즘을 제안하였으며, 제안된 시뮬레이션을 통하여 성능을 비교하였다. 또한, 합승(Ride-sharing)을 허용하지 않는 일반적인 택시와의 비교를 통하여 시스템 효율 향상과 서비스 품질 변화를 분석하였다.
본 연구에서는 50대 택시 운전자를 대상으로 동작 신호인 Jerk-Cost function(JC)와 차간거리의 분산계수(Anterior-Posterior Coefficient of Variation, APCV), 차선이격거리의 분산계수(Medial-Lateral Coefficient of Variation, MLCV)와 같은 차량 통제 데이터를 이용하여 운전 중 문자 메시지 전송 또는 네비게이션 검색과 같은 동시 과제 수행이 운전 수행 능력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 남성 14명과 여성 14명을 대상으로 실험을 진행하였다. 피험자는 일정 속도(80km/hr or 100km/hr)로 주행하는 선행 차량과 일정 거리 30m를 유지하며 주행하도록 하였다. 처음 1분간은 운전만을 수행하게 하였으며, 다음 1분 동안은 운전만을 수행하거나 운전과 함께 동시 과제를 수행하도록 하였다. MLCV와 APCV는 80km/hr와 100km/hr 주행 시 Driving only에 비해 Driving + Sending Text Message(STM)와 Driving + Searching Navigation(SN)에서 유의하게 증가하였다. JC 또한 주행 시 Driving only에 비해 Driving + STM과 Driving + SN에서 증가하였다. 본 연구를 통해 운전 경력이 길고 운전 전문가라고 할 수 있는 50대 택시 운전자도 운전만을 수행하는 경우에 비해 운전과 함께 문자 메시지 전송 또는 네비게이션 검색 과제를 수행하게 될 경우 동작 패턴이 거칠어지고 차량 통제가 어려워진다는 사실을 도출할 수 있었다.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the secondary tasks such as sending text message (STM) and searching navigation (SN) on skin conductance level (SCL) during driving. The participants included 29 taxi drivers; 14 males aged 56.7 ± 4.3 with 29.7 ± 7.0 years of driving experiences and 15 females aged 55.5 ± 3.5 with 20.1 ± 5.7 years of driving experiences. All subjects were instructed to keep a certain distance (30m) from the car ahead and a constant speed (80km/h or 100km/h). SCL was measured during driving only and driving with secondary tasks. SCL was more increased during the driving with secondary tasks than driving only. By increasing the driving speed, SCL was increased during the driving with secondary taks. Secondary tasks increased an activation of sympathetic nerve system. However, there were no significant differences in the SCL according to gender.
The purpose of this study was to find prevalence and the relevant factors of low back pain among taxi-drivers. Information were obtained by a self-administered questionnaire during september, 2004, from 83 taxi-drivers in Gimhae, Kyung Nam province. The data were analyzed by chi-square test and Multiple Logistic Regression(if this is a proper noun, it needs to be capital, if not it needs lower case) by using SPSS 10.0 program. The result were as follows: 1) The prevalence rate of low back pain during lifetime was 81.9% among 83 taxi-drivers. 2) Statistically significant factors related to low back pain during lifetime were sleeping time(p<.05). 3) Through the multiple logistic regression, significantly relevant factors with low back pain were alcohol drinking (OR=.017, 95% CI=.001~.509), and sleeping time (OR=.111, 95% CI=.020~.636). It is necessary to study on a preventive measure of low back pain and systematic human engineering approach through objective clinical research.
This study was performed to investigate the health status of 600 owner-driver of taxi in Seoul City during from August 1, 2003 to February 28, 2004. The prevalence of subjective symptoms were surveyed by a general health questionnaires such as Todai Health Index (THI) and the Cornell Medical Index (CMI). In the THI health check table, prevalence of the complaints of mental subjective symptom by age was high in the items of fabrication (L), digestion (C), and aggressiveness (F) from 31 to 40 years old drivers and mental subjective symptom by age was high in all items except for tiredness (I), melancholia (N), and hypersensitivity (P) for the 60 years old drivers and showed in the items of melancholia (N) and hypersensitivity (P) for the 40 years old. From the complaints of mental and physical subjective symptoms about work satisfaction in the THI health check table, the strong dissatisfaction showed in the all items except for eye and skin trouble (B). All items except hypersensitivity (P) showed dissatisfaction in prevalence of complains of mental and physical subjective symptoms about work satisfaction in the CMI health check table. From the complains of mental and physical subjective symptoms on salary satisfaction in the THI health check table, the taxi driver who earn the salary of 1 million won showed statistically significant symptom of eye and skin trouble (B) and showed high tendency in all items except for respiratory (A) and digestion (C) systems. It is suggested that the appropriate health control for owner-driver of taxi should be applied to reduce the prevalence of complaints that showed mainly in the irregular working time and sleeping disorders.
Purpose - The purpose of this article is to examine the effects of perceived value, satisfaction, and continued use intention of e-service Quality of taxi-booking apps.
Research design, data, and methodology - The questionnaire was created to examine every relevant variables to practical and theoretical implications. The pilot survey was conducted for 15 days from April 7th to April 21st in 2016. Their total numbers were 354 surveys. But 330 copies were used for the analysis except 24 of them. To make a more effective analysis, several analysis tools and analysis programmes were used, such as IBM SPSS and AMOS.
Results - The results are as follows. First, all variables of e-service quality except safety make influences on perceived value. Second, e-service quality except safety makes influences on satisfaction. Third, perceived value makes influence on satisfaction and on intention of continued use. Fourth, satisfaction makes influence on intention of continued use.
Conclusions - First, 5 variables are very limited. more valuable variables are need to test with this model. Second, this study was conducted only in China. So there may be possible to the representatives. To use this model for better analysis and application abroad, more characteristics and strategic factors should be considered like the local culture of a particular country, attributes for different environment etc.
