일반적으로 泛义动词란 동사의 결합능력이 확대되면서 본래의미에서 벗어나 넓고 유동적인 의미를 나타낼 수 있는 성분을 말한다. 본 연구는 소위 V2와의 결합을 통 해 본 의미로부터 다소 허화하여 사동 의미를 나타낼 수 있는 ‘弄’, ‘搞’ 2개의 V1에 대해 사동 범의동사(使動泛義動詞)로 정의하고 연구를 진행한다. ‘사동 범의동사구조’ 의 각종 양상들은 어근형태소와 결합하여 대량의 파생어를 만들어 낸다는 점에 있어 서 사동 접사와 비슷한 부분이 많음을 파악할 수 있다. 그렇지만 사동 접사처럼 완 전히 문법적 의미만을 갖는 것도 아니고, 그렇다고 어근처럼 실질적 어휘의미를 발 휘하는 것도 아님에 착안할 때 중국어에도 수많은 어휘를 파생하는 사동파생법이 존재한다는 사실을 확인할 수 있다. 이를 위해 문법화 기제에 의한 범의동사의 범화과 정을 살피고, 이 둘의 구분이 어떤 특징에서 기인하는지 형식적, 문법적, 의미적으로 나누어 중점적 문제들을 다루어 본다
The stochastic method is applied to simulate strong ground motions at seismic stations of seven metropolises in South Korea, creating an earthquake scenario based on the causative fault of the 2016 Gyeongju earthquake. Input parameters are established according to what has been revealed so far for the causative fault of the Gyeongju earthquake, while the ratio of differences in response spectra between observed and simulated strong ground motions is assumed to be an adjustment factor. The calculations confirm the applicability and reproducibility of strong ground motion simulations based on the relatively small bias in response spectra between observed and simulated strong ground motions. Based on this result, strong ground motions by a scenario earthquake on the causative fault of the Gyeongju earthquake with moment magnitude 6.5 are simulated, assuming that the ratios of its fault length to width are 2:1, 3:1, and 4:1. The results are similar to those of the empirical Green’s function method. Although actual site response factors of seismic stations should be supplemented later, the simulated strong ground motions can be used as input data for developing ground motion prediction equations and input data for calculating the design response spectra of major facilities in South Korea.
본 연구에서는 제외국 관리 해양생물독소인 YTXs의 원 인조류, 독화생물, 국내·외 관리현황 및 분석법에 대해 리뷰하였다. 현재까지 YTXs에 의한 국내 수산물 오염이 보고된 사례는 없지만 기후변화로 인한 국내 연안 해역의 아열대화로 독성조류의 국내 유입 가능성이 있을 뿐 아니라 외국의 경우 YTXs에 의한 오염이 빈번하게 발생하고 있기 때문에 해당 국가로부터 수입되는 수산물의 경우 잠재적인 오염가능성이 있어 이에 대한 선제적 대응이 필요하다. YTXs는 와편모조류인 Protecratium reticulatum, Gonyaulax polygramma, Gonyaulax spinifera과 Lingulodinium polyedrum에 의해 생성되는 것으로 알려져 있으며, 이들은 국내 연안에도 출현한다. 현재 패류 내 YTXs는 메탄올 추출, SPE 카트리지 정제 후 LC-MS/MS를 이용하여 분석하고 있다. YTXs, pectenotoxins, azaspiracids와 같은 지용성 패독은 추출 및 정제 등의 전처리 과정이 유사하여 동시 분석이 가능할 것으로 보이며, 이에 대한 분석법 최적화가 필요하다. 향후 국내 해역의 YTXs의 원인조류 출현 및 국내 유통(국내산 및 수입산) 수산물의 오염에 대한 지속적인 모니터링이 필요하다.
Based on the interaction between construction and causative words, this paper explains the reasons for the diversity of causative words in the construction of causative words. This paper refers to Goldberg’s construction diagram and summarizes the interaction schema between the causative construction argument and the actor role of causative words. In this paper, relevant examples are used to explain the principle of the integration of the constructional elements of causative words and the roles of participants in causative words. On the basis of the fusion principle, this paper analyzes how the causative construction chooses and limits the actor role of causative words. This paper also makes a detailed summary of the fusion law between the causative constructors and the participants of causative words.
The empirical Green’s function method is applied to the foreshock and the mainshock of the 2016 Gyeongju earthquake to simulate strong ground motions of the mainshock and scenario earthquake at seismic stations of seven metropolises in South Korea, respectively. To identify the applicability of the method in advance, the mainshock is simulated, assuming the foreshock as the empirical Green’s function. As a result of the simulation, the overall shape, the amplitude of PGA, and the duration and response spectra of the simulated seismic waveforms are similar with those of the observed seismic waveforms. Based on this result, a scenario earthquake on the causative fault of Gyeongju earthquake with a moment magnitude 6.5 is simulated, assuming that the mainshock serves as the empirical Green’s function. As a result, the amplitude of PGA and the duration of simulated seismic waveforms are significantly increased and extended, and the spectral amplitude of the low frequency band is relatively increased compared with that of the high frequency band. If the empirical Green’s function method is applied to several recent well-recorded moderate earthquakes, the simulated seismic waveforms can be used as not only input data for developing ground motion prediction equations, but also input data for creating the design response spectra of major facilities in South Korea.
경계성(界性)이란 인류가 객관세계 사물의 경계(Boundary)를 인식하는 한 방식으로 유경계성(有界, boundary)과 무경계성(無界,unboundary)으로 분리된다. 인지적 경험에 근거하여 사물에 대한 ‘경계 설정’이 가능하면 그 사물은 유경계성을 띠고, 이 ‘경계 설정’이 불가능하다면 그 사물은 무경계성을 띤다. 인지언어학자들은 경계성 이론을 언어현상에 응용하여 설명하기 시작하였는데 본 연구는 이러한 언어현상의 경계성 이론에 입각하여 중국어 사동문법의 인지적 분석에 응용해 보았다. 특별히 현재 상용되고 있는 다양한 중국어 사동형태 가운데 그 형식상 동일한 유형의 사동구조로 취급되고 있는 ‘NP1+VP+NP2’ 구조와 ‘NP1+VP(‘V1V2’) +NP2’ 즉, 결과보어 사동구조에 착안하여 구조상 존재하는 문법적 차이를 근거로 ‘VP’와 ‘V1V2’가 술어로서 한정짓게 되는 경계성의 차이를 탐구하였다. 아울러 NP2와 了의 수반으로 인해 경계화 짓는 특성 및 자질이 어떻게 나타나는지 인지적 분석으로 접근하였다.
본고는 동일한 통사적 양상으로 실현되는 RVC구문이 서로 다른 의미구조를 표상하고 있 음을 밝히고, 이들의 의미적 범주화를 시도하였다. 현대중국어에서 능격동사, 비대격동사로 분류되는 RVC는 논항구조와 의미역에 따라 ‘자동’과 ‘타동’, ‘사동’이라는 서로 다른 의미구조 를 형성한다. 특히 타동문과 사동문은 통사적으로도 동일한 결합가를 가지기 때문에 그 의미 적 차이를 판단하기가 어렵다. RVC 타동구조는 <AGENT, THEME>의 논항구조를 통해 단 일 사건 내에서 동작의 행위자와 대상의 역학 관계를 바탕으로 이루어진 의미구조이다. 반면, RVC 사동구조는 <CAUSER, CAUSEE>라는 두 논항을 취하여 복합사건 내에서 원인을 유 발하는 사동주와 이로 인해 결과사건을 필연적으로 발생시키는 피사동주의 작용 관계를 중심 으로 의미구조를 형성한다. 이에 본고에서는 두 구문의 논항관계와 의미역, 사건구조를 통해 RVC 타동문과 사동문의 의미적 구분 문제와 RVC 사동문의 의미적 특징을 조명하였다.
19세기말 Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis(Map)이 요네병(Johne’s disease)의 원인균임이 밝혀진 이후, 불현성 감염된 동물들의 국제적 이동은 요네병을 전 세계로 퍼뜨리기 시작하였다. 이러한 요네병이 축산분야에 나타남과 동시에 새로운 형태의 대장염으로서 요네병과 같은 증상을 나타내는 질병(크론병)이 사람에게서도 나타나기 시작하였다. 그러나 Map이 이러한 새로운 대장염의 원인균이며 인수공통전염병의 원인체라는 인식은 20세기 후반 이러한 질병을 앓고 있는 사람의 조직으로부터 Map을 검출할 수 있게 되고서야 나타나기 시작했다. 본 총설은 어떻게 Map이 축산분야와 사람의 공중보건 측면 에서 심각한 문제를 야기시키게 되었고, Map 감염에 의한 대장염 환자의 치료가 어떻게 발전되어 왔는지 간단히 요약하고, 축산에서 Map의 통제를 위한 새로운 백신개발 전략에 대하여 소개한다.
The occurrence of mastitis in diary cattle has been caused by genetic, physiological, managemental and environment factors accounted for the highest percentage of worldwide disease in dairy cattle. The purpose of this study was to analyze the occurrences and causative bacteria of subclinical mastitis in milking cows and also examine the distribution of bacteria in milk by isolating and identifying bacteria both in whole milk and quarter milk. 31.4% of the milking cows suffered subclinical mastitis, and 9.5% had it in terms of quarter milk. According to the results of analyzing bacteria in quarter milk of which somatic cell count (SCC) was over 500 thousand, 15 kinds of bacteria were isolated, and among them, Pantoea spp. formed the biggest part as 15.8%. From whole milk, 37 kinds of bacteria were identified, and among them, Klebsiella oxytoca showed the highest identification rate as 30.1%. According to the results of bacteria analyzed from the quarter milk of entire milking cows, 52 kinds of bacteria were identified. Among them, 17 kinds of Staphylococci were isolated, and CNS (Coagulase-Negative Staphylococci) formed a large part as 44.9%. The findings of this study showed that various kinds of bacteria were isolated from cows having subclinical mastitis; therefore, when managing specifications about milking or such, dairy farm will have to take proper action like performing sanitary control or counting somatic cells regularly in order to do their best for reducing mastitis.
This study was performed to analyze the causative agents of disease occurred in Korean black goat. Bovine viral diarrhea (BVD) and infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) known as main causative agents of diarrhea and abortion in cattle were founded in Korean black goats. Escherichia coli and Clostridium perfringens are the main causes underlying diarrhea in Korean black goats as well as other animals. In addition, the orf virus was found as a causative agent of contagious ecthyma that shows frequent occurrence in Korean black goats. Leptospirosis was found in Korean black goats with low occurrence rate. However, unlike the reports from many other countries, we could not detect the antibodies for Johne’s disease and Neospora caninum in Korean black goats. These results are likely to contribute to improving the productivity of raising black goats as a field of livestock farming.
In the previous study it was demonstrated that most of sialolith contained bacterial colonies in their center of calcified laminated capsules1). Although it is still not determined whether the bacterial infection is a major pathogenic cause or not, many authors reported that the bacterial vegetation in sialolith can cause chronic suppurative inflammation in salivary gland. Actually a lot of different bacteria were found in oral cavity, most of them are non-pathogenic as normal flora, and only some of them are pathogenic for different mucosal infectious diseases. However, this study was aimed to identify a causative bacterial strain for the sialolith formation in human salivary gland. A strain of Bacillus subtilis (B. subtilis ) was found in the culture of sialolith, which was known to be a normal flora related to the fermentation of various Korean bean foods. In vitro culture experiment of B. subtilis it abundantly produced the thick biofilm aggregated around their cells and colony structure, which were subsequently attached on the surface of hydroxyapatite( HA) beads in scanning electronmicroscope(SEM) observation. The bacterial adherence on HA beads was strongest in the culture of B. subtilis, followed by Streptococcus mutans (Str. mutans ), oral mixed bacteria, and lactobacillus. Therefore, B. subtilis might be an important causative microorganism for the sialolithiasis in Korean people, and it is suggested that postmeal oral hygiene care should be required to reduce the number of normal flora, B. subtilis, after eating of fermented bean foods.
Benefactive verbs in Japanese can be classified into 1) ‘site ageru’(「してあげる」, 2) ‘site kureru’(「してくれる」), and 3) ‘site morau’(「してもらう」) depending on the direction of action. ‘Site morau’ sentences are syntactically and semantically similar to passive sentences in the sense that a benefactive of an action is in the subjective position and an agent is in the dative position. However, they morphologically take an active form. Thus, they share characteristics of both the active and passive voice. This article investigates the condition in which a ‘site morau’ sentence changes into a causative sentence. In addition, it analyzes the semantic similarities and differences between causative sentences and ‘site morau’ sentences. It also shows that ‘site morau’ sentences can be changed into causative sentences, since causative sentences have semantic properties of both ‘giving’ and ‘receiving’. Lastly, ‘site morau’ is subcategorized into 1) typical ‘site morau’, 2) moderate ‘site morau’, 3) causative ‘site morau’, with each type studied in depth.
This paper investigates three types of dative-marking causative verbs in Korean: caused motion verbs, adversative passive verbs, and periphrastic causative verbs that unmarkedly select for dativeparticled NP. Caused motion verbs arguably entertain lexically-introduced causative features, adversative passives involve lexico-syntactically oriented causative and passive morpheme(s), periphrastic causative verbs involve a syntactically active causative component. We examined the processing aspects of these three types of verbs, adopting the event-related potential (ERP) paradigm of superior temporal resolution. We crucially employed the dative/ ACC alternation well-known in Korean syntax to come up with the potentially anomalous or marked experimental conditions. The results are: motion verbs and adversative passive verbs with ACC NP, relative to ones with DAT NP, recorded the bi-phasic ERP components: N400 and reduced P600. On the other hand, periphrastic causative verbs with ACC NP, compared to ones with DAT NP, registered only reduced P600. Taken together, only the syntactically-active causative component licences the ACC Case on the NP whose dative particle is dropped. Motion verbs and adversative passive verbs are taken to fail to complete semantic integration with the preceding ACC NP, therefore attempting to undergo syntactic reanalysis.
Background : Development of new real-time PCR diagnosis method for simultaneous diagnosis of Cylindrocarpon destructans and Fusarium solani, causative fungi of ginseng root rot disease. C. destructans and F. solani are known to be the major pathogens of ginseng root rot disease. Root rot caused by these pathogens is a disease that is difficult to control because the disease progresses slowly and it is difficult to diagnose early and even when symptoms of plant seeding are present, the disease is already spread in the roots. Diagnostic methods to detect the presence or absence of ginseng roots rot fungi in soil before ginseng cultivation are currently being used as a method for controlling. However, commercialized soil extraction kits and PCR diagnostics have cost, diagnostic time, and single diagnostic problems, and need to develop new diagnostic methods.
Methods and Results : Primers and probes in the beta-tubulin 2 gene were designed for species-specific detection. In silico analysis, the detection rate of C. destructans was 100% and the detection rate of F. solani was 95%. The multiplex real time PCR optimization conditions including the internal control were established. The analytical sensitivity using positive samples was 10 copies/㎕ for C. destructans and 10 copies/㎕ for F. solani. As a result of performance comparison test with conventional PCR diagnosis methods, it was confirmed that the developed multiplex real time PCR method has the same or better performance in terms of sensitivity. In the developed soil extraction kit, the extraction time was reduced and the extracted DNA quality was improved, compared to the used soil extraction kit.
Conclusion : From the above results, we expect that the developed C. destructans / F. solani multiplex real time PCR diagnosis method and soil extraction kit will be useful for real-time monitoring of ginseng root rot pathogenic fungi in the soil of ginseng cultivation area and diagnosis of suitability of ginseng cultivation area.
Sungshim Hong and Jaekeun Lee. 2017. Let’s Talk about Let+Us: English Hortative and Causative Constructions. Studies in Modern Grammar 96, 67-88. This paper deals with the two seemingly alike constructions in the English language, LET’S construction and LET+US construction. The foci of the current research include (i) whether or not LET’S is a mere phonological contraction of LET+US, (ii) how they are different in their distribution, as well as their interactions with negation/Tag questions, and (iii) why they are different; their asymmetries are attributed to the internal structures of the two. That is, in this paper, their internal structures are distinctively proposed within the Minimalist syntax (Chomsky 1995, 2004, 2005, 2007). On the basis of a garden variety of the already known asymmetries between the two (Seppänen 1977, Fries 1964, Davies 1986, Palmer 1988, Potsdam 1998, Huddleston and Pullum 2002, Quirk et al 1972, 1985), we support the idea that in spite of some of their superficial similarities and looks, the two constructions, both of which contain an identical lexeme LET, need to be analyzed independently from each other. Following the insight of Alcazar and Saltarelli (2014), the light verb, v, is poised for Hortative LET’S in a mono-clausal configuration. The occurrence of Causative LET+US may contract into the isomorphic LET’S, the Hortative LET’S as well. Nonetheless, the Causative LET+US occurs in a bi-clausal configuration with a Tdef intervening, whose Spec is US or any other DP. This paper presents the internal structures of the Hortatives and Causatives differently so that their morpho-syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic disparities can be easily accounted for. It is suggested that the Hortative LET’S underwent syncretism (Radford 2004, Gelderen 2004, 2008), whereas the lexical LET survives as a main verb.
