The goals of this study were to investigate image quality of coronary CT angiography (CCTA) and change of radiation dose by using Adaptive Statistical Iterative Reconstruction (ASIR) technique. 40 subjects with BMI≥25 (A, C groups), 40 subjects with BMI<25 (B, D groups), Groups without ASIR (A, B groups), and with ASIR (C, D groups) were included. There were no statistical differences in image qualities (p>0.05). Radiation doses with application of ASIR were significantly lower than those of ASIR (51-53%, p<0.05). In CCTA scan-nings, ASIR technique helps to reduce radiation dose with preserved image quality.

The effect of loading on chloride penetration into concrete is evaluated in this study. It is found that the chloride pene- tration rates for OPC concrete and blast furnace slag BFS concrete under the tensile stress were increased by 29% and 77%, respectively. The diffusion coefficient of FA and BFS concrete was lower than that of conventional concrete without BFS, no loads and stress states. Under tensile stress, the diffusion coefficient for FA and BFS, plain concrete showed higher values with increasing stress. The influence of specific surface area on the diffusion coefficient was investigated. As a result, the larger the specific surface areas of BFS are the lower diffusion coefficients. This tendency was more pronounced under the high stress conditions. The chloride penetration depth was distributed uni- formly when no stress was applied. However, in the case of tensile loading, the diffusion depth was not distributed uni- formly, and showed prominent characteristics. This result indicates that analysis using average values of chloride pene- tration depth is not proper under load conditions.

The In the experiment on flow using sand walls, when white clay + sand was mixed with glutinous rice, traditional paper and seaweed as adherents and preventive measures for cracks, the flow was higher than other sand wall mortars. This indicates that it is effective in improving flow. Moreover, in terms of strength, a mix of white clay+ sand, traditional paper and flour had a greater strength than a mix of white clay + sand, straws and flour. In the experiment to test for cracks and shrinking during drying, a composition of white clay + sand + traditional paper showed fewer cracks and less shrinking than the walls where straws were mixed in.

For the CLMS using FA as powder and S and SS as fine aggregates, respectively, in order to improve flowability by preventing material separation and securing quantity of minimum unit and to secure maximum strength by repressing bleeding, the most reasonable and optimal combinations of FA+S and FA+SS were f/a 20 and f/a 60, respectively.

As a result of strength test on FA and BFS, FA concrete showed higher increase of strength compared to OPC, when FA4000 and FA5000 were mixed 30%, respectively. For BFS concrete, those mixed with 30% and 50% of BFS8000, respectively, showed higher or equivalent strength compare to OPC. As a result of test of chloride penetration on FA and BFS, diffusion coefficients of concrete mixed with 30% FA4000 and FA5000, respectively, showed to restrain average 6.5% of diffusion coefficient compared to OPC. And in case of BFS concrete, those mixed with BFS6000 and BFS8000, restrained diffusion of chloride ions 253% and 336%, respectively, compared to OPC. Therefore, Mixing 50% of BFS was most efficient in order to maximize restraint of chloride penetration according to metathesis of large amount.

In this study, we identified 26 cases scheduled for lower extremity computed tomography (CT) angiography who had implanted metal devices. These CT exams were performed for evaluation of patients' symptoms related with gait disturbance. CT scans were performed on 128-MDCT using our standard parameters. The row image data were reconstructed using two different methods, standard filtered backprojection (FBP) algorithm and the metal artifact reduction for orthopedic implants (O-MAR) algorithm. Images were evaluated with 3-point scales. The difference of image scores for FBP (1.5±0.81) and OMAR (1.92±0.79) was significant (p<0.05). O-MAR reconstruction significantly improved quality of CT angiography for patients with metal implants.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate perfusion density of an old myocardial infarction using cardiac multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) with arterial phase. We included 56 patients with an old myocardial infarction who had undergone medical treatment, primary angioplasty or bypass graft. Cardiac MDCT without stress perfusion was used for calculation of density of myocardial perfusion and global left ventricular function in patients was also analyzed according to initial and last follow-up echocardiography. All patients showed decreased perfusion in the left ventricular wall. Densities of normal ventricular wall, cavity of the left ventricle, and infracted wall were 105±29 HU, 471±117 HU, and 11±29 HU (-64 HU-57 HU), respectively. Subendocardial fat depositions were observed in 19 patients (34%). Ejection fractions of initial and last follow-up periods near to the date of cardiac CT were 61±9 % and 57±12 %, respectively. In conclusion, decreased perfusion less than 60 HU in cardiac CT with arterial phase was helpful in diagnosus of an old myocardial infarction.

Recently, the number of jellyfish has been rapidly grown because of the global warming, the increase of marine structures, pollution, and etc. The increased jellyfish is a threat to the marine ecosystem and induces a huge damage to fishery industries, seaside power plants, and beach industries. To overcome this problem, a manual jellyfish dissecting device and pump system for jellyfish removal have been developed by researchers. However, the systems need too many human operators and their benefit to cost is not so good. Thus, in this paper, the design, implementation, and experiments of autonomous jellyfish removal robot system, named JEROS, have been presented. The JEROS consists of an unmanned surface vehicle (USV), a device for jellyfish removal, an electrical control system, an autonomous navigation system, and a vision-based jellyfish detection system. The USV was designed as a twin hull-type ship, and a jellyfish removal device consists of a net for gathering jellyfish and a blades-equipped propeller for dissecting jellyfish. The autonomous navigation system starts by generating an efficient path for jellyfish removal when the location of jellyfish is received from a remote server or recognized by a vision system. The location of JEROS is estimated by IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) and GPS, and jellyfish is eliminated while tracking the path. The performance of the vision-based jellyfish recognition, navigation, and jellyfish removal was demonstrated through field tests in the Masan and Jindong harbors in the southern coast of Korea.

The camera has limitations of poor visibility in underwater environment due to the limited light source and medium noise of the environment. However, its usefulness in close range has been proved in many studies, especially for navigation. Thus, in this paper, vision-based object detection and tracking techniques using artificial objects for underwater robots have been studied. We employed template matching and mean shift algorithms for the object detection and tracking methods. Also, we propose the weighted correlation coefficient of adaptive threshold -based and color-region-aided approaches to enhance the object detection performance in various illumination conditions. The color information is incorporated into the template matched area and the features of the template are used to robustly calculate correlation coefficients. And the objects are recognized using multi-template matching approach. Finally, the water basin experiments have been conducted to demonstrate the performance of the proposed techniques using an underwater robot platform yShark made by KORDI.
