Marketing automation influence the marketer’s decisions, enables them to automate traditionally marketing. Customers should receive automated and personalized communications. Marketing automation is the fastest growing tools in terms of adoption among digital marketers because of its capacity to achieve one-to-one communications and marketing tasks without any technical or personal skills.
When social media users post their opinion on social media, they might expect to receive a favorable evaluation from others (e.g., ‘like’ on Facebook and ‘heart’ on Instagram). On the contrary, when users read and evaluate other’s posts, they are less likely to care about others. What’s more, if users spend more time on social media, posting would make them more care about others. This research answers the question ‘Does social media interaction alter the way we perceive value and affect different choice? Three studies show 1) how social media interaction affects consumers’ luxury value perception and the mediating role of social media self-view (interdependent vs. independent self), 2) how main effect and mediated relationship are different between two groups divided by participants’ time spent on social media (high vs. low: ±1 SD) and 3) how the type of social media interaction (post vs. “like”) affects handbag choice between social and functional luxury-superior option.
The global luxury travel market is in a constant state of flux, and traditional players have to adapt to the rising challenges in various areas of their business model. As new players emerge, using technology and the global reach of the Internet and social media to reach out to a discerning group of travelers, they speak to the changing expectations and behavior of international consumers. Our study will shed light on these consumption and travel patterns, on ways new disruptors in the field of luxury hospitality successfully differentiate themselves from their more traditional competitors and on the implications this will have on the business models of five-star hotels in Switzerland. While limited in scope, this study will provide insight relevant to academics and professionals in the field of luxury hospitality.
The purpose of this research is to explore the factors that affect a celebrity’s perceived authenticity on social media sites. In total, 653 Taiwanese consumers were recruited to examine the proposed model. The findings generally support our model. The theoretical and managerial implications of this study are discussed.
This study assesses the fashion blogging content and what type(s) of content categories attract SNS users’ attention on Chinese social networking sites via content analysis and eye-tracking methods. Fashion bloggers need to optimize their content strategies to remain outstanding in competitive online environments. Based on literature review, we generated five content codes social fashion blogging posts, and examine the effect of the posts based on fixation count, the duration, and time to first fixation. Study one categorised posts themes into the codes. Then examine and analysis the frequently used content, how these influence on audience attention through includes total fixation duration (TFD), fixation count (FC) and time to first fixation (TFF). The findings could provide guides for fashion bloggers to generate more effective and engagement content to audiences.
This research aims to identify the main drivers behind consumers’ connection with fashion brands on social media. With a sample of 29 in-depth interviews with French individuals the study analyzes why and how consumers connect with fashion brands on social media platforms. Our results disclosed three categories of drivers: information with characteristics of information seeking, need for “staying in”, public self-consciousness and tracking promotions; aspirational with characteristics of entertainment, visual enjoyment, and dreaming; and last social with characteristics of need for belonging to brand community, social contamination, and benchmark with reference groups. Theoretical and empirical implications are discussed as well.
The resale market of used items selled about U$ 16 billions in 2015 in the US. We interviewed twelve consumers to better understand this phenomenon, Our results showed that consumers choose SHP due to economic reasons, and sustainability is marginally considered. Contamination is the main barrier to consume used products.
Unlike slow fashion that takes workers, consumers and environmental welfare into consideration, fast fashion is criticized for neglecting these. This study investigates attitudes and adoption intention of the slow fashion concept among young adults in South Africa, a highly socio-economically unequal emerging market. An extended information adoption model will be adapted and tested through a self-administered survey of 300 respondents. The results will provide marketing professionals, environmental and consumer interest groups and policy makers with valuable insight into barriers and motivators of slow fashion idea adoption among young adults who are a large, influential and profitable consumer segment.
The current study investigates how retailers deal with sustainability issues in different market fields with a specific focus on fashion industry. This work examines the last ten years of the scientific literature on sustainable retailing (SR), through a systematic literature review. 215 papers selected from the EBSCO database are analyzed, in order to develop an overview on the state of the art of research on SR. A comprehensive framework for a holistic definition of SR and for retailers’ practices related to sustainability is outlined. Future research directions on SR are provided.
Collaborative apparel consumption is proposed as more sustainable alternative to conven-tional consumption. The purpose of this study is the exploration of consumers’ motives to participate in collaborative apparel consumption. Findings suggest that consumers’ inten-tion to participate in collaborative apparel consumption is mainly influenced by financial benefits, convenience and sustainability awareness.
