The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among English learners’ motivation, strategies, and achievement. The participants were 61 Korean college students specializing in Aviaition Service and they took a mock TOEIC and completed a questionnaire on learning motivations and strategies. T-test and multiple regression analysis were used to determine the relationships among all variables. The findings revealed that, first, variables in integrative motivation were found to be a statistically significant predictor of achievement while variables in instrumental motivation’ was higher order motivation type. Second, participants used ‘compensation strategies’ most frequently and higher-achieving students used more strategies than their peers did. ‘Metacognitive strategies’ and ‘affective strategies’ had statistically significant impacts on their achievement. In conclusion, the relationships among learning motivation, strategies and achievement was found to be definite. Implications for more effective study habits are suggested.
미리찌 증후군은 담낭결석증의 드문 합병증으로, 담낭 경부나 담낭관의 결석에 의한 압박으로 인해 총간관의 폐쇄가 발생하게 된다. 미리찌 증후군은 수술적 치료를 하게 되며 그 방법은 질환의 세부 분류에 따라 다양하다. 미리찌 증후군의 외과적 치료 후 발생한 담관 협착은 드문 합병증이며 담도-장 문합술을 시행한 환자에서 이를 내시경적으로 치료하는 것은 불가능하다. 본 증례는 미리찌 증후군의 수술적 치료 후 발생한 담관 문합부 협착을 장기간 경피경간 담도배액술로 치료하여 이를 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.
Phosphorus is one of the limiting nutrients for the growth of phytoplankton and algae and is therefore one of leading causes of eutrophication. Most phosphorous in water is present in the form of phosphates. Different technologies have been applied for phosphate removal from wastewater, such as physical, chemical precipitation by using ferric, calcium or aluminum salts, biological, and adsorption. Adsorption is one of efficient method to remove phosphates in wastewater. To find the optimal media for phosphate removal, physical characteristics of media was analysed, and the phosphate removal efficiency of media (silica sand, slag, zeolite, activated carbon) was also investigated in this study. Silica sand showed highest relative density and wear rate, and phosphate removal efficiency. Silica sand removed about 36% of phosphate. To improve the phosphate removal efficiency of silica sand, Fe coating was conducted. Fe coated silica sand showed 3 times higher removal efficiency than non-coated one.
Wastewater treatment using ferrate (Ⅵ) solution is becoming a promising technology for several years, because it is high efficient and harmless technology. In this study, the ferrate (Ⅵ) solution was tested to treatment of desulfurization wastewater. The effluent from desulfurization wastewater treatment process of power plant was used as raw water, and the COD and T-N removal efficiency of ferrate(Ⅵ) solution were investigated. In the test, as the injection rate increased from 0.1 to 1.0%, the removal efficiency of COD also slightly increased, about 80% of COD were removed in 1.0% of injection rate. In the case of T-N, about 50% of T-N was removed in the condition of 1.0% of injection rate. The removal efficiency of COD and T-N also affected by reaction time,maximum removal efficiency was shown in 30 min of treatment. From these results, the wastewater treatment with ferrate(Ⅵ) solution can be great solutions for treatment of non-biodegradable pollutants in wastewater, especially for the 3rd treatment of wastewater.
현재까지 상당한 기술적인 진보가 있어왔지만, 연구개발의 커다란 기술적 어려움으로 꼽히는 것은 오염물질의 비가역적인 흡착에 의한 분리막 오염과 이로 인한 시스템 성능 저하이다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방안으로 redox 반 응을 이용한 표면개질을 통해 분리막의 표면을 산화/환원 반응을 통해 개질하는 것으로서, 고분자 분리막의 탄소를 바탕으로 음이온 및 양이온을 가진 작용 기를 순차적으로 중합하여 오염물질과 분리막의 전기적 반발력을 향상시켜 분리막의 표면 오염을 저감하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 양이온, 음이온성 오염물 질을 동시에 제거할 수 있는 표면개질 방법을 개발하고자 redox 반응을 이용한 접목중합을 통해 고분자 분리막의 표면을 개질하는 연구를 수행하였다.
Background: A critical features of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is cognitive dysfunction, which partly arises from decreased in acetylcholine levels. AD afftected brains are characterized by extensive oxidative stress, which is thought to be primarily induced by the amyloid beta (Aβ) peptide. In a previous study, Cinnamomum loureiroi tincture inhibited acetylcholinesterase (AchE) activity. That study identified AChE inhibitor in the C. loureiroi extract. Furthermore, the C. loureiroi extract enhanced memory in a trimethyltin (TMT)-induced model of cognitive dysfunction, as assessed via two behavioral tests. Rosa laevigata extract protected against oxidative stress-induced cytotoxicity. Administrating R. laevigata extracts to mice significantly reversed Aβ-induced learning and memory impairment, as shown in behavioral tests. Methods and Results: We conducted behavioral to examine the synergistic effects of C. loureiroi and R. laevigata extracts in inhibiting AChE and counteracting TMT-induced learning and memory losses. We also performed biochemical assays. The biochemical results showed a relationship between increased oxidative stress and cholinergic neurons damage in TMT-treated mice. Conclusions: A diet containing C. loureiroi and R. laevigata extracts ameliorated learning and memory impairments in the Y-maze and passive avoidance tests, and exerted synergistic inhibitory effect against AChE and lipid peroxidation.
최근 구조물의 대형화에 따른 큰 지지력의 말뚝에 대한 수요가 증가하는 추세이다. 이에 따라 기성 PHC말뚝의 경우에도 700~1,200 mm 범위의 대구경 말뚝에 대한 활용이 증가하고 있고 최근 국내 현장에 적용되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 대구경 PHC말뚝의 휨성능을 향상시키기 위 해 철근과 콘크리트로 보강하여 합성 PHC말뚝을 제작하였다. 휨강도 평가는 4등분점 제하실험을 통해 변위제어 방법으로 수행되었다. 휨실 험을 통해 LICPT 실험체 횡방향 철근의 변형률 분포를 분석한 결과 횡방향 철근의 배근은 전단균열의 진전과 균열폭 제어에 효과적인 것으로 나타났고, 복부전단균열 발생을 억제할 수 있었다. LICPT 실험체는 LICP 실험체 보다 휨강도가 약 1.08배, 중앙부 변위가 약 1.19배 증가하였 고, 횡방향 철근의 배근은 말뚝의 연성적인 휨거동 확보에 유리한 것으로 나타났다. 말뚝 제작시 사용되는 각각의 재료가 휨강도에 기여하는 수준을 층상화 단면 해석으로 계산된 축강도-휨모멘트 상관도를 통해 평가하였다. 기성 PHC말뚝과 LICP 실험체의 실제 휨강도를 1.13배, 1.16 배의 안전율로 예측할 수 있었다.
This is a study on the volatile organic compounds(VOCs) concentrator with zeolite adsorptive honey rotor and catalytic combustion system for abating VOCs emitted from printing industry. VOCs emitted from the printing industry is mainly caused by organic solvent of printing ink. The content of organic solvents in printing ink varies from 40% to 75% and its content in the gravure ink is higher than that in any other ink. The average concentrations of each VOCs are 139 ppm for toluene, 152.1 ppm for MEK, 256.9 ppm for methanol and 42.9 ppm for isopropyl alcohol. We used zeolite honeycomb for absorbent of VOCs concentrator and palladium for catalyst combustion system. This system abated over 96% of emitted total VOCs, 98% of toluene, 100% of MEK, 92% of methanol and 100% of isopropyl alcohol. It is concluded that the low-leveled high-volume VOCs emitted from printing process were removed almost by concentrator with zeolite adsorptive honey rotor and catalytic combustion system.
In building demolition work, major dust-generating activities are blasting concrete and rock. The aim of this study was to find the characteristic of particle size of dusts which were generated during building demolition work using explosion. The DustMate of the Turnkey-Instruments Ltd. was used for particulate size-selective sampling of the four sites. TSP(Total Suspended Particle), PM10(Particle Matter 10 μm), PM2.5(Particle Matter 2.5 μm), and PM1.0(Particle Matter 1.0 μm) were measured during building demolition work using explosion. The large particulate (higher than the diameter 10 μm) showed to be higher than 50%. The particulate ranged from 10 μm to 2.5 μm showed about 30-40%. PM2.5 was not scarcely detected in the samples collected for building demolition work using explosion. We conclude that the dust generated during building demolition work using explosion has not most respirable particulate.
조혈세포의 주요 서식지가 되는 골수기질세포는 줄기세포의 운영을 결정하는 다양한 인자들을 제공한다. 방사선 요법은 항암치료법으로 널리 활용되고 있으나, 조혈세포의 파괴로 인한 부작용이 심각한 문제로서 조혈세포에 의한 혈액 세포가 빠른 시간 내에 회복되는 것이 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 방사선을 조사했을 때의 줄기세포 서식지를 구성하는 세포인 골수기질세포에서 발현되는 유전자를 탐색하여 그 기능과 조절 및 혈액 형성을 이해하는 기초를 마련하고자 하였다. 방법
