        Our study is aimed at proposal of systematic verification method of molecular structure using measuring method of selective ionic determination and spectrometry on 34 kinds of surfactants such as sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS) which are most widely used today. In the IR spectrum, unsaturated fatty acids reveal themselves by HC= at 3000~3020cm-1, and intensity of 720cm-1 depends on carbon length of alkyl group. Also ethylene oxide(EO) adducts exhibit weak characteristic bands by -CH2-CH2-O at 1350, 1100 and 950cm-1. Isethionate can be distinguished from diester succinate by intensity ratio of 1740 and 1200cm-1 spectrums, the ratio of latter is close to 1 due to 2 carboxylate radical in diester succinate. Quaternary ammonium salts exhibit characteristic band of C4N+ at 1000-900㎝-1. In the case of dialkyl dimethyl ammonium salts in quaternary ammonium surfactants, the spectrum of 3000cm-1 by N-CH3 collapses to a very weak band at 3020cm-1. In ammonium heterocyclic derivatives, pyridinium salts show characteristic bands at 1640 and 1460cm-1, while imidazolinium salts exhibit characteristic band at 1620-1610cm-1. In the characteristic spectrum at 1080-1050cm-1 on OH radicals of the alkyl esters, primary alcohol appears as weak band and the 2 bands show in almost same intensity when primary and secondary alcohols exist together in one molecule. Also, alkyl ester of polyhydric alcohols appears as various broad band.

        An ACR/HMMM film was prepared by blending high-solid ACR with curing agent, hexamethoxymethyl melamine (HMMM). An active curing reaction was observed at 170℃. The dynamic viscoelastic Tg of the final film increased with the static viscoelastic Tg of the film. The log damp value, which means a viscoelastic ratio, decreased with the increase in the curing temperature of the film. Physical properties of the films were within a suitable range for films, and by an accelerated weathering resistance test the films were proved weather resistible ones.

        본 연구에서는 연질 폴리우레탄 발포제 제조에서 여러 발포제와 내부온도, 기계적 물성과의 관계에 대해서 연구, 조사하였다. 발포제로는 물을 주발포제로 하여 보조발포제는 CFC-11(trichlorofluoromethane), HCFC-114b(dichlorofluoroethane), dichloromethane, n-pentane, iso-pentane, cyclopentane을 사용하였다. 기계적 물성을 측정하기 위하여 연질 폴리우레탄 발포제의 밀도가 0.015±0.002g/cm3와 0.024±0.002g/cm3인 두 종류의 발포제를 제조하였다. 연질 폴리우레탄의 발포제의 제조시 발포제별로 내부온도를 측정하였으며, 48시간 경과 후 밀도, 인장강도, 신장율, 인열강도, 압축강도, 압축영구변형률을 측정하였다. 연구 결과 dichloromethane과 cyclopentane이 보조발포제로 가장 적합하였다.

        Cyclodextrin are obtained from starch by enzymatic degradation. The three best characterize forms are α, β, γ cyclodextrin consisting of 6, 7, and 8 D-glucose units, respectively. Each of the glucose units are in the rigid C1 chair conformation and are linked by α 1,4 bonds. This geometry gives the cyclodextrin the shape of a hollow truncated cone with the wider side formed by the secondary 2- and 3-hydroxy groups and the narrower side by the primary 6-hydroxy group. The most characteristics property of the cyclodextrin is their ability to form inclusion complexes with a wide range of guest moleculars. We syntheses per-6-substituted β-cyclodextrin derivatives and investigate structures, spectrospcopic properties. The substituted materials are piperidine, piperazin, morphorine. The synthetic compound showed a good solubility than natural β cyclodextrin in organic solvents such as methylene chloride, methanol, ethanol, etc.

        Durable softening water repellents for nylon fiber were synthesized, using two compounds: quaternized octadecyl methacrylate-2-diethylaminoethyl methacrylate copolymer as a mother resin of water repellent and quaternized fatty carbamide for improving softness and hydrostatic pressure, of which syntheses were studied in the previous papers. They were blended with waxes and emulsifiers in a variety of ratios and synthesized into water repellent PADWC, and it was nylon taffeta treated with and without textile finishing resin. The synthesized water repellents can be used either or without resin. The optimum curing temperature was 150 to 160℃ and the optimum concentration was 3 to 5wt%. In the independent and conjunct treatment, the water repellency of nylon taffeta samples have no remarkable changes between initial value and that after three times washing, so these prove that the synthesized compounds are durable water repellent. The water repellency of PADWC-3 and -4 were around 90. Also, comparison of crease recovery and tear strength after repelling treatment showed that the synthesized water repellents have a very high softening effect.

        Chitin was isolated from crab shells by modified Hackman's method, which was treated again with aqueous sodium hydroxide solution to give alkali chitin(sodium alkoxide of chitin). And after, the alkali chitin is allowed to react with monochloroacetic acid to synthesize 6-O-(carboxymethyl) chitin [CM-Chitin] under diminished pressure. In order to synthesize high performance CM-Chitin as hygroscopic agent, it was measured that the yield and degree of subsititution of each CM-Chitin according to molar ratio(monochloroacetic acid equivalent mol/N-acetyl-D-glucosamine residue) and their moisture-absorption and moisture-release properties were measured and compared with those of hyaluronic acid. The moisture-absorption and moisture-release properties of CM-Chitin, especially 0.8 in degree of substitution, were found quite similar to those of hyaluronic acid. The preliminary results show that CM-Chitin might be used as hygroscopic agent instead of hyaluronic acid in field of cosmetics.
