        The improvement in the high-class planning, design, and construction characteristics of new model Cruise Liner has been required. To find design philosophy way to improve the total Cruise, we need a world Cruise Fleet which agrees well with design morphology results. This paper describes the creation of world Cruise Fleet from conceptual design to total Cruise model and procedures to confirm the model with embodiment design test result.

        The small-waterplane-area-twin-hull(SWATH) ship has been recognized as a promising high performance ship because of her superior seakeeping characteristics and large deck area for various operations compared to the conventional monohull ship. significant advances in analytical technics for the prediction of the ship motions, wave loads and structural responses, structural fatigue and its prediction, and hull vibration for ship motions, wave loads and structural responses, structural fatigue and its prediction, and hull vibration for SWATH ship have been much developed during the last twenty years. Based on these developments in technology an integrated computational procedures for prediction wave loads and structural responses can be used to get a accurate results. But the major problem of SWATH ship's structural design is the accurate prediction of structural responses by the maximum critical loads likely to be experienced during the life of SWATH. To get a easier and safer computational procedures and the analytical approach for determining the accurate structural responses, a case study has been presented through the project experienced.

        기존의 유기계 자외선차단제는 피부투과 및 자극으로 인한 안전성의 문제가 제기되었으며, 무기계 자외선차단제는 나노화에 따른 안전성 문제가 제기되고 있다. 이로 인하여, 최근의 자외선차단제 연구는 유효성뿐만 아니라 안전성이 우수한 다양한 형태의 자외선차단제가 연구되고 있으며, 그 중의 하나가 유기-무기 결합구조의 자외선차단제에 관한 연구이다. 본 연구진은 가교된 고분자 입자 타입의 신규 자외선차단제로서 메톡시신나미도프로필실세스퀴옥산의 제조, 물성 및 유효성 평가에 대하여 보고한 바가 있다. 본 연구는 신규 자외선차단제인 메톡시신나미도프로필실세스퀴옥산의 랫드에 대한 배·태자 발생독성 연구에 관한 것으로서, 이러한 평가는 본 시험물질이 임상에서 임신 전·후에 노출 되었을 경우 불임 및 배ㆍ태아의 이상에 대한 구체적인 정보를 제공해줄 것으로 기대된다.

        함정은 적과이 전투 환경에서 충분한 전투력을 발휘하여야 하고 우수한 공격 능력뿐만 아니라 적의 위협 무기에 대한 적절한 방어능력을 반드시 갖추어야 한다. 함정이 방어 능력은 생존성으로 표현되고 있다. 함정의 생존성을 향상시키는데로 민감성의 감소대책이 가장 효과적이라고 할 수 있으나, 수상 전투 함정은 노출되기 쉽고 공격을 받을 수 있는 위협 무기가 매우 다양하기 때문에 취약성의 감소대책이 보다 강조되고 있다. 취약성의 감소대책으로는 이중선체, 상자형 거더(box girder), 이중 횡 격벽 및 방탄 강화 격벽의 설치, 파편 등의 방벽 설치 등의 다양한 방법이 있으나, 현실적으로 많은 비용과 중량 증가 등의 요인이 발생함으로 소요비용 대비 취약성 감소 효율 측면을 고려하여 주어진 설계 제한 범위 내에서 적용 가능한 보호 수준을 결정하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 생존성 향상을 위한 선체 구조 설계기술의 평가 절차와 대책에 대한 방법론 등을 검토하고, 특히 상자형 거더 설치가 선체 구조의 생존성 향상에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다. 상자형 거어더의 효용성을 수치해석을 통하여 살펴보았고, 해석 결과 상자형 거어더의 설치는 생존성을 향상시킬 수 있는 유효한 설계 방법임을 알 수 있었다.

        In this paper a complicated structural behavior in collision and its effects of energy translation to the collision bulkhead was examined through a methodology of the numerical simulation to obtain a ideal bow construction and a location of collision bulkhead against head on collision. In the present the bow structure is normally designed in consideration of its specific structural arrangements and internal and external loads in these area such as hydrostatic and dynamic pressure, wave impact and bottom slamming in accordance with the Classification rules, and the specific location of collision bulkhead by SOLAS requirement. By these studies the behavior of the bow collapse due to collision was synthetically evaluated for the different size of tankers and its operational speed limits, and by the results of these simulation it provides the optimal design concept for the bow construction to prevent the subsequent plastic deformation onto or near to the collision bulkhead boundary and to determine the rational location of collision bulkhead.

        The production process of the compound-curved hull plates includes hull design, definition, fairing, modeling, lofting, cutting, and forming in sequence. Traditional fabrication methods and shop environment caused low level to productivity in medium and small sized shipyards. The most effective solution to solve those problems is to rationalize the layout of facilities. For the well-balanced development of domestic shipbuilding industry, it is urgently required to reduce the gap between modernized large sized shipyards and traditional small and medium sized shipyards in production technologies and efficiencies. For the efficient and accurate hull piece forming, all information from design to forming should be clarified and organized in a systematic manner. Thus, management of the information plays an important role in the computerized and automated of hull piece forming. The object of this paper is to survey the status of the field, to find out the feasibility and to introduce a draft of hull piece fabrication line for small and medium sized shipyards. The development of required system follows the object oriented technology to extend to simulation based system for carrying out physical product flow and facilities layout analysis. It is feasible to operate such a modernized facility for a group of small and medium shipyards who are unable to have each of their own facility because of its large amount of initial investment and insufficient work load.

In this paper, design concepts of crew's living quarter are investigated based upon the questionnaire survey and the respondents who have been experienced going on board . Also, some improvements for interior design of the merchant ship are presented.

        In this paper, important parameters of fast catamaran hull form are investigated. Praticularly, length-displacement ratio, demihull spacing, trim and hull form on resistance performance are analyzed. Also, the usefulness of SHIPFLOW program for hull form development is studied. The computed results by using SHIPFLOW program are compared with experimental results in model test.

        The Internation Maritime Organization (IMO) has required that ships other than cellular-ships which carry cargo units and other entities should be provided with a cargo securing manual. A number of serious accidents has resulted from improper stowage and insufficient securing of heavy cargo. The cargo claims caused by the accidents stated above not only reduce the number of shippers but also reduce their benefits. The following four basic safe items should be considered carefully in the carriage by sea in case of two tiers loading of heavy cargoes packed with wooden case if it is a general cargo ship. a) Safe stowing place b) Safe lashing c) Protecting crushing goods d) Adequate dunnage. All operators of cargoes must be reminded that only the proper stowge and securing of heavy cargos can prevent from the occurrence of such accidents in the future. This paper intends to analyze the unigue damage mechanism for two tiers loading of heavy cargoes on the general cargo ships encountered in the rough sea, and suggest the countermeusere to prevent the identical accidents in the future.

        The effect of the submerged high speed vessel on the ocean wave is made clear in the point of hydrodynamics view. In connection to the design of high speed ship, the flow analysis is carried out to predict the pressure distribution for drag and lift. The purpose of the research is to help the preliminary design of the economic hull form advancing under the ocean wave by estimating the resistance performance and the wave behaviour. In the present study, more efficient numerical approaches are investigated for the viscous flow analysis around a submerged NACA0012 hydrofoil with the laminar and incompressible fluid. Through the numerical simulation, it is found that the new numerical method becomes more efficient primarily due to the fact that the wave elevation is reasonably developed.

        This paper presents the numerical analysis results of the viscous flow for a full ship model. The mass and momentum conservation equations are used for governing equations, and the flow field is discretized by the Finite-Volume Method for the numerical calculation. An algebraic grid and elliptic grid generation techniques are adopted for generation of the body-fitted coordinates system, which is suitable to ship's hull forms. Time-marching procedure is used to solve the three-dimensional unsteady problem, where the convection terms are approximated by the QUICK scheme and the 2nd-order central differencing scheme is used for other spatial derivatives. A Sub-Grid Scale turbulence model is used to approximate the turbulence, and the wall function is used at the body surface. Pressure and velocity fields are calculated by the simultaneous iteration method. Numerical calculations were accomplished for the Crude Oil Tanker(DWT 95,000tons, Cb=0.805) model. Calculation results are compared to the experimental results and show good agreements.
