본 연구는 간호대학생의 공감능력과 의사소통능력이 대학생활적응에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상자는 G시의 2개 대학의 간호학과 학생 177명을 대상으로 하였으며, 자료수집은 2023년 5월부터 6월까지 실시하였다. 분석방법은 SPSS/WIN 25.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였으며, one way ANOVA, 피어슨 상관관계, 다중회귀분석으로 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과, 대상자의 공감능력은 평균 2.49(SD=0.54)점, 의사소통능력3.24(SD=0.67)점, 그리고 대학생활적응은 3.83(SD=0.55)점으로 나타났다. 대학생활적응은 공감능력(r= .348, p< .001)과 의사소통능력(r= .351, p< .001) 간의 통계적으로 유의한 상 관관계가 있었다. 연구대상자의 대학생활적응에 영향을 미치는 요인은 공감능력(β= .240, p= .002)과 의 사소통능력(β= .246, p= .002)으로 나타났으며, 이는 대학생활적응을 약 16.0% 설명하였다. 본 연구결과 를 바탕으로 간호대학생의 공감능력과 원활한 의사소통능력을 위해 교과과정 및 비교과 프로그램을 개발 하고 이를 효율적으로 활용할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 것이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
화학 반응의 수율 향상을 위해 부산물을 제거하는 다양한 방법이 연구되고 있다. 특히 산업적으로 중요한 반응에 서 주로 부산물로 물이 생성되기 때문에 넓은 범위의 온도에서 안정적으로 물을 분리하는 기술이 필요하다. 흡수제의 사용, 탈수 반응의 도입 등 다양한 방법이 제안되었으나 추가적인 에너지 및 시간 소요, 전환율의 지속 가능성 등의 문제로 한계를 가지고 있다. 그에 반해 운전 및 설치가 용이하고, 낮은 유지비용 등의 장점을 가지고 있는 분리막 기술은 다양한 촉매 반응 에 도입되었을 때 안정적으로 부산물을 제거할 수 있어 반응의 효율을 향상시킬 수 있는 좋은 방안이다. 따라서 본 총설에서 는 분리막을 이용한 부산물 제거 및 이를 통한 효과에 대해 논의하였다.
본 연구의 목적은 시뮬레이션 실습 교육에서 임상수행능력에 대한 명확한 개념의 속성을 규명 하고 이를 조직화하여 임상수행능력에 대한 이론적 근거를 마련하기 위해 시도되었다. 연구 방법으로는 Walker And Avant의 개념분석 방법을 사용하였다. KISS, KMbase, DBpia, RISS, PubMed, CINAHL, Medline의 데이터베이스에서 보건의료인 교육을 위한 시뮬레이션 교육이 권고된 시점인 2000년부터 2023 년 4월까지 보고된 논문을 수집하였다. 연구 결과 임상수행능력의 속성은 (1) 지식, 판단, 기술의 종합적인 능력, (2) 의료 환경 변화에 능숙히 대처하는 능력, (3) 간호 대상자의 요구에 적절하게 대응하여 간호 역할 을 수행하는 능력이다. 본 연구는 시뮬레이션 실습 교육에서 임상수행능력에 대한 연구가 활발한 상황에서 간호학적 관점의 중요성을 인식하고, 개념분석을 한 연구로서 의의가 있다. 본 연구에서 나타난 시뮬레이 션 실습 교육에서 임상수행능력 속성을 포함한 훈련 프로그램 및 도구를 개발하고 이를 활용하여 프로그램 의 효과를 측정하는 것이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
Purpose: This study was conducted to understand the ethical climate, nursing practice environment, and ethical sensitivity of hospital nurses, and to investigate the influence of the ethical environment and nursing practice environment on ethical sensitivity. Methods: The subjects of the study were 137 nurses with at least one year of work experience. Date collection was conducted from July to August 2021, using the IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 for Windows program(IBM Corp. Armont, NY, USA), the frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation and Independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation, Multiple regression analysis. Results: As a result of the study, the ethical sensitivity of hospital nurses showed statistically significant differences according to age, marital status, position, and ethical educational experience. Ethical sensitivity was found to have a significant positive correlation between all sub-factors of the ethical environment and all sub-factors of the nursing practice environment. Among the sub-factors of the ethical environment, the factor influencing ethical sensitivity in this study is ‘relationship with peers (β=.20, p=.034) ’ and ‘relationship with manager (β=.24, p=.023) and the explanatory power was 42.0%, which was statistically significant (F=8.26, p<.001). Conclusion: This study confirmed that ‘relationship with peers’ and ‘relationship with managers’ influence ethical sensitivity among ethical environments. Therefore, it will be necessary to form a positive relationship between peers and managers to improve the ethical sensitivity of hospital nurses.
This study presents the primary outcomes of the neurological and emotional responses to inhalation and foot baths using the clary sage aroma. Clary sage inhalation produced varying effects on EEG (electroencephalography) depending on the concentration used, inactivating and waves while activating waves, γ waves, RSMR, SEF50 and SEF90. Inhalation is more effective at enhancing individual performance and focus than promoting relaxation. The clary sage foot bath activated waves and RSMR, while inactivating waves, γ waves, SEF50, and SEF90. The foot bath approach has a calming impact on the mind and body, as well as reducing arousal and stress. While the advantages of clary sage inhalation and foot bath therapy are distinct, both involve the activation of RSMR, which enhances focus at work and aids in the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders. Although the emotional features of clary sage oil vary according to the dose used for inhalation, it was typically assessed as a feminine and refreshing aroma, and the clary sage foot bath was evaluated as a pleasant, invigorating, refreshing, feminine, soft, and calming fragrance. When clary sage was used in the foot bath therapy, it evoked a stronger emotional response than when it was inhaled. These findings suggest that a clary sage foot bath can be used to enhance work-related focus while also relaxing the body by activating waves and inactivating SEF50 and SEF90.
Decommissioning of Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) projects in South Korea starts with permanent shutdown of Kori unit 1 and Wolsung unit 1. It is important to establish a treatment and disposal method for radioactive waste generated during the decommissioning of the nuclear power plants. Large quantities of the wastes during decommissioning of NPP are generated in a short period of time and the wastes have various types and characteristics. For efficient decommissioning of NPP process, the radioactive waste is classified by types and each treatment method and packaging concept is presented respectively in this paper. Radioactive waste generated during decommissioning of NPP is classified into reactor vessel, reactor internals, metals, Dry Active Waste (DAW), concreate, spent fuel storage rack, spent resin and spent filter, etc., and the packaging concept for each type should be established to meet the waste acceptance criteria. Major waste acceptance criteria requirements include nuclides concentration, filling rate, free water, surface radiation does rate and weight. Radioactive waste containers can be classified into packaging containers, transport containers, and disposal containers. The packaging container is used to contain, transport, and store radioactive waste within the radiation control area, and a control number has been assigned as a radioactive waste drum after the final treatment has been completed. The transport container is used for transporting radioactive waste filled-containers from a radiation control area through an uncontrolled area. In this paper, the concept of disposal of dismantled radioactive waste and packaging methods were reviewed in comprehensive consideration of domestic radioactive waste transport and storage regulations, permanent disposal environment, and development status of large containers.
This study compares and analyzes changes in users’ perceptions of industrial catering food service quality before and after COVID-19. The survey enrolled 226 subjects at five industrial catering establishments in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province; a total of 204 customers with complete data were included in the final analysis. Factor analysis was conducted to verify convergence validity and construct reliability; results pertaining to ‘service and environmental hygiene’ and ‘quality of food’ were extracted. Among the general variables of food service quality, differences were obtained in the user’s perceptions of food service qualities according to gender, education, and marital status. Our results revealed that women, low education, and married people perceived significant differences in all attributes before and after COVID-19. Additionally, varied altered perceptions were determined for service quality according to the occupations of the subjects. However, no differences were obtained for pleasant dining environment in the ‘service and environmental hygiene factor’ and variety of desserts in the ‘food quality factor’.
본 연구는 간호대학생의 평가염려 완벽주의, 속박감 및 우울 정도를 파악하고, 우울에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하고자 시행된 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상자는 G시 2개의 간호학과에 재학 중인 학생을 대상으로 하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 기술적 통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson 상관계수, 다중회귀분 석으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 간호대학생의 우울에 미치는 영향요인은 외적속박감(β=.414, p<.001), 사회 부과적 완벽주의(β=.174, p<.001)였고, 대상자의 우울정도를 24.9%를 설명하였다. 특히 외적속박감이 22.7%로 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 본 연구결과를 토대로 간호대학생의 우울감을 낮 추고 조기 예방하기 위해 우울을 관리할 수 있는 외적속박감, 사회부과적 완벽주의을 감소시킬 수 있는 다 양한 비교과 프로그램을 개발하여 지속적인 관심을 두고 관리할 필요가 있다.
본 연구는 코로나19를 경험한 간호대학생의 학업 스트레스, 대인관계 및 대학생활적응 정도를 파악하고, 대학생활적응에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하고자 시행된 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상자는 G 시 3개의 간호학과에 재학 중인 2학년 학생을 대상으로 하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 기술적 통계, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson 상관계수, 다중회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 학업 스트레스와 대학생활적응은 유 의한 음의 상관관계(r=-.584, p<.001), 대인관계와 대학생활적응은 유의한 양의 상관관계(r=.505, p<.001) 을 나타냈다. 대학생활적응에 영향요인을 확인하기 위한 회귀모형은 유의한 것으로 나타났다(F=64.462 p<.001). 학업 스트레스(β=-.542, p<.001), 대인관계(β=.339, p<.001), 주거형태(β=.199, p<.001)가 유 의한 예측요인으로 나타났고 이들 변수의 설명력은 54.6%이었다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 대학생활적응을 위 해 학업 스트레스 감소와 긍정적이고 원활한 대인관계 향상, 정서적 지지 관계 향상을 위한 교육프로그램 개발의 기초자료를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.
Umami taste-yielding foods, such as, Joseonganjang, dried anchovies, dried shiitake, dried Konbu (kelp), and Yukjeot, are widely used in the Korean cuisine as soup base. While Umami taste enhancement related to Kokumi taste substances has been proposed in human sensory studies, the potential action of Kokumi taste substances has not been explored on calcium-sensing receptors (CaSR), here referred to as Kokumi taste receptors. In this study, we investigated the effect of Umami taste-yielding foods on Kokumi taste receptors using cells expressing human CaSR. We monitored the temporal changes in intracellular Ca2+ in HEK293T cells expressing CaSR in response to aqueous extract of Joseonganjang, dried anchovies, dried shiitake, dried Konbu, and Yukjeot. Kokumi substances tested-glutathione and γ-Glu-Val-Gly- evoked intracellular Ca2+ influx in a concentration-dependent manner. A similar increment of intracellular Ca2+ influx was induced by Joseonganjang, Yukjeot, and dried anchovies, but not by dried shiitake and dried Konbu. Only Joseonganjang- and Yukjeot-evoked intracellular Ca2+ influx was significantly reduced by NPS 2143, a CaSR-specific antagonist. These data indicated that some Umami substances/Umami-yielding materials could activate CaSR, but this property was not observed for all the Umami tasting substances.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between dietary macronutrient intakes and prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MetS) in Korean adults. Data were obtained from the Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2013-2017), and a total of 11,600 Korean adults (4,918 men, 6,682 women) aged 50 years and older were analyzed. The daily intakes and percentages of energy from carbohydrates or fat in men or women with MetS were significantly lower than in normal subjects, respectively. High carbohydrate or fat percentages were negatively associated with MetS based on adjusted odds ratios (OR) of 0.804 in men (p=0.034) and 0.820 in women (p=0.045), respectively. A high percentage of energy from carbohydrates was positively associated with reduced waist circumference, diastolic blood pressure, triglyceride and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol in men. On the other hand, a high percentage of energy from fat was positively related with elevated HDL cholesterol and reduced triglycerides in women. In conclusion, our study indicates that high carbohydrate or fat intake is associated with risk of MetS in Korean men or women aged 50 years and older, respectively. Further prospective studies are necessary to elucidate the association between macronutrient intakes and MetS among Korean adults according to age.
The Jeju Black Cattle (JBC) are a type of traditional Korean native cattle with a characteristic black fur that covers the entire body. Semen analysis is the most commonly used procedure to evaluate male fertility potential. This study was to evaluate the quality of 10 JBC bulls belonging to Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Promotion Institute. [JBC A∼J grade]. The freezing medium (20% egg yolk plus 20% triladyl) was added in semen sample to a final concentration of 100×106 sperm/ml. For sperm cooling, diluted semen was filled in 0.5 ml plastic straws and then kept in refrigerator at 4°C for 2 h. They were placed in 7 cm over liquid nitrogen (LN2) vapor for 10 min and then directly plunged into LN2 for storage. Thawing was done by transferring the frozen straws into water bath at 37°C for 30 sec for analysis. The sperm motility, vitality and morphology in each group was assessed using the Sperm Analysis Imaging System (SAIS Plus; Medical Supply Co, Ltd., Korea), eosin-nigrosin stain and diff-quik kit. There was no difference in the motility of the fresh groups (87.4 ~ 100%), while it was difference in the frozen-thawed groups (42.8 ~ 98.6%) (p<0.05). The best motility was shown in JBC-B (100/fresh and 98.6%/frozen-thawed). There was significant difference in the vitality of the fresh group (19.8 ~ 59.2%) and frozen-thawed group (21.2 ~ 49.8%)(p<0.05). The highest vitality was also shown in JBC-B (59.2/fresh and 49.8%/frozen-thawed). Morphologically, in fresh semen the highest normal ratio was indicated in JBC-E (90.9%) and in frozen-thawed group the highest was in JBC-C (90.2%). These results demonstrated that the analysis including motility, vitality and morphology of fresh or frozen-thawed semen is valuable to select the high quality sperm using for reproduction.
Light Mineral Oil is a material generally used as an overlay covering microdrops of culture medium in petri dishes. Although Light Mineral Oil can protect the damage by oxidation in air, it can't completely protect the damage by evaporation and alteration of pH and osmolality in culture medium. To minimize the damage by evaporation and alteration of pH and osmolality, we assumed that Heavy Mineral Oil could be used as an alternative. Heavy Mineral Oil is high purity paraffin oil which has more viscosity and density than Light Mineral Oil, so it can prevent evaporation and maintain stable osmolality and pH in culture medium more than Light Mineral Oil. The objective of this study was to examine whether the effect of Heavy Mineral Oil is superior to the effect of Light Mineral Oil during in vitro cultivation of porcine oocytes. According to the data of repeated six experiments, survival and cleavage rate of porcine oocytes, and cell number of blastocysts were not significantly different between two groups. However, the in vitro development rate of porcine parthenogenetic embryo was significantly higher in Heavy Mineral Oil group than in Light Mineral Oil group (Light, 36.6% ± 3.9%; and Heavy, 52.1% ± 6.4%, p < 0.05). Thus, these results indicated that the treatment of Heavy Mineral Oil can improve the in vitro developmental capacity of porcine parthenogenetic embryos compared to Light Mineral Oil.
Although there are several methods for establishment of stem cell line, most of them has critical limit such as, ethical problem and infectious concern. Accordingly, we investigated the cell fusion technique as a new tool to establish a stem cell line. We cultured mouse embryonic stem cell (ESC) and somatic cells. Then, these two type cells were fused by electro cell fusion that consist of three steps (AC→DC→AC). The fused cells were individually transferred into a 96-well plate and cultured in ESC culture medium for 6 ~ 7 days. Newly formed colonies were evaluated several analysis methods like morphology, alkaline phosphatase (AP) activities, expression of pluripotency marker genes and proteins, and karyotyping. The fusion efficiency from the ESC and somatic cell into colony formation was about 0.3 ~ 0.5 %. The electro cell fused (EF) new stem cell colonies (EF-SC1 ~ 4) were indicated normally round-shape morphology similarly to ESC colonies and each colonies were expressed green fluorescent protein that having somatic cells. Also, all EF-SC groups were highly expressed AP activity and pluripotency marker proteins, POU5f1, NANOG, SOX-2 and SSEA-1. In the transcription levels, all EF-SC groups were significantly higher level of expression in Pou5f1 and Nanog compared to donor cells (ESC and somatic cell) (p<0.05). In particular, the level of Pou5f1 expression was about 2-folds higher in EF-SC2 and EF-SC3 groups than in control and EF-SC1 groups (p<0.05). Also, the level of Nanog expression was very significantly higher in EF-SC2 group (3.5-folds) compared to control ESC group, and the expression levels among treatment groups were variable (ESC<EF-SC1<EF-SC4<EF-SC3<EF-SC2, p<0.05). In karyotype analysis, the results of EF-SC2 and EF-SC3 were presented the same that of ESC, while that of EF-SC1 and EF-SC4 shown aneuploid mutation in chromosome 8. Taken together, these results demonstrate that electro cell fusion technique can be used as a new method to establish of stem cell lines.
Preimplantation embryonic production in vitro is important in human assisted reproductive technology and animal embryo engineering. Icariin (ICA) is one type of flavonoids and a main component isolated from the stem leaf of Epimedium brevicornum. Flavonoids, which are among the best well-studied natural antioxidants, have been demonstrated to be active in clearing reactive oxygen species (ROS). The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of ICA treatment during porcine oocyte in vitro aging and their in vitro developmental competency after parthenogenetic activation (PA). Porcine oocytes were matured in vitro for 44 h (control) and for an additional 24 h in the presence of 0, 5 μM ICA (aging, ICA-5), respectively. This study investigated the effects of ICA on nuclear maturation, ROS level, apoptosis index, and the developmental capacity of aged porcine oocytes. Oocyte survival was not different in aging group compared to control or ICA-5 group. The increased ROS level during in vitro aging was prevented in ICA-5 group, while GSH level was not decreased. The decrease of normal spindle formation during in vitro aging was prevented in ICA-5 group. After PA, although the cleavage rate was not different among treatment groups, the blastocyst formation was significantly higher in control and ICA-5 group than in aging group. However, there was significantly difference in the apoptotic index of the ICA-5 group, while it was no difference in the total cell number of the ICA-5 group. (p<0.05). Therefore, this result demonstrated that the ICA is an effective agent to prevent the deterioration during in vitro aging of porcine oocytes.
The citrus flavonoid hesperetin has various pharmacological actions, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer activities. The purpose of this study is to confirm whether the treatment of hesperetin can protect the oocyte from in vitro aging. Porcine oocytes were matured in vitro for 44 h (control) and for an additional 24 h in the presence of 0, 1, 10, 100, and 250 μM hesperetin (aging, H-1, H-10, H-100 and H-250, respectively). This study investigated the effect of different concentration of hesperetin on maturation, and reactive oxygen species (ROS) level, apoptosis index, and the developmental capacity of aging porcine oocytes. In the results, the percentage of cleaved oocytes that reached to the blastocyst stage of H-100 group (37.9 ± 1.1%) was similar to control (38.1 ± 0.8%), and also significantly higher than other aging groups (23.2 ± 0.8%; H-1, 19.7 ± 1.3%; H-10, 26.7 ± 0.6%; and H-250, 18.4 ± 1.6%.)(p<0.05). The H-100 group was significantly decreased ROS activity, and increased the level of glutathione (GSH) and expression of the antioxidant genes (PRDX5, NFE2L, SOD1 and SOD2) compared to the aging group. The H-100 groups prevented aberrant spindle organization and chromosomal misalignment, blocked the decrease in the level of phosphorylated-p44/42 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), and increased the mRNA expression of cytoplasmic maturation factor genes (GDF9, CCNB1, BMP15 and MOS). Also, it was confirmed that the H-100 group expressed higher level of estrogen receptor than the aging group. Therefore, this result indicated that hesperetin is an effective agent to protect from the oxidative stress during in vitro aging of porcine oocytes.
The national natural monument of Korea, Jeju Black Cattle (JBC), it is a native species with unique blood line. This cattle breed needs mass production and industrialization to further improve and preserve their characteristics. This study was to examine whether there were differences in in vitro developmental rates according to body weight (<300, 300 ~ 350, 350 ~ 400 and >400 kg) and grade (1++, 1+, 1, 2 and 3), and oocyte donors or non-donors. As a method of IVM, groups of ten cumulus oocyte complexes (COCs) were cultured in 50 μl droplets of maturation medium (TCM199 supplemented with 10% FBS, 0.2 mM sodium pyruvate, 1 μg/ml follicle-stimulating hormone, 1 μg/ml estradiol-17β) under mineral oil at 38.8℃ in an incubator with a 5% CO2 atmosphere for 22 to 24 h. For IVF, 44 ul IVF drop contained 10 oocytes with sperm concentration of 1 × 106 cells/ml, and then 2 μl heparin and 2 μl PHE (20 μM peicillamine, 10 μM hypotaurine, 2 μM epinephrine) were added. For IVC, after 44±2 h of incubation, cleaved embryos were incubated in CR1aa medium containing 3 mg/ml FAF-BSA until day 4 at 38.8℃ in a 5% CO2 incubator. Embryos were then cultured in CR1aa medium containing 10% FBS until day 8. As a result, in vitro development rates were the highest in 350 ~ 400 kg body weight group and in 1++ grade group than other groups (p<0.05). However, there was no difference in in vitro developmental capacity of classified donor and non-donor oocyte groups. This result demonstrated that the better in vitro developmental capacity was obtained in high level originated oocyte groups (350 ~ 400kg, 1++ grade) than in others, while there was no different in donor types.
