The Spectro-Photometer for the History of the Universe, Epoch of Reionization and Ices Explorer (SPHEREx) will provide all-sky spectral survey data covering optical to mid-infrared wavelengths with a spatial resolution of 6.′′2, which can be widely used to study galaxy formation and evolution. We investigate the galaxy-galaxy blending in SPHEREx datasets using the mock galaxy catalogs generated from cosmological simulations and observational data. Only ∼0.7% of the galaxies will be blended with other galaxies in all-sky survey data with a limiting magnitude of 19 AB mag. However, the fraction of blended galaxies dramatically increases to ∼7–9% in the deep survey area around the ecliptic poles, where the depth reaches ∼22 AB mag. We examine the impact of the blending in the number count and luminosity function analyses using the SPHEREx data. We find that the number count can be overestimated by up to 10–20% in the deep regions due to the flux boosting, suggesting that the impact of galaxy-galaxy blending on the number count is moderate. However, galaxy-galaxy blending can marginally change the luminosity function by up to 50% over a wide range of redshifts. As we only employ the magnitude limit at Ks-band for the source detection, the blending fractions determined in this study should be regarded as lower limits.

췌장 가성동맥류는 췌장염이나 췌장 수술과 연관되어 종종 생명을 위협하는 합병증으로 알려져 있다. 췌장 가성동맥류가 파열되면 치명적인 출혈을 유발할 수 있으며 높은 사망률과 관련이 있기 때문에 임상적 의심과 조기 진단이 환자의 임상 경과를 호전되게 할 수 있는 중요한 역할을 한다. 가성동맥류의 치료법 중 하나로 알려진 색전술은 효과적일 수 있으나, 췌장염과 관련된 가성동맥류 파열 환자의 색전술 치료 결과에 대한 국내 연구는 적다. 이에 췌장염으로 인한 가성동맥류 파열을 진단받고 색전술로 성공적으로 치료받은 환자들에 대한 증례를 보고한다.

콩 종실에는 레시틴, 아이소플라본, 사포닌, 루테인, 안토시아닌 및 플라보노이드와 같은 생리활성 성분과 약 40%의 단백질이 들어 있어 최근 식물성 대체 단백질의 주요 재료로 이용성이 점차 증가되고 있다. 그러나 lipoxygenase, Kunitz Trypsin Inhibitor (KTI), lectin, 7Sα′subunit 단백질 및 stachyose와 같은 알레르기를 유발시키고 품질 및 기능성을 저하시키는 성분들도 존재한다. 본 연구는 갈색 종피와 penta null 유전자형 (lox1lox2lox3tilecgy1rs2)을 가져 성숙 종실에서 lipoxygenase, KTI, lectin 및 7Sα′subunit의 4가지 단백질이 모두 없으면서 stachyose의 함량이 매우 낮은 콩 계통을 육성하기 위하여 진행되었다. 5개의 자원을 이용하여 창성된 육종집단으로부터 갈색 종피와 penta null 유전자형을 가진 6개의 F2 종자가 선발되었다. 농업형질이 양호한 계통을 선발하여 F7 계통에서 lipoxygenase, KTI, lectin 및 7Sα' subunit의 4가지 단백질에 대한 부재를 확인하였다. 선발계통은 갈색종피와 자주색 꽃 및 유한신육형이며 배꼽색은 흰색이고 성숙 자엽색은 노란색이었다. 선발계통의 경장은 68cm 정도이며 백립중은 29.2g으로 대립이었고 stachyose의 함량은 3.8g/kg으로 매우 낮았으며 수량은 2.75ton/ha 정도였다. 선발된 계통은 성숙 콩 종실에서 콩 가공적성과 품질 및 기능성을 저하시키는 lipoxygenase, KTI, lectin 및 7Sα′subunit의 4가지 단백질이 모두 없으면서 난소화성 당으로 알려진 stachyose의 함량이 매우 낮은 유색콩 품종 및 중간모본으로 이용될 수 있을 것으로 사료되었다.

Prior literature expects a lower marginal cash value for weaker governance firms. We test this empirical hypothesis by using the sample of publicly traded Korean firms from 2005 to 2013. To measure the quality of governance structures, we employ the corporate governance scores provided by Korean Corporate Governance Services. The empirical model of Faulkender and Wang (2006) is adopted to estimate the marginal value of cash. Our empirical analysis shows a higher marginal value of cash for the good governance firms in the examination of the total governance score. This finding is consistent to the agency view of cash policy predicting a larger marginal value of cash for the firms with higher governance scores. However, this positive relationship is not robust for a subset of detailed governance scores; a lower marginal cash value is observed for the firms with better qualities of board structure, auditing, dividend policies. Moreover, our empirical analysis verifies a quite low level of marginal cash value for Korean firms, which supports the existence of severe agency conflicts in Korean corporations. Our results verify the significant role of agency conflicts between a manager and shareholders in the determination of marginal cash values in the Korean firms.
