Honey bees are crucial pollinators for agricultural and natural ecosystems, but are experiencing heavy mortality in Korea due to a complex suite of factors. Extreme winter losses of honey bee colonies are a major threat to beekeeping but the combinations of factors underlying colony loss remain debatable. Finding solutions involves knowing the factors associated with high loss rates. To investigate whether loss rates are related to Varroa control and climate condition, we surveyed beekeepers in korea after wintering (2021–2022 to 2022–2023). The results show an average colony loss rate of 46%(2022) and 17%(2023), but over 40% colony loss before wintering at 2022. Beekeepers attempt to manage their honey bee colonies in ways that optimize colony health. Disentangling the impact of management from other variables affecting colony health is complicated by the diversity of practices used and difficulties handling typically complex and incomplete observational datasets. We propose a method to 1) Varroa mite population Control by several methods , and 2) Many nursing bee put in hive before wintering.

다양한 동물 모델이 인간 질병, 의약품의 효능 및 작용 메커니즘을 연구하는 데 사용되고 있다. Zebrafish(Danio rerio)는 여러 가지 장점이 있어 인간 질병에 대한 중개 연구의 모델로 점점 더 폭넓게 활용되고 있다. 본 논문은 Pubmed, Google Scholar, Scopus에서 2020년 12월까지 최근 10년간 zebrafish 모델, 천연물(한약), in vivo 스크리닝의 키워드를 사용하여 저널에 게재된 논문을 검토하여 필 요한 정보를 얻었다. 이 리뷰에서 우리는 천연물(한약) 연구에 대한 다양한 제브라피쉬 질병 모델의 최 근 경향에 대해 논의하였다. 특히, 암, 안질환, 혈관 질환, 당뇨병 및 합병증, 피부질환에 중점을 두었고, zebrafish 배아를 사용하여 이들 질병에 대한 의약품의 분자 작용 메커니즘에 관해 언급하였다. Zebrafish는 실험실에서 임상 연구까지의 격차를 줄이는 데 중추적 역할을 할 수 있는 중요한 동물 모 델이다. Zebrafish는 의약품이나 화장품 개발, 질병의 병인론을 이해하기 위해 사용되고, 이로 인해 생의 학 연구에서 설치류의 사용을 줄이는 데 크게 기여하고 있다.

Royal jelly (RJ) is a gelatinous substance that bees produce to feed bees and queen bees. It’s frequently sold as a dietary supplement to treat a variety of physical ailments and chronic diseases. While it has long been used in traditional medicine, its applications in Western medicine remain controversial. The inhibitory effect of royal jelly on osteoarthritis was investigated in primary cultured rat cartilage cells and monosodium-iodoacetate (MIA)-induced arthritis rat model 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-HAD) is the main fatty acid present in RJ. Among the criteria for RJ quality analysis, 10-HAD content has been proposed as a freshness parameter. We investigated the effect of RJ on the improvement of osteoarthritis on SD rats and they were divided into five groups. In this study, we examined the effect of enzymatic royal jelly (ERJ) administration on osteoarthritis. To determine the antiinflammatory effects of RJ, tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) and Interleukin-6 (IL-6) expression were measured after lipopolysaccharide (LPS) activation in RAW 264.7 cells. In in vivo animal study, osteoarthritis was induced by intra-articular injection of MIA into knee joints of rats. As a results, ERJ showed that TNF-α and IL-6 levels were decreased by ERJ treatment in a dosedependent manner. In conclusion, ERJ extract was able to inhibit articular cartilage degeneration by preventing extracellular matrix degradation and cartilage cell damage. It was considered that ERJ extract may be a potential therapeutic treatment for degenerative osteoarthritis.

Raphiolepis indica (R. indica) is one of evergreen shrubs belonging to the Rosaceae and is grown wildly in Jeju. This study was performed to evaluate the hepatoprotective effect of different fractions (n-hexane, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, butanol, water) from R. indica. Anti-oxidative effects were determined using 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) scavenging activity and total phenol contents. Hepatoprotective effect was identified by 3-[4, 5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay in Huh7 cells. Among various fractions, ethyl acetate and butanol fractions showed the lowest DPPH remained rate reaching approximately 78.7 and 65.5% at 400 μg/mL. Ethyl acetate and butanol fractions showed the total phenolic content at 164.5 and 137.3 mg GAE/g extract. The ethyl acetate and butanol fractions were resistant against oxidative stress in MTT assay and showed higher hepatoprotective effect than other fractions. Therefore, these results suggest that the ethyl acetate and butanol fractions of R. indica might have therapeutic value in liver damage.

In the retail environment where online-shopping malls are growing, offline store are find it difficult to survive simply by selling their products. As a result, offline retailers are trying to find unique services that are appealing to their customers. In such a market environment, marketing strategies that stimulate the five senses other than the sight can be an alternative. Therefore, this research is aimed at observing the effect of the senses on emotion and purchase intention in a fashion retail context. A two by two experimental design (existence vs non-existence of scent x existence vs. nonexistence of eating chocolate) between subjects was used. A total of 120 participants were randomly assigned to the four situations, and they were asked to complete the questionnaires about emotion and purchase intention. The survey data were statistically analyzed using SPSS 23.0, and results are as follows. After a two-way ANOVA, we observed a statistically significant effect of the scent service on pleasure and purchase intention the sweet offering service on purchase intention. Moreover, when scents service and sweet offering service were provided at the same time, the highest purchase intention was obtained among other services. In addition, we studied the effects of emotions on purchase intentions, and the pleasant emotions resulting from the services have a positive effect of on purchase intentions.

This study was conducted to evaluate the the efficacy of mulberry cake mixed diet on larval growth of Protaetia brevitarsis. As a result of adding 3, 5, and 10% mulberry cake to the fermented mulberry sawdust, the development period of the Protaetia brevitarsis larvae was 44.9days, 44.6days, and 41.8days, and the highest weight of larvae was 2.76g, 2.80g, and 2.89g, respectively. As a result of adding 3, 5, and 10% mulberry cake to the fermented oak sawdust, the development period of the Protaetia brevitarsis larvae was 46.7days, 41.6days, and 41.7days, and the highest weight of larvae was 2.65g, 2.65g, and 2.56g, respectively.
