        The (1-x)La0.7Sr0.3MnO3(LSMO)/xZnFe2O4(ZFO) (x = 0, 0.01, 0.03, 0.06 and 0.09) composites were prepared by a conventional solid-state reaction method. We investigated the structural properties, magnetic properties and electrical transport properties of (1-x)LSMO/xZFO composites using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), field-cooled dc magnetization and magnetoresistance (MR) measurements. The XRD and SEM results indicate that LSMO and ZFO coexist in the composites and the ZFO mostly segregates at the grain boundaries of LSMO, which agreed well with the results of the magnetic measurements. The resistivity of the samples increased by the increase of the ZFO doping level. A clear metal-to-insulator (M-I) transition was observed at 360K in pure LSMO. The introduction of ZFO further downshifted the transition temperature (350K-160K) while the transition disappeared in the sample (x = 0.09) and it presented insulating/semiconducting behavior in the measured temperature range (100K to 400K). The MR was measured in the presence of the 10kOe field. Compared with pure LSMO, the enhancement of low-field magnetoresistance (LFMR) was observed in the composites. It was clearly observed that the magnetoresistance effect of x = 0.03 was enhanced at room temperature range. These phenomena can be explained using the double-exchange (DE) mechanism, the grain boundary effect and the intrinsic transport properties together.

        丹斋(1880~1936)与鲁迅(1881~1936)是共处于19世纪末到20世纪前半叶这一剧变的近代转型期,在韩中两国为了开拓各自民族的生存血路而奋斗一生的文化巨人。丹斋在韩国使韩国近代史学诞生;鲁迅在中国使中国现代文学启动。他们各自以史学和文学作为自身不同本色,但盼望通过它们在自己民族的灵魂里能够引起时代要求的反传统哲学觉悟,在这一点上他们却没有两样。这或许是文、史、哲自由通往的东方文化传统影响了转型期知识分子否定传统的方式。 20世纪初叶韩国与中国共有着帝国主义侵略所引起的亡国灭种的危机意识,但由于殖民地和半殖民地这种韩中两国所处的当时现实条件的不同,似乎丹斋与鲁迅的思想面貌也呈现了各异的着重点。丹斋着重于克服1910年日本帝国主义强占所引起的殖民地现实,贯穿反帝国主义民族主义立场;鲁迅着重于克服1911年辛亥革命失败所证实的封建现实,坚持反封建主义启蒙主义面貌。这些可能是因为,丹斋认为阻碍韩国近代化进程的决定性障碍就是日本的殖民统治;鲁迅觉得引起中国半殖民地化处境的决定性因素即是祖国的封建现实。 中国民族对鲁迅的评估,一言而蔽之,为举办他的葬礼仪式时盖棺布上写着的“民族魂”三个字;韩国民族对丹斋的评价,则是心山金昌淑在哀悼他的死亡而写的一首诗中所称的“青邱的正气”可作为代表。这样他们在中韩两国各自被评为“民族魂”及“民族正气”,此一事实就证实了鲁迅与丹斋决不停留于单纯的优秀的文学家或史学家。他们将自己的一生奉献于民族灵魂的救济与民族正气的光复,直至目前仍然成为检讨民族现在与构思民族未来的思想资源,看来这简直是一种不可思议的奇迹。

        Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) and theaflavins (TF) are polyphenols included in green and black teas, respectively. Both green and black teas have been studied for their potential health benefits for cancer. Hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) has been implicated multiple physiological and pathophysiological pathways, particularly, oncogenesis. But, the molecular pathways that govern the cell response to EGCG are not fully elucidated. The present study investigated the intracellular mechanism in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) cells treated with EGCG, focusing on HIF-1 expression and its effect on epithelial phenotype. EGCG decreased phosphorylated Raf-1 protein in YD 8 OSCC cell, but B-raf protein was not affected at all by EGCG and TF. In addition, we here found that EGCG regulated HIF-1α expression independent of Raf-1 protein. Taken together with our previous result, the result imply that EGCG is attributed to the HIF-1α expression via Raf/MEK/ERK pathway, and the HIF-1α expression is associated with the change of epithelial phenotype in OSCC cell.

        This study was performed to comprehend the developmental characteristics of cloned embryos knocked out (KO) of α-1,3-galactosyltransferase (GalT) gene. Immature oocytes were collected and cultured for 40 hrs (1-step) or 20hrs (with hormone) + 20hrs (without hormone) (2-step). The embryos transferred with miniature pig ear fibroblast cell were used as control. The reconstructed embryos were cultured in PZM-3 with 5% CO2 in air at 38.5℃ for 6 days. To determine the quality of the blstocysts, TUNEL and quantitative realtime RT-PCR were performed. The embryos were transferred to a surrogate (Landrace) at an earlier stage of the estrus cycle. The maturation rate was significantly higher in 2-step method than that of 1-step (p<0.05). The blastocyst development of GalT KO embryos was significantly lower than that of normal cloned embryos (p<0.05). The total and apoptotic cell number of GalT KO blastocysts was not different statistically from control. The relative abundance of Bax-α/Bcl-xl ratio was significantly higher in both cloned blastocysts than that of in vivo blastocysts (p<0.05). Taken together, it can be postulated that the lower developmental potential and higher expression of apoptosis related genes in GalT KO SCNT embryos might be a cause of a low efficiency of GalT KO cloned miniature pig production.

        The electromagnetic wave absorption sheets were fabricated by mixing of nanocrystalline soft magnetic powder, charcoal powder and polymer based binder. The complex permittivity, complex permeability, and scattering parameter have been measured using a network analyzer in the frequency range of 10 MHz10 GHz. The results showed that complex permittivity of sheets was largely dependent on the frequency and the amount of charcoal powder : The permittivity was improved up to 100 MHz, however the value was decreased above 1 GHz. The power loss of electromagnetic wave absorption data showed almost the same tendency as the results of complex permittivity. However, the complex permeability was not largely affected by the frequency, and the values were decreased with the addition of charcoal powder. Based on the results, it can be summarized that the addition of charcoal powder was very effective to improve the EM wave absorption in the frequency range of 10 MHz1 GHz.

        Thermoelectric power and resistivity are measured for the perovskite LaNi1-xTixO3 (x≤0.5) in thetemperature range 77K−300K. The measured thermoelectric power of LaNi1-xTixO3 (x≤0.5) increases linearlywith temperature and is represented by A+BT. The x=0.1 sample showed metallic behavior, the x=0.3showed metal and insulating transition around 150K, and x=0.5 showed insulating behavior the over thewhole temperature range. The electrical resistivity of x=0.1 shows linear temperature dependence over thewhole temperature range and T2 dependence. On the other hand, the electrical resistivity of x=0.3 shows alinear relation between lnρ and T−1/4 (variable range hopping mechanism) in the range of 77K to 150K. Forx=0.5, the temperature dependence of resistivity is characteristic of insulating materials; the resistivity datawas fitted to an exponential law, such as ln(ρ/T) and T−1, which is usually attributed to a small polaronhopping mechanism. These experimental results are interpreted in terms of the spin polaron (x=0.1) andvariable range hopping (x=0.3) or small polaron hopping (x=0.5) of an almost localized Ni3+ 3d polaron.

        본 연구는 남녀 대학생을 대상으로 동일색조 코디네이션과 1:2:3면적비 변화에 따른 스트라이프 넥타이의 감성이미지와 상호작용효과를 알아보고자 한다. 이들 단서로 사용된 56개 자극물은 4가지 색조합, 2가지 색조, 7가지 면적비로 구성되었고, 감성이미지는 26개의 형용사쌍에 대해 7단계로 평가되었다. 조사대상자는 경남, 서울, 부산, 대구 등지에 거주하는 대학생 1344명의 피험자로 하였으며, 그 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 동일색조 코디네이션과 1:2:3면적비 변화에 따른 스트라이프 넥타이의 감성이미지를 요인분석한 결과 매력성, 젊음 활동성, 현시성, 능력성, 온유성의 5가지 차원으로 도출되었다. 색조합과 색조는 감성이미지의 모든 요인에서 독립적인 영향을 나타내었다. 또한 색조는 면적비와 상호작용하여 현시성과 능력성 요인에서 두드러진 단서로 작용하였다. 성별과 면적비는 젊음 활동성 요인에서, 성별과 색조는 온유성 요인에서, 색조합과 색조는 현시성과 온유성 요인에서 상호작용효과를 나타내었다. 이러한 연구결과는 남성 코디네이션을 위한 효과적인 기초자료로 활용될 것이다.

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the role of integrin α3 and integrin β1 in the ameloblastomas. For this study, 10 specimens diagnosed as amoblastomas referred to the Department of Oral Pathology, School of Dentistry, Kyung Hee University, and 5 specimens of normal oral mucosa without any inflammatory changes were used as experimental and control groups, respectively. The ameloblastomas devided into follicular type, plexiform type, acanthomatous type, and granular cell type. All specimens; experimental and control group were fixed in 10% neutral formalin solution and embedded in paraffin, and then the serial tissue sections were made 5㎛ in thickness and processed for immunohistochemical observation. The specimens were incubated with primary antibody against integrin α3 or integrin β1, each was diluted at 1 : 100, followed by the Supersensitive non-biotin horse radish peroxidase detection system with DAB as chromogen. After counterstaining with Gill's hematoxylin stain method and mounted, and examined under the light microscope. Based on the intensity of the immunoreactivity, intensity of the immunity was scored no epithelial stain, weak or focal epithelial stain, moderate or focal intensive epithelial stain, intense generalized epithelial staining for the epithelial, and connective tissue component in ameloblastomas, and normal oral mucosa on each. Attained results as follows. Expression of integrin α3 in the oral mucosa, weak reaction was noted on the all layers of epithelium, and submucosa. Expression of integrin β1 in the oral mucosa, intense reaction on the superficial layer, moderate reaction in basal layer were shown. Expression of integrin α3 in ameloblastomas, it was noted that weak reaction on the ameloblast like cells in the all types and rarely in basement membrane. Expression of integrin β1 in ameloblastomas, intense reaction on the tumor cell ,and partly in the nuclei in follicular type was noted, And moderate reaction on the tumor cell in plexiform , acathomatous types, but weak reaction in granular cell type was shown. This results result suggest that integrin α3 may influenced negligibly, but the integrin β1 influenced significantly the development of the ameloblastomas considering the response is increased on the region with highly cellular activities
