        This study aims to develop the information service system of integrated seakeeping performance for seagoing vessels. It has been successful in developing the intended system which has made possible to provide the following functions and capabilities: ⦁ immediate computation of the dynamic motions of a ship against the present and future weather conditions; ⦁ evaluation of the integrated seakeeping performance of a ship on a real time basis and providing the navigators with the seakeeping informations on the spot enabling them to take the most appropriate countermeasures; and ⦁ supporting the navigators in the selection of a safe sailing route by providing the integrateseakeeping performance.

        The information technology(IT) development of telecommunication, along with the information analyzation over the world, enables the firms to process their inner and outer operations through Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) system. And the concept of logistics has become more important to the enterprises in strategic sense because it had aggrandized itself to more comprehensive and integrative concept. Also the world shipping market is more competitive than any other market. In these environment, to maintain competitive power, shipping firms process operations by Logistics Information system(LIS), And then, reduce the working processes, working time and its costs. So the LIS has become more important in developing our national logistics system and industry. Therefore, this study purposes on empirically analyzing the activation factors of shipping LIS and the relationship these factors with logistic performances in the shipping industry. Considering environments of Shipping logistics information system, this study sets up the research model and hypothesis to examine the activation factors of shipping LIS and the relationship these factors with logistic performances. We used the field data on the 163 numbers of firms(29 overseas shipping companies and 133 forwarding Agency) to get the empirical evidence. According to the study results, The shipping LIS activation factors which the sample firms recognized as important: were top manager's support, well structured communication channel, strategic plan's connection and inner information analyzation level. And IS organization & human resources, IS discipline & training, software development, IS organizational alignment, database management system, information standardization, competitive advantage, financial support and government support represent partially significant. Also, the current shipping LIS's main problems are expensive system cost, standardization of working process's, institution's imperfection and system's interaction defect. So these problems must be improved to activate shipping LIS.

        본 연구에서는 2차원 동수역학적 수치해석모형을 개발하고, 한강하류부에 적용하였다. 과학적인 천수흐름 거동해석을 위해서 GIS에 기초한 등수역학모형을 구성하였으며, 개발된 모형의 검증을 위해서 모의수행에 의한 결과 값과 현장관측값과의 비교를 수행하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 수치해석 모형은 Petrol-Galerkin 유한요소법이다. 또한 GIS를 이용한 하천흐름해석기법을 관측 하였으며, 이는 다양한 해석을 통해 직접적으로 사용자의 결정에 도움을 주게 된다

        In this paper, we developed the Realtime Ship Position Information System and the software in relation to the system, which consists of the on-board system and the shore-based system. The on-board system is composed a GPS receiver, a computer, and a modem. The shore-based system is composed of a telephone, a modem and a computer. Both systems are operated by the data communication program The system displays automatically the ship's movement on the digital chart by using the ship's position acquired by a GPS receiver via INMARSAT-A communication system. The results presented in many experiments indicate that the system in processing the position data well during the transmission and reception.

        Recently, due to the several factors such as the advent of very large vessels and high-speed vessels, and the increase of the maritime traffic density at sea, the obligation, responsibility and burden of marine officers on duty for the safety of navigation has been highly escalated. Under these situations, if the appropriate and correct navigational information is given to officers at real time by means of certain integrated information processing system, these obligation, burden and danger can be reduced. This paper deals with the study on the development of the Navigational Information Monitoring and Recording System that can give and record the integrated navigational information based on the personal computer system installed on board. To construct this system, the interface unit which changes different signal types of navigational equipments to NMEA 0183 signal format and the application software to show the visual navigational information were developed. In this study, the navigation system of T/S HANBADA in Korea Maritime University was used in order to construct the actual system that can be utilized in other ships, and also the performance test was carried out several times to examine the performance of the system developed. It was proved that all functions of the system as designed worked smoothly through the performance test. Also this system could be operated easily and conveniently by every user.

        우물수원의 보호구역의 범위를 결정하기 위해서 GIS를 이용한 지하수 모의모형ㅇ과 Arc/Info의 Grid 함수를 이용하였다. GIS를 이용한 지하수 모형은 Arcview GIS를 사용하여 모형의 시간변화를 고려하고 자료의 입력 및 조작, 모의, 결과의 표시 등을 GIS내에 통합한 모형으로 개발하였다. 모형을 적용하기 위해 미국환경의 자료를 사용하였으며 적용시킨 결과 지하수 모형에서 계산된 수두 분포와 우물의 영향권을 계산한 값이 본 논문에서 계산한 값

        「Ministry Of Maritime Affairs And Fisheries」was established on 8 August 1996 by emerging ex-「Maritime and Port Administration」, 「Fisheries Administration」and some other marine-related organs such as 「Maritime Police Agency」, 「Marine Accident Inquiry Agency」, etc., for the purpose of enhancing development of national marine polices in various aspect and promoting marine safety and environmental protection activities. Therefore, the unification of marine casualty statistics is required for the need of appreciating present condition and problem. This paper shows the Client/Server computing system which could replace the existing Main Frame system set up by Maritime and Port Administration and Marine Accident Inquiry Agency. It also gives the way to connect every casualty related organ for data exchange of casualty information and INTERNET for opening casualty information to the public. So, applicable techniques and basic policy direction is dealt with.

        Since it is very important for an ocean-going vessel to transmit information quickly and accurately to her owner or charterer not only for the ship's safety but for economic operation of the ship, some newly-built automated vessels equipped with automatic information transmission system which consists of INMARSAT-C and specially-designed computer. This system, however, is not applicable to the existing vessel without chaging her equipments and, furthermore, is too expensive for small shipping companies to fit out such a system on their vessels. Therefore, we propose a low-priced information transmission system which consists of a personal computer and communication equipments in the existing vessel, and in this paper, as the groundwork of the proposed system, we have made up the ship's position transmission system which is composed of and IBM AT-compatible, PC, INMARSAT-A and a GPS receiver. As the test result of the system through sea trial on the training ship 'HANBADA', we confirmed that transmission of the ship's position was achieved succesfully and consequently there could be high possibility of cost-effectiveness of the proposed system
