        Purpose: The Acceptance Commitment Therapy(ACT) is a new treatment approach that focuses mindfulness, and it is classified as the third wave in the cognitive behavior therapy. Methods: The present study evaluated a 8-week's ACT program designed specifically for four female archers who had stress and chronic pain. In order to explore process of the ACT, the researcher utilized the qualitative case study methodology. Results: The results exhibited various experiences of participants within six components of ACT program: acceptance, defusion, self as context, focus on present, value, and commitment. Each participant described cognitive-behavioral changes through the ACT program. Conclusions: Overall, the participants reported their changes in terms of‘increasing in awareness', 'diminishing in pain and stress diminishing pain and stress', 'recognizing peer relationship', 'valued goal-setting', 'decreasing negative thought'. Finally, these results were discussed with theoretical and practical frameworks in mindfulness, and the suggestions were provided.

        Food waste, a putrescible form of waste, comprised of 30% of the total municipal solid waste stream in Daejeon Metropolitan City (DMC) in 2012. Proper management of food waste is a challenging task for local government. This study was conducted to determine material flows when treated food waste in various recycling facilities. Material flows in the recycling processes were collected by site surveys, field trips and discussion with operators and governmental employees. Material flow analysis (MFA) was conducted to quantify the flow of food waste from generation to disposal for the year 2012. MFA along with its mass transfer coefficients were determined based on the inputs, outputs and waste fluxes. According to the mass transfer coefficient results, treatment efficiency for the dry and wet feed manufacturing facility was found to be higher than other treatment facilities. Water consumption was higher for the composting site, resulting in large volume of wastewater (mass transfer coefficient 1.539). While large amounts of screening materials such as plastic, chopsticks, aluminum foils, and bottle caps were generated at the composting site, mass transfer coefficients (0.312) at the dry and wet feed facility were relatively high, implying effective treatment of food waste occurring. The results of this study help to facilitate waste management policy decision-makers in developing effective food waste management techniques in DMC.

        본 연구에서는 혼합사로 구성된 망상하천에서 사주의 변화와 하상토 분급현상을 실내실험을 통하여 파악하였다. 하상경사가 급한 하도에서 유사 유출량은 시간의 변화에 따라 매우 불규칙하지만, 경사가 완만한 하도에서 유사 유출량은 규칙적이고, 일정한 주기를 나타내었다. 또한 2중 퓨리에 해석을 통하여 지배적인 사주의 특성과 진폭을 분석하였다. 하상고가 상승하면 무차원 하상토 입경은 작아졌지만, 하상고가 저하되면 무차원 하상토 입경은 커졌다. 기층에서 무차원 한계소류력과 표층에서 무차원 한계 소류력의 비가 증가하면, 표층에서 평균입경과 무차원 하상토 중앙입경이 작아졌다. 또한 국부적으로 하상경사가 증가하면서, 유사의 선택적 이동에 의하여 하상토가 분급되고, 평면적으로 입경이 불균일하게 분포하는 분급 특성이 나타났다.

        토양온도는 비점오염과 관련된 수문학적 및 생지화학적 과정에 영향을 주는 중요한 물리적 환경인자 중 하나이다. 이 연구에서는 분포형 유역모델인 CAMEL(Chemicals, Agricultural Management and Erosion Losses)의 겨울철 토양온도 모의성능을 개선하기 위해서 융설과 토양 동결-융해 모델을 개발하였으며, 경기도 여주에 위치한 시험유역의 4개 지점에서 3개월 동안 관측한 토양온도 자료를 사용하여 모델을 보‧검정하였다. 모의 결과, 표층 토양온도에 대해서는 모델이 토양온도의 시계열 변화를 비교적 잘 재현하는 반면(R2 0.71~0.95, RMSE 0.89~1.49℃), 하부토양층 온도에 대해서는 경우에 따라 모델의 예측오차가 다소 크게 나타났는데(R2 0.51~0.97, RMSE 0.51~5.08℃), 이것은 모델에서 토양 깊이별 토성을 동일한 것으로 가정한 것이 주요 원인인 것으로 판단된다. 한편, 개발된 모델은 융설에 의한 단열효과와 토양 동결-융해 과정에서 유입 또는 방출되는 잠열흐름의 영향으로 토양온도의 진폭이 감소하는 현상을 잘 모의하고 있다. 비록 모델 구조의 한계와 자료의 부족으로 토양온도에 대한 다소의 예측오차가 발생하였지만, 개발된 토양온도 모델은 시험유역의 토지이용 및 지형에 따른 토양온도와 적설상당수량의 시공간적 분포를 합리적으로 잘 모의하는 것으로 사료된다.

        Purpose: The present study attempted to integrate emotional processes into the self-determination theory (Deci & Ryan, 2000) in order to substantially improve predictive power. More specifically, this study was to test the mediating roles of emotion (positive and negative) and self-regulated motivation (autonomous and controlled) in the relationship between social contextual factors (autonomy-supportive and controlling behavior) and engagement in physical education classes. Methods: A total of 603 middle school students (315 boys and 288 girls) participated in present study. The structural equation modelling (SEM) was employed to test a baseline model and the two extended models including emotion associated with motivation to engagement. Results: Results confirmed a substantial increase of 13% and 15% in explained variance of engagement for the two the extended model, respectively. Positive emotion significantly mediated the motivation-engagement behaviour relationship, and autonomous motivation also positively moderated the emotion-engagement behavior relationship. The results of the SEM invariance test across the group indicated the significant group differences in direct and indirect paths. Conclusion: These results suggest that emotionally based motivation interventions aimed at increasing engagement in physical education classes may be helpful.

        We developed a stochastic model that captures long term nonstationary oscillations (NSOs) within a given variable. The model employs a data-adaptive decomposition method named empirical mode decomposition (EMD). Irregular oscillatory processes in a given variable can be extracted into a finite number of intrinsic mode functions with the EMD approach. A unique data-adaptive algorithm is proposed in the present paper in order to study the future evolution of the NSO components extracted from EMD. To evaluate the model performance, the model is tested with the synthetic data set from Rossler attractor and with global surface temperature anomalies (GSTA) data. The results of the attractor show that the proposed approach provides a good characterization of the NSOs. For GSTA data, the last 30 observations are truncated and compared to the generated data. Then the model is used to predict the evolution of GSTA data over the next 50 years. The results of the case study confirm the power of the EMD approach and the proposed NSO resampling (NSOR) method as well as their potential for the study of climate variables.

        Reproducing nonstationary oscillation (NSO) processes in a stochastic time series model is a difficult task because of the complexity of the nonstationary behaviors. In the current study, a novel stochastic simulation technique that reproduces the NSO processes embedded in hydroclimatic data series is presented. The proposed model reproduces NSO processes by utilizing empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and nonparametric simulation techniques (i.e., k-nearestneighbor resampling and block bootstrapping). The model was first tested with synthetic data sets from trigonometric functions and the Rossler system. The North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) index was then examined as a real case study. This NAO index was then employed as an exogenous variable for the stochastic simulation of streamflows at the Romaine River in the province of Quebec, Canada. The results of the application to the synthetic data sets and the real-world case studies indicate that the proposed model preserves well the NSO processes along with the key statistical characteristics of the observations. It was concluded that the proposed model possesses a reasonable simulation capacity and a high potential as a stochastic model, especially for hydroclimatic data sets that embed NSO processes.

        하천에서의 골재채취 및 하도준설은 하상교란에 의한 조도계수와 준설지점 상하류의 흐름특성 변화를 발생시키며, 이로 인한 하천 준설지점 상류방향으로 급격한 침식, 지류 하상고를 저하시키는 등 하도 안정성과 취입보, 교량 등 수리구조물의 안정성 등의 문제가 초래된다. 또한 국내 하천은 하상계수가 크고 홍수시 부유사 이송이 실질적인 하상변화의 대부분을 차지하는 특징을 가지고 있으므로 이에 대한 후속 연구가 필요한 상황이다. 최근 국내에서도 하도내 소류사 이송에 따른 준설웅덩이 적응과정에 대한 실내시험과 수치모의 연구가 수행되었지만, 부유사 이송에 따른 연구가 추가로 진행되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 CCHE2D 모형을 이용하여 2차원 비평형 부유사이송 수치모의를 수행하고, Galappatti와 Vreugdenhil(1985)의 수리모형 실험결과와 비교하여 부유사 이송에 따른 준설웅덩이 적응과정 수치모의 능력을 평가하였고, 비평형유사이송 매개변수인 Nonequilibrium adaptive coefficient의 수치모의 결과에 대한 민감도를 분석하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 국내 하천 특성을 반영한 하도 준설 웅덩이의 적응과정에 대한 수치모의의 기초자료로 활용되어, 하도의 안정성 평가 및 설계 등에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

        Various foreign materials such as contaminated soil, woody waste, drums containing waste oil, waste transformer, and waste pressure vessel are generated during the collecting and sorting processes of steel scrap. Recently, environmental problems have occurred because of the use of steel scrap that contained contaminants and was not separated properly. And this has also affected the quality of iron products made of steel scrap. Particularly, contaminated soil is highly likely to contain various hazardous substances including heavy metals, which is why proper management standards for contaminated soil are necessary. In this study, concentrations of heavy metals, BTEX, TPH, PAHs, and hazardous materials in contaminated soil were analyzed. It was found that the concentrations of lead and zinc were higher than other heavy metals and iron also showed high concentration. The very high TPH concentration in contaminated soil implies that contaminated soil was polluted by diesel, fuel oil or lubricant. So the comprehensive management regulatory plan and management standard for the hazardous materials are necessary for environmentally-friendly recycling of steel and iron scrap.

        원자력 발전소 중대사고에 의해 방사성 세슘(137Cs)이 지하수계로 유출될 경우를 가정하여, 연구 지역의 깊이에 따른 암석매질의 특성을 규명하고 세슘의 흡착계수를 정량적으로 평가하였다. 대상지역인 신고리 원전 3, 4호기의 지하 암석매질은 주로 석영 및 장석류로 이루어진 화강암 계열이며, 운모류를 10~20% 함유하고 있다. 비교적 얕은 심도(6.3~7.4 m)의 파쇄대에서 2차 광물인 녹니석이 일부 포함되어 있었지만, 기반암에서는 거의 발견되지 않았다. 137Cs의 흡착분배계수(Kd)는 파쇄대 지역에서 약 880~960 mL/g로 기반암 지역에서의 820~840 mL/g보다 비교적 높게 나타났으며, 이는 파쇄대에 포함되어 있는 풍화생성물인 2차 광물들에 의한 영향으로 판단된다. 따라서 137Cs이 지하 매질로 유출될 경우 대부분은 천부 지역에 흡착되어 세슘에 의한 오염 확산 속도가 지연될 것이라고 예상되며, 이러한 결과는 원자력 발전소 안정성 평가인자 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

        We propose jitter radiation and jitter self-Compton process in this work. We apply our model to the study of GRB prompt emission and GeV-emission. Our results can explain the multi-wavelength spectrum of GRB 100728A very well.

        This study reviews what previous analyses have suggested for /l/-related processes in Korean, pointing out their weak- nesses. It is shown that previous analyses framed in the standard generative phonology and feature geometry with underspecification lose generality in explanation by treating each process separately and that they cannot account for why /l/-nasalization takes place unilaterally from right to left. Lee (2012), a constraint-based analysis, is examined and criticized since it needs awkward and unnecessary assumptions centering on an underlying repre- sentation of /l/. Assuming /l/ as linked with a mora and overlapped with /n/ captures close interactions between /l/ and /n/ but leaves many questions unsolved. In his analysis, the behavior of /l/ in compounds needs to include a morpheme boundary and constraint re-ranking at once. The present study overcomes the weaknesses of previous analyses by resorting to constraints based on intersyllabic sonority difference. These constraints in combination with other faithfulness constraints solve the directionality problem and provide generality in explanation by treating all /l/-related processes at one fell swoop with no reference to constraint re-ranking in compounds.

        비정질 실리카겔은 Si와 O로 이루어진 가장 간단한 화합물로서, 표면에 다양한 구조의 물과 수산기, 그리고 합성과정에서 형성된 유기 리간드(ligand)를 함유하고 있어, 지권, 수권, 그리고 생물권의 상호작용을 이해하는 모델 시스템으로서 의미를 갖는다. 본 연구에서는 17O NMR 분광분석을 통해 비정질 실리카겔의 Si-O-Si와 Si-OH 산소 원자환경의 차이를 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 SiCl4의 수화반응을 통해 17O이 집적된 비정질 실리카겔을 합성하였다. 1H과 29Si NMR 분광분석 결과, 비정질 실리카겔 표면에는 다양한 수소결합 세기를 가진 물과 수산기 이외에, Si-O·sR 형태의 유기 리간드가 존재함을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 유기 리간드는 에탄올 또는 증류수를 이용해 비정질 실리카겔을 초음파 세척함으로써 상당부분 제거 가능하다. 17O NMR 분광분석 결과, 짧은 펄스 길이(0.175μs)를 이용한 17O NMR 스펙트럼에서 Si-O-Si와 Si-OH 산소원자 환경이 거의 구분되지 않고 나타나는 반면, 특정 실험조건(2μs 펄스길이)의 17O NMR 스펙트럼에서는 약 0 ppm에서 빠른 동역학적 특성을 가지는 Si-OH로 추정되는 피크가 관찰되었다. 이 피크는 비정질 실리카겔 표면의 유기 리간드가 제거됨에 따라 더 뚜렷하게 관찰되며, 이는 유기 리간드와 비정질 실리카의 산소원자 사이의 상호작용이 존재함을 지시한다. 이와 같은 상호작용은 비정질 실리카겔 표면의 수산기의 원자구조에 대한 정보를 제공하며, 이를 통해 규산염 지구물질의 탈수반응 기작에 대한 이해를 고양시킬 수 있다. 따라서 궁극적으로 지구물질의 탈수반응에 기인하여 일어나는 섭입대의 중간깊이(약 70~300 km)에서 일어나는 지진의 미시적인 원인에 대한 실마리를 제시할 것으로 기대된다.

        The amount of contaminated dredged materials are increasing every year in Korea. Secondary contamination would be expected, if contaminated marine clayey slurry remains without treatment. Therefore, the appropriate remedial treatments are required in order to prevent secondary contamination. Electrokinetic method is especially suitable for low permeability dredged clayey soils because pore fluid can be easily transported by electric field. Hydrogen ions created by electrolysis enhance the remedial processes by desorbing heavy metal contaminants from slurry soil surfaces. This study investigated variation of electrical current and voltage gradient during the treatment, and ICP analysis as well as pH measurements were carried out to measure zinc concentration during and after the treatment.

        Waste dusts generated from various metallurgical processes were investigated for effective management of the designated waste in South Korea. Source of the study were selected based on the industries registered on the Allbarosystem. Raw material, products and manufacturing process were investigated on-site and leaching behavior of six heavy metals (Cr6+, Cd, Cu, Pb, Hg, As) along with CN was studied in 41 waste dust samples. We identified 14 samples exceeded the Korean regulation standard out of which 5 samples were designated waste. We suggest that regular monitoring is essential for the proper management.

        This study was performed to enhance contents of low molecular weight ginsenoside Rh2 and Rg3 using an ultra high pressure and steaming process in wild cultured-Root in wild ginseng. For selective increase in contents of Rg3 and Rh2 in cultured wild ginseng roots, an ultra high extraction was applied at 500MPa for 20 min which was followed by steaming process at 90℃ for 12 hr. It was revealed that contents of ginsenosides, Rb1, Rb2, Rc and Rd, were decreased with the complex process described above, whereas contents of ginsenoside Rh2 and Rg3 were increased up to 4.918 mg/g and 6.115 mg/g, respectively. In addition, concentration of benzo[α]pyrene in extracts of the cultured wild ginseng roots treated by the complex process was 0.64 ppm but it was 0.78 ppm when it was treated with the steaming process. From the results, it was strongly suggested that low molecular weight ginsenosides, Rh2 and Rg3, are converted from Rb1, Rb2, Rc, and Rd which are easily broken down by an ultra high pressure and steaming process. This results indicate that an ultra high pressure and steaming process can selectively increase in contents of Rg3 and Rh2 in cultured wild ginseng roots and this process might enhance the utilization and values of cultured wild ginseng roots.
