        Genus Phytocoris Fallén, 1814 is the largest genus among Heteroptera, around 700 species are described worldwide. In this presentation, the genus Phytocoris from Korean Peninsula is reviewed for the first time with eight species, includes one new record, P. minakatai and one new species, P. goryeonus sp. nov. For further comprehension of this genus, figures of dorsal habitus, genitalia and diagnosis of each Phytocoris species are provided.

        Plant nutrition one of the most important factors that increase plant production. Thus, the present study was carried out to investigate the effects of NPK (three main macro elements of fertilizer) and their interactions on morphological and biochemical contents of Deodeok (Codonopsis lanceolata). Results exhibited that application of different fertilization treatments had a considerable effect on the different vegetative growth characteristics of C. lanceolata compared to the non fertilizer control. Plant height showed significant results towards all fertilization group compared to non fertilizer group, and the highest value (266.8 cm) for plant height was observed from the N+P+K group. The growth of internode was converted to vine after node 5, no fertilizer effects were found on internode elongation. Chlorophyll content showed a high amount in the range of 42.8 to 46.6 against all fertilization treatment groups, except P+K group. The highest values (57.0 g) for the fresh weight of roots were obtained from the N+P+K groups compared to non fertilizer group. The mineral nutrient content of Na, Mg, Cu and Al of the roots of C. lanceolata showed the lowest amount from in P+K groups compared to other groups. In addition, P from N+K group, Mn from N+P group and Ca, Fe, Zn from N+P+K group also exhibited the lowest mineral content compared to other groups respectively.

        Taboo character is typical phenomenon of Chinese characters system, it is considered as the effective key in decrypting the date of Han-Nom texts inscirption texts. Such key is maintained clearly on the ancient books add steles of Vietnam, specially Taboo characters system in the insription texts of Tran Dynasty (1225-1400). Based on research results, we have found a new form of Taboo character previously published in studies in Vietnam Taboo characters. Such new characters forms have helped us easily discover in cription texts at the date of Tran dynasty in Ninh Binh. This is the useful and reliable source for researching of Vietnam Taboo characters in particular and ancient books of Vietnam in general.

        The electrical properties of Au/n-type Ge Schottky contacts with different contact areas were investigated using current-voltage (I-V) measurements. Analyses of the reverse bias current characteristics showed that the Poole-Frenkel effect became strong with decreasing contact area. The contribution of the perimeter current density to the total current density was found to increase with increasing reverse bias voltage. Fitting of the forward bias I-V characteristics by considering various transport models revealed that the tunneling current is dominant in the low forward bias region. The contributions of both the thermionic emission (TE) and the generation-recombination (GR) currents to the total current were similar regardless of the contact area, indicating that these currents mainly flow through the bulk region. In contrast, the contribution of the tunneling current to the total current increased with decreasing contact area. The largest E00 value (related to tunneling probability) for the smallest contact area was associated with higher tunneling effect.

        The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) on eruptive movement during tooth development. Sprague-Dawley (SD) rat pups were randomly divided into two groups; control group and experimental group. The experimental group was administered daily with n-3 PUFA by intraperitoneal (IP) injection. After 10 days postpartum, rat pups were sacrificed to evaluate the effect of n-3 PUFA on eruptive tooth movement. Histological analyses were by hematoxylin-eosin (H&E) staining. Tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) assay was performed to compare the osteoclast distribution in the bone matrix above the developing molar teeth. Incisor teeth eruptions were noticeably observed in IP group, as compared to control group. Rat pups in IP group showed faster tooth eruption on day 8 after birth. Through histological analyses, IP group showed thinner bone matrix and more osteoclasts above the 1st molar teeth, as compared to control group. TRAP assay showed significantly stronger stained pattern that the osteoclast above the 1st molar teeth in IP group, as compared to control group. The results suggested that n-3 PUFA could affect osteoclastic activity involved in bony remodeling during eruptive tooth movement.

        Eu2+ 이온이 도핑된 질화물 형광체 Sr2Si5N8:Eu2+는 탄소열 환원 질화법 (Carbothermal Reduction Nitridation, CRN)을 이용하여 제조된다. X-선 회절분석기를 이용하여 구조를 관찰할 수 있다. 흡수 밴드 피크인 470 nm 는 Photoluminescence Exitation (PLE) 측정을 통해 확인할 수 있다. 이러한 여기 광은 InGaN 기반으로 한 발광다이오 드에 적용시키기에 효과적일 것으로 기대되며, (Sr1-xEux)2Si5N8:Eu2+ 형광체는 Eu2+ 이온 도핑 농도에 따라 628 nm 부터 670 nm 까지의 피크 파장을 얻을 수 있다. Eu2+의 농도가 증가할수록 발광 파장이 길어지는 적색 편이 현상을 관찰할 수 있다. 청색 발광다이오드에 Y3Al5O12:Ce3+ 형광체와 함께 적용하여 우수한 연색성을 갖는 백색광을 얻을 수 있었다.

        In the electronic device area, several conductive polymers have been used such as Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT-PSS). In the connection of this concept, PEDOT-PSS was applied to CO2/N2 separation, which is the first attempt to this area. To be specific, the polymer was blended to poly(2-[3-(2H- benzotriazol-2- yl)-4-hydroxyphenyl] ethyl methacrylate)-poly(oxyethylene methacrylate) (PBEM-POEM or PBE). The conductive polymer formed the interconnected network by interacting with PBE owing to the specific interaction. This structure give the facile pathway to CO2 and N2, which result in the increased permeability of the gases. Especially, improved CO2 solubility caused the permeability (59.6 Barrer) to be increased, which brought about the enhanced CO2/N2 selectivity (77.4) of PEDOT-PSS 5 wt% membrane.

        A cost-effective, easy method for enhancing the CO2 permeance and CO2/N2 selectivity of mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) was fabricated using commercially available MgCO3 crystals. The MgCO3 crystals were homogenously dispersed in polymer matrices via mechanical stirring to prepare MMMs. In particular, an amphiphilic comb polymer (CP) consisting of poly(ethylene glycol) behenyl ether methacrylate (PEGBEM) and poly(oxyethylene methacrylate) (POEM) was shown to be ideal matrix because of the interactions between its carbonyl oxygen atoms and MgCO3. Through SEM, HR-TEM, WAXS, DSC, FT-IR, N2 adsorption-desorption isotherm measurements and Raman spectroscopies, the MgCO3 and CP/MgCO3 hybrids were characterized. The CP/MgCO3 MMM with 45 wt% MgCO3 exhibited the highest CO2/N2 selectivity of 93.8 and CO2 permeance of 30.9 GPU.

        CO2 capture technologies have been highlighted over the past decades because of global warming. Among the various technologies for CO2 capture, facilitated CO2 transport membranes show high CO2 selective performance by introducing carrier which interacts with CO2. In this presentation, we prepared and investigated facilitated CO2 transport membrane comprising potassium bis[(trifluoromethyl)sulfonylimide] (TF2N) dissolved in a polymer matrix of Pebax1657. Adding potassium salt to the membrane shows further improvement in gas permeabilities while maintaining or even improving the gas selectivity, compared to the corresponding neat polymer membrane. Therefore, we have demonstrated that KTF2N can act as dual carrier for CO2 and its facilitated transport membrane could be very effective in enhancing the CO2 separation performance.

        Basing on analyzing the linguistic material in Quốc âm thi tập (􀊆􂙌􆜴􅦪 􆘇􀊇) written by Nguyễn Trãi 􆕯􂸍 (1380-1442), this article conducts a research on Chinese-borrowed words in ancient Vietnamese, and develops several concepts to classify Chinese-borrowed words. Due to the author’s viewpoint, ‘Vietnamese Chinese-loaned word’ refers to all Vietnamese words borrowed from Chinese language and Chinese scripts that were used in the 15th century Vietnamese language. This article then argues, the influence of Chinese scripts and language on the 15th century Vietnamese is so strong that it could help to contribute 63.37% rate of the Vietnamese vocabulary.

        The recent rise in applications of thermoelectric materials has attracted interest in studies toward the fabrication of thermoelectric materials using mass production techniques. In this study, we successfully fabricate n-type Bi2Te2.7Se0.3 material by a combination of mass production powder metallurgy techniques, gas atomization, and spark plasma sintering. In addition, to examine the effects of hydrogen reduction in the microstructure, the thermoelectric and mechanical properties are measured and analyzed. Here, almost 60% of the oxygen content of the powder are eliminated after hydrogen reduction for 4 h at 360°C. Micrographs of the powder show that the reduced powder had a comparatively clean surface and larger grain sizes than unreduced powder. The density of the consolidated bulk using as-atomized powder and reduced atomized powder exceeds 99%. The thermoelectric power factor of the sample prepared by reduction of powder is 20% better than that of the sample prepared using unreduced powder.
