        현수교의 기하학적 비선형거동을 해석할 수 있는 해석방법을 개발하고 해석을 실시하였다. 해석은 사하중하에서의 초기형상해석과 활하중하에서의 비선형해석의 2단계로 해석하는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 선형해석 결과와 비선형해석결과를 비교할 때 기하학적인 비선형 효고가 매우 크므로 해석 및 설계시에 반드시 고려해야 함을 알 수 있다. 해석치와 측정치를 비교분석한 결과 새로운 알고리즘이 매우 유용함을 보여주고 있다.

        In case of applying Guss asphalt concrete on steel deck of suspension bridges, the weight of the pavement may lead to a change in cable tension and a inclination of the main tower. And when the construction speed is high or excessive application width is applied it, a high temperature rise occurs at a large area at a time, and demage due to thermal deformation or excessive local stress may be induced in bridge members. In this study, we present a case study of the thermal effect on the structure behavior of the site by numerical analysis.

        The corrosion is one of the main causes of cable damages. The use of dehumidification system can be an alternative for this issue. Therefore, the authors have been evaluated for efficiency of the cable dehumidification system for the main cables of a suspension bridge. This study was initiated to develop an efficient and economical management strategy to operate the cable dehumidification system for suspension bridges built in the coastal region of South Korea.

        A fatigue crack occurred in the vicinity of the suspension bridge`s center-stay area is generated. Therefore, the stress and caused of occurrence of each member are analyzed by measurement. When similar cases occur in the future, they shall be utilized as basic data such as research methods and establishment of measures for maintenance.

        For suspension bridges, the super-structure is supported by main cables and hangers which carry the dead and live loads to the pylons and anchorages. Due to the fact that the difficultly of repair and strengthening for damaged cables, it is very important to find an efficient way of maintenance methods for cables.         In this study, measurement temperature in the bridges was compared with temperature proposed by Korean design code. In addition, the structural analysis was performed in order to comparing the stress by measured thermal load and the stress by design thermal load. As a result, the stress that applied measurement temperature was evaluated larger than the stress that applied temperature proposed by Korean design code.
