        본 논문은 기존 RC 보강방법인 철골프레임 적용방법의 단점을 보완하고자, 접합철물을 최소화하고 팽창형 모르타르를 사용하여 H형강 프레임을 기존 RC 골조에 보강하고자 하였다. 철골프레임 적용 유․무를 변수로 RC 골조에 대한 반복가력실험을 실시하여 내진성능을 평가하였다. 철골프레임을 적용한 RC 골조의 최대내력이 기존 RC 골조에 비해 약 1.4배 향상되었으며, 등가점성감쇠비 평가결과 또한 평균 2.4% 향상되어 에너지 소산능력이 개선되었다. 유한요소해석결과 해당 실험결과가 신뢰성을 가질 수 있는 것으로 판단된다.

        This study assesses the adequacy of a critical value of the FEMA 273 for beams utilized in the present performance-based design. From the comparison the critical values of FEMA 273 with those of previous experimental result about beams, it was shown that FEMA 273 underestimated the critical values. Therefore, it is necessary to perform a research to find the hysteresis model for the performance-based design considering the hysteretic behavior of domestic reinforced concrete members.

        This paper describes the effect of steel frame on seismic performance of non-ductile reinforced concrete (RC) frame. To achieve the this objective, RC frames were made based on existing school building constructed in 1980s. Test results indicated that RC frame retrofitted with steel frame was improved the seismic performance than conventional RC frame.

        Recent earthquake of incidence is increasing. The purpose of this study was to investigate the strain characteristics of bare frame with non-seismic details. The experimental investigation consisted of a cyclic load tests on 1/3-scale models of one story-one bay bare reinforced concrete frame.

        The change of natural frequency according to seismically damaged reicforced concrete (RC) frames was evaluated by using shaking table test results of full-scale one-span RC frame. As the damages of cracks and yields of reinforcing bars were occurred, the frequency decreased. The frequency got decreased to about a half of the initial frequency when the RC frame specimen collapsed.

        This paper presents an analytical approach to evaluate a possibility of progressive collapse of reinforced concrete frame structure. In order to simulate adequate behavior of the structure, we considered the bond failure of lap spliced bars due to concrete crack in a plastic hinge region. Bond characteristic was modeled in the analysis by using previous bond-slip relation and the effect of it was evaluated. Analysis result gave that there was additional deflection due to the bond failure of bar in beams at the node where the increasing displacement load was applied.

        This paper presents the finite element (FE) response sensitivity and reliability analyses considering smooth constitutive material models. A reinforced concrete (RC) frame is modeled for FE sensitivity analysis followed by direct differentiation method (DDM) under both static and dynamic load cases. Later, the reliability analysis is performed to predict the seismic behavior of the frame. Displacement sensitivity discontinuities are observed along the pseudo-time axis using non-smooth reinforced steel model under quasi-static loading. However, the smooth steel material shows continuity in response sensitivity at elastic to plastic transition points. The normalized sensitivity results are also used to measure the relative importance of the material parameters on the structural responses. In FE reliability analysis, the influence of smoothness behavior of reinforced steel is carefully noticed. Cumulative distribution function (CDF) curves have shown minor change of failure probabilities due to the smoothness effect.
