        This study aims to to identify specific terms used in the documents of public organizations in order to assess the need to replace them for general comprehension by the public and to gain an understanding of how public organization officials and the public (those who visit the organizations) perceive those words. With their cooperation, the terms (used in press releases), guidance practices, notices, and website posting of Siheung Urban Corporation were collected, and 64 terms were selected through word segmentation of 300,000 words and morphological analysis. Next, a survey was conducted to determine the need for improvement of specific terms and the appropriateness of the alternative terms. The survey results showed an average v alue o f 3.04 (out of 4) f or t he n eed to r efinement of terms. The alternative terms received an average appropriateness value of 3.21 (out of 4). As a result of examining terms that require replacement by vocabulary type, it was found that E nglish a crony ms s uch as VOC, CS, AED, B L scored an a verage o f 3.23 points, indicating that replacement was most necessary. This survey of public organization officials and the public suggests that acronyms urgently need to be replaced in public documents.

        EU BSSD (2013/59/EURATOM) requires that NORM involving activities are managed within the same regulatory framework as other practices causing exposure to ionizing radiation, and a graded approach to regulatory control needs to be applied based on radiation risk. The graded approach is applied to all sources of radiation subject to regulation. However, it should be adopted for industrial activities involving NORM. In the case of the regulatory control of NORM, the application of the concepts of exemption and clearance plays a key role. Most of the European countries have adopted the new EU BSSD general exemption/clearance levels, 1 Bq/g for U/Th series and 10 Bq/g for K-40. In addition to the general exemption or clearance criteria, some countries have implemented the graded regulatory approach, adopting more restrictive criteria as a specific exemption or clearance based on the risk of 1 mSv/y for workers and 0.01-0.3 mSv/y for public.

        Reliable evaluation of radioactivity inventory for the nuclear power plant components and residual materials is very important for decontamination and decommissioning. This can make it possible to define optimum dismantling approaches, to determine radioactive waste management strategies, and to estimate the project costs reasonably. To calculate radioactivity of the nuclear power plant structure, various information such as interest nuclide, cross-section, decay constant, irradiation time, neutron flux, and so on is required. Especially irradiation time and neutron flux level are very changeable due to cycle specific fuel loading pattern, the plant overhaul, cycle length. However most of the radioactivity calculations have generally been performed assuming one representative or average neutron flux during the lifetime of the nuclear power plant. This assumption may include excessive conservatism because the radioactivity level has the characteristics of saturation and decay. Therefore, considering these variables as realistically as possible could prevent overestimation. In order to perform realistic radioactivity calculation, we developed monthly relative power contribution factor applying plant-specific operation history and cycle-specific neutron flux. The factors were applied to the radioactivity calculation. The calculation results ware compared with measured values of the neutron monitors that were actually installed and withdrawn from the nuclear power plant. As a result of the comparisons, there are good agreements between the calculated values and measured values. These accurate calculation results of radioactivity could contribute to the establishment of radioactive waste dismantling strategies, the classification of radioactive waste, and the deposit of disposal costs for safe and reasonable decommissioning of the nuclear power plant.

        In biosphere assessment modeling for the safety assessment of the Wolsong LILW disposal facility, the multi-compartment modeling in which all radionuclides transport is described quantitatively in terms of transfer factors between various environmental compartments has been implemented. In order to reflect the actual transfer mechanisms of 14C in the environment the specific activity (SA) modeling approach can be applied as an alternative to the previous transfer factors (TF) approach. The assumption of full SA equilibrium throughout the terrestrial environment is completely satisfactory for 14C release to the atmosphere if the 12C is emitted as 14CO2. This is the only form that is readily taken up by plants, so that active carbon is incorporated into the plant via photosynthesis at the same rate as stable carbon. Accordingly, the 14C concentration in Bq/g stable carbon is the same in the plant as it is in the air. And animals take up carbon almost entirely through ingestion and the SA ratio in the plant is maintained in the animal. In this study, a specific activity model for 14C was implemented in a GoldSim biosphere assessment model. From the literature survey for existing specific activity models developed, the IAEA model was selected. The farming scenario utilizing well water was simulated and the resulting ingestion dose conversion factors (DCFs) from the IAEA SA model were compared with those of the TF approach. The parameter value for the concentration of stable carbon in the air (gC/m3) is used as 0.20 gC/m3 considering the Suess effect. The dose coefficient for food ingestion used for dose calculations was taken from ICRP-72 as 5.8E-10 Sv/Bq. It was found that the ingestion DCFs of the SA model showed about 3 times lower than those of the TF model in the farming scenario through irrigation of well water, so it is expected that the SA approach could be applied for a more realistic assessment. Though the comparisons were made on the results from the terrestrial ecosystem only in this study, it would be necessary to investigate the applicability of the SA modeling approach for 14C through extensive comparisons and analysis including an aquatic ecosystem, and through parameters survey suitable to the domestic condition.

        Many countries have been developing their own FEP (Feature, Event, Process) lists to formulate radionuclide release scenarios in deep disposal repository of spent nuclear fuels and to assess the safety. The main issue in developing a FEP list is to ensure its completeness and comprehensiveness in examining all plausible scenarios of radionuclide release in a repository of interest. To this end, the NEA International FEP (IFEP) list as a generic reference have been developed and updated through long-term international collaborations. Leading countries advanced in the research field of deep geologic disposal of spent nuclear fuels have comparatively mapped their project-specific FEP (PFEP) lists with the IFEP list. Recently in 2019, NEA has published an updated version of IFEP list (ver. 3.0) which has a different classification system: the IFEP version 3.0 has the five main categories including the waste package, repository, geosphere, biosphere and external factors while the previous IFEP versions were mainly classified into the external, environmental, and contaminant factors. Most leading countries in this field, Finland and Sweden, recently succeeded to obtain the design and/or construction licenses for deep geologic disposal of spent nuclear fuel. Therefore, their PFEP lists should be good benchmark cases to the following countries. However, their PFEP lists have not comparatively mapped with the most recent version of IFEP and thus some gaps may exist in showing completeness and comprehensiveness in comparison to the IFEP version 3.0. In this study, we comparatively map the PFEP lists of Finland and Sweden to the IFEP version 3.0. The comparatively mapped PFEP list could be used as the basis for verifying the comprehensiveness and completeness of the domestic PFEP list currently under development in Korea.

        본 논문의 주된 연구 목적은 우리나라 대도시의 지역-연령-특수적 인구이동 특성을 파악하는 것이다. 이를 위해 지역-연령- 특수적 인구이동 연구를 위한 방법론적 토대를 마련하고자 했는데, 지역-특수적 인구이동 연구를 위한 공간단위를 새롭게 규정하 고, 인구이동 플로의 연령 특화도 분석을 위해 플로 SSD를 활용하였다. 이러한 방법론적 토대 위에서 연구 절차를 정련화하여 우리나라 7대 특별・광역시의 2020년 인구이동 데이터에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 주요 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 서울의 경우, 특화된 전출 플로는 모든 연령 그룹에서 골고루 나타나지만 연령 그룹 간에 공간적 분리가 현저하다. 특화된 전입 플로는 25~29세에 집중적으로 나타나며, 전출 플로에 비해 특화도도 높다. 둘째, 부산, 대구, 광주, 대전, 울산은 유사한 경향을 보여준다. 특화된 전출 플로는 25~29세에 지배적으로 나타나고, 35~39세에 가장 적다. 특화된 전입 플로 역시 25~29세에 지배적으로 나타난다. 25~29세에 특화된 전출 플로는 주로 수도권 지역에 집중되고, 65~69세는 주변의 시군 지역에 한정되는 경향이 있다. 연령 그룹별 특화 지역이 전입 플로와 전출 플로 사이에서 어느 정도의 공간적 일치성을 보이지만, 특화 플로의 수와 특화도는 전입 플로가 전출 플로에 비해 상대적으로 적고 낮다. 셋째, 인천은 다른 광역시와는 다른 특성을 보인다. 전출 플로와 전입 플로 모두에서 연령 그룹이 25~29세에 집중되지 않고 골고루 나타나는 경향이 있는데, 특히 35~39세의 비중이 상대적으로 높게 나타난다. 전입 플로와 전출 플로 사이에서 연령 그룹별 특화 지역의 공간적 일치성이 두드러지지 않는다. 향후에 방법론적 정련화와 보다 많은 지역 혹은 보다 많은 시점에 대한 실증적 분석이 이루어지길 기대한다. 주요어 : 지역-연령-특수적, 플로 표준화상이점수, 공간단위, 전출, 전입

        A solid-phase competition enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), recombinant VP2 (rVP2) protein, and monoclonal antibody (mAb) were developed for the specific and sensitive detection of porcine parvovirus (PPV) antibodies in pig sera. A total of 1,544 sera samples were collected from breeding pig farms located in the Gyeongsangbuk-do Province in the Republic of Korea. The optimal operating conditions of SC-ELISA were as follows. The concentration of rVP2 proteins coated on the wells was 4 μg/mL, the swine sera were diluted 1:2, and the HRP-conjugated PPV VP2 mAb (9A8 clone) was used at 500 ng/mL. These results suggest that the SC-rVP-ELISA assay may be a valuable alternative to the current diagnostic tools used to detect PPV-specific monoclonal antibodies and broadly monitor PPV infections in domestic pigs at different breeding stages.

        This study aimed to develop strain-specific polymerase chain reaction (PCR) primers to detect Fusobacterium hwasookii KCOM 1249T, F. hwasookii KCOM 1253, F. hwasookii KCOM 1256, F. hwasookii KCOM 1258, and F. hwasookii KCOM 1268 on the basis of nucleotide sequences of a gene specific to each strain. The unique genes for each F. hwasookii strain were determined on the basis of their genome sequences using Roary. The strain-specific PCR primers based on each strain-specific gene were designed using PrimerSelect. The specificity of each PCR primer was determined using the genomic DNA of the 5 F. hwasookii strains and 25 strains of oral bacterial species. The detection limit and sensitivity of each strain-specific PCR primer pair were determined using the genomic DNA of each target strain. The results showed that the strain-specific PCR primers correspond to F. hwasookii KCOM 1249T, F. hwasookii KCOM 1253, F. hwasookii KCOM 1258, F. hwasookii KCOM 1256/F. nucleatum subsp. polymorphum KCOM 1260, or F. hwasookii KCOM 1268/Fusobacterium sp. oral taxon 203 were developed. The detection limits of these strain-specific PCR primers ranged from 0.2 to 2 ng of genomic DNA for each target strain. The results suggest that these strain-specific PCR primers are valuable in quality control for detecting specific F. hwasookii strains.

        본 연구는 자원기반관점과 역량기반관점에 근거하여, 다국적기업 자회사의 역량(기술 및 마케팅 역량)이 자회사의 현지화 전략(조달 및 판매 현지화)에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 아울러 본사의 국제화 역량과 자회사의 업종이 이 요인들 간에 어떠한 조절역할을 하고 있는가, 나아가 자회사의 현지화 전략이 자회사 성과에 미치는 영향을 분석한 것이다. 이를 위해 이론적인 연구모델을 수립하고, S&P 1000과 Russel 3000에 속한 미국 다국적기업들 중 2000~2018년 동안 한국에 단독소유 자회사를 운영한 51개 기업들을 대상으로 실증분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 자회사의 기술적 역량과 마케팅 역량 모두 조달 현지화와 판매 현지화에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고, 자회사의 마케팅 역량과 자회사의 조달 및 판매 현지화 사이에서 본사의 국제화 역량과 자회사의 업종이 조절효과를 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한, 진출 분야가 제조업인 경우 조달 현지화가 자회사 성과(ROA)에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 논문은 그동안 연구가 다소 미진했던 것으로 평가되고 있는 다국적기업 자회사의 현지화 결정요인으로서 자회사 역량을 중심으로 실증분석을 실시한 연구로서 그 의의를 지니며, 미국 다국적기업들의 실제 기업 재무 데이터를 수집하여 사용한 정량적 실증연구로서 차별성을 가진다.
