        This paper is an exploratory study to investigate the influence of characteristics of local government web-sites on user satisfaction and trust. The objective of this research is to identify the characteristics of local government web-sites influencing on user satisfaction and trust, and determine how they affect user satisfaction and trust. From the literature review, we identify four characteristics which are expected to influence on user satisfaction: technical, information, customer-oriented, and work-performing characteristics. In addition, we develop research model that the four characteristics are expected to affect user satisfaction and trust via users’ perceived values. The results of the research are as follows. The technical, customer-oriented, and work-performing characteristics significantly affects perceived values, which significantly affected user satisfaction and trust. Perceived value is partially mediated by user satisfaction in affecting user trust. The characteristics of local government web-sites affecting perceived values differed partially by the purpose of visitor. As for the personal goal, the technical, customer-oriented, and work-performing characteristics significantly affect perceived values, with the technical and customer-oriented characteristics having more significant effects. As for the business goal, the technical, information, work-performing characteristics significantly affected perceived values, with information characteristics having more significant effects.

        AR (Augmented Reality; 증강현실)은 가상의 이미지를 현실 세계에 덧붙이는 기술이다. 본 연구는 온라인으로 활발히 소비되는 품목인 음식을 AR로 제시했을 때의 효과를 살펴보고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 AR 음식 이미지가 구매 의사와 사용자 참여에 미치는 영향을 정적인 음식 이미지와 비교하여 알아보았고, 이미지 제시 방식과 구매 의사와의 관계를 사용자 참여가 매개하는지도 살펴보았다. 참가자는 두 조건 중 하나로 무선할당되어 AR 조건은 AR로 음식 이미지를 보고 정적 조건은 정적인 음식 이미지를 보았다. 그 후 참가자들은 사용자 참여와 구매 의사를 묻는 설문에 응답했다. 실험 결과, AR로 음식을 본 조건이 정적인 이미지를 본 조건보다 사용자 참여가 더 높았고, 구매 의사 또한 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 매개 분석 결과, 사용자 참여의 간접효과는 통계적으로 유의했으며, 사용자 참여는 이미지 제시 방법과 구매 의사 간의 관계를 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 하위요인별로 매개 분석을 진행한 결과, 사용자 참여의 하위 척도 중에서도 심미성의 완전매개 효과가 나타났다. 연구 결과를 정리하면, AR로 음식 이미지를 보게 되면 심미성이 높아지며, 높은 심미성은 음식에 대한 높은 구매 의사로 이어진다. 따라서 본 연구는 음식 이미지를 제시하는 방법으로 AR 기술이 효과적으로 사용될 수 있음을 밝히고 있다.

        국내 고준위 방사성폐기물 심층처분시스템에 대한 프로세스 기반의 종합성능평가체계(APro) 개발을 위하여 사용자 편의성이 향상된 모델링 인터페이스를 구축하였다. APro의 모델링 인터페이스는 프로그래밍 언어인 MATLAB을 이용하여 구축되었고, 다중물리현상 모사가 가능한 COMSOL과 지화학반응 계산이 가능한 PHREEQC를 계산 엔진으로 활용하여 연산 자분리 방식을 적용하였다. APro는 모델링 영역을 기존의 정형화된 처분시스템으로 제한함으로써 모델의 자유도는 낮지만, 사용자 편의성을 향상시켰다. 처분시스템에서 고려되는 주요 현상들을 모듈화하였고, 이를“Default process”와 다수의“Alternative process”로 구분하여 사용자가 선택할 수 있도록 함으로써 모델의 유연성을 높였다. APro는 크게 입력자료 부분과 계산실행 부분으로 구성된다. 기본 입력자료는 하나의 EXCEL 파일에 일정한 포맷으로 정리되고, 계산실행 부분은 MATLAB을 이용하여 코딩되었다. 최종적인 전체 계산 결과는 독립적인 COMSOL 파일 형태로 생성되도록 하여 COMSOL을 이용한 계산 결과의 후처리가 가능하도록 하였다.

        As the importance of Knowledge Management System (KMS) in the military increases, Republic of Korea Army (ROK Army) developed Army Knowledge Portal. Although the members in the military are encouraged to use the portal, few members currently use it. This study was conducted to find variables to predict the user’s intention to use the portal, which contributes to activating the use of Army Knowledge Portal in the army. On the basis of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), ten variables such as perceived ease of use, general information security awareness, information security awareness, expectation for external rewards, expectation for relationships, sense of self-worth, attitude toward compliance with security policy, attitude toward knowledge sharing, intention of non-combat knowledge sharing, and intention of combat knowledge sharing were considered as independent variables. 105 participants on active duty who currently use or have experience to use the portal participated in this study. The results indicated that general information security awareness and information security awareness increases compliance with the information security policy. In addition, the attitude toward knowledge sharing is enhanced by expectations for relationship and sense of self-worth. Based on the results, the authors propose the need for policy alternatives to reinforce the reward system and security policy, which activates the use of Knowledge Portal Service for ROK Army.

        이 연구는 ‘근린공원의 구성요소가 이용자 만족에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가?’라는 연구문제에 해답을 제공하기 위하여 근린공원의 구성요소를 자원, 시설, 활동프로그램, 활동공간으로 이해하고, 제 요소가 이용자 만족에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 서울특별시에 소재한 3개의 근린공원을 선정한 후, 할당추출 방법을 사용하여 수집한 270매의 설문조사 자료를 이용하여 다중회귀분석을 수행하였다. 분석결과 단일변수의 통계적 특성에서는 이용자 만족, 자원, 활동공간, 활동프로그램, 시설 순으로 평가값이 높게 나타났으며, 피어슨 상관분석 결과, 이용자 만족은 활동공간, 활동프로그램과 비교적 높은 상관관계를 가진 것으로 나타났다. 다중회귀분석 결과 모든 변수는 이용자 만족에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 활동공간, 활동프로그램, 자원, 시설 순으로 이용자 만족도에 미치는 인과효과의 크기가 큰것으로 나타났다. 즉, 근린공원의 이용자 만족은 활동공간의 영향을 가장 많이 받으며, 시설과 같은 하드웨어 요소 보다는 활동프로그램 등의 소프트웨어 요소가 이용자 만족에 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과로 볼 때, 근린공원의 이용자 만족을 높이기 위해서는 이용자의 활동과 이를 지원하는 시설이 결합된 활동공간을 정비하는 것이 효율적인 것으로 판단된다. 또한 시설위주의 공원 조성사업에서 벗어나 다양한 활동프로그램을 공원조성계획으로 관리함으로써 유연한 설계에 부합한 공원 운영이 가능하도록 제도적 정비가 필요할 것으로 보인다. 본 연구는 근린공원의 자원, 시설, 활동프로그램, 활동공간과 이용자 만족의 관계를 회귀분석을 통해 분석한 연구결과로, 향후 근린공원을 구성하는 요소들 간의 관계를 고려한 이용자 만족 인과모형의 정립이 요구된다.

        People write reviews of numerous products or services on the Internet, in their blogs or community bulletin boards. These unstructured data contain important emotions and opinions about the author's product or service, which can provide important information for future product design or marketing. However, this text-based information cannot be evaluated quantitatively, and thus they are difficult to apply to mathematical models or optimization problems for product design and improvement. Therefore, this study proposes a method to quantitatively extract user’s opinion or preference about a specific product or service by utilizing a lot of text-based information existing on the Internet or online. The extracted unstructured text information is decomposed into basic unit words, and positive rate is evaluated by using existing emotional dictionaries and additional lists proposed in this study. This can be a way to effectively utilize unstructured text data, which is being generated and stored in vast quantities, in product or service design. Finally, to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, a case study was conducted using movie review data retrieved from a portal website. By comparing the positive rates calculated by the proposed framework with user ratings for movies, a guideline on text mining based evaluation of unstructured data is provided.

        목적 : 전면진입착석 화장실을 구현하고 실제 사용자에게 적용한 후 평가해봄으로써 휠체어 사용자들에게 신체적인 부담이 적으며 사용상 만족도가 높은 화장실로서의 적용 가능성을 타진해 보는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 연구방법 : 휠체어 사용자 40명에게 일반적 특성과 현재 사용하고 있는 휠체어에 관한 정보에 대한 설문조사를 실시한 후 기존에 사용하고 있는 화장실과 전면진입착석 화장실에서 화장실 용무를 시연하는 과제를 수행하도록 하였다. Rapid Entire Body Assessment(REBA)를 적용한 근골격계질환 위험성 평가, Quebec Evaluation of Satisfaction with assistive Technology 2.0(QUEST 2.0)을 활용한 사용자 만족도 조사, 사용 후 주관적 의견을 평가하였다. 결과 : REBA 평가 결과 기존의 화장실을 이용했을 때 점수(6.53±1.15)와 전면진입착석 화장실을 이용한 후 점수(3.18±.38)는 통계학적으로 유의한 차이(z=-5.930, p<.001)를 보였다. 사용자 만족도 조사 결과 내구성(4.48±.62)이 가장 좋은 점수로 평가되었고 안전성(4.38±.63), 필요성(4.33±.73), 범용성(4.3±.61) 순서로 점수가 높았고 크기 적절성(3.93±.67)이 가장 낮은 점수를 받았다. 사용 후 주관적 의견 조사에서 ‘몸을 회전하지 않아도 되니 편하다(30.8%)’가 가장 많았다. 결론 : 본 연구결과 전면진입착석 화장실이 근골격계질환의 위험성을 낮출 수 있다는 가능성과 사용자들의 만족도가 높다는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통해 작업치료사가 환경수정 중재 방법을 고려할 경우 응용할 수 있는 참고자료로 활용하길 바라며 추후 연구에서 개인적 화장실 뿐만아니라 공공화장실에서도 활용할 수 있는 작업치료학의 발전에 기초자료로 활용되길 기대한다.

        This study analyzed and discussed the competition relation between various media platforms, particularly fashion magazine, the Internet portal, and social networking (SNS) that provide fashion contents. The following results were obtained through this study. First, the Internet portal ranks the highest in all factors, followed by SNS, and fashion magazine as the lowest. Second, the Internet portal was competing with fashion magazine and SNS because there is an overlap between the two platforms. By contrast, SNS has a relatively low degree of overlap with fashion magazines, and they are complementary to each other. Third, the Internet portal has a strong advantage over fashion magazine and SNS in all factors. On the basis of the results of this study, we can summarize remarkable points in strategy formulation as follows. First, the Internet portal, which is popularized by “usage accessibility,” is expected to continue to dominate the competition over other media platforms while providing greater gratification to users of fashion contents. Second, the competitiveness of fashion magazines, which has been shrinking dramatically, lies in the diversity and quality of fashion contents. Innovating ways to develop creative fashion content and improve the quality through more in-depth analysis of the reader is essential. Third, SNS is slightly behind the Internet portal as a whole; however, it is one of the emerging platforms in the fashion content market because of its competitive advantage in terms of gratification opportunities.

        도시의 인구가 증가함에 따라 도시민의 여가 공간으로 활용되는 도심지 공원의 중요성이 가중되고 있다. 그러나 과도한 인구 밀집으로 인한 공원 이용객의 증가는 도시공원 내 범죄 발생 증가로 이어지고 있으며, 이러한 공원 내의 범죄율은 매년 증가하는 추세를 보이고 있다(경찰청통계, 2012). 특히 최근에는 시체유기와 같은 강력범죄 또한 증가 하고 있는 실정으로, 사회적 관심 공간으로서 재조명되고 있다(김석진과 박미량, 2013). 이에 환경개선을 통한 범죄 예방설계(CPTED)기법 5원칙(자연적 감시, 접근통제, 영역 성, 활용성, 유지관리)이 적용된 공원설계 지침 등이 등장하였으며, 이 같은 범죄예방설계 기법이 조경 설계 및 공원설계에 적용됨에 따라 최근 범죄예방설계의 적용 및 실증분석 연구가 진행되고 있다. 공원의 범죄예방설계 연구로는 기존 도시와 건축물에 적용되던 범죄예방설계를 공원에 적용하기 위한 지침계선 연구가 주를 이루었으며, 이에 대한 실증분석을 통해 공원 내 실효성이 있는 범죄예방설계를 제시하는 연구가 주를 이루어 진행되고 있다. 반면 공원 중 규모가 큰 소공원이나 근린공원의 경우 안전에 대한 인식과 요구도가 높아 공원 내 폐쇄 회로 텔레비전(CCTV)과 비상벨 등 다양한 범죄예방설계 요소에 대한 실증분석 연구가 다수 진행되고 있는 반면 어린이 공원의 경우 범죄예방설계 관련 연구가 다소 미비한 실정이다. 특히 어린이 공원의 경우 사회적 약자의 이용이 잦기 때문에 더욱이 안전성 확보가 절실한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 상대적으로 범죄예방설계에 대한 연구가 부족한 어린이공원을 중심으로 실사용자의 설문을 통해 요구도와 이용자평가를 분석하여 어린이공원에 직・간접적으로 필요한 범죄예방설계 요소를 도출하였으며, 이를 통해 어린이 공원의 범죄예방설계 적용 및 관리를 위한 보완사항 및 개선방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 어린이공원의 사용자 설문을 위한 대상지는 충청북도 충주시 어린이공원 12곳을 선정하였으며, 설문지의 경우 리커트 척도의 5점 척도를 사용하여 체크리스트와 이용자평가 를 조사하였다. 분석을 위한 체크리스트와 이용자평가는 범죄예방설계 원리를 중심으로 자연적 감시 7문항, 접근통제 및 영역성 6문항, 활용성 7문항, 유지관리 3문항으로 20문항이었으며, 수집된 설문지를 통해 요구도 분석과 이용자평 가를 진행하였다. 이용자 평가를 통한 범죄예방설계의 요구도 분석결과 자 연적 감시의 경우 휴게공간과 놀이 공간의 시야 확보가 가장 필요한 것으로 분석되었으며, 가로등에 의한 빛 차단에서 가장 낮은 요구도를 보였다. 접근통제 및 영역성의 경우 CCTV의 사각지대가 가장 요구도가 높게 분석되었으며, 지름길의 유・무가 가장 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 활용성의 경우 휴식공간의 그늘 조성이 가장 중요한 것으로 분석되었고 생태성 증진이 다소 낮은 경향을 보였다. 유지관리의 경우 공원의 청결한 환경에서 요구도가 가장 높은 것으로 분석되었으며, 공원 내 잡초 관리가 낮은 요구도를 보였다. 이용자 평가의 경우 자연적 감시에서 시야 확보가 가장 잘 되어 있다고 평가하였으며, 가로등의 빛 차단을 가장 낮게 평가하였다. 접근통제 및 영역성은 공원경계의 명확성이 잘되어 있다고 응답하였으며 음주 및 흡연 통제가 가장 안 되어 있다고 응답하였다. 활용성의 이용자 평가 분석결과 휴식공간의 그 늘 조성이 잘되어 있다고 응답하였으며, 조경요소의 만족도 가 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 유지관리의 경우 시설물의 유지 관리가 잘 되어 있다고 응답하였으며, 공원의 청결성이 결여 되어 있다고 응답하였다. 전반적으로 남성보다 여성의 요구도가 높았으며 현장평가에서도 낮은 점수를 부여했다.

        While the term online shopping refers to all online transactions, cross-border online shopping means shopping activities purchasing products or services over the internet for the customers abroad. As Internet use for the international shopping activity increasing, cross border online shopping has grown substantially for last decade. This study is about the problem regarding the cross border online shopping for two different countries and the variables that influence their shopping behavior. The cross border online shopping has been increased by the growth of Internet access. However, the growth of the Internet use does not guarantee a successful development of cross border e-commerce for every country. To find out the perception for cross-border online shopping for two different cultures, shoppers from two countries with different cultural background were chosen, and the perception for cross-border online shopping from each culture is contrasted. For statistical Analysis, ANOVA is used to find the relationship between a single non-metric independent variable, and multiple metric dependent variables. Hofstede’s cultural dimensions model is adopted for this study as a tool to find out the patterns of cross border online shopping. This study showed what the variables would affect the perception in cross border online shopping. The results of this study indicated that cross border online shoppers with different culture were notably different on two variables identified-timeliness and ease of use.

        The use of Project Management Information System (PMIS) is increasing in project management industries such as construction, defense, manufacturing, software development, telecommunication, etc. It is generally known that PMIS helps to improve the quality of decision making in project management, and consequently improves the project performance. However, how much and which parts of project management performance are affected by PMIS still need to be studied further. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of PMIS quality on project management performance. We collected data from various project based industries such as construction, defense, manufacturing, software development and telecommunication by using survey questionnaire. PMIS quality was measured in three dimensions. They are system quality, information quality and service quality. Project management performance was measured in nine variables such as time reduction, work accuracy, cost management, etc. Statistical analyses such as multiple regression were used to analyze the data. The results showed that PMIS quality had significant impacts on the project management performance and user satisfaction. It was notable that only two dimensions out of the three PMIS quality dimensions, system quality and information quality, affected the project management performance. Also, it was found that PM performance played a mediating role between PMIS and user satisfaction, and between PMIS and reuse intention. The contribution of this research is that it helps to clarify what aspects of PMIS affect the project management performance and user satisfaction.

        With the increasing interest among modern people in the environment and leisure activities, the social demand for parks and green spaces is increasing. Thus, with the increase in park consumers, it is necessary to systematically investigate and analyze user characteristics and demands and continuously reflect them in park management to increase user satisfaction. Therefore, this study focused on Central Park in Dongtan 1 New Town, Hwaseong City, to analyze and evaluate what variables affect users’ behavior and satisfaction and suggested ways to construct future neighborhood parks. After theoretical considerations, the site was investigated and analyzed, and user behavior and satisfaction were studied through surveys and in-depth interviews. The results showed that user satisfaction with the Central Park was generally high, and the park had a large positive effect on the satisfaction with the residential environment among residents. It seems that the psychological and mental satisfaction provided by the park, which relieves mental and physical stress in modern people’s busy lives and supports static and dynamic recreational activities, will be high. It was judged that if user demands are more actively reflected upon, user satisfaction can be increased, and parks can be vitalized.

        An increasing number of Internet users use hotel booking websites and online travel agencies to arrange trips and search for information related to their travels. This study investigates the impact of customer engagement on user perceptions of the quality and value of an online hotel-booking website, as well as whether such perceptions further influence user trust in online websites (eTrust) and result in behavioral intention of eLoyalty. The empirical results of structural equation modeling analysis of 400 questionnaire results collected in Taiwan reveal that customer engagement has a positive impact on perceived website quality (i.e., usability, ease of use, entertainment, and complementarity), which in turn influences perceived value. The results do not show a direct impact from customer engagement on perceived value. Finally, the results verify that eTrust mediates the relationship between consumers’ perceived website quality and behavioral intention of eLoyalty toward an online hotel-booking website; eTrust also mediates the relationship between consumers’ perceived value and behavioral intention of eLoyalty toward an online hotel-booking website. The findings provide both academic researchers and practitioners with a better understanding of customer engagement and facilitate development of more effective customer engagement strategies for online booking platforms.

        This paper’s aim is to provide an insight into when and for what type of innovation are different types of customers most effective participants in the NPD process (Gemser & Perks 2015). Most of prior research has not considered type of innovation or only focused on one stage of NPD process, although both innovation type and each NPD process are critical factors to the NPD performance in the customer co-development context (Chatterji & Fabrizio 2014). Even though some research has examined all stages of NPD process, they also did not specify users or innovation types to compare them. Thus, we will examine the effect of customer participation on NPD performance considering both innovation and user types in terms of each NPD process. The specific research questions are 1) In the NPD process, will the impact of customer participation on NPD performance differ by user-type (lead users vs. ordinary users)? And the NPD stage?, 2) If so, when we consider both user-type and NPD stage, will the impact of customer participation on NPD performance differ depending on the type of innovation (Incremental vs. radical)? The hypotheses are developed as a basis for the subsequent research. This research has several theoretical contributions. First, we discover more appropriate user type in each NPD stage in the customer participation process. Second, we also find more appropriate user characteristics depending on the type of innovation. Third, if lead users are involved rather than ordinary users, customer participation in the development stage can generate positive impact on NPD performance, which is the opposite result compared to previous research (e.g., Chang & Taylor 2016). Finally, we show practical implications and limitations.

        Responsible customers are becoming increasingly important and the influence of online user-generated content on consumer behavior has been extensively recognized. As a result of these two trends, social media sites are adopting new initiatives on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). In the context of tourism destinations, this paper analyses the effects of online comments made by visitors to two mountain resorts about three CSR dimensions: environmental (ENV), sociocultural (SOC) and economic (ECO). Our aim is to analyze the consistency of the effects of eWOM about a single CSR dimension (ENV, SOC, ECO), two CSR dimensions (ENV+ECO, ENV+SOC, ECO+SOC) or three CSR dimensions (ENV+ECO+SOC), in the impact of CSR dimensions on information adoption. Information adoption refers to eWOM perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived influence (PI). PU refers to what extent the information in the eWOM is useful and, in turn, tourists are more likely to adopt it. PI means to what extent consumers’ perceptions of eWOM affects decision-making processes. From an information processing point of view, it is important to analyze whether individuals maintain consistency in their preference for CSR dimensions. Transitivity has been used to measure consistency in product, so it could be applied to measure the consistency of the preference for CSR dimensions, presented singly or combined, on social media sites. Transitivity implies that consumers have a welldefined hierarchy of influence. If there is transitivity, it is expected that, given a set of CSR stimuli, its influence on PU and PI will be consistent. Thus, if the influence of dimension D1 is greater than that of dimension D2 and this, in turn, has greater influence than dimension D3, then D1 must have greater influence than D3. Consequently, we propose the following hypotheses: H1: The hierarchy of influence of online comments on (a) PU and on (b) PI is the same if the comment is about a single CSR dimension or two CSR dimensions. H2: The hierarchy of influence of online comments on (a) PU and on (b) PI is the same if the comment is about a single CSR dimension or three CSR dimensions. H3: The hierarchy of influence of online comments on (a) PU and on (b) PI is the same if the comments are about two CSR dimensions or three CSR dimensions. A within-subjects and between-subjects experiment was carried out to a sample of 612 tourists from Argentina and Spain. Participants were exposed to one of seven scenarios linked to a mountain tourism destination. Each scenario contained one, two or three online reviews related to CSR dimensions. The online comments resembled a typical TripAdvisor layout and were embedded in an online survey, which also contained measures of PU and PI. Our findings suggest that, of the reviews, environmental are the most useful and influential, followed by sociocultural. This hierarchical pattern is consistent when tourists are exposed to online comments about two or more dimensions, but not when comparisons are done between individual dimensions. Our findings suggest that consistency of the consumer's preference for CSR dimensions should be managed in analyzing multiple stimuli on social media sites.

        Prior research shows that in-store displays have a significant effect on product sales, but no study so far has measured this effect using a qualitative approach that considers the size of the in-store display or its general theme. In this study, a smartphone-based user generated contents (UGC) was used to encourage consumers to post about the in-store displays they liked. This study investigates the relationship between the qualitative content of in-store displays and the sales of the products featured in such displays, and the relationship between posts or likes and the sales of the products featured in the posted liked display. We examine the effects of the contents of in-store display on sales and the mediation effect of the POST or LIKE on these relationship. As the result, this study is the first to explicate the difference of the mediation effect of post on sales by the type of the content of the in-store display. Specifically, the following three aspects were elucidated: (1) “Seasonality” drives user posting on UGC and such posts contribute to increased sales, (2) “Mass” both directly contributes to increased sales and also promotes user postings on UGC, which contribute to increase sales, and (3) “Character” directly influences sales but does not contribute to sales through postings. This study also provides important managerial implications. The results highlight the role of the content of in-store displays in promoting sales. Specifically, if the goal is to simply increase sales, a character themed in-store display will suffice. If the goal is to induce postings to UGC, which will result in increased sales, then a seasonally themed in-store display will work. In this way, expanding consideration to the qualities of in-store displays makes it possible to develop a more strategic understanding of their effects rather than the simple on/off or numerical frequency approach of the past. It must be taken into account that the type of in-store display content that is called for will differ according to whether the objective is to simply increase sales or to also attempt to create WOM promotion.

        Products are successfully designed only when they are in accord with the users’ emotional needs. A systematic research approach is aimed to propose that physiological metrics can be effectively used to assess user emotion and behavior intention based on an eye tracker and neurophysiological approach. Forty participants (20 males and 20 females, mean age=35.6, SD=6.38, range 21-48 years), were recruited from college campuses and communities to conduct an eye tracker and electroencephalography (EEG) experiment with the presented stimuli (images of SUVs). The study uses partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the model hypotheses. The results show a strong and significant relationship between eye tracker metrics, neurophysiological metrics, user affective responses, and behavior intention. These findings could enable industrial counselors, professional product designers, and academics to categorize users’ emotional needs that can be subsequently incorporated into final product design.
