        To improve the shortcomings and expand the advantages of the single-roll melt drag method, which is a type of continuous strip casting method, the melt drag method with a molding belt is applied to AZ31 magnesium alloy. By attaching the forming belt to the melt drag method, the cooling condition of the thin plate is improved, making it possible to manufacture thin plates even at high roll speed of 100 m/min or more. In addition, it is very effective for continuous production of thin plates to suppress oxidation of the molten metal on the roll contact surface by selecting the protective gas. As a result of investigating the relationship between the contact time between the molten metal and the roll and the thickness of the sheet, it is possible to estimate the thickness of the sheet from the experimental conditions. The relationship between the thin plate thickness and the grain size is one in which the thinner the thin plate is, the faster the cooling rate of the thin plate is, resulting in finer grain size. The contact state between the molten metal and the roll greatly affects the grain size, and the minimum average grain size is 72 μm. The thin plate produced using this experimental equipment can be rolled, and the rolled sample has no large cracks. The tensile test results show a tensile strength of 303 MPa.

        Nuclear power plants in Korea were designed and evaluated based on the NRC's Regulatory Guide 1.60, a design response spectrum for nuclear power plants. However, it can be seen that the seismic motion characteristics are different when analyzing the Gyeongju earthquake and the Pohang earthquake that has recently occurred in Korea. Compared to the design response spectrum, seismic motion characteristics in Korea have a larger spectral acceleration in the high-frequency region. Therefore, in the case of equipment with a high natural frequency installed in a nuclear power plant, seismic performance may be reduced by reflecting the characteristics of domestic seismic motions. The failure modes of the equipment are typically structural failure and functional failure, with an anchorage failure being a representative type of structural failure. In this study, comparative analyses were performed to decide whether to consider the inelastic behavior of the anchorage or not. As a result, it was confirmed that the seismic performance of the anchorages could be increased by considering the inelastic behavior of an anchorage.

        Communication facilities play an essential role in disaster situations. Therefore, communication facilities need to have structural and functional safety during and after earthquakes. Recently, technology for partial seismic isolation has been increasing to protect data facilities and communication equipment installed in buildings from earthquakes. However, excessive displacement may occur in the seismic isolator during an earthquake due to the resonance between the building and the seismic isolator having long-period characteristics, which may cause overturning and separation of the installed equipment. In this study, analytical and experimental studies were conducted to evaluate the safety of seismic isolators installed in high-rise buildings. It was confirmed that damages might occur in buildings' seismic isolator, with resonance characteristics of less than 1 Hz.

        This study analyzed the physical changes in 119 paramedics transporting equipment at the emergency site and performing post-cardiopulmonary resuscitation through experiments. First, the average heart rate increased by about 25 times comparing CPR was performed without physical load and with personal protective equipment after moving equipment. In the third quartile, it increased to about 27 times. Second, when CPR was performed without physical load, and CPR was performed after moving the equipment with personal protective equipment, both the body temperature was raised and the rising body temperature was measured within normal body temperature. Third, the change in respiration rate increased by 7 times on average comparing CPR was performed without physical load and CPR was performed after moving the equipment while wearing personal protective equipment. In the third quartile, it increased to about 11 times. Finally, the change in blood pressure increased by 26.6 mmHg on average comparing CPR was performed without physical load and with wearing personal protective equipment after moving the equipment, and increased by 31.2 mmHg on average in the third quartile.

        In this study, durability and reliability were verified by developing a compost crushing equipment for mushroom cultivation that can perform both the compost turning process and the rice straw grinding process. Structural analysis and vibration analysis were performed. The designed compost crusher is designed with sufficient strength within the range that satisfies the safety factor as a result of structural analysis. In the case of the basic frame, it is judged to have sufficient safety against various impacts that may occur during transport or operation. As a result of the performance evaluation of the compost grinding device, it was measured to be capable of crushing and turning 11,630kg of compost in one hour, and it showed excellent performance in terms of work volume and loadable height.

        Weight-based exercise equipment is unreasonable because of its large weight or volume and has limitations in use at home. On top of that, it is not easy to control the weight of domestic muscular exercise devices such as dumbbells and latex bands. This study proposes a new type of exercise equipment that can be used at home by modifying the exercise equipment used in fitness centers. Home training exercise equipment has been optimized by replacing the weight of strength training equipment, which is the core of weight control, with electric motors. For optimal design, process integration and design optimization (PIANO), a commercial PIDO tool, was analyzed in conjunction with DAFUL, a multi-body dynamics analysis program. When formulating the optimal design, the objective function was to minimize the weight, and the shape of the pinwheel and pulley used in exercise equipment was proposed considering the stress of cables as design constraints. As a result of optimization, design proposals were derived while meeting the design requirements and reduced by 5% compared to the initial model. In this work, we have miniaturized the shape of exercise equipment compared to conventional exercise equipment by optimizing its shape.

        부식은 환경과의 반응에 의한 금속의 열화이다. 이는 완전히 제거하기가 어렵다. 부식은 보호 장벽이 파괴 된 후 빠르게 진행되며 매트릭스로의 금속 양이온 확산, 산화물 형성과 국소 pH 변화 같은 금속 표면과 국소 환경의 조성과 특성을 변경하는 여러 반응이 일어난다. 강과 철의 부식에 대한 연구는 이론적, 실제적 관심사이며 상당한 관심을 받고 있다. 산업용 산세척, 산 스케일 제거, 세척 및 유정 산성화에 널리 사용되는 산 용액은 금속 재료에 대한 부식 공격을 억제하기 위해 부식 억제제를 사용해야한다. 녹을 물리적으로 제거하려면 고가의 특수 장비가 필요하며 이를 화학적으로 제거하면 부식을 유발하거나 금속의 수명을 단축 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 퍼머 환원제와 킬레이트 개념을 적용하여 화장품 및 식품 소재를 이용한 친환경 녹 세정제를 개발하였고 산업 및 온수 관, 각종 산업 기기의 녹을 제거하기 위해 적용하여 보았다. 그 결과, 녹 세정제는 기존 처리 방식에 비해 녹을 더 효과적이고 안전하게 제거하는 것으로 나타났다. 동일한 시간에서 녹 제거 효율은 기존의 방법보다 공업용 배관의 경우 1.75 ~ 2.5 배, 보일러 온수용 배관의 경우 1.56 ~ 2.2 배 우수하였다.

        에너지를 절감하기 위해 고효율 히트펌프를 개발하기 위한 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있으며, 실외기 코일에 발생하는 서리가 발생하는 현상을 줄이거나 없애기 위한 연구도 동시에 이루어지고 있다. 계절에 관계없이 히트펌프의 실외기에 서리가 발생하지 않는 연구를 진행할 수 있도록 자연상태와 동일한 조건에서 실험할 수 있는 항온챔버를 구축하였다. 실험장치의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 실험장치인 항온챔버 내의 실외기 앞 덕트의 직선 길이를 3가지 조건으로 나누어 시뮬레이션 하였다. 그 결과 덕트 관경의 10배 길이만큼 직선 공간을 확보해야 한다는 것을 알게 되었다.
