        본 연구는 상용화를 앞두고 있는 위그선의 국내 연안여객운송시장 도입시 문제점을 사전 검토하고 효과적인 상용화를 위한 정책을 제시함에 있다. 차세대 해상운송수단으로 개발중인 위그선은 현재 연안여객시장에서 활동중인 초고속 선박보다 매우 빠른 속도로 운항하면서도 비행기보다 저렴하고 연비가 매우 우수해서 경제적인 운송수단으로 기대받고 있다. 위그선의 상용화는 국내 연안여객 운송시장에서 시작될 것으로 예상되며, 따라서 본 연구에서는 효과적인 위그선의 연안여객운송시장 도입 방안을 도출하기위해 AHP기법을 이용했다. 그 결과 위그선 관련법 정비, 계류장 설치 및 운영, 위그선 관제 및 통제, 조종사 고용 및 훈련, 위그선 유지보수, 위그선 선급인증 순으로 우선순위가 나타났다.

        The ratio of the mobility handicapped person is about 25.8% of the total population in Korea(MCT, 2006). In order to prepare for the enforcement of the "Transportation Services Improvement Act for the Mobility Handicapped People"(MCT, 2006), various equipments and installations should be developed to ensure appropriate safety level for the mobility handicapped persons in maritime transportation. While approximately 10 million people are using domestic passenger vessels annually, preferences for maritime transport is very low, especially for the mobility handicapped. This study reviewed a current status of the mobility handicapped person in domestic passenger ship and analysed the improvement plan for them. To investigate the current status of domestic passenger vessel usage by the mobility handicapped, to analysis the requirements for amenities necessary for the mobility handicapped and select the ones to be developed based on the investigated results and to do feasibility study of barrier-free ship.

        This study aimed to investigate the images that affect general travel behavior and satisfaction of eco-tourists of Section seven of Jeju Olle-gil and to give eco-tourists preferred images to newly constructed eco-tour sections. Adjectives were selected to evaluate images, and for analysis, a survey was carried out with 132 persons who have toured 7 section of Jeju Olle-gil. On this survey, basic travel type, overall satisfaction, image before and after experience, age, gender, satisfaction level and accompanying type were inquired. 81(61.4%) knew section 7 of Jeju Olle-gil 'in advance', and 58(39.1%), which takes up the largest portion in this question, came to choose section 7 by a word of mouth. 95(71.9%) answered that they stayed 2 nights and 3 days, and 55(41.7%) answered that they stayed at a pension as accommodation. As for accompanying type, 34(25.7%) answered they accompanied family and relatives. As for the decision of visit, 60(45.5%) replied that they decided one month prior to the visit. And as for the purpose of visit, 63 (33.8%) replied they visited to appreciate nature. The adjectives that demonstrate overall satisfaction and significance level of the tourists were 'placid', 'refreshing', 'living', 'mountainous' and 'green'. As for the satisfaction level, people were satisfied with its environment, cleanliness level and direction boards. The types of section preferred by the tourists were clay pavements, followed by sand-masa soil mixture pavement and wooden deck pavement. 'Oidolgae' section was selected as the representative section, and 10:00a.m.~12:00p.m. was preferred as visiting time. And it is also proved that people were positive in appointing photo zones.

        Nitrous oxide (N2O) is an important trace gas in the atmosphere not only because of its large global warming potential (GWP) but also because of the role in the ozone depletion in the stratosphere. It has been known that soil is the largest natural source of N2O in global emission. However, anthropogenic sources contributing from industrial section is likely to increase with rising the energy consumption, and transportation as well. In this study, a total of 32 gasoline-powered passenger vehicles (ranging from small to large engine's displacement and also ranging from aged catalyst to new catalyst) were tested on the chassis dynamometer system in order to elucidate the characteristics of N2O emission from automobiles under different driving modes. Ten different driving modes developed by NIER were adapted for the test. The results show that the N2O emission decreases logarithmically with increase of vehicle speed over the all test vehicles (N2O emission = -0.062 Ln (vehicle speed) + 0.289, r2=0.97). It revealed that the larger engine's displacement, the more N2O emission were recorded. The correlation between N2O emission and catalyst aging was examined. It found that the vehicles with aged catalyst (odometer record more than 8,0000km) emit more N2O than those with new catalyst. Average N2O emission was 0.086±0.095 N2O-g/km (number of samples=210) for the all test vehicles over the test driving modes.

        교통의 흐름에 있어서의 트럭 및 콘테이너 차량 등 대형차량의 혼입은 차체의 크기에 기인한 넓은 공간의 점유 및 승용차에 비해 상대적으로 떨어지는 차량운행 능력 등의 특성 때문에 도로의 용량을 감소시키는 중요한 요인이 된다. 도로의 교통용량산정 시 이러한 대형차량의 혼입에 의한 용량의 감소를 나타내는 척도로서의 승용차 환산계수의 개념은 1965년 도로용량편람에서 처음으로 도입되었으며, 이후 구미의 많은 학자들에 의해 연구되었다. 본 연구에서는 차량배열 형태에 따른 차두시간의 분석을 통해 환산계수의 도출을 시도하였다. 분석을 위한 교통자료의 수집은 통행차량 차종의 대부분이 승용차와 대형차로 구성되어 있으며 비교적 관측이 용이한 부산시 도시고속도로의 평지구간에서 첨두시간과 비 첨두시간으로 나누어 실시되었다. 본 연구에서의 환산계수 산정방법은 차두시간의 분석을 통한 미시적 접근방법인바, 동방법의 정확성 및 효율적 검증을 위해서는 거시적 접근 방법에 의한 산정방법과의 비교분석이 요구된다.

        본 연구에서는 낙도보조항로 운영사업자에 대한 경영평가제를 도입하여 사업자 스스로 지속적인 경영개선 노력을 유도하고자 AHP 기법을 이용하여 경영평가지표를 개발하였다. 이들 지표는 크게 3가지 형태로 구성되어 있다. 대기준에는 책임경영부문, 경영관리부문, 사업운영부문, 고객만족부문 등 4부문으로 구성되어 있으며, 중기준에는 책임경영을 위한 노력 등 15개 항목, 소 기준에는 관리자의 경영철학 및 전 직원의 책임경영에 참여도 등 44개 항목으로 이루어져 있다. 이들 지표 배점은 AHP 기법을 이용하여 각 항목별 가중치를 산정하여 배점한 결과이므로, 실제 업무를 집행하면서 운영선사 및 선박특성을 감안한 항목 간 가중치 조정에 의해 평가지표 기준별 배점 조정이 필요하리라 본다.

        As the international society becomes more and more open, the international marine transportation demand is growing. And the growth of international tour demands and the developments of new passenger ship routes make the role of passenger terminals crucial. In this context this study analyzes and compares the terminals of Korea and Japan and defines design criteria for the construction of a passenger terminal. As a result of this study, it is proposed that an urban context, an architectural type and spatial characteristics be taken into account for the construction cf a passenger terminal. The ultimate purpose cf this study is to build a future-oriented international passenger terminal based on the result of this study, which will lead the ocean culture.

        여객수와 화물량에 대한 예측은 터미널의 개발 및 계획, 선사의 적정선복량 화보를 위해 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 역전파 학습 알고리즘을 이용한 뉴럴네트웍을 이용하여 목포항 여객수와 화물량을 예측하였다. 그리고 이동평균법, 지수평활법, 뉴럴네트웍의 예측수행을 평균제곱오차, 절대평균오차로 비교하여 뉴럴네트웍의 예측수행능력이 우수함을 검정하였다. 또한 2005년 목포항 여객수와 화물량을 예측하여 여객선 선복량의 적정성을 분석하였다.

        In the transportation literature, many useful decision making models for ship routing and ship scheduling have been studied. But the majority of these studies are on industrial carriers, bulk carriers, or tankers. It is quite recent that a few optimization models have been developed for liner fleet routing and scheduling problems. However there have been few academic studies on decision making models for the routing or scheduling problems of passenger ships in spite of their economic importance in the entire shipping industry. The purpose of this study is to develop analytic decision making models for ship routing and scheduling for the passenger ship fleet. This study gives two optimization models, one is a linear programming model and the other a goal programming model. These two models are solved easy by commercial linear programming softwares and suggest optimal ship routing plans and many other useful implications for passenger ship fleet managers.

        Service is the source of firm's competitive advantage in recent years. The importance of service quality in any service industry doesn't need to be disputed. Customers have expected the improvement of the quality of service they receive ,so providers are struggling to meet these expectations. This study aims at finding factors of service quality in passenger transportation. An empirical investigation and the measurement on the perceived Service Quality by customers in the passenger transportation system was carried out. The purpose of this study is to clarify the factors of service quality on the basis of service marketing concept. In order to fulfill the objectives, this paper combines research tools that include both empirical study and documentary research. Data was gathered from 239 passengers by the use of questionnaire. In this study, the established hypotheses were generated on the basis of the service quality evaluation (SERVQUAL) model. Research findings through empirical test are as follows. First, five service quality dimensions in passenger transportation are identical to SERVQUAL dimensions defined by Parasuraman, Zeithaml, and Berry in 1988. Second, demographic segments such as gender and age don't have significant different dimension of service quality. Third, there is no significant difference between groups by experiences such as price level, abroad tour and vehicle type in determinants of transportation service quality.

        This paper aims, first to analyse the profitability of coastal passenger ships deployed on both subsidized and non-subsidized routes, ie competitive routes, in Korea, second to evaluate them by route, by ship type, and by ship size, and finally to identify whether the ships deployed on subsidized routes are justifiable to receive subsidy from the government. They are followed by the analyses on the profitability of all ships on the coastal routes and their dependence rate of subsidy. The research covers the period of 1995-1997. The research results say that 35% of the total subsidized routes has more than 90% of subsidy dependence rate and that some monopolized routes among subsidized ones with moderate rate of profitability need to be crossed out from the list of subsidy beneficiary. In addition, some ships deployed are not appropriate type in terms of characteristics of route and traffic. One of implications drawn from this study is that the government has to set up a watchdog to monitor subsidized routes, which enables to make them competitive and save the budget.

        This study examined the carbon dioxide (CO_2) pollution inside vehicles under low ventilation condition and evaluated the Air Quality System (AQS) for in-vehicle air quality using two techniques. The low ventilation condition is not recommended in order to keep oxygen-rich condition inside vehicles. Under the low ventilation condition, the in-vehicle CO_2 concentrations exceeded 1,000 ppm, the air quality guidelines in the United States, Western Europe, and Japan, indicating more oxygen deficiency inside vehicles. On the contrary, with the AQS-on condition, the in-vehicle CO_2 concentrations were less than 1,000 ppm for most of the driving time, indicating that the AQS could solve the problem of CO_2 accumulation inside vehicles under the low ventilation condition. The AQS test conducted by comparing carbon monoxide (CO) and volatile organic compound (VOC) concentrations inside two vehicles indicated that the AQS effectively decreased the in-vehicle concentrations by 21 to 36%, as compared to medium ventilation condition with the windows closed, the vent opened, and air conditioning on. In addition, The AQS test conducted by comparing the interior and exterior concentrations indicated that the AQS effectively decreased the in-vehicle concentrations by 18 to 31%, as compared to medium ventilation condition.

        The routes of coastal passenger ships are important in the light of both economic and social view point. Islands around the Korean peninsular can be actually dominated by linking them with land by the ships. The service quality of the route is not high enough to satisfy habitants in the islands. The income of the service-users is increasing so that they expect better service in terms of ship's speed and cabin. The reality is not, however, good to motivate ship-owners to replace aged ships with new and large ones. The situation is caused by low passenger-fare and inefficient management. Therefore the fare should be raised and the fare system should be innovated. And the number of passenger ship companies should be reduced from 42 to 20 by merger and acquisition.
