        Enormous apartment complexes in urban areas, temporary inversion state and heat island effect occur due to the strong sunshine and weak wind speeds which hinders the dispersion of air pollutants that are emitted from neighboring areas of apartment complexes. In this study, analysis were conducted by using the Fluent code based on the CFD(Computation Fluid Dynamics), including building layout, material, building height from the ground surface, the heat, analysis of flow field in the apartment complex. It was estimated that the temporal radiation inversion phenomenon during the daytime, which was caused by the weak wind speed and higher temperatures in the upper level, contributed to the stagnation of the air pollutants in the lower layer of the apartment complex.

        Recently air quality modeling studies for industrial complex and large cities located in the coastal regions have been carried out. Especially, the representation of atmospheric flow fields within a model domain is very important, because an adequate air quality simulation requires an accurate portrayal of the realistic three- dimensional wind fields. Therefore this study investigated effect of using high resolution terrain height data and FDDA with observational data to reflect local characteristics in numerical simulation. So the experiments were designed according to FDDA and the detail terrain height with 3sec resolution or not. Case 30s was the experiment using the terrain height data of USGS without FDDA and Case 3s was the experiment using the detail terrain height data of Ministry of Environment without FDDA and Case 3sF was experiment using the detail terrain height data of Ministry of Environment with FDDA. The results of experiments were more remarkable. In Case 3s and Case 3sF, temperature indicated similar tendency comparing to observational data predicting maximum temperature during the daytime and wind speed made weakly for difference of terrain height. Also Case 3sF had more adequate tendency than Case 3s at dawn.

        본 연구에서는 조력발전소 배수갑문의 형상과 배치에 따른 방류능력을 해석하는데 3차원 수치모의가 효과적으로 이용될 수 있음을 보였다. 3차원 수치모형은 RANS를 지배방정식으로 하는 FLOW-3D 모형을 이용하였다. 본 연구결과 배수갑문의 방류능력은 물받이길이와 도류벽의 접근각도에 큰 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 이의 개선 여부에 따라 이상의 방류량 차이가 발생하였다. 또한 방류량은 배수문과 수차구조물을 연결하는 구조물의 형상과 물받이 끝 사면

        선미파의 점성 상호작용과 수중고속선의 sub-breaking 현상을 해석하기 위하여 자유표면 유통을 수치적으로 시뮬레이션하였다. Navier-Stokes 방정식을 풀었으며 유한차분법, 물체적합좌표계, 벽법칙, 삼중격자법을 적용하였다. S-103 모형을 대상으로 준쇄파의 수치결과를 실험과 비교하였고 준쇄파 발생조건을 수중 고속선인 3차원 회전체에 대해 적용하였다. 준쇄파 해석결과에 의하면 M/Us 구배가 잠김 깊이에 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 선수파가 박리에 영향을 미쳐 선미파를 변형시킴을 확인하였다.

        전차륜느 연안역에서 큰 스케일에서의 물질수송에 대한 관점에서 보면 조류보다 더 중요한 역할을 한다. 이러한 잔차류의 주된 성분은 조석 잔차류이며, 취송류, 밀도류 등도 이 흐름을 변동시키는 중요한 인자들이다. 이러한 연안역의 흐름의 특성을 규명하기 위해서는 3차원 유동모델의 적용이 필수적이다. 본 연구는 하천으로부터 담수유입에 의한 연안수역의 성층화 구조를 다루는데 초점을 두었으며, 이를 위해 3차원 밀도류모델을 적용하여 울산만의 유동을 재현하고, 담수유입에 의한 성층화 구조를 규명하였다. 그 결과 울산만과 같이 담수유입이 존재하는 반폐쇄 하구에서는 표층에서는 만외로 유출하고, 저층에서는 만내로 유입하는 흐름이 발생하였다. 또한 만내방향으로의 바람이 존재하는 경우에는 표층에서는 만내로 유입하는 흐름이, 저층에서는 이에 대한 보상류로 만외로 유출하는 흐름이 발생하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 해수유동결과는 해양목장 조성을 위한 인공어초투하, 연안표사 제어를 위한 잠제건설, 해저산맥 조성 등으로 인한 연직방향으로의 용승현상에 대한 규명이나 심층수 활용을 위한 기초연구에 적용이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

        This paper demonstrates the numerical simulation of three dimensional flow pattern for vehicular exhaust dispersion in the street canyons. The wind flow around buildings in urban is computed by the SIMPLEST method. The convection-diffusion equation was used to compute the NOx concentration level near buildings. Details are given of important boundary conditions and turbulence quantities variations. The simple turbulence model was used for unisotropic viscous effect. A control-volume based finite-difference method with the upwind scheme is employed for discretization equation. The simple turbulence model applied in this study has been verified through comparison between predicted and measured data near buildings. By the predictive results, the updraft induced by the presence of high-rise buildings is important in the transport of street level pollutant out from the street canyons. Our suggestion for reducing ground level pollution is to have high-rise buildings constructed or to reduce the channelling effect of street canyons.

        In urban area, thermal pollution associated with heat island phenomena is generally regarded to make urban life uncomfortable. To overcome this urban thermal pollution problem, urban planning with consideration of urban climate, represented by the concept of urban ventilation lane, is widely practiced in many countries. In this study, the prevailing wind ventilation lane of a local winds in Daegu during the warm climate season was investigated by using surface wind data and RAMS(Reasonal Atmospheric Model System) simulation. The domain of interest is the vicinity of Daegu metropolitan city(about 900) and its horizontal scale is about 30km. The simulations were conducted under the synoptic condition of late spring with the weak gradient wind and mostly clear sky. From the numerical simulations, the following two major conclusions were obtained: (1)The major wind passages of the local circulation wind generated by radiative cooling over the mountains(Mt. Palgong and Mt. Ap) are found. The winds blow down along the valley axis over the eastern part of the Daegu area as a gravity flow during nighttime. (2)After that time, the winds blow toward the western part of Daegu through the city center. As the result, the higher temperature region appears over the western part of Daegu metropolitan area.

        평행한 벽 사이에 원형배관(circular pipeline)을 놓고 그 주위의 유동특성에 대한 수치연구를 수행하였다. 비압축성 유체를 가지고, Navier-Stokes 방정식을 풀었고 3차 풍상(upwind) 차분의 수치해법을 이용하였다. 한쪽 벽과의 거리가 매우 작아질 때, 볼텍스 떨어짐이 상당히 억압되는데 이것은 벽 경계와의 상호 박리 작용 때문으로 간수된다. 본 연구는 레이놀드 수의 변함과 물체가 벽에 접근함에 따른 볼텍스 떨어짐의 특성을 규명하는데 있다. 원형배관 후류와 평행벽내 유기된 박리의 상호작용을 집중적으로 다루며 서로 다른 조건에서 박리와 와역한(vorticity dynamics)의 특성을 해석하였다.

        In order to make use of the protection effect against wind by the vegetation, it examined whether it should make what vegetation form and arrangement using the 2-dimensional non-hydrostatic model. When the foliage shielding factor increases, it becomes hard to take in protection effect against wind in a residential section. When it makes height of vegetation high, it becomes hard to take in protection effect against wind with height. In the comparison in the case where vegetation high is gradually made low toward wind-stream from a vegetation, and the case of making it low gradually, although former tends to receive the protection effect against wind by the vegetation, attenuation of wind velicity becomes large. In the comparison in the case where foliage shielding factor and distribution of density of leaf are gathered gradually toward wind-stream from a vegetation. It has been understood to evaluate to height the influence that the vegetation multi-layer model by which the heat revenue and expenditure in the direction of the vegetation height is considered is used, and to characterize the vegetation group by the parameter setting.

        The purpose of this study is to estimate wet deposition flux and to investigate wet deposition characteristics by using the ADOM model. Wet deposition flux of highly reactive SO2 is estimated by applying observed meteorological parameters and concentrations of chemical species to the ADOM model. Wet deposition is largely dependent on large scale precipitation and cloud thickness. Wet deposition flux of sulfate depends on SO2 oxidation in clouds. When large amount of SO2 is converted to sulfate, deposition flux of sulfate increases, but wet deposition flux of SO2 is small. On the whole, the pattern of sulfate wet deposition flux agrees with the typical pattern of sulfate wet deposition that is high in the summer(July) and low in the winter(January).

        Land-use types should be included in air pollutant diffusion model because a complex mixture of various land-use patterns with computational grid can make errors in calculation of several parameters. However, the air pollutant diffusion model has generally been treated with a uniform component with land-use type in each mesh because of the complexity of the simulation. This study presents a numerical simulation of the horizontal distribution of O3 dry deposition velocity during summertime in Busan metropolitan city. The calculation of the meteorological field was conducted using the land cover data. Simulation has been performed by the following two scenarios : (1) one with current land cover data, and (2) the other with only land and sea for the surface characteristics. The results from each scenario reveals considerable differences on the meteorological fields and these differences can cause changes in the calculation values of O3 deposition velocity.

        A three-dimensional photochemical air pollution model considered advection, dispersion, photochemical reactions, and precipitation processes was developed. The calculated results of meteorological observation clearly exhibited geographical effects of Gwangyang Bay, in which land and sea breezes, mount-valley winds and local circular winds occurred. The observed results of daytime NOx concentrations were slightly higher than the calculated NOx concentrations in Yosu industrial complex, Gwangyang iron mill, and container yard. Eventually, the calculated NOx results generally agreed well with the observed ones.

        A Numerical simulation on the thermal flow performance was carried out to propose the incinerator type for the domestic refuses and to investigate the design factor and operating conditions. The SSTI(Standard Stoker Type Incinerator) proposed in this study was modified from the type with central flow. It has the characteristics of good mixing between refuse and hot combustion gas in primary combustion chamber and between unburned gas inflowing and secondary air jet in secondary chamber. By predictive results, the SSTI was no recirculation zone in secondary chamber so that mixing time was increased with high residence time. It has good characteristics of combustion and low emission. Parametric screening studies have been understood with phenomenon of combustion in incinerator.

        단일절리에서 2상유체의 거동을 모의하기 위해 개발된 수치모형의 검증을 위해서 상대투과계수 특성식을 수치모형에 적용하여 가스와 물의 동시거동을 해석한 후, 수치모의 결과를 모형실험결과와 비교하였다. 절리면의 거칠기와 간극의 크기에 댸한 민감도 분석을 실시한 결과, 가스의 이동속도는 절리면의 거칠기와 반비례하였으며, 절리간극의 크기와는 상대투과계수 특성식의 영향으로 단상유체의 흐름에서와 같은 간극크기의 제곱에 비례하는 향상은 보이지 않았다. 수치모형의 현장

        본 연구에서는 단일절리에서 2상유체 동시거동을 해석하기 위해서 2차원 유한차분 수치모형을 개발하였다. 개발된 모형은 압력에 따른 점성의 변화가 포화도에 따른 상대투과계수의 변화를 절리간극의 크기별로 고려할 수 있다. 수치기법으로는 IMPES해법을 적용하여 물과 가스의 압력변화량과 포화도를 차례로 구하였다. 개발된 수치 모형에 이용할 상대투과계수의 특성식 도출을 위해서 일곱가지 경우의 평판모형실험을 실시하였다. 실험으로부터 도출된 상대투과계수 특성곡선은

        For the purpose of predicting air pollutants concentration in Pusan coastal urban, we used an Eulerian model of flow and dispersion/chemistry/deposition process considering SST effects which estimate through POM. The results of air quality model including emission from various sources show that the seasonal variation pattern of respective pollutants was affected by the seasonal SST fields and local circulation. Horizontal deviation of diurnal SST was 2.5∼4K, especially large gradients in coastal region. Through numerical simulation of wind fields we predicted that local circulation prevailed during daytime in summer and nighttime in winter. So high concentration distribution showed toward inland in spring and summer seasons, while high concentration distribution showed at inland near coast in autumn and winter.

        지진해일의 전파와 이에 부수되는 처오름과정에 관한 수치해석에 관하여 연구하였다. 먼저, 대양을 가로질러 전파하는 지진해일을 모의하는 전파모형과 해안선 근처에서의 처오름과정을 모의하는 범람모형에 대하여 서술하였다. 수치모형을 1760년 칠레 지진해일에 적용하여 지진해일의 전파과정과 하와이 힐로만에서의 범람을 수치해석하였다. 철로만의 최대범람구역을 결정하여 현장관측자료 및 다른 수치해석 예측과 비교하여 매우 만족할만한 결과를 얻었다.

        Numerical simulation model using nesting method and considering topographic features was developed to predict atmospheric environments, atmospheric flow, temperature and diffusion of air pollutants in Kwangyang bay where having complex areas of point sources, Korea. In addition, developed simulation model was used tracing of spreading range of pollutants when a gas leaks suddenly from Yeo-cheon industrial complex. By comparing the measured and calculated data on atmospheric flow, temperature and diffusion of air pollutants, the results showed that this model can be well applied and complicated topography affected the diffusion of air pollutants.
