In this study, I would like to inquire about the composition of oegi(外機) on the hip and gable roof. Oegi purlin compose the basic member of framework of a hip and gable roof in both sides roof, supporting the inside end of the side rafter. However, the oegi purlin is not simply used to form hip and gable roof. The effects of using oegi purlin have the advantages of spatial. The spatial advantages are the width of the toekan(退間) increases as the oegi purlin escapes from column row and to increase the ceiling height by becoming a point of staying the ceiling. That reflect the desire to expand indoor space due to changes in worship behavior. Oegi purlin was used not only for structural needs, but also for altering in indoor space due to the changing times.
In this paper, it is intended to investigate the condensation characteristics of a supply vent cap, which is designed and developed for natural ventilation systems for ondol heating spaces. Numerical simulations are conducted using a CFD package to analyze airflow and thermal conditions around the vent cap. Temperature and humidity distributions are obtained to predict condensation on the surface, depending on the material properties. As the thermal conductivity decreases, decreased is the condensation surface area. The thermal conductivity of the vent cap is found to be less than 1 W/mK in order to prevent condensation under the winter design condition of Seoul. An experimental technique is introduced to visualize condensation on surfaces using water-absorbing mud film. Analytical results are in good agreement with experimental observations. Discussion are also included for the thermal comfort and flow characteristics around the vent cap observed by the flow visualization and temperature visualization studies.
The most important factors relating to the indoor air environment are temperature, airflow, humidity, and contaminant concentration. A sensitivity analysis of indoor environment factors was carried out to grasp influences along with changes of atmospheric conditions. An integrated multizone model was used to predict these sensitivities. This model was applied to an apartment with six zones.
Airflow rates are influenced very seriously by changes of wind direct or wind velocity, but are influenced very slightly by changes of outdoor air temperature and are not influenced at all by changes of outdoor air humidity or contaminant concentration.
Indoor air temperatures are influenced very directly by changes of outdoor air temperature, but are influenced very slightly by wind direction or wind velocity and are not influenced at all by changes of outdoor air humidity or contaminant concentration.
Indoor air humidities are influenced very directly by changes of outdoor air humidity, but are not influenced at all by changes of outdoor air contaminant concentration and have little or no influence by changes of wind direction, wind velocity, or outdoor air temperature.
Indoor air contaminant concentrations are influenced very seriously by changes of wind direct or wind velocity, but are influenced somewhat by changes of outdoor air contaminant concentration and are influenced very slightly by changes of outdoor air temperature and are not influenced at all by changes of outdoor air humidity.
