The chip processing system of large scale machine tool, such as planomiller, turning machine, boring machine and CNC machine, has been continuously used in many industrial fields. As the performance of chip processing system is improved, cutting work with high-precision is also required. This study aims to study the characteristics of the edged part of cutter depending on removing the cutter support in cutter assembly. As the results, the damaged spot in edged part of cutter was different whether the cutter support was installed or not. By removing the cutter support, the safety factor of edged part of cutter was decreased about 4.7 times and furthermore there were some advantages in less than 1.7kN of cutting force.

In response to the global interest and efforts towards reducing plastic use and promoting resource recycling, there is a growing need to establish methods for recycling discarded fishing gear. In Korea, various technologies are being developed to recycle discarded fishing gear, but significant technical and policy challenges still remain. In particular, biodegradable gill nets require a pre-treatment process to separate biodegradable materials from other substances and to remove salt before recycling. Therefore, this study aims to develop a pre-treatment device for recycling biodegradable gill nets and to evaluate the feasibility of recycling them.

Physicochemical properties of potato chip treated with superheated steam (SHS) at various temperatures (120, 150, 180, and 220oC) and durations (2, 5, 8, and 10 min) were measured to assess the potential application of SHS in the production of unfried chips. A faster drying rate was obtained at a higher SHS temperature due to a lower degree of water condensation on the surface of the potato chip. A higher temperature of SHS resulted in higher volume shrinkage, indicating the dependency of shrinkage on the volume of water loss. SHS treatment did not cause any significant defects in the appearance of potato chips although pillowing and burnt spots were observed on the surface of the sample processed at 220oC for 10 min. Damaged starch content and Rapid Visco Analyzer profiles showed that partial gelatinization occurred during SHS treatment. Potato chips treated with SHS showed the shrinkage of parenchyma cells, resulting to compressed cell layers at the surface and inside. As treatment proceeded, air cells were formed internally. These results suggested that SHS combined with post drying process would be appropriate in the production of unfried potato chips by reducing drying time without causing any deterioration in quality.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate for performance of biochipfiltration phosphorus treatment process developed by ANT21 and to enhance phosphorus water quality standards to meet the optimum operation conditions of phosphorus treatment process are presented. Alum, FeCl3 as the coagulant used, each with a Jar-Test influent water quality and remaval efficiency of phosphorus treatment process when compared to water quality and removal efficiency of T-P are not a big difference, Alum in the removal efficiency and water quality was the most stable and high coagulant in the case of the removal of CODmn, SS, TN. Alum and Polymer processing efficiency when using the water quality was good and treatment water quality is CODmn 19 mg/L, SS 5 mg/L, TN 26 mg/L, T-P 0.135 mg/L less than water quality standards. If Alum is applied to the field, Alum injection amount per m3 influent unit is 24 g. During the field testing operation period, the influent has average COD mn 27 mg/L, SS 10 mg/L, T-N 22 mg/L, T-P 0.910 mg/L, and the final effluent has average CODmn 22 mg/L, SS 4 mg/L, T-N 20 mg/L, T-P 0.166 mg/L respectively. Average removal efficiency of each water quality item was CODmn 21%, SS 65%, T-N 8%, TP 82% and phosphorus treatment process is effective for the removal of SS and T-P but there is a limit to the removal of CODmn and T-N.
