        The Gyeongju and Pohang earthquakes caused damages to many cultural properties; particularly, stone pagoda structures were significantly damaged among masonry cultural properties. To preserve these structures, it is necessary to understand their dynamic behavior characteristics under earthquakes. Analyses on such areas as deformation, frequency, maximum acceleration, permanent displacement, sliding, and rocking have to be performed. Although many analytical studies have already been conducted, dynamic behavior studies based on experiments are insufficient. Therefore, this study analyzed dynamic behavior characteristics by performing a shaking table experiment on a three-story stone pagoda structure at the Cheollongsa temple site damaged by the Gyeongju earthquake. As a result of the experiment, the displacements of stylobates did not occur significantly, but the tower body parts rotated. In particular, the rotation of the 1F main body stone was relatively larger than that of the other chief body stones because the 1F main body stone is relatively more slender than the other parts. In addition, the decorative top was identified as the component most vulnerable to sliding. This study found that the 1F main body stone is vulnerable to rocking, and the parts located on the upper part are more vulnerable to sliding.

        This study evaluates safety assessment before and after repair of Seonamsa temple seungseon bridge, which refer to the representative Hongye bridge in Korea. In this approach natural frequency of the structure were considered in the modeling procedure. Trial & error method is applied to obtain the approximate natural frequency before and after retrofit construction. Stiffness of the actual structure was examined to account for the dynamic characteristics of Hongye bridge measured in the field and adjusting parameters in computer modeling. The safety and usability of the stone structure in terms of load bearing capacity and displacement were examined.

        Recently, the occurrence frequency of earthquake has increased in Korea, and many cultural assets have been damaged. Cheomseongdae is a valuable cultural assets that must be preserved historically and culturally. But, the masonry structure such as Chemseongdae is vulnerable to lateral forces. Therefore, in this study, structural modeling and dynamic analysis are performed to reflect the ground state and structural form of Cheomseongdae. Also, discrete element analysis technique is applied and dynamic behavior characteristics are analyzed according to earthquake load. For this purpose, displacements and stresses according to locations are reviewed and then swelling and distortion are analyzed.

        The arched stone bridge has been continuously deteriorated and damaged by the weathering and corrosion over time, and also natural disaster such as earthquake has added the damage. However, masonry stone bridge has the behavior characteristics as discontinuum structure and is very vulnerable to lateral load such as earthquake. So, it is necessary to analyze the dynamic behavior characteristics according to various design variables of arched stone bridge under seismic loads. To this end, the arched stone bridge can be classified according to arch types, and then the discrete element method is applied for the structural modelling and analysis. In addition, seismic loads according to return periods are generated and the dynamic analysis considering the discontinuity characteristics is carried out. Finally, the dynamic behavior characteristics are evaluated through the structural safety estimation for slip condition.

        주각부는 상부의 강구조와 철근콘크리트조 기초의 접합부로써 매우 중요한 부분이다. 현재 국내외 강구조 골조 공사에서 사용되는 주각부의 형식은 크게 구분하여 노출형 주각부 근권형 주각부, 매입형 주각부라고 할 수 있다. 이 중에서 부재의 재사용 및 재활용을 최우선으로 고려한다면 노출형 주각부가 가장 유리하다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 노출형 주각부의 시공 성능 및 역학적 성능을 획기적으로 개선할 수 있는 형태의 강구조 선형상 노출형 주각부를 개발하고, 구조 성능 평가를 위한 탄소성 재하실험을 수행하였다. 그 결과 개발된 신형상 노출형 주각부는 수평 방향과 수직 방향의 시공 오차를 현장에서 간단히 흡수하여 기존 노출형 주각부의 시공 불량을 사전에 방지함으로써 구조 성능을 발휘한다. 또한 에너지 흡수형 고력볼트를 사용함으로써 변형 성능이 증가함을 알 수 있었다.

        This paper describes on the real-time tracking of ship's dynamic behavior by AIS information in the coastal waters. The AIS data was received at a land station by using the antenna of AIS receiver mounted on the rooftop of the laboratory, Pukyong National University (PKNU), Busan, Korea, and stored as a NMEA format of serial output sentence of VDM(VHF Data-Link Message) and displayed on the ENC(Electronic Navigational Chart) of a PC-based ECDIS. In this study, the AIS receiver was mainly used to obtain the dynamic information that is necessary to evaluate and track the movement situation of training ship "KAYA" of PKNU in the coastal waters. The change of position with time for the ship turning under the rudder angle of port 30˚ was correctly tracked with the turning circle of 940 m in diameter on the ENC of a PC-based ECDIS. Then, the dynamic information of the AIS system was updated every 6.29 seconds under the turning situation for the speed of 10.9 knots and every 21.65 seconds under the situation running at the speed of 11.05 knots on the straight line route of 155˚, respectively. In case of AIS target tracking in the inshore zone behind large topographical obstructions, such as mountain and apartment buildings, the update rate of dynamic information was irregularly changed by the existence of land obstacles. However, the position tracking by AIS information under the situation existing no sea obstructions was achieved in real or near real-time and the instant presentation of course alternations for the ship was correctly monitored by using a PC-based ECDIS. From these results, we concluded that the PC-based ECDIS technology and methodology combined with the AIS information can be easily extended and applied to the surveillance and management for the fishing operation of fishing vessels in the coastal zone and in the EEZ fishing grounds.

        연근해 어업의 조업 시스템을 개선하기 위한 연구의 일환으로 소형 어로 크레인을 설계, 제작하고, 크레인 암(arm)의 앙각 및 선회 조작에 따른 부하의 전후 및 좌우 흔들림과 부하장력의 변동을 측정하여 크레인의 동적 응답특성을 분석, 고찰한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 본 연구에서 설계, 제작한 어로 크레인의 능력은 2 T-M. 최대 작업 반경은 3.7m이고, 조작 방식으로 솔레노이드 밸브에 의한 수동 및 원격조작, 비례제어밸브에 의한 수동 및 비례조작, 컴퓨터에 의한 제어조작이 가능하여 어로작업을 효율적으로 수행하는데 널리 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 2. 크레인의 앙각 제어 실린더(lifting control cylinder)의 단위 스트로크(stroke) 변화에 대한 크레인 암의 앙각 변화량은 약 1.2˚/cm이었고, 측정치와 계산치는 일치하는 경향 나타내었다. 3. 크레인 암의 전방에 위치한 부하를 솔레노이드 밸브 조작에 의해 수직으로 인양할 때, 맨 처음 나타나는 부하의 전후방향에 대한 흔들림 주기와 각도 변동폭은 각각 3.0sec, ±17.2˚이었다. 또한, 크레인 암에 현수되어 있는 부하를 솔레노이드 밸브 조작에 의해 수평으로 이동시킬 때. 맨 처음 나타나는 부하의 좌우방향에 대한 흔들림 주기와 각도 변동폭은 각각 2.9 sec, ±11.0˚이었다. 4. 크레인 암에 현수되어 있는 부하를 솔레노이드 밸브 조작에 의해 동시에 수직 및 수평으로 이동시킬 때, 크레인 암의 상승속도 및 선회속도는 각각 4.46˚/sec, 6.4˚/sec이었다. 5. 크레인 암의 전방에 위치한 부하를 비례제어밸브 조작에 의해 수직으로 인양할 때, 맨 처음 나타나는 부하의 전후방향에 대한 흔들림 주기와 각도 변동폭은 각각 2.9sec,±8.4˚이었다. 또한, 크레인 암에 현수되어 있는 부하를 비례제어밸브의 조작에 의해 수평으로 이동시킬 때, 부하의 전후 및 좌우방향에 대한 흔들림이 거의 없어 비례제어밸브의 조작 변위량과 조작 속도를 적절히 조절하면 부하의 흔들림 현상을 대폭 감소시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

        Recently, it is more concerned about securing of its seismic safety, as underground structures are significantly recognized. Especially, it is very important that underground structures such as the tunnel of urban railroad or subway ensure the seismic safety of its, because it can be caused an enormous loss of lives and a economical damage by earthquake. When the subway tunnel of cut-and-cover box type is constructed, grounds are excavated and refilled. In this study, the parametric study is performed and analyzed about factors affecting seismic analysis of cut-and-cover tunnel, such as soil type, refilled range, tunnel location, etc. Consequently, it is hoped to provide the preliminary data for a better reasonable review on seismic design and seismic performance assessment of underground structures.

        The key findings of the paper are as follows: Numerical parameters study of the interface-element was carried out, the friction angle depends on rockfill zone material and normal and shear stiffness coefficient of the two materials (concrete and rockfill), the average values were found to be the most appropriate.
