        본 연구는 재래 철근콘크리트공법의 거푸집 및 철근보강재를 FRP 판으로 대체한 개념이다. FRP판에 리브를 갖게 하여 FRP 판과 콘크리트 합성을 개선하고 거푸집의 강성증가를 유도하여 영구거푸집 및 철근보강재로 활용하는 방안이다. 본 연구는 전단경간비가 짧고 리브가 있는 FRP 판과 콘크리트 합성보의 휨/전단 파괴거동과 균열형태를 비교 분석하였다. 콘크리트의 경우 CDP 모델을 사용하였고, 외연적 비선형 유한요소해석 결과와 기존 실험결과를 정점 하중 및 균열형태에 대해 비교 분석하였다. 유효균열방향 개념을 사용하여 콘크리트 균열패턴을 시각적으로 표현하였다. 인장 등가소성변형률이 0 보다 큰 곳에서 균열이 시작된다고 가정하고, 균열평면에 수직인 벡터의 방향은 최대 주소성변형률의 방향과 평행한 것으로 가정하였다. 이 방향을 콘 크리트의 균열으로 생각하여 실험에서 확보한 균열형태와 비교 분석하였다. ABAQUS/Explicit 의 CDP 모델은 FRP 합성구조체의 비선형 거동 및 균열형태 모사가 가능한 것으로 판단된다. 초기강성의 불일치는 리브가 있는 FRP 판과 콘크리트 사이의 미세균열 및 접착력 등의 문제로 인해 발생한 것으로 사료되며 1차 정점 하중 및 균열형태를 적절히 추적할 수 있으므로 앞으로 다양 한 FRP 합성구조시스템의 거동 및 균열해석에 이용 가능할 것으로 판단되나 보다 다양한 파괴 매카니즘에 대한 지속적인 연구가 필요하다고 사료된다.

        본 연구는 FRP-콘크리트 합성구조의 휨/전단에 대한 구조적 성능 및 거동 특성을 해석적으로 규명하고자 휨/전단 저항성능에 대해 외연적 유한요소해석을 이용하여 FRP 합성보의 휨/전단파괴거동 해석을 실시하여 기 수행한 실험과 비교분석 하고, 적용된 콘크리트손상소성모델의 각각의 인자들의 영향에 대해 매개분석하고 최적화된 안을 제시하고자 하였다. 기하학적 및 재료적 비선형성 큰 경우 유한요소해석 중 내연적 해석의 경우 수렴에 많은 문제점을 내포함으로 외연적 유한요소 접근법이 보다 합리적임을 수치해석을 통해 보였다. 본 연구의 경우 콘크리트손상소성모델의 여러 인자들에 대한 매개변수 해석을 수행한 결과, 다이레이션각의 경우는 26°, 파괴에너지 값으로 100Nm/m2, 인자 Kc의 값으로는 0.667 그리고 손상계수는 감안하는 것이 합리적이다.

        FRP is a new material that has light, high strength and high durability characteristics and is emerging as a third construction material in and out of countries. However, very few studies have been done on curved FRP construction materials that can be used for tunnels or arched bridges. In particular, many joints are required for the application of curved panels to the open cut tunnel. Experimental data on the performance of the joint is required due to insufficient design criteria. The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural performance of real size, composite materials curved panels. To achieve this goal, curved panels were constructed and bending performance was tested. A numerical analysis was also performed and compared with the results of the test. The results of the test showed that the average load was 757.6 kN and the average displacement of bottom was measured at 53.12 mm. Compression stress on the upper flange and tensile stress on the lower flange were within acceptable limits of 50% of the allowable stress.

        FRP composites bridge deck has advantages of structural characteristics and rapid construction in the replacements of the deteriorated bridge deck. Although FRP composites have many advantages, the application in the bridge design has been retarded so far due to the lack of design guidelines. In this paper, the design example for the FRP decked concrete composite girder bridges is presented to verify the proposed design method. The design of connection in the design example is the flexible hybrid shear connection included steel reinforcements and FRP tubes. Finally, this paper may be design guideline for FRP decked concrete composite girder bridges required the composite action.

        Recently, the fiber reinforced polymers (FRP) materials have been recognized as advanced materials for bridge construction. The FRP bridge deck system has advantages to construct rapidly, its durability. The FRP bridge decks have accepted as a method of deteriorated reinforced concrete bridge deck replacement. For application, design method details and connections for FRP bridge decks will be provided. In this paper, the design method, deck design and connections details on FRP decked precast, prestressed concrete girder bridges is presented. In this study, the design method of efficient connection between FRP deck and concrete girder is proposed with composite action. The schematic of proposed modular FRP panel deck-to-concrete girder connection is also presented, which is the flexible hybrid shear connection included steel reinforcements and FRP tubes. The FRP deck-to-concrete girder hybrid connection system should be improved with further refinement and experimental program. Finally, it is hoped that this paper will be guideline for research and development on this subject field for researchers and engineers

        Since it is impossible to predict earthquakes, they involve more casualties and property damage compared to meteorological disasters such as heavy snow and heat waves, which can be predicted through weather forecasts. This has highlighted the need for seismic design and reinforcement. Recently, the use of composite materials as reinforcement has surged because steel plate reinforcement and section enlargement are likely to result in increased weight and physical damage to structures. This study evaluates the seismic performance of panels created from composite materials, and their guide systems. The specimens were miniature versions of actual steel structures, and displacement loads were applied in the transverse direction. Seismic performance was found to improve when structures were reinforced with seismic panels.

        Due to the advantageous mechanical properties of the fiber reinforced polymeric plastics(FRP), their application in the construction industries is ever increasing trend, as a substitute of structural steel which is highly vulnerable under hazardous environmental conditions (i.e., corrosion, humidity, etc.). In this study, hybrid FRP-concrete composite pile (HCFFT) connection is suggested. The HCFFT is consisted of pultruded FRP unit module, filament wound FRP which is in the outside of mandrel composed of circular shaped assembly of pultruded FRP unit modules, and concrete which is casted inside of the circular tube shaped hybrid FRP pile. Therefore, pultruded FRP can increase the flexural load carrying capacity, filament wound FRP and concrete filled inside can increase axial load carrying capacity. In the study, connection capacity of HCFFT(small and mid size) is investigated throughout experiments and finite element method. From the results of experiments, we suggested the connection methods about HCFFT pile connection.

        Pile foundations constructed by the fiber reinforced polymer plastic piles have been used in coastal and oceanic regions in many countries. Generally, fiber reinforced polymer plastic piles are consisted of filament winding FRP which is used to wrap the outside of concrete pile to increase the axial load carrying capacity or pultruded FRP which is located in the core concrete to resist the bending moment arising due to eccentric loading. In this paper, the analytical procedures of hybrid concrete filled FRP tube flexural members are suggested based on the CFT design method. Moreover, the analytical results are compared with the experimental results to obtained by the previous researches. The results of comparison analyses are performed to estimate the accuracy of the analytical procedure for hybrid FRP-concrete composite compression test, members under eccentrical loading.

        In this study, the performance of a steel-FRP composite bridge safety barrier was evaluated through the vehicle crash test. Glass fiber and polyester resin were used for FRP. The structural strength performance, the passenger protection performance, and the vehicle behavior after crash were evaluated corresponding to the vehicle crash manual. As the result, A steel-FRP composite safety barrier was satisfied with the required performance.

        이 연구는 새로운 형태의 FRP-콘크리트 합성말뚝인 하이브리드 CFFT(HCFFT)를 개발하는 과정의 일부이다. 이 논 문에서는 CFFT와 HCFFT의 압축강도실험을 통하여 구조적 거동을 분석하였다. 압축강도실험에 앞서 PFRP와 FFRP 재료의 역학적 성질을 조사하였다. HCFFT 압축강도실험은 콘크리트 강도와 FFRP의 두께를 변수로 하여 실험을 수 행하였다. 그리고, FFRP 두께를 변수로 PFRP를 제외한 CFFT 실험체를 제작하고 실험을 수행하여 HCFFT와 비교· 분석하였다. 실험 결과, HCFFT의 압축강도는 CFFT에 비하여 11~47% 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 실험구간내의 필 라멘트 와인딩 FRP 보강두께의 증가에 따른 HCFFT의 압축강도는 선형으로 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 실 험체와 동일한 조건의 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. 해석결과는 실험결과에 비하여 모든 시편에서 약간 작은 값을 보였으며, 0.14%에서 17.95%까지의 오차범위 내에 있음을 알 수 있었다.

        본 논문에서는 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 강재-FRP 합성 교량용 방호울타리의 성능을 분석하였다. FRP는 Surface veil, DB 그리고 Roving 섬유로 구성하였다. FRP의 적층을 고려하기 위해 LS-DYNA에서 제공하는 재료모델 MAT58을 사용하였다. 강관과 FRP의 접촉조건을 고려하기 위해 Spot weld 옵션을 사용하였다. 실차충돌 실무 업무편람에 따 라 구조적 강도성능, 탑승자 보호성능 및 충돌 후 차량의 거동에 대한 성능평가를 실시하였다. 강재-FRP 합성 방호 울타리는 성능평가를 만족하였다.

        Concrete filled FRP tubes (CFFT) and reinforced concrete filled FRP tubes (RCFFT) are known to have the capability to enhance structural performance in terms of structural stability, ductility, as well as chemical resistance when compared with conventional concrete members. In this study, we evaluate the structural performance of the CFFT and the RCFFT through flexural tests for the purpose of applying the members as flexural ones. The degree of improvement on the flexural performance of the RCFFT member strengthened by the FRP was analyzed from the flexural tests.

        This study is planed to solve the overturning problem and manifestation of tensile cracking of plain concrete piers of railroad bridges. For the overturning problem, earth anchors are used to fix the bottom of a pier to a rock-foundation using prestressing cables. Composite of FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer)and Steel Plates (FSP) are attached longitudinally on the surface of the pier to prevent cracking. Then, FRP band strips are wrapped onto the FSPs to provide lateral confinement. Push-over tests in field show that the earth anchors are effective in preventing the overturning of the pier, and that the FSPs and the FRP strips prevent the cracking of concrete and increase the strength in bending.

        In construction industries, new construction materials are needed to overcome some problems associated with the use of conventional construction materials due to the change of environmental and social requirements. Accordingly, the requirements to be satisfied in the design of civil engineering structures are diversified. As a new construction material in the civil engineering industries, fiber reinforced polymeric plastic (FRP) has a superior corrosion resistance, high specific strength/stiffness, etc. Therefore, such properties can be used to mitigate the problems associated with the use of conventional construction materials. Nowadays, new types of bridge piers and marine piles are being studied for new construction. They are usually made of concrete filled fiber reinforced polymeric plastic tubes (CFFT). In this paper, a new type of FRP-concrete composite pile which is composed of reinforced concrete filled FRP tube (RCFFT) is proposed to improve compressive strength as well as flexural strength. The load carrying capacity of proposed RCFFT compression member is discussed based on the result of experimental and analytical investigations.
