        Production management in the automobile parts industry is carried out according to the production plan of the customer, so it is important to prevent shortages in product supply. As the product composition became increasingly complex, the MES System was built for the purpose of efficient production plan management and inventory management, but its utilization is low. This study analyzed the problems of the MES system and sought to improve it. Through previous studies, it was confirmed that the inventory management of the pull approach that actually occurred in the warehouse is more suitable than the push approach based on the forecast of the warehouse for the volatility, complexity, and uncertainty of orders in the auto parts industry. To realize this, we tried distributed MRP by using the ADO function of VBA to link the standard information of the MES system with Excel and change the structure of the BOM table. Through this, it can help increase the accuracy of production planning and realize efficient inventory management, thereby increasing the utilization of the MES system in the auto parts industry and enhancing the competitiveness of the company.

        Up to date cosmetic OEM/ODM (original equipment manufacturing/original development manufacturing) industry receives attention as a future growth engine due to steady growth. However, because of limited research and development capability, many companies have employed commercial management platforms specialized for large-sized companies; thus, overall system effectiveness and efficiency is low. Especially, MRP (material requirement planning) system introduced originally in 1970s is employed to calculate the requirement of the parts. However, dynamic nature of production lead time usually results in incorrect requirements. In addition, its algorithm does not consider the capability of the production resources. Also, because the commercial MRP system calculates all subcomponent for fixed period, the more goods have subcomponent, the slower calculation is. Therefore, conventional MRP system cannot respond complicated situation in time. In this study, we will suggest a new method that can respond to complicated situations resulting from short lead time and urgent production order in Korean cosmetic market. In particular, a distributed MRP system is proposed, that consists of multi-functional and operational modules, based on the characteristic of the BOM (bill of material). The distributed MRP system divides components (i.e. products and parts) into several fields and decrease the problem size; thus, we can respond to dynamically changed data any time. Through this solution, we can order components quickly, adjust schedules and planned quantity, and manage stocks reasonably. In addition, a prototype of the distributed MRP system is presented in this paper, in which ERP (enterprise resource planning) sever data is associated with an excel spreadsheet via MSsql. System user interface is implemented by a VBA (visual basic for applications) tool. According to a case study, response rate for delivery and planning achievement rate were enhanced about 20%, and inventory turnover was also decreased. Consequently, the proposed system improves overall profit.

        In order to manage essential parts that are required for the repairable parts services performed at the military maintenance depots, the United States Air Force developed the Repairability Forecasting Model (RFM). In the RFM, if the requirements of the parts are assumed to follow the normal probability distribution after applying means from the past data to the replacement rate and lead times, the chance of the AWP (Awaiting Parts) occurring is 50%. In this study, to counter the uncertainties of requirements and lead times from the RFM, the safety level concept is considered. To obtain the safety level for requirements, the binomial probability distribution is applied, while the safety level for lead time is obtained by applying the normal probability distribution. After adding this concept, the improved RFM is renamed as the ARFM (Advanced RFM), and by conducting the numerical stimulation, the effectiveness of the ARFM, minimizing the occurrence of the AWP, is shown by increasing the efficiency of the maintenance process and the operating rate of the weapon system.

        Component based design is perceived as a key technology for developing advanced real-time systems in a both cost- and time effective manner. Already today, component based design is seen to increase software productivity, by reducing the amount of effort needed to update and maintain systems, by packaging solutions for re-use, and easing distribution. Nowdays, a thousand and one companies in If(Information Technology) industry such as Sl(System Integration) and software development companies, regardless of scale of their projects, has spent their time and endeavor on developing reusable business logic. The component software is the outcome of software developers effort on overcoming this problem; the component software is the way propositioned for quick and easy implementation of software. In addition, there has been lots of investment on researching and developing the software development methodology and leading If companies has released new standard technologies to help with component development. For instance, COM(Component Object Model) and DCOM(Distribute COM) technology of Microsoft and EJB(Enterprise Java Beans) technology of Sun Microsystems has turned up. Component-Based Development (CBD) has not redeemed its promises of reuse and flexibility. Reuse is inhibited due to problems such as component retrieval, architectural mismatch, and application specificness. Component-based systems are flexible in the sense that components can be replaced and fine-tuned, but only under the assumption that the software architecture remains stable during the system's lifetime. In this paper, It suggest that systems composed of components should be generated from functional and nonfunctional requirements rather than being composed out of existing or newly developed components. about implements and accomplishes the modeling for the Product Control component development by applying CCD(Contract-Collaboration Diagram), one of component development methodology, to MRP(Material Requirement Planning) System

        Today, several manufacture enterprises are endeavoring constantly to receive order winners of subsidiary company product. There are tendencies to occupy competitive advantage in high position in price competition and in quality etc. But, it is not easy to keep it even if price has been cheap recently. Also, it is hard to be competitive advantage element more, because production smoothing was made much even if there is in quality. To keep or improve present competitive power, the due date rate is becoming importance. Several techniques with MRP, MRP II appeared in the 1970s by method to improve the these due date rate. These techniques have some defects to due date. Therefore, in this paper, MRP wishes to receive the due date rate that is improved more by supplementing having these defect by DBR of TOC.

        In Production system, there are two ; One is the JIT system, which was developed by the Toyota corporation : the other is the MRP system, which was developed in the United States. The JIT system has been proved its effectiveness for production management system by many industries, however the effectiveness of its application in non-repetitive productions is yet uncertain unlike the MRP system. There has been many efforts in comparing and analyzing the usefulness and the limitation of those production systems. Accordingly, this study has focused its simulation model using MRP and JIT.

The three systems have merits and demerits through comparing with each other. Because each system has mutual dependence, a hybrid production system is necessary for using their merits maximally. In this study, a hybrid production system is designed by combining GT, MRP and JIT, which is suitable in the domestic production system.
