        Social marketing is a discipline promoting voluntary behaviour change in target audience to effect societal and individual benefits by applying commercial marketing strategies. Considering the UNFCCC mechanisms are established to foster voluntary cooperation of parties of the Paris Agreement (2015) in achieving their emission reduction targets and adaptation goals, potential for social marketing playing a critical role in contributing to the context seems endless. The Climate Technology Center and Network (CTCN), established in 2013, is an operational arm of the Technology Mechanism (TM) introduced by the Conference of the Parties (COP) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. With the purpose of pursuing impactful mitigation and adaptation technology transfer based on global cooperation ontology, the CTCN supports technical assistance (TA) to developing countries on climate technology issues. Nevertheless, the participation rate of the domestic members in the CTCN TA project is low at 7 per cent. With this regard, little has known about what government support would benefit the Network members most, therefore, contributing to the global climate change issue. This research aims to respond to these calls. Three sequential studies outlining 4P strategy development were conducted. Study 1 conducted an online survey to identify pricing factors influencing participation of climate technology transfer business (RQ1). Study 2 tested four different types of government support program that will is most likely to encourage the Network member’s CTCN TA participation (RQ2). Study 3 pilot tested the most appropriate government support program, including a new communication strategy (RQ3). This research has taken climate technology experts’ perspectives in order to enhance the participation of 81 Korean Network members in climate technology projects. This paper contributes to applying the social marketing approach in expanding climate technology assistants globally, thereby purposefully bringing new theoretical and practical insights affecting the mitigation of carbon emissions and increasing the adaptation to climate-related disasters in developing countries.

        This paper presents a 1-DOF robot for hand rehabilitation exercises for hemiplegic patients. The robot provides the cylindrical grasp movement, which is one of the dominant Activities of Daily Living. Linkage Sliding Mechanism allows the proposed robot to be a simple and lightweight structure. Motion test for the healthy subjects are carried out to verify the performance of the robot. Consequently, it was confirmed that the proposed robot was suitable for performing hand rehabilitation treatment.

        본 연구에서는 철골모멘트골조의 보-힌지 붕괴모드를 유도하는 최적 내진설계기법을 제안한다. 이는 유전자알고리즘을 사용하며, 기둥의 소성힌지 발생을 억제하는 제약조건을 설정하여 보-힌지 붕괴모드를 유도한다. 제안하는 기법은 구조물량를 최소화하고 에너지소산능력을 최대화하는 목적함수를 사용한다. 제안하는 기법은 9층 철골모멘트골조 예제 적용을 통해 검증한다. 예제 적용을 통해 철골모멘트골조의 보-힌지 붕괴모드를 유도하기 위해 요구되는 기둥-보 강도비를 평가한다. 패널존에 대한 3가지 모델링 기법을 각각 적용하여 모델링 조건에 따른 휨강도비 영향이 추가적으로 검토된다.

        Pick-up truck has the advantage that can transport more baggage by the deck. However, it is inconvenient to put loads by a high ground clearance values. In this paper, we proposed a corresponding method to the high ground clearance using 4-bar linkage lift mechanism of tailgate. In addition, the validity of the lift mechanism through the prototype test is verified.

        Due to the increase of income, people has a car more than one per household. So parking space is needed to minimum size for making many parking spaces. But narrow parking space causes that interference with another car is occurred when car's door is opening or closing. So sliding door is best way for solving the problem. But sliding structure of the door is difficult to apply to all vehicle because existing sliding structure is limited. For this reason, new sliding structure of the door is needed. In this study, we suggest new sliding mechanism of front door for vehicle and confirm the sliding mechanism using a finite element analysis.

        This paper presents the design and automatic control methods employed to implement a open-close mechanism for a food compression processor. The automatic open-close mechanism is intended as a robust approach in compressing incoming food that posses a wide range of physical properties. The method is based on the estimation of compression pressure through current measurement. Test results show that the proposed mechanism effectively controls the compression pressure of the processed food which results in enhanced overall system robustness.

        공간구조의 지붕을 지지하는 기둥상단부에 탄소성기구를 설치하여 설계 하중을 초과하는 지진동이 가해졌을 때 이 기구의 탄소성 이력거동을 통하여 지진에너지가 흡수되는 효과를 검토한다. 이 효과로 지붕트러스로 전달되는 지진에너지가 저감되는 것을 입증하고 이러한 원리를 공간구조물의 제진설계에 활용할 수 있음을 입증한다. 트러스 형식의 지붕구조에 설계하중 이상의 외력이 가해지는 경우에는 구성부재의 좌굴파괴로 인한 건물전체의 취성붕괴가 예상되기 때문에 이러한 상황에서 구조안전성을 확보하는 설계법이 요망되며, 이 논문은 트러스 지붕에 전달되는 지진에너지를 감소시키는 설계방법을 제안하고 있다.

        This paper presents mechanical design and control of a bio-inspired legged robot. To achieve a fast legged running mechanism, a novel linkage leg structure is designed based on hind legs of domestic cats. The skeletomuscular system and parallel leg movement of a cat are analyzed and applied to determine the link parameters. The hierarchical control architecture is designed according to the biological data to generate and modulate desired gaits. The effectiveness of the leg mechanism design and control is verified experimentally. The legged robot runs at a speed of 46 km/h, which is comparatively higher speed than other existing legged robots.

        This paper proposes a hand-controller mechanism for manually controlled endoscopic surgical instruments. A wire-driven mechanism is typically adapted for endoscopic surgical tools because motors cannot be embedded to the joints due to the size limitation. The wire-driven mechanism requires length control of wires that are pulled and released according to the desired joint angle. It is difficult for the operator to control individual wire lengths intuitively. The hand-controller mechanism should be able to control the wires easily without complex processes. For this purpose, we propose a mechanism that can control the wire lengths with a simple mechanical structure and its optimal design method using genetic algorithm. We show the simulation and experimental results to confirm the proposed mechanism and design methods are useful for the manually controlled endoscopic surgical instrument.

        When problems occurred in the unstable and/or extreme terrain environment, formal field-driving robots were unable to provide any other options such as the transformation of the wheel and body structure, and so on. For such reason, this paper proposed a novel type of integrated wheel mechanism that can be operated as a conventional driving wheel mode and hybrid wheel-leg mode in order to be negotiated in an unstable terrain environment. The mechanical effect of the proposed variable wheel mechanism was analyzed considering the geometric constraint and power requirement of the actuator for the transformation. In addition, we designed and manufactured the prototype of field-driving robot, which reliably control the variable wheel shape. Finally, the effectiveness of the variable wheel mechanism was verified by preliminary experimental approach.

        본 연구는 개표방송 정보 디자인을 영화·드라마 패러디형과 인물수치형으로 분류하여 수용자 태도에 차이점이 있는지 알아보고, 정치효능감에 의해 조절효과가 있는지 분석하였다. 또한 수용자 태도가 정치참여의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 살펴보았다. 연구결과 영화·드라마 패러디형이 인물수치형보다 수용자 태도가 높게 나타났다. 정치효능감의 조절효과를 분석한 결과 정치효능감이 낮은 집단은 인물수치형 보다 영화·드라마 패러디형을 선호하는 것으로 나타났으며, 정치효능감이 높은 집단에서는 영화·드라마 패러디형과 인물수치형에 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 수용자 태도는 정치참여의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 수용자 태도가 높으면 정치참여의도가 높아진다는 것이다 이와 같이 개표방송 정보디자인은 정치효능감에 따라 수용자 태도가 다르게 나타난다는 점과 수용자 태도가 정치참여의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 결과들은 이론과 실무에 유용한 지침을 제공할 것이다.

        This paper presents a sensor-based cane mechanism for walking aid of the visually impaired person. We also describe an approach to decide properly the length of the specified cane mechanism. The cane mechanism has some sensors to identify the possibility of a collision between the cane user and an object and/or a person, and a signal processing unit that enables the user to recognize such a collision is attached in the mechanism. Thus, the walker using this cane can recognize in advance the possibility of such a collision in his walking process. Consequently, it is helpful for the visually impaired person to walk on a pedestrian road safely. The feature of the proposed cane mechanism and its availability have been shown through experimental works in a typical walking environment.

        Mobile Harbor (MH) is a new transportation platform that can load and unload containers onto and from very large container ships at sea. It could navigate near harbors where several vessels run, or it could navigate through very narrow channels. In the conceptual design phase when the candidate design changes frequently according to the various performance requirements, it is very expensive and time-consuming to carry out model tests using a large model in a large towing tank and a free-running model test in a large maneuvering basin. In this paper, a new Planar Motion Mechanism(PMM) test in a Circulating Water Channel (CWC) was conducted in order to determine the hydrodynamic coefficients of the MH. To do this, PMM devices including three-component load cells and inertia tare device were designed and manufactured, and various tests of the MH such as static drift test, pure sway test, pure yaw test, and drift-and-yaw combined test were carried out. Using those coefficients, course-keeping stability was analyzed. In addition, the PMM tests results carried out for the same KCS (KRISO container ship) were compared with our results in order to confirm the test validity.
