        Recently, considerable attention has been given to nickel-based superalloys used in additive manufacturing. However, additive manufacturing is limited by a slow build rate in obtaining optimal densities. In this study, optimal volumetric energy density (VED) was calculated using optimal process parameters of IN718 provided by additive manufacturing of laser powder-bed fusion. The laser power and scan speed were controlled using the same ratio to maintain the optimal VED and achieve a fast build rate. Cube samples were manufactured using seven process parameters, including an optimal process parameter. Analysis was conducted based on changes in density and melt-pool morphology. At a low laser power and scan speed, the energy applied to the powder bed was proportional to and not . At a high laser power and scan speed, a curved track was formed due to Plateau-Rayleigh instability. However, a wide melt-pool shape and continuous track were formed, which did not significantly affect the density. We were able to verify the validity of the VED formula and succeeded in achieving a 75% higher build rate than that of the optimal parameter, with a slight decrease in density and hardness.

        The RPV internal structure is a high radio activated part and has very complex geometry. Therefore, it needs to be cut remotely with an automated cutting system to minimize the worker exposures. To do so, we made up the remote laser cutting system with a laser cutter, robot manipulator and control software system and the laser cutter is moved by the robot manipulator based on the command from the control software system. A laser cutter is required to keep the desired standoff position between the nozzle of the laser cutter and surface of the cut target model to cut properly. Moreover, in the remote cutting process, an exact time and sequence control of the air supply and the laser emission is required for the cutting quality and the process safety. In this study, we proposed the PERT chart-based process execution and control methodology. The PERT chart is a graph which is represented by nodes and edges. The node of the PERT chart has the information about the activity details such as activity type, execution time and related device. Using the edge we make the sequence of the desired activity execution. A PERT chart of the cutting scenario is compiled in the control software system to creates data and thread structure to operate the physical device. We built software architecture to interpret and execute the PERT chart efficiently in the digital simulation platform which enables us to use existing pre-built simulation scenario for the laser cutting process. In addition, we have tested various laser cutting test cases in our test bed to verify the performance of our system. The test bed environment has the shape of the RPV internal structure and is placed under water.

        In this study, we intend to develop a control valve with oxidation resistance for hydrogen fluoride that can be applied to the semiconductor production process. Operated Valves currently in use is a form of assembling an air cylinder to the valve body. These valves generally have a cylinder body made of aluminum (Al), so they may corrode depending on the external environment, and the solution leaks along the rod inside the cylinder, causing damage to parts due to corrosion. To solve this problem, the valve plug shape was developed by devising and applying a plug using a valve different from the existing method, and it is possible to block the inflow of hydrogen fluoride into the valve control unit, thereby preventing damage to parts as well as maintaining stable valve operation.

        To remove phosphorus from the effluent of public wastewater treatment facilities, hundreds of enhanced phosphorus treatment processes have been introduced nationwide. However, these processes have a few problems including excessive maintenance cost and sludge production caused by inappropriate coagulant injection. Therefore, the optimal decision of coagulant dosage and automatic control of coagulant injection are essential. To overcome the drawbacks of conventional phosphorus removal processes, the integrated sedimentation and dissolved air flotation(SeDAF) process has been developed and a demonstration plant(capacity: 100 m3/d) has also been installed. In this study, various jar-tests(sedimentation and / or sedimentation·flotation) and multiple regression analyses have been performed. Particularly, we have highlighted the decision–making algorithms of optimal coagulant dosage to improve the applicability of the SeDAF process. As a result, the sedimentation jar-test could be a simple and reliable method for the decision of appropriate coagulant dosage in field condition of the SeDAF process. And, we have found that the SeDAF process can save 30 – 40% of coagulant dosage compared with conventional sedimentation processes to achieve total phosphorus (T-P) concentration below 0.2 mg/L of treated water, and it can also reduce same portion of sludge production.

        This study suggests a model of production information system that can reduce manufacturing lead time and uniformize quality by using DNC S/W as a part of constructing production information management system in the industrial field of the existing marine engine block manufacturing companies. Under the effect of development of this system, the NC machine interface device can be installed in the control computer to obtain the quality information of the workpiece in real time so that the time to inspect the process quality and verify the product defect information can be reduced by more than 70%. In addition, the reliability of quality information has been improved and the external credibility has been improved. It took 30 minutes for operator to obtain, analyze and manage the quality information when the existing USB memory is used, but the communication between the NC controller computer and the NC controller in real time was completed to analyze the workpiece within 10 seconds.

        Sludge transporting pipes in wastewater treatment plant are easy to be clogged with struvite when the digested sludge and dehydrated filtrate are transported through the pipes, which lowers the efficiency of sludge treatment system in a WWTP. pH is one of the most important factors in struvite formation, and carbon dioxide separated from biogas can be used to control pH and struvite formation. By controlling pH, the amount of dehydrating agent can be reduced by about 10%, which saves the budget for facility maintenance. As CO2 is reused and dehydrating chemicals are saved, the approach can contribute to global warming gas reduction.

        바이오파울링은 역삼투막 여과 공정에서 운전 성능을 저해하는 주요 원인이다. 이전 연구들은 분리막 표면에 발생하는 바이오파울링을 제어하기 위해서 화학적 세정제를 주입하는 방법을 주로 사용하였다. 화학적 세정제의 주입은 분리막의 손상뿐만 아니라 이차적으로 수계 오염을 발생시키기 때문에 주입 농도와 운영 방법에 주의가 요구된다. 이러한 문제를 극복하기 위해, 본 연구에서는 분리막 표면에 생물막 저해제를 고정하여 바이오파울링을 제어하는 연구를 수행하였다. 표면 고정화를 위한 방법으로 Layer-by-layer 기술을 적용하였고, 생물막저해제로 클로르헥시딘과 글루타알데하이드를 사용하였다. 막 표면의 생물막 저해제 고정화는 미생물의 부착 억제 및 사멸로 생물막 형성이 지연되어 운전 성능이 유지되는 효과를 나타냈다.

        In this study, we divided the process operation scenarios into three categories based on raw water temperature and turbidity. We will select and operate the process operation scenario according to the characteristics of the raw water. The number of algae in the DAF treated water has been analyzed to be less than 100 cells/mL. These results indicated that the DAF process is effective in removing the algae. In addition, the scenario of the integrated management decision algorithm of the DAF process was developed. DAF pilot plants (500 m3/day) process has shown a constantly sound performance for the treatment of raw water, yielding a significantly low level of turbidity (DAF treated water, 0.21~1.56 NTU).

        Reanalysis using the US Food and Drug Administration Hazard Analysis method was performed to evaluate the effectiveness of the current Critical Control Point (CCP) configuration for non-thermal processes such as meat packaging plants and butcher shops. During non-heat treatment processing without the process of removing or reducing contaminated microorganisms, it is necessary to set and control the incoming material inspection step with the CCP since this step is essential to prevent the inflow of contaminants through incoming materials. The temperature control of the final product storage refrigerated room can be managed by the prerequisite program. However, the CCP setting of the refrigerated room prior to shipment of the meat packaging plant in which the cold chain system should be maintained in the following distribution stage is recognized. It is not an effective method to install a metal detector and manage it with CCP for metal hazard control. Improving hygienic cleaning guidelines and enhancing hygiene training are proactive and effective measures against metal particle contamination.

Or focuses on applying a flow control method that utilizes inverters and automatic valves to sewage treatment process systems.This study proposes that sewage treatment process systems architects must acquire a certain degree of technical skills in the areas of electrical and mechanical controls in order to raise the standard of completeness of sewage treatment process systems. And further emphasizes that there is required continuous research on automatics valves that are used in sewage treatment.

        The train-centric control systems development has some distinct points in that a big size of government budget is in general expended in there and the development duration seems to be long. In addition, the changes are ever made continuously in the capability and operational requirements for Trains. Thus, the impact of the potential changes in the required operational capability on the development activities can induce some type of project risks [7]. As such, proper management of project risk has been one of crucial subjects in the train systems development. All these notes combined together make it the significance of the safety management process be raised further up in the train-centric control systems development. As such, the underlying safety management process should be capable of appropriately handling the potential risks that can be created due to the unexpected changes and the long-term development period. The process should also be complemented for the safety consideration of train-centric control systems, for instance, stop. To study these aspect is the objective of the paper. To do so, a step-by-step approach to analyzing the safety management process is first presented. Then, to enhance the process some necessary and useful activities are added in terms of risk and safety management. Then, to pursue some enhancement on the process, a set of necessary and useful activities are added in terms of risk and safety management. The resultant process is further analyzed and tailored using a design structure matrix method. The resultant process is applied in a train-centric control development as a case study.

        초고온가스로는 고온의 원자로 열을 이용하여 대량의 청정 수소와 고효율의 전기를 생산할 수 있는 제 4세대 원자로이다. 초고온가스로는 0.5mm 직경의 우라늄을 세라믹으로 3중 코딩해 직경 약 0.9mm의 TRISO라고 불리 는 피복입자를 사용한다. TRISO는 크기가 작을 뿐 아니라 특수 코팅 처리가 되어 있어 우라늄이 직접 공기 중 에 노출될 일이 없다. 핵연료 품질 유지 측면에서 TRISO 제작시 핵연료의 동일한 구형성, 밀도 및 피복층 두께 를 유지하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 X-선 래디오그래피 기술을 이용한 비파괴 방법을 적용하여 측정한 TRISO 피복입자의 피복층 두께 자료를 바탕으로 피복입자핵연료의 대량 제조 관리를 가정하였고, 이 경우 X-R 관리도를 이용하여 생산 공정의 공정 이상 여부를 시뮬레이션하였다.(한글초록 300자 내외)

        지난 몇 십년동안 전 세계적으로 제조기술 분야의 급속한 성장으로 대부분의 제조 업에서 눈부실만한 품질향상과 생산성 극대화를 이루어 왔다. 하지만 현재 제조기술 분야는 새로운 문제에 직면하고 있다. 실제 현장에서 관리하고자하는 품질특성은 정규 분포를 따르지 않는 경우가 많은데, 대부분의 통계적 공정관리기술체계가 정규분포를 기반으로 하고 있다는 것이다. 또한 기존의 불량률 관리도로는 PPM/PPB 수준의 극소 불량률을 관리하는데 한계가 있다. 이러한 이유로 비정규 공정에서 극소불량관리, 미 세변동관리에 대한 연구가 시급한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 비정규 공정에서 극소 불량률을 관리하기 위해서   통계량에 Burr 분포를 적용하는 방법을 제안하고자 한다.
