        If sewage flows for an extended time at low velocities, solids may be deposited in the sewer. Sufficient velocity or tractive force should be developed regularly to flush out any solids that may have been deposited during low flow periods. This study aims to evaluate the periods (T) during which sewage flow greater than the minimum tractive force maintains on a spot in sewer pipe system with lower tractive force or lower velocity than expected in the design step, when a storage tank installed in a place upsteam pours water into the sewer. The effect to T of design factors of storage tank and sewer pipes was evaluated assuming the uniform flow in sewers. When the area of orifice in the storage tank is 0.062 ㎡(or 0.28 m diameter), the maximum T of 31sec was maintained using the usually used preset range of values of several design factors. As the horizontal cross section of storage tank and water depth of storage tank and roughness in sewers increase, T linearly increases. Also, T linearly decreases as the diameter of a sewer pipe increases. Although T gradually decreases as the sewer pipe slope decreases to around 0.005, T decreases sharply when the slope is less than 0.003.

        목적 : 본 연구는 ADHD 아동 및 청소년을 대상으로 한 실행기능 향상을 위한 중재특성과 동향을 체계적으로 분석함으로써 그 근거를 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법 : 전자 데이터베이스인 Proquest, Scopus, Pubmed 데이터베이스를 사용하여 국외 학술지에 2009년 1월부터 2018년 4월까지 게재된 문헌을 수집하였다. 검색어는 “ADHD” AND “Executive function” AND “intervention OR therapy OR effect OR occupational therapy” AND “RCT OR Randomized control trial”를 사용하였다. 최종적으로 13편의 논문을 본 연구의 분석대상으로 선정하였다. 결과 : 선정된 연구는 연구의 질적 수준, 일반적 특성, 중재종류, 종속변인으로 측정된 실행 기능영역, 측정도구, 중재효과 영역 중심으로 분석하였다. 실행기능에 대한 중재는 인지적 중재를 한 연구가 10편, 신체적 중재를 한 연구가 3편이었으며, 종속변인으로 많이 사용된 실행기능 영역은 작업기억이었다. 각 영역별 측정도구는 매우 다양하게 나타났는데 대표적으로 많이 사용하는 도구로는 Behaviour Rating Inventory of Executive Function(BRIEF), Trail Making Test(TMT)가 있었다. 실행기능의 효과를 나타낸 중재결과의 영역은 작업기억 영역이 7편으로 가장 많았다. 결론 : 본 연구를 통해 ADHD 아동ᆞ과 청소년의 실행기능 중재에 대한 동향 및 다양한 중재법, 평가도구와 중재효과 영역에 대해 알 수 있었다. 이는 작업치료사에게 임상적 근거를 제공하고자 하였으며, 추후에는 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 ADHD 아동ᆞ과 청소년의 실행기능에 관련된 평가도구 및 중재와 관련된 다양한 연구들이 활발하게 이루어져야 할 것이다.

        This study aims to confirm the appropriateness of fruit and vegetable sales at military commissaries, with the purpose of enhancing the physical health and morale of military personnel. In order to achieve this objective, we examined the actual conditions of fruit and vegetable sales at military commissaries and analyzed the soldiers’ awareness of fruit and vegetable sales through questionnaire surveys. The conclusions of this study are as follows: Firstly, fresh fruits and vegetables were not sold at military commissaries. Secondly, soldiers acknowledged the need for the consumption of fruits and vegetables and strongly expressed the desire for these fresh food products to be sold at military commissaries. Although the ROK Navy privatized military commissaries for the purposes of increasing management efficiency of national defense and strengthening combat power by transferring PX salesclerk soldiers to join combat personnel, this effort produced a negative effect of price increase. The following are proposals for improving this condition: fruit and vegetable products should be introduced to military commissaries through military welfare funds; fresh food markets should be established by closely cooperating with the local community’s agricultural producers; processed fruit and vegetable product (dry, frozen, airtight packaged, etc.) sales should be increased; and the privatization of the navy commissaries should be abolished.

        본 연구는 시계제한으로 인한 선박 출항통제 해제 후 교통량이 폭주하는 것을 예방하기 위해 현 선박통제규정을 개선하고자 하였다. 평상시의 교통량과 출항통제 해제 후의 교통량를 분석하기 위해 AIS 데이터를 수집하였다. 출항통제 유무에 따른 피크시간 교통량의 차이를 확인하기 위하여 통계검정을 실시하였다. 연구결과 1만톤 미만 그룹에서는 t-test를 실시한 결과, 유의미한 교통량의 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 1만톤 이상 그룹에서는 Mann-Whitney test 결과, 선박 통제 유무에 따른 교통량의 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 출항통제 해제 후 1만톤 미만의 중소형 선박들은 평상시 보다 교통량이 142% 증가하여 1만톤 이상 대형선박과 동시에 출항하게 됨에 따라 교통 폭주를 야기한 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 교통량 폭주에 따른 선박 충돌사고 개연성을 미연에 방지하고자 현 규정을 길이 160 m 미만 또는 총톤수 1만톤 미만의 선박은 항해 가능하도록 개선할 것을 제언하였다.

        Light Mineral Oil is a material generally used as an overlay covering microdrops of culture medium in petri dishes. Although Light Mineral Oil can protect the damage by oxidation in air, it can't completely protect the damage by evaporation and alteration of pH and osmolality in culture medium. To minimize the damage by evaporation and alteration of pH and osmolality, we assumed that Heavy Mineral Oil could be used as an alternative. Heavy Mineral Oil is high purity paraffin oil which has more viscosity and density than Light Mineral Oil, so it can prevent evaporation and maintain stable osmolality and pH in culture medium more than Light Mineral Oil. The objective of this study was to examine whether the effect of Heavy Mineral Oil is superior to the effect of Light Mineral Oil during in vitro cultivation of porcine oocytes. According to the data of repeated six experiments, survival and cleavage rate of porcine oocytes, and cell number of blastocysts were not significantly different between two groups. However, the in vitro development rate of porcine parthenogenetic embryo was significantly higher in Heavy Mineral Oil group than in Light Mineral Oil group (Light, 36.6% ± 3.9%; and Heavy, 52.1% ± 6.4%, p < 0.05). Thus, these results indicated that the treatment of Heavy Mineral Oil can improve the in vitro developmental capacity of porcine parthenogenetic embryos compared to Light Mineral Oil.

        The purpose of this study is to conduct a basic research for the development of a program, PEP-NKMF (Parents Empowerment Program in North Korea Migrant Family). A total of 20 teenager North Korean defectors from an S school in Seoul city and five North Korean defector teachers at this school were surveyed through questionnaires and in-depth interviews from March 6 to 31, 2017. The results were analyzed using Nvivo 11.0, which is a representative method of qualitative analysis for forming nodes by tree structure. The results showed that the teenage North Korean defectors requested the family relationship competence, adaptation, interest and love from their parents. North Korean defector teachers requested the transformation of the value and the practical love. This study is meaningful in that the essential requirements of the parental competence building program, which is to be provided to North Korean defector parents, are analyzed based not on theories but on teenage North Korean defectors and North Korean defector teachers.

        연구는 에니어그램을 활용한 교사코칭프로그램이 보육교사의 직무수행능력 증진에 효과가 있는지를 알아봄으로써 보육교사가 자기인식을 높여 직무수행 능력을 증진시키고, 보육교사로서 자기개발을 할 수 있는 새로운 교사교육프로그램 개발을 위한 기초 자료로 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구의 대상은 충남에 위치한 어린이집 보육교사 40명이며 비전에니어 교사 코칭프로그램에 참여한 20명을 실험집단과, 프로그램에 참여하지 않은 보육교사 20명을 통제 집단으로 하여 프로그램 효과를 검증하고 분석하였다. 연구 대상 모두에게 직무수행태도, 직무 수행능력, 직무수행개발능력에 대한 사전검사를 실시하였다. 사전검사를 마친 후 에니어그램을 활용한 교사코칭프로그램을 실험집단에게 적용하였다. 연구 결과 에니어그램을 활용한 교사코칭프로그램은 보육교사의 직무수행태도(p<.05), 직무수행능력(p<.01), 직무수행개발능력 (p<.01)에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

        In this study, We studied design method to reduce scattering reflection by adding a three - dimensional structure to light guide plate of LED backlight widely used in small and portable devices. In order to improve the efficiency of the light-incident part, a three-dimensional structure is used in which a repetitive structure of a prism shape and a semi-cylindrical shape is repeatedly added to the light-entering face in light-guide plate. As a result of the study, it was found that uniform luminance values were obtained in the light-incident portion and the backlight when a repetitive pattern of a semi-cylindrical shape was added as compared with a case in which a prism shape was added. Particularly, when a rectangular lens with a semi-cylindrical shape is added, the average value of the total luminance is increased by about 15% from 7278 lm to 8324 lm as compared with a general light guide plate.

        Introduction A private label (PL) is defined as a brand owned, sold and distinguished by retailers (Lincoln & Thomassen, 2009). Therefore, most PLs display only their brand name on their product labels or packages. However, in the Japanese consumer goods market, an increasing number of manufacturers’ names are now being displayed on PL product packages. For example, the “Seven Premium” PL, by Seven & I Holdings, displays the manufacturer’s name on its product labels using the phrase “This product is a joint development product with manufacturer X.” This indicates that retailers are utilizing the brand of the national brand (NB). This type of branding strategy can be classified as co-branding or a brand alliance. In Japan, expansion of PL co-branding may have improved consumers’ attitudes toward PLs and contributed to their development. Theoretical Background Most prior research on co-branding has focused on brand alliances between two NBs. Therefore, studies on alliances between PLs and NBs are very limited. Vaidyanathan and Aggarwal (2000) focused on ingredient branding, which merged elements of PLs with NB ingredients. Based on the combination theory (Park, Jun, & Shocker 1996), attitude accessibility theory (Fazio, 1986), and attribution theory (Heider, 1958; Kelly, 1973), they found that the association of brand name ingredients with private brand products could positively impact consumers’ evaluations of unfamiliar products. Also, the use of a brand name ingredient in a PL did not negatively affect consumers’ evaluations of this product. Arnett, Laverie, and Wilcox (2010) focused on brand alliances of retailers and manufacturers in the clothing category. Based on the attitude accessibility theory and the information integration theory (Anderson, 1971; Smith, 1993), they found that consumers’ attitudes toward alliances can influence retailer equity, manufacturer brand equity, and shopping intentions. They also found that pre-alliance retailer equity significantly affects attitudes toward alliances. Except for post-alliance retailer equity, perceived fit moderates all relationships between consumers’ attitudes toward the outcome of an alliance. Prior research on co-branding indicates that the attitudes and attributes of co-brands are influenced by the attitudes and attributes of constituent brands. In addition, a constituent brand’s familiarity moderates the effect (Park et al., 1996; Simonin & Ruth, 1998). As another notable finding, attitudes about co-brands influence constituent brand attitudes, with the effect being moderated by brand familiarity (Simonin & Ruth, 1998). Based on prior findings, this study examines whether co-branded PLs are influenced by their constituent NBs and by the familiarity of constituent brands in the case of Japanese co-branded PLs. This study also examines whether a spillover effect exists for constituent brands. Methodology An Internet survey of 798 women living in the Greater Tokyo area was conducted in August 2017. Subjects were assigned to one of four groups, grouped by PL and NB brand familiarity (Figure 1). The familiar “salad dressing” category was selected. While this category includes several large and popular manufacturers, many small, unknown manufacturers also exist within it, a fact that is relevant to the purpose of this study. High-familiarity PLs and NBs were selected based on their market shares in the category. However, Seven Premium, the most popular PL in Japan, was not selected as it had already adopted a co-branding strategy. Aeon’s Topvalu was chosen as a high-familiarity PL. While Topvalu is one of the most popular PLs in Japan, it has not yet taken a co-branding strategy. All measures were assessed through a seven-point, semantic, differential scale. Attitudes toward constituent brands (PLs and NBs), co-brands, perceived quality of constituent brands, and brand familiarity of constituent brands were measured. Using covariance structure analysis, we examined factors influencing attitudes about co-branding and the spillover to constituent brands after considering co-branded formations. Regarding familiarity, a multi-group analysis was conducted. Results Attitudes toward constituent brands (PLs and NBs) positively influenced attitude toward co-branded PLs. In addition, the influence on the co-branded PLs was greater for PLs (Table 1). From the multi-group analysis, the influence of familiarity on the attitude toward co-branded PLs can be found in some cases (Table 2). In the case of high-familiarity PLs with high-familiarity NBs (Group 1), the attitudes about co-branding by NBs were not significant. On the other hand, a positive co-branding attitude by NB was found in other cases. In cases of low-familiarity PLs with low-familiarity NBs (Group 4), the co-brand’s influence was greater for NBs. Moreover, since the attitude toward co-branding positively influenced differences of attitude between post-alliance and pre-alliance toward PLs and NBs, the spillover effect is confirmed (Table 3). Discussion Our results, which suggest that co-branding with NBs can be an effective strategy if PLs have low familiarity, are consistent with prior research. PLs in Japan, which have a lower penetration ratio than those in Europe and the United States, are still in a developmental stage (Kumar & Steenkamp, 2007). Since PLs in Japan are less familiar than leading NBs, co-branding with an NB can be an effective strategy for a PL. On the other hand, when a PL is already established as a brand and has high familiarity, co-branding with a NB might have little effect. In this case, it might be necessary to devise a different strategy, such as changing a PL’s brand name. Seven Premium, the most popular PL in Japan, was introduced in 2007. From the beginning, when its brand had low familiarity, it opted for a co-branding strategy, and our findings suggest that this decision significantly improved overall attitudes toward PLs.

        Introduction Recent years have witnessed a rapid growth in peer to peer (P2P) sharing-service businesses such as Uber and Airbnb. In P2P sharing-service businesses, goods or services are provided by customers (peers) rather than by service firms, who act simply as an intermediary between customers. One customer acts as a service-providing customer (SPC), and the other as a service-receiving customer (SRC). P2P sharing-service firms have no direct control over an SPC’s quality of service provided to an SRC. Further, both SPCs and SRCs are customers to the firm, and therefore firms are concerned with the quality of service provided not only to SRCs but also to SPCs. In the P2P sharing-service context, particularly in the case of services serving the needs of diverse travelers (e.g., Uber or Airbnb), SPCs and SRCs can be people of different genders and races, which can cause them to feel socially distant from each other. Since SPCs are not professional service employees, they may not know how to cope with the social distance, which can result in uncomfortable service experience for both SPCs and SRCs. The more similar to the SPC an SRC feels, the more comfortable the SRC is likely to feel, which can lead to higher service satisfaction. Yet, few studies examined how such social distance can be reduced. This study is intended to fill this gap in the research. Specifically, we propose that an SPC’s form of address for SRC can moderate the effect of the incongruence in gender and race on an SRC’s perceived social distance. Theoretical Development Social distance refers to the level of acceptance people have of others outside of their own social group or class (Bogardus, 1928). It is a measure of perceived difference (or distance) between groups. In the context of the P2P sharing service, SRCs and SPCs can be from diverse social groups. When an SRC encounters an SPC from a social group that is different from theirs, the SRC can feel socially distant from the SPC. Immediate differences an SRC can identify upon meeting an SPC is demographic such as gender, age and race. In this study, we first propose that the difference (incongruence) in gender, age and race makes an SRC feel socially distant from an SPC. Social distance is closely related with similarity (Osbeck & Moghaddam, 1997; Liviatan, Trope & Liberman, 2009). In the context of mentoring, the higher the perceived and actual similarity a portage feels with a mentor, the higher the level of the portage liking and satisfaction for the mentor and with the mentoring service (Ensher, 1997). Matching gender and race between a mentor and a portage positively influenced self-reported grade point average, efficacy and confidence of a portage (Blake-Beard et al. 2011). Race was well demonstrated to influence social distance (Triandis & Triandis, 1960). Taken together, we conjecture that the effect of the difference in gender and race on social distance will apply to the P2P sharing service context and propose the following hypothesis: H1: The incongruence in gender and race between an SRC and an SPC will make SRCs feel more socially distant from SPCs compared to the case of congruence. We propose in this study that the form of address for SRCs by SPCs can influence the level of social distance SRCs feel because of the incongruence in gender and race. The relationship between forms of address and social distance has been proposed (Brown, 1965). Intimate terms of address is associated with intimate relationship. Intimate terms of address is inversely proportional to social distance (Keshavarz, 2001). Calling someone by the first name is related with friendliness (Brown, 1961). The use of first name is positively associated with closeness in relationship (Brown, 1965). An empirical study in the healthcare context showed that most patients preferred to be addressed by the first name (as opposed to last name) (Gillette, Filak & Thorne, 1984). Taken together, we propose the following: H2: Intimate forms of address by the SPC for the SRC will reduce the level of social distance caused by the incongruence in gender and race. We propose that the level of perceived social distance influences the level of comfort SRCs feel with the SPC during the service delivery. The negative effect of social distance on the level of interaction comfort has been shown (Paswan & Ganesh, 2005). In the context of service encounters where customers feel cultural differences, psychological distance was shown to influence comfort negatively (Weiermair, 2000). Since social distance is a dimension of psychological distance (Trope & Liberman, 2011), we propose the effect of social distance on comfort as following: H3: Reduced social distance will lead to a higher level of comfort. The effect of social distance on comfort can vary by customers. In this study, we propose that the effect is moderated by the customer’s motive for the purchase of the P2P sharing service. There are largely four movies for customers who participate in collective consumptions (i.e., sharing service): economic motive, social motive, hedonic motive, and the motive to reduce risks and responsibilities (Benoit, Baker, Bolton, Gruner & Kandampully, 2017). Economic motives are associated with reducing expenses, and social motives are with meeting other people (e.g. more authentic travel) (Benoit et al., 2017). Hedonic motives are related with “accessing products that are exciting or normally out of reach” while motives to reduce risks and responsibilities are related with “no burdens of ownership, option to preview a product for potential purchase” (Benoit et al., 2017). According to a research in the context of P2P accommodations, cost saving, familiarity, trust, and utility are determinants of satisfaction with a sharing option. Thus, we propose that customer motives moderate the effect of social distance on comfort (Möhlmann, 2015). H4: The effect of social distance on comfort vary by customer motives for purchase. When feeling comfortable, people are more likely to trust, feel satisfied, and commit themselves, which can help improve relationship (Spake, Beatty, Brockman & Crutchfield. 2003). Comfort positively influences perceived service quality and satisfaction (Dabholkar, Shepherd & Thorpe, 2000). Comfort influences satisfaction positively (Paswan & Ganesh, 2005). In the P2P sharing-service context, SRCs’ evaluation of SPCs are carried out by reviews. Customer reviews of SPCs’ services are vitally important for both SRCs and SPCs. Reviews help other SRCs to identify desirable SPCs (Ert, Fleischer & Magen, 2016) and SPCs to receive feedback for their service quality improvement. Therefore, we propose the following: H5: Comfort leads to SRC’s intention to write good reviews. Data Collection Data will be collected from American consumers who have used Uber at least once in the past one year through an online scenario-based survey using a 2 (genders: male vs. female) x 3 (races: white vs. yellow vs. black) x 3 (forms of address: no address vs. first name vs. last name) between-subject experimental design. Hypotheses will be tested by an analysis of variance and a structural equation modeling analysis. In the analyses, the potential effects of trust, familiarity, community belonging, utility (Möhlmann, 2015) and age will be controlled. Implications Findings of this study will reveal the importance of reducing social distance that SRCs feel during encounters with SPCs. Of many possible ways to reduce social distance between SRCs and SPCs, the result of this study will show that SPCs’ use of appropriate form of address to SRCs is effective. Further, it will show that the effect of social distance on customer comfort can vary by the purpose of the use of the sharing service. These findings will offer P2P service firms insights on how to help SPCs offer more comfortable services to SRCs and as a result receive positive reviews from SRCs.

        낙동강 유역에 조성된 신규습지에서 서식환경에 대한 어류의 분포 특성을 평가하고, 이를 기반으로 한 관리방안 도출을 위해 42개 습지에서 환경요인의 측정과 어류 조사를 시행하였다. 조사 기간 동안 총 30종의 어류가 출현하였으며, 이 중에서 배스(Micropterus salmoides)와 블루길(Lepomis macrochirus)과 같은 외래어종의 비율이 상대적으로 높았다. 특히, 밀어(Rhinogobius brunneus)나 끄리(Opsariichthys uncirostris amurensis), 피라미(Zacco platypus) 등의 어류는 흐름이 있는 환경을 선호하기 때문에 배스가 우점하는 습지(정체수역)에서 상대적으로 낮은 밀도를 가지는 것으로 사료된다. SOM (Self-Organizing Map)을 활용한 패턴분석 결과, 각 습지의 서식환경 특성에 따라 어류 종의 출현빈도가 상이한 것으로 분석되었다. 어류 종의 분포는 각 습지의 수심 변화와 수생식물 피도에 민감하게 영향 받는 것으로 나타났으며, 수온이나 pH, 용존산소 등의 이화학적 요인 변화에 대한 영향은 적었다. 특히 수생식물의 피도는 어류의 종다양성이나 밀도에 강한 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었으며, 수변식생이 부족한 습지에서는 어류가 적은 풍부도와 다양성을 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 기반으로 평가할 때 어류 등의 생물다양성 증진을 위해 호안사면의 높은 인공성이나 수변식생의 부족한 습지 등은 개선이 필요할 것으로 사료되며, 건강성 확보를 위한 지속가능한 관리방안이 마련되어야 할 것으로 판단된다.

        The ride quality (i.e. smoothness) is a key factor for evaluating the construction quality of expressway asphalt pavement. Conventionally, three paving devices are widely used to control the surface layer thickness: leveling sensor (i.e. LS), short-range-surfacing-contact-ski (i.e. SSCS) and long-range-surfacing-contact-ski (i.e. LSCS). However, each of these levelling tools presents one major drawback. In the case of LS, if the original sub-layer evenness is poor, the final asphalt pavement surface and its smoothness will be negatively affected. The SSCS cannot assure satisfactory smoothness when relatively long paving section (in the order of 10 km) are paved. While the LSCS would reduce the drawback of the SSCS, its weight on the one hand and its length on the other discourage its use in the paving site especially for curved sections. In this paper, a next generation pavement smoothness leveling equipment, known as non-contact-digital-ski (i.e. NCDS) was implemented, evaluated and compared to the conventional equipment leveling device. The international Roughness Index (IRI m/km) was measured on sections paved with and without NCDS and the results visually and statistically compared. In addition, for the same sections, the modulus of the pavement layers was computed and compared by means of Falling Weight Deflectometer (i.e. FWD). It was observed that when NCDS is used for asphalt pavement overlay of existing concrete pavement, significant improvement in IRI (i.e. IRI<1.0m/km) and consistently uniform elastic modulus could be achieved compared to the conventional levelling and paving method.

        Rice husk, in large quantities, is released to the environment due to rice production in Vietnam. If this material can be utilized, it can solve not only the economic issues but also the environmental problems and sustainable development of the country. Laboratory evaluation of asphalt mixture using Nano silica made from rice husk to improve rutting resistance of asphalt mixtures was presented in this study. A 60/70 bitumen was used as control asphalt binder. The ratio of Nano SIO2 used in this study was 0.3%, 0,6%, 0,9%, 1,2%, and 1,5% by weight of powder. A dense gradation with nominal maximum aggregate size of 12.5mm was used for the asphalt mixtures. Marshall stability (MS) test and wheel tracking (WT) test were conducted to evaluate the rutting resistance of asphalt mixtures. It was found that the asphalt mixtures using 0.5%, 1.0%, and 1.5% Nano SIO2 have the rut depths of 5.35mm, 5.39mm, and 5.45mm, respectively, which is 30%, 31% and 29% lower than the control asphalt mixtures at 15,000 load cycles. Moreover, the static modulus of asphalt mixtures using 0.9% Nano SIO2 at 60oC is higher than the control mixtures. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the addition of Nano SIO2 into asphalt mixtures can enhance the rutting performance of asphalt concrete under high temperatures significantly. It is noted that these conclusions were based on only on a limited number of samples and conditions. Further studies must be conducted to investigate the effect of Nano SIO2 on fatigue cracking and moisture damage of asphalt pavement in the field.
