The purpose of this study is to develop the training programme for VTS operators in Korea. The methodology used are literature and questionnaire survey. The literature, proceedings of international symposia and letters from Canada, USA, Japan and other countries were properly used and analyzed in order to compare their contents. Through the results of this study, I proposed the basic training programme for VTS operators in Korea as followings. First, the number and level of Korean VTS should be properly decided. Second, the training organization and staff should be built and appointed. Third, the VTS trainee should selected, and the training level & period should be established according to their qualification and experience. Fourth, the training should be acted by the VTS training curriculum. Fifth, The VTS operator certificate should be issued through proper test. This paper concluded as followings through the analysis of the questionnaire regarding to VTS training programme in Korea. First, the proposed curriculum were properly constructed and the independence among them was existed through the reliability and correlation analysis. Second, the difference of the curriculum importance among the questionnaire group was nearly not found through the Analysis of Variance(ANOVA). Third, the required days per each curriculum was limited to maximum 5days.
In this paper, the basic planning for the creation of consolidated agricultural institutions of Choongcheongnam -Do and its management schemes were established. These institutions, including rural development office, farmers'training institution, original seeding field of farm crops, agriculturial information center, packing design center, agricultural machinery repair center, agricultural scientific conference hall, agricultural museum, agricultural park, farmers'hall and event plaza, are planned to be created. The required area for the site is 1,246,781 m2. 281-22 Jongkyung-Ri, Sinam-Myun, Yesan-Gun, Choongcheongnam-Do and its surroundings is a proper site for the creation of'consolidated agricultural institution because the actual conditions of the soil, traffic network, irrigation and drainage, tourist routes and human resources are very good. The layout of the facilities that would comprise an agricultural institution was organized in consideration of the functions and roles of each facility and the relationships among facilities in this consolidated agricultural institution. It is desirable that the headquaters of consolidated agricultural institution oversees the management department, the planning . administration . information department, the rural development office, the farmers'training institution, the original seeding field of farm crops and the agricultural park.
To convert the analog signal from the drying process into the digital signal, the interface circuit was designed and built. To measure the weight and temperature during drying process, strain gauge type load cell and temperature transducer composed of pt 100 thermometers and wheatstone bridge circuits were built and used. The temperature control device was composed of photocoupler and triac. Microcomputer aided experimental convective drying system was built with above cricuits and devices. Drying characteristics of onions can be estimated using this system.
Since the middle of 1950's when sea transportation service by container ship was established, containerization has been rapidly spread over the world with realization of intermodalism, and becomes an index of economy growth of a country. Our country has established Pusan Container Terminal at Pusan harbour in 1978 in step with worldwide trend of containerization, and is constructing New Container Terminal at Pusan outharbour which will be completed in 1990. This paper aims to make a quantitative analysis of the Pusan Container Terminal system through the computer simulation, especially focusing on its subsystems such as ship stevedoring system, storage system and transfer system. First, the capacity of various subsystems are evaluated and it is checked whether the current operation is being performed effectively through the computer simulation. Secondly, the suggestion is presented to improve the operation by considering the throughput that Pusan Container Terminal will have to accept until 1990, when New Container Terminal will be completed. The results are as follows ; 1) As the inefficiency is due to the imbalance between various subsystems at Pusan Container Terminal on the basis of about 1.2 million TEU of container traffic, transfer equipment level must be up to 33% for transfer crane, and free period must be reduced into 4/5 days for export/import. 2) On the basis of about 1.4 million TEU of container traffic, transfer equipment level must be up to 12% for gantry crane, 11% for straddle carrier and 66% for transfer crane, and free period must be reduced into 3/4 days for export/import. 3) On the basis of about 1.7 million TEU of container traffic, transfer equipment level must be up to 25% for gantry crane, 28% for straddle carrier and 100% for transfer crane, and free period must be reduced into 3/4 days for export/import. 4) On the basis of about 2 million TEU of container traffic, transfer equipment level must be up to 25% for gantry crane, 30% for straddle carrier and 110% for transfer crane, and free period must be reduced into 2/3 days for export/import, and it is necessary to enlarge storage yard.
이상과 같은 연구의 실행 결과 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 1. 과학 클럽 조직 운영은 그 조직 방법과 절차를 이해하고 기초 조사를 비롯한 제반 자료를 정비하여 아동 중심 체제로 전환하고 입부 지도 등 교사의 치밀한 연구와 사전 지도가 충실히 이루어졌을때 클럽 활동의 목적에 맞고 과학 클럽의 자율성이 신장되며 과학 특기아나 우수아들에 대한 지도가 가능하게 된다.
Since the middle of 1950's, containerization has been rapidly spread over the world in virtue of great merits providing to interensts, and the fundamental changes in port management and prot operations are resulted. As the container terminal is a complex system which is consisted of various subsystems, the treatment for improving the productivity is required in a comprehensive fashion, both in each of its parts and as an integrated system. This paper aims to make an intensive analysis of the Busan Container Terminal system, especially focusing on its subsystems such as ship operation system, storage system and transfer system. First of all, the intrinsic capacity of various subsystems is calculated and it is checked whether the current operation is being performed effectively through the formal analysis. Secondly, the suggestion is presented to improve the operation by considering the throughput that the port of Busan will have to accept in the near future. The results are as follows; 1) As the inefficiency is due to the imbalance between various subsystems at Busan terminal, transfer equipment level must be up to 31% for straddle carrier and 67% transfer crane above all. 2) The yard capacity must be increased by reducing the free dwell time of containers in order to accept the traffic volume smoothly in the near future. 3) The better way to reduce the port congestion is to change berthing rule from the FIFP to the Pre-allocated system by considering the ship arrival pattern.
A lot of studies of ship's economy are on the traditional fields such asreducing propulsion resistance, raising cargo handling rates and lessening building consts, but there are few researches on the merchant ship's economy concerning their deadweights and speeds according to shipping companies managerial cercumstances. Contrary to the contemporary trend that "the bigger, the better, if the cargo handling rate could increased sufficiently to hold down port time to that rate of smmaler vessels", this paper demonstrates the existence of certain limits in ship's size and speed according to the coditions of the freight rates, voyage distances, cargo handing rates, prices of fuel oil, interst rates etc. Fom the curves of criteria contour for various ship's deadweights and speeds which are depicted from the gird search method, one can get the costs and the yearly profit rates under the conditiions of large volume with long term contracts for the transportation of bulk cargoes. In estimating ship's transportation economy, the auther takes the position that the profit rate method is properer than the cost method, and introduces the calculation table of the voyage profit rate index. The use of the criteria contours will be of help to ship owners in determining the size and speed of the ship which will be built or purchased and serve in a certain trade route.
