        The purpose of this study is to define the concept of Hilly/Mountainous and Less-Favored Areas from the viewpoint of agricultural infrastructure, and to establish selection criteria and categorize of that areas. Using three type guidelines which were the rates of forest(above 50%), farmhouse population(above 50%) and infrastructure improvement(below 50%), the regions of 605 Eup Myon were selected to Hilly/Mountainous and Less-Favored Area. And for applying to regional development planning, the legions of eup myon were classified 4 types using average of the rate of forest and aged farmhouse population(75%, 17.5%). To conserve the farmland in Hilly/Mountainous and Less-Favored Areas, it requires continuous research on systematic approach method. Especially, it is necessary to investigate a development formula according to farmland scale and desolated degree through analysis of the actual condition of farmland.

        This study intends to classify and analyze the problem of rural villages on the basis of existing ecological and cultural resources. Based on the results of this study, rural villages in Korea can be divided into 4 types - (1) the village abundant in both ecological and cultural resources, (2) the village abundant in only ecological resources, (3) the village abundant in only cultural resources and (4) the village insufficient in two resources. And further, this study found that most ecological resources in rural villages are deteriorated or deteriorating. Even worse, the cultural resources are diminished or diminishing. It is suggested that the ecological and cultural resources need to be taken into account in the process of rural village planning.

        벼-자운영의 연속재배체계 확립을 통해 자운영을 지속적으로 이용하고자 기계이앙 및 직파 파종시기와 재배양식을 달리하여 시험한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 자운영의 식물체 무기성분함량은 T-N이 2.92%, P2 O5가 0.74%, K2 O가 4.28%로 ㏊당 30 ton정도의 녹비가 생산되면 벼 재배시 인산을 제외하고는 표준시비량 이상에 해당되었다. 2. 자운영 녹비의 포장 잔존율은 초기 1주일 이내에 급격히 떨어져 토양에 환원되었고, 무기성분의 잔존율도 같은 경향이었다. 질소성분에 비해 인산과 가리성분의 환원정도가 더 빨랐고, 심토에 비해 표토에서 낮은 결과를 보였다. 3. 무경운 직파재배에서는 5월 25일 이후 파종할 경우 파종 시기에 관계없이 벼 수확후 자연적인 자운영 재입모로 다음해 피복이 가능하였다. 4. 무경운이앙은 자운영의 지상부 예취 없이는 벼 이앙이 불가능하여 농가활용이 곤란하였고, 경운이앙은 5월 25일 이앙시 벼 수확후 자운영의 자연적인 입모가 극히 불량한 반면, 6월 4일 경운후 이앙시 벼의 충분한 생육과 수량이 확보되고 운영의 자연적인 재입모로 다음해에도 자운영 조성이 가능하였다. 5. 자운영포장에 벼 이앙시 결주율은 경운에 비해 무경운에서 높았고 이앙심도도 무경운이앙시 예취된 자운성 때문에 얕아 도복이 우려되었다. 6. 자운영 후작 포장의 벼 수량은 무경운직파의 경우 입모가 불량하여 수량이 낮았으나, 경운이앙의 경우 자운생이 재배되지 않은 대조구에 비해 4~6% 증수되었다.

        The Cretaceous granite, andesite and sedimentary rocks are widely distributed in the northern Pusan area. The present study investigates mineralogical and geochemical charateristics of residual and cultivated soils derived from these rocks. The soils of granite area contain a large amount of quartz relative to clay minerals, whereas the soils of the andesite area contain more clay minerals than quartz. Clay minerals consist mainly of kaolin minerals illite hydroxy interlayered vermiculite interstratified mica/vermiculite and chlorite. Kaolin minerals are abundant in paddy soils while illite is abundant in less weathered soils. Si and K are major elements in the soils of granite area while Fe and Al in the soils of andesite area. In all the soils Ca, Mg and Na were generally depleted in comparison to those in parent rocks. Analysis data of trace element show that the enrichment pattern in soils depends on parent rock type with high oncentration of some elements over 100 ppm: Ba and Rb in granite area Zn, Bn, and V in andesite area, and Ba and V in sedimentary rock. In granite area, Rb and Th were greatly enriched in soil than in parent rocks. However, Cr, Ni and Sr commonly decrease, whereas Pb increases in all the soils. Exchangeable cation capacity(CEC) is relatively high in the soils of andesite are including abundant clay minerals. Collective evidences prove that the mineralogical and chemical compositions of soils are strongly dependent on the parent rock type. The mineralogy and chemistry of long cultivated soils are not significantly different from those of residual soils.

        With increasing global concern that intensively synthetic chemical based farming systems accelerated the decline in environmental quality, the sustainability of modern agriculture became the subject of great concern. It is well known that the movement of Community Supported Agriculture(CSA) has been contributed significantly to the development of organic agriculture in USA and Japan. It was supposed that CSA could be one of the best way to promote the movement of organic agriculture since there is little reliability on the organically grown food by consumer. In this paper it was focussed to study the movement of CSA in USA and Europe in order to provide an idea for establishment and movement of CSA in Korea to support the organic agriculture. In a CSA system, the farmer grows food for a group of shareholders who pledge to buy a portion of the farm"s crop that season. This arrangement gives growers up front cash to finance their operation and higher prices for produce, since the middleman has been eliminated. For most shareholder for CSA saving money is a secondary consideration, but fresh safe products and environmentally sound farming system. People become shareholder of CSA since they expect an organic farming which can;① protect the environment, minimize pollution, promote health, ② replenish and maintain long term soil fertility by providing optimal conditions for soil biological activity, ③ maintain diversity within the farming system and its surroundings and protect plant and wildlife habit, ④ recycle materials and resources to the greatest extent possible within the farm and its surrounding community, ⑤ maintain the integrity of organic food and processed products through each step of the process from planting to consumption, ⑥ develop and adopt new technologies with consideration for their long range social and ecological impact. In all CSAs, the farmer develops a crop plan and a budget, which details costs for a growing season, including fair wages for the farmers. Experienced Information on increasing shareholder retention, the future of CSA, and getting started such as ideas for ongoing marketing, printed materials that set realistic expectations, working members, production, pick up and delivery, setting prices, and receiving feedback were also briefly introduced.

        This study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of acidity in the precipitation and weather patterns that were influenced it at Kimhae area from March, 1992 to June, 1994. The range of pH value in the precipitation at Kimhae is 3.45 to 6.80 and the average is pH 4.62, and the major anion components associated with acidity in the precipitation are Cl-, SO42- , NO3-. These distributions are to be expected the influence of industrialization such as, urbanization and construction of industrial complex at Kimhae area and the long range transporting of air pollutants from China. The weather patterns governing the acid rain at Kimhae were classified broadly into four types(Cyclone(type I-a, type I-b), Migratory Anticyclone(type Ⅱ), Tropical Cyclone(type Ⅲ), Siberia High(type Ⅳ)) and weather pattern which had the most occurrence frequency of acid rain was type I-a and the average pH value of precipitation in this pattern was 4.45, and we are found that the source area of air mass which was accompanied with high acidic precipitation in Kimhae was the central China include with Peking through the analysis of surface weather maps, 850 hPa wind fields, and the streamline analyses.

        The objective of this study is to approach on the spatial boundary of rural development protect by areal classification technique with spatial reference to searching of areal homogeneities in two hierachial administrative units, Ri Eup/Myun. In this study, a criterion for judging areal homogeneities is the degree of agriculture and urbanizing. Variables selected by these two criteria are analysed with the method of fator analysis. The results of areal analysis are as follows: first, generally, the importance of agricultural factors in areal analysis is getting less. Second, areal classification by Myun, Ri in Ansong City is revealed variously because of urban factors. Urban factors make areal heterogeneities become greater, Therefore urban factors are important when analyzing areal characteristics. Third, lately, in areas near by Chung- cheong Do and areas with bad road's condition, areal heterogeneities have been also getting greater. The results of analysis about areal characteristics of Myun and Ri are different from each other. In addition, urban factors are more influential on the areal characteristics than agricultural factors. Therefore, the establishment of rural development project for inindle spatial boundary between Myun unit and Ri unit is needed.
