        The Korean livestock industry has grown rapidly. Also the relative importance of livestock production in the total agricultural products has also increased very much. However, there are lots of problems to solve from now because of changing circumstances around Korea, such as increasing imports of low price livestock products, decreasing growth rate of domestic food consumption, and food safety problems. New directions for the animal resource industry are summarized as follows : Firstly, the business field of livestock industry must be enlarged to the animal resource area. Secondly, food safety and sustainable system are very important sectors to develop the animal resource industry in the future. Thirdly, new cooperative systems in the production field, such as integration, support system for calf raising and manure recycling are necessary. Fourthly, promotion and marketing strategies of brand products must be improved.

        멕시코와 네팔에서 수집한 고추 유전자원 50점과 이병성 및 저항성 대조품종에 Stemphylium solani와 S. lycopersici 의 혼합접종으로 흰별무늬병(gray leaf spot)에 대한 저항성을 검정하고, 살균제를 살포하여 회복시킨 다음 다시 Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria를 접종하여 더뎅이병에 대한 저항성을 검정하였다 더뎅이병에는 KC866, KC872, KC902, KC905이 이미 알려진 KC43, KC47, KC220, KC319, KC320, KC380 등과 함께 저항성으로 나타났다. 더뎅이병, bacterial spot)에는 KC897이 이미 저항성으로 보고된 KC177(PI163192)보다 발병이 적어 가장 우수한 것으로 나타났으며 이어서 네팔에서 도입된 KC889, KC896, KC898이 저항성으로 나타났다.

        멕시코와 네팔에서 도입된 고추 유전자원 50점과 대조품종 등을 포함한 총 130여점에 대하여 풋마름병과 역병에 대한 저항성을 검정하였다. 풋마름병에는 KC897, KC939, KC936가 KC126, KC350, KC351, KC353에 더하여 새로운 저항성 재료로 나타났다. 역병에는 저항성이 발견되지 않았다.

        The purpose of this study was to identify the state of demersal fish resource catch by small trawlers, which live in the southern waters off Goheung. We investigated the results of catch of sample fishing vessels, and performed fishing experiments using the actual fishing operation vessels from early November in 2002 till end of October in 2003. The daily amount of catch per vessel of the 35 small trawlers selected as sample vessels was the highest in summer seasons(June and July) as 70kg and the lowest in winter seasons(January and February) as 45kg and Octopus minor occupied as 17 to 30kg nearly 30% of the total catch. Additionally the catch of Octopus minor per vessel, per dragging hour ranges 3 to 6kg, which is the highest in March and June and the low in January to February, April to May and September. In the fishing experiments using small trawler, during the study period, a total of 75 fish species were collected. The number of individuals by species consisted 58.2% in Shrimps, 17.8% in Fish, 2.3% in Cephalopod. Of these, Parapenaeopsis tenella was the highest in 29.2%, Squilla oratoria and Crangon hakodatel was 14.6% respectively and Octopus minor was 0.2% of the total number of individuals. As far as the appearance number of individuals by month was concerned, February was the highest and then May, April and June followed in order, and October showed the lowest. Additionally the monthly catch per dragging was the lowest in December to January as 20kg and the highest in July as 160kg. Specially, Octopus minor was caught throughout the year regardless of season and the catch was the highest at the period from March to June. When looking into the body mean length of dominant fishes caught, we could observe the followings; Trachurus japonicus 8.9cm, Cynoglossus robustus 10.8cm, Muraenesox cinereus 15.3cm, Setipinna taty 10.3cm, Amblchaeturichfhys hexanema 9.3 cm and Collichthys niveatus 8.9cm, most of which were in their immaturity when they were caught.

        In order to improve the gill nets for croaker, Miichthys miiuy which is proper to the fishermen's income ans fisheries resource management, we had studied to the net height of present gill nets (mesh size 160mm, 50 mesh in depth), experimental gill nets-I(mesh size 150mm, 68 mesh in depth) and experimental gill nets-II(mesh size 142mm, 75 mesh in depth) in wter using the gill nets design ans analysis simulation system, and then investigated and analyzed the catch efficiency of each gill nets through the field fishing experiments. The net height of emperimental gill nets-I and experimental gill nets-II in water were estimated respectively about 1.5 times and 1.3 times higher than present gill nets which the net height is about 3.5m as the results of simulation considering the current of fishing fields. Total number of croakers which were caught by the persent gill nets was 62(body length 300~1,200mm), total catch weight was 398.7kg (mean 0.6kg/sheet). Total number of croakers which were caught by the experimental gill nets- I was 68(body length 600~1,100mm), total catch weight was 391.6kg (mean 1.2kg/sheet). Total number of croakers which were caught by the experimental gill nets-II was 28(body length 400~900mm), total catch weight was 99.2kg (mean 0.3kg/sheet).

        이 연구의 목적은 오대산 국립공원 일대의 지질 및 지형경관자원을 조사하여 그 특성을 분석하고, 이들 가운데 경관과 학술적으로 보존가치가 있는 지질 및 지형경관자원을 선정, 이들을 체계적으로 관리, 활용하는 방안에 필수적인 자료를 제시하고자 하는 것이다. 이 조사과정에서는 147개의 지질 및 지형경관자원을 조사하였다. 조사지역에서 가장 많이 관찰되는 지형은 구조지형이며, 다음으로는 풍화, 하천, 산지, 호소, 주빙하 지형 등이다. 다양한 지질 및 지형경관 자원 가운데 4개 노두가 관광자원으로 활용될 수 있고, 5개 노두는 학술연구를 위한 가치 있는 자원으로서 고려될 수 있다. 상기 조사자료는 관광지질학 활성화를 목적으로 지질관광 대상지역의 다양성 제고를 촉진하고, 국립공원관리공단 에서 탐방객에게 제공하는 자연해설 프로그램의 다양화와 기능성 제고를 배가하는데 유용할 것으로 판단된다.
