        In this study, we investigated the site feasibility for the construction of the incineration facilities in Won Ju City. To assess the environmental impact of its construction, we examined the current status of air quality in the selected candidate sites and predicted the extent of air quality change upon its operation through modification of stack type. If the stack height is assumed to be 70 m, the concentrations of SO2 and dioxin in the surrounding area were predicted to increase by 0.05 ppb and 0.09 pg/㎥, respectively. The impact of its operation was assessed and compared among different sites. According to this analysis, more impact was expected from the residential area for the Dan-Gye site than from agricultural areas of the Kwan-Sul and Sa-Je site.

        The purpose of this study was to propose section designs for the ecological improvement of streams in rural villages in Korea. According to the survey about ecological conditions of rural streams of 10 selected rural villages (sep., 1996), the streams could be classified into three divisions(upstream, inner village, downstream), and the average width of streams was 9m, and the height of banks 3.1m. The slopes of basin were 7.33%, 2.67%, 1.39% at upstream, inner village, downstream respectively. The survey about the residents' usage of stream and the preferred activities(jun., 1997) showed that the streams were most frequently used for the supply of agricultural water use(39%), for the washing(15%) and for the recreation and rippling(10%), etc.. Three standard designs were presented for upstream, inner village, and downstream, and three standard sections were made by each designs. For the upstream division, it was designed to be used for the recreational activities in summer and the major stream bank materials were base rock and existing boulders with least artificiality. As the streams in the residential area were expected to be frequent access and used by the residents, most facilities for the streamside activity such as waterfront, water holes, shallows, walk were concentrated in this part with some artificiality. The downstream was designed for the agricultural activities such as water supply, space for the preparation of work and some break during the work.

        It is essential for port planning, coastal zone management and environmental impact study to analyze the variation of current and water quality due to the development of water area and discharged water from estuary barrage and basin etc. Mokpo sea area downstreams from a long river and two large basins, the Yongsan river and Yongam-Kumho basins discharging much of water through water gates for the purpose of flood control and prohibition of salt intrusion to the inland fresh water area. In this study, the numerical calculations were carried out for the analysis of diffusion characteristics due to discharging operation, adapting the results of tidal current simulation ADI methord is applied to the governing equation for the movement of sea water and diffusion and 6-point method to the advection terms of diffusion equation. As the results of this study, it is known that the discharging operation causes increasing and/or decreasing of current velocity and enlarging and/or depressing of pollutant diffusion limits depending on the distance from the discharging gates and the mode of discharging operation. To utilize these result, the linked gate operation and the method increasing exchange of sea water must be considered.

        We will calculate concentration of air pollutants using ISCST3, FDM and AERMOD of models recommended in U. S. EPA which are able to predict concentration of short term for point source, complex like industrial complex, power plant and burn-up institution. Before executing model, as analyzing computational result of many cases according to selecting of input data, we will increasing predictable ability of model in limit range of model. Especially, we analyzed three cases - case of considering various emission rate according to time scale and not, case considering effect of atmospheric pollution materials removed by physical process. In our study, after comparing and analyzing results of three model, we choose the atmospheric dispersion model reflected well the characteristic of the area. And we will investigate how large the complex pollutant sources such as industrial complex contribute to atmospheric environment and air quality of the surrounding the area as predicting and estimating chosen model.

        This studys concerns with a critical issues of urban and rural integration for rurban development. Todays, many of urban-rural integrated cities are confronted with the negative effects of administrative boundary integration. The first problem is induced from the developmental gaps and different residential demands between the core-city and peripheral-county. The second problem is social-economic and administrative unification costs neglected. The third problem is the environmental pollutions and degradations in peripheral-county by rapid urbanization. The forth problem is the inequality of the public services and regional investments in the urban-rural Integrated cities. The fifth problem is the administrative relation and financial distribution between core-city and residual province when the urban-rural integrated core-city becomes large urban city. The results of the questionnaire analysis as follows. The first point, the preference of administrative boundary integration is different in intra-areas of urban-rural integrated county by it's location. The second point, the diversity of preference of residents depends on theirs job, age, resdential period, education and income level. So, administrative boundary integration must consider the many important factors which affect the socio-economic situations between the core-city and peripheral-county. In conclusion, residents' preference for the admistrative boundary integration depends on their situation without rational approach for macro regional development. In this contexts, comprehensive approach for the urban-rural administrative boundary integration is needed in consistent with rapid change of local government's functions.

        연직벽 교대에서의 국부세굴심을 측정한 실험실 자료들이다. 이들 자료들은 교대의 끝단형상, 정렬각도, 흐름수심, 흐름경사에 따라 국부 세굴심의 영향을 주는 자료들로 포함한다. 모형교대 끝단 형상이 직사각형, 타원형, 끝단을 깎아낸 직사각형, 예연형인 교대에서 국부세굴의 양상이 실험적 연구에 의하여 분석되었다. 실험들은 4개의 교대 형상에 대하여 흐름수심을 약 1cm씩 증가시켜서 이동상 세굴 조건하에 실험을 하였다. 수로의 하상경사는 0.01%, 0.03%

        Mokpo coastal area is connected to the adjacent a long river and two large basins. It is essential for port planning coastal zone management and environmental impact study to analyze the data related to the ship operation and variation of current and water quality due to the development of water area including dredging reclamation and estuary barrage. The Yongsan river estuary weir and Yongam-Kumho basins discharge much of water through water gates for the purpose of flood control and prohibit salt intrusion at the inland fresh water area. To meet this purpose discharge through the gates have been done at the period of maximum water level difference between inner river and sea level. This discharged water may cause the changes of current pattern and other environmental influences in the vicinity and inner area of semi-closed Mokpo harbor. In this study ADI method is applied to the governing equation for the analysis of the changes on current pattern due to discharged water. As the results of this study it is known that the discharging operation causes many changes including the increase of current velocity at the front water area at piers approaching passage and anchorages. Discussion made on the point of problems such as restricted maneuverability and the safety of morred vessels at pier and anchorage. To minimize this influence the linked gate operation discharging warning system and laternative mooring system are recommended.

        The extent of heavy metal pollution in agricultural soils near the abandoned mine land site was investigated using their concentrations from the 47 sampling sites in B mine. Samples were prepared using 0.1N HCl -Korean Standard Methods- and then analysed for Cd, Cu, Pb, As and Cr by Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrometer. In addition, soil and mine tailing samples were sequentially extracted to investigate the chemical speciation of heavy metals in them. The soils in the vicinity of mining area are highly contaminated by heavy metals ranging up to 5.96㎎ Cd/㎏, 253.3㎎ Cu/㎏, 76.7㎎ Pb/㎏, and 15.45㎎ As/㎏, according to the analysis of Korean Standard Methods. The heavy metal levels by the sequential extraction are much higher than its level by Korean Standard Methods, and little correlated with each other. Based on the results, it is suggested that the As pollution in agricultural soils near the AMLS should be dealt as of prior significance in establishing reclamation strategies for the area.

        Pyrite contained in wasted ore dumps induces a strong acid environment when it contacts oxygenated rainfall. Present research was designed to evaluate the pollution of an area that is supposedly contaminated by pyrite of ore wasted dumps form in Chonju Il Mine. Measured are the pH and selected heavy metal elements in the supposedly polluted hydrologic system. The samples include three types those collected from the stream waters; those from the stream sediments; and those from the rice field soil scattered over the area. The dispersion path of the pollution source was also traced. The pH of the hydrologic system ranged from 3.44 to 5.46, which clearly indicates that the area is on the acid environment. The pH tends to rise as the distance from the minehead increases. The content of heavy metal elements dissolved in the stream water varies as follows; Mn=69.73∼1.99ppm, Cd=0.02∼0.03ppm, Zn=0.77∼1.18ppm, Cu=0.04∼0.13ppm, Pb=0.22∼0.32ppm. The stream water in this state may induce serious heavy metal pollution to the agricultural land and the water for human life especially in the villages down the stream. The content of heavy metal elements dissolved in the stream sediment varies as follows; Mn=245.0∼4685.0ppm, Cd=10.0∼15.0ppm, Zn=105.0∼210.0ppm, Cu=65.0∼155.0ppm, Pb=90.0∼150.0ppm. The content of heavy metal elements dissolved in the rice field soil varies as follows; Mn=185.0∼260.0ppm, Cd=10.0∼15.0ppm, Zn=135.0∼180.0ppm, Cu=65.0∼90.0ppm, Pb=100.0∼130.0ppm. The pollution index in the stream sediment and the rice field soil is 1.36∼2.03, which shows that pollution had already begun all over the area where the samples were collected.

        This study estimate the degree of contamination in the streamwater around the Sudokwon landfill site. It was sampled at 10 sites in Jan., Apr., Jul. and Oct., 1996. There were analyzed five kinds of toxic chemical material-CN, ABS, PCB, As, Org-P, and four kinds of heavy metal-Pb, Hg, Cd, C_r^+6. The result are 1)The COD was generally increased to compare before landfill, 2)The Org-P and PCB were not detected at all points, 3)The concentrations of Pb, C_r^+6 and As were lower than the environmental criteria values, 4)The CN, Hg and Cd were over envirommental criteria values, and so emergent regulation is needed, 5)The effects of the streamwater contamination were not only the leachate of the landfill, but also the small factories and agricultural land around the landfill.

        본 연구에서는 주암호 건설에 따른 기후 요소의 변이에 따른 벼 생산성에서의 변이를 밝히기 위해 주암호 주변 6개 지역에 AWS를 설치하고 그 인근 지역에서 벼를 재배하고 생육 및 수량을 조사하였다. 조사항목은 주요 기상요소로서 일최고기온, 일최저기온, 일평균기온, 일평균상대습도, 일평균풍속, 일평균지온, 일적산일사량 그리고 일적산강우량이었고, 생육형질로는 일주일 간격으로 8~10회에 걸쳐 초장, 분얼수, 엽면적, 엽건물중, 경건물증, 그리고 수량 및 수량구성요소를 조사하였다. 기상요소의 변이와 벼 생산성의 변이간의 관계는 SIMRIW의 모수추정을 통해서 이루어졌으며 호수 생성 전과 생성 후의 기상을 30년간 시뮬레이션을 통해 추정한 다음 이 결과를 모형에 입력하여 30년간의 모형에 의한 수량을 추정하고 그 평균을 통해 호수생성에 따른 벼 생산성 변이를 추정하였다. '94년도 5개 지역 그리고 '95년도 3개 지역, 그리고 '96년도 4개 지역의 관측된 시험 성적과 SIMRIW에서 추정한 지상부 건물중, 엽면적지수 그리고 수량을 비교해 보았을 때 SIMRIW의 결과가 대체적으로 각 관측치의 평균값에 접근함을 알 수 있어 이 모형이 비교적 양호하게 기상환경의 변이에 따른 수량을 예측함을 알 수 있었다. 30년간의 simulation을 통해 얻은 담수 전과 담수 후의 기상자료를 비교해 보면 일최고기온은 담수 전이 약간 높았으나 일최저기온은 담수 후가 약간 높아서 일평균기온은 담수 후가 오히려 높은 경향을 보였고, 일적산일사량은 담수 후에 대략 0.9 MJ d1 정도 낮아졌다. 이들 자료를 SIMRIW에 입력하여 수량을 예측해 본 결과 주 암호의 생성에 따라 복다-동촌-승주지역에서 5.2%, 오봉 4.9%, 이읍 9.1%, 금성 5.5%, 유정 4.8%, 다산 3.3% 정도 수량이 감소된 것으로 나타났다. 전지역을 평균하여 볼 때 담수 전이 6.82MT/ha, 담수 후가 6.44MT/ha로 전체적으로 5.6% 정도 감수한 것으로 나타났다.

        In order to analyze the water quality variation of surface water around the Sudokwon landfill site, seasonal variations of water temperature, pH, DO, BOD, COD, SS, NH_3-N. NO_2-N, and NO_3-N were examined at 10 sites from January to December, 1996. It was found that the estimates of COD, DO, SS, and NH_3-N were increased compared with the results of environmental impact assessment carried out in 1988. Higher estimates of COD, DO, and SS were due to industrial and agricultural wastewater, and the increase of NH_3-N at Jangdo reservoir site was due to the leachate from the landfill. In particular, the estimate of SS was found to be increased by the soil wash from the landfill during the heavy rainy days.

        1990년 임하 다목적댐 건설에 의해 경북 안동지역에 생성된 담수면적 28.7km2 의 임하호가 주변지역의 국지기후 및 주요 작물의 잠재생산력에 미친 영향을 구명하기 위해 임하호 주변 30km 25km 지역을 대상으로 무인기상관측망을 구성, 5년간의 특별관측을 수행하였다. 수집된 자료를 토대로 담수전후 기후시나리오를 작성하고 이를 작물모형에 입력하여 최종 건물생산량을 추정한 바, 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 담수후 5년간 일최고기온은 담수 전보다 평균적으로 한후기 (10월~3월)에 상승하고 난후기에 하강하였으나, 예외적으로 6월과 7월에는 상승하였다. 일최저기온은 담수 전보다 평균적으로 난후기(4월~8월)에 하강하고 한후기에 상승하였다. 담수 전후 기온의 변화정도는 겨울철에 크고 여름철에 적었다. 2. 담수후 5년간 강수량은 담수 전보다 평균적으로 2, 3, 5, 7, 12월에 증가하였고 나머지 달에는 감소하였으나 연간 총강수량의 변화는 인정되지 않았다. 월별 일사량은 2, 6, 9월을 제외하고는 담수전에 비해 5% 가량 감소하였다. 3. 담수 전후 30년간씩의 벼 생육모의실험에서 대상지역내 27개 재배구역 중 담수에 의해 잠재수량의 변화가 인정되는 곳은 한 곳 뿐으로 담수전에 비해 정조 기준 4%의 증가를 보였다. 4. 담수 전후 30년간씩의 콩 생육모의실험에서 대상지역내 27개 재배구역 중 담수에 의해 잠재수량 감소가 인정되는 곳이 2개였으며 최대 감수율은 16%였다. 5. 담수 전후 30년간씩의 옥수수 생육모의실험에서 담수에 의해 옥수수의 잠재수량 감소가 인정되는 곳이 총 27개 중 6개였고 최대 감수율은 17%였다.. 또한 유수의 크기는 전 유수발달기를 통하여 항상 밀양 2003가 고시히카리보다 컸다. the canopies with more leaf mass, making MB the highest, HB the lowest, and DS in between. Relative humidity was over 90% in the night and dropped to 70% in the mid-afternoon, but vapor pressure within the canopy was highest at around 13:00 LST. Dew point depression was lowest and, combined with the temperature, the relative humidity was highest in HB. Mean period of wetting duration was in the order of DS>HB>MB, while the dew point depression was greatest in DS.ANCOVA, Pearson correlation을 이용하여 분석하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 캠프 프로그램은 소아 당뇨병 환자의 자기 효능을 증진시키고 환자 역할 행위 이행을 높여주는데 효과적 이었다. 소아 당뇨병 환자의 자기 효능은 환자 역할 행위 이행과 순 상관 관계가 있어, 자기 효능이 증진될수록 환자 역할 행위 이행 정도가 높아졌다. 무조건 사주지 않는다(8.0%), 무조건 사준다(3.1%)로 식품광고에 나오는 식품 요구시 부모의 70.3%가 거절하는 것으로 나타났다. 거절 이유는 건강에 나쁘다는 것이 가장 큰 이유였으며 강남과 강북 어린이간에 유의적인 차이가 있었다(p<0.001).         This paper reviews the differences between the selected village groves and the selected roadside groves. In Chonbuk province, the village groves were principally found in the east mountainous region and roadside groves were principally found in the west low-sloped region. They were located in the place of good accessibility and good view. The differrence between the village groves and roadside groves was considerately large in the aspect of physical, socio-behavioral condition and vegetation structure. Both were contrasted in many points. The results resolve itself into Table 2, 4, 6. This research is useful in finding the characters of the both groves and in preparing the conservation and management plan of the groves through comparative review.

        We investigated and analysed the actual conditions and characteristics of railroad noise levels for 17 sites in the vicinity of the Seoul-Pusan Line. The results are summarized. as follows : 1) Railroad noise level ranged to 64∼74 L_eq dB(A) at day time and ranged to 60∼72 L_eq dB(A) at night time. 2) Increased night noise level depend on the increase of trains passing at night time. 3) The major factor of increased noise level in the vicinity of stations are using loudspeakers and stream whistle on trains. 4) Decreased effect of noise according to distance is able to be described quantitatively using regression equations of multiplicative model.         The present study was performed to elucidate the distribution of protozoans according to the actual conditions of soil pollution around Ulsan industrial complexes, Korea. Samples were collected from the top-soils of 13 localities in eight times during the period from 16 April 1994 to 14 January 1995. As a result of this study, total 11 species of hypotrichous ciliated protozoa were identified and analyzed. These hypotrichs are 6 species of stichotrichine hyporichs (Keronopsis sp., Pseudourostyla sp., Holosticha sylvatica, Holosticha multistylata, Holosticha sp. and Paruroleptus sp.) and 5 species of sporadotrichine hypotrichs (Oxytricha sp., Steinia sp., Histriculus cavicola, Hemisincirra sp. and Gonostomum of affine). Of these 11 species, 4 species (Keronopsis sp., Pseudourostyla sp., Holosticha sp. and Hemisincirra sp.) are reported for the first time from Korea. All the sampling localities could be grouped in three zones by the cluster analysis with the abundance and distribution of protozoans. This result is approximately coincide with the zonation by the concentration of heavy metals.
