        본 논문에서는 연기 애니메이션을 위한 GPU 기반의 펜앤잉크 렌더링 방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법은 광선 투사 방법을 이용하여 화면에 그려질 연기의 표면점을 추출하였다. 계산된 표면점에 대해 밝기값과 곡률을 계산하여 스트록의 방향과 스트록의 밀도를 정하였다. 각 스트록은 기하 쉐이더를 이용하여 사각형을 생성하여 스트록 텍스쳐를 매핑함으로써 렌더링하였다. 이때, 사각형의 모양을 곡률을 따라 변형함으로써 스트록이 곡률 방향을 따라 그려지도록 하였으며 텍스쳐에 그려질 스트록의 개수를 밝기값에 따라 정함으로써 스트록의 밀도를 조절하였다. 실험 결과 평균 초당 25 프레임의 속도로 연기 애니메이션에 대한 펜앤잉크 렌더링을 생성할 수 있었다.

        농촌경관은 자연경관과 문화경관을 대표한다. 문명화된 세계에서 진정한 자연경관은 찾아보기 힘들며 유럽과 아시아 지역에서도 적은 지역에만 존재한다. 가장 오래된 대표적인 경관은 사람들이 경제, 생산의 가치 뿐 아니라 미적 자원으로서토지에 대해 가지고 있는 가치가 무엇인지를 보여준다.최근까지도, 전세계적으로 토지의 농업생산성은 다른 어떤 것(미와 휴양, 회복의 가치 등) 보다도 주요한 관심사였으나이제 세계 인구의 50% 이상이 도시에 살고 있는 상황에서 농촌경관이 지닌 가치들은 상실될 위기에 처해졌다. 동시에,우리가 공공영역을 관리하고 개발하는 방법은 점점 더 명확한 과학적 근거를 바탕으로 하는 경향을 보이고 있다. 어떠한목적의 보호구역을 설정하는 데 있어 경제적, 생태적 생산성과 지속가능성 등의 생태적 효과의 평가에 크게 의지한다.이러한 평가는 기후변화와 자원의 추출 등의 영향에 대한 효과를 고려하는데는 적합하나, 체계적인 계획을 수립하는데가장 큰 방해가 되는 문화적, 심리적인 경관의 장소애착을 반영하지는 못한다. 기술적 경관평가와 관리에는 두 가지관점이 있다. 북아메리카, 오스트레일리아, 뉴질랜드에서는 경관평가 기법을 자연경관 가치의 체계적인 평가로부터발전시켜 왔으며 이것은 인간의 개입이 조화롭고 만족스러운 세계에 방해가 되는 것으로 이해하고 있다. 유럽에서의경관은 문화적이고 사람이 체험하는 것으로, 평가에 있어 측정 가능한 가치보다는 문화적 산물과 장소애착의 역할을중요시 여겨 기술적 계획과의 연계가 부족한 단점이 있다. 분석의 필요요소가 어느때보다도 광범위 해졌으며 정치적으로는커뮤니티부터 국가적 차원에 이르기까지 다양하며 민감한 이해집단을 포함해야 하는 상황에서 이 두 가지 관점은 모두현대 계획의 의사결정 환경을 완벽하게 지원하지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 농촌과 자연경관의 평가에 대한 주요 쟁점들을북아메리카와 유럽의 두 가지 관점에서 다루고 한국에서의 현대 농촌계획을 지원하기 위한 적합성에 대해 논의하였으며특히 미국의 주요 국가기관과 Scenic America 등 민간단체, 그리고 European Landscape Convention 의 경관 보호의 목적을 중심으로 다루었다.

        This paper describes the concept to design ship detection and identification systemwith combined use of Automatic Identification System (AIS) reports over Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data. TerraSAR-X data (HH-polarization) in spotlight mode acquired on May 2, 2010 is used in this work with AIS-reports taken as ground truth. Till so far, only ship detection algorithms like CFAR (Constant False Alarm Rate), Alpha-stable distribution etc. were presented in most of the literatures for ship detection but also there are some limitation for ship detection performance like metrological conditions, image properties, speckle noise occurrence etc. Here, we present integration concept of both data by means of time matching of AIS-reports with image acquisition in order to estimate ship’s dead-reckoning (DR) location from AIS-report and are projected over an image along with the ship’s hull design for suitability and accurate reliability results. Nearest distance search method are applied to designate the SAR-derived ship targets within certain region of interest around DR. At last, DR based ship’s hull pattern is shifted over SAR-derived ship targets to conclude matched performance result in a well suitable manner.

        Stream and river habitats are characterized by a uni-directional water flow. Organisms colonizing such habitats are faced with the constraint of continuous downstream flow. Some ecologists find it puzzling that upstream is colonized by insect communities although the insects are continuously faced with downstream flow. The obvious solution to the puzzle is that there exist compensatory strategies, three of which have gained some notoriety in recent years: 1) diffusive random movement and density-dependent regulation of population size; 2) daily directed movement during larvae stage; 3) the compensation of larval drift by adult upstream flight. We have adapted an eco-evolutionary individual-based model (IBM) to accommodate typical life events of aquatic insects, such as birth, death, diffusion, and drifting. The probabilities of these events, which occur on the individual level, depend on both biological (e.g., local competition, upstream flight by adult insects) and environmental (e.g., unidirectional flow) constraints. The evolution of selected traits, namely, adapted water velocity, drifting time and distance, and upward flight distance, was investigated through simulation. We find that, while the three strategies are generally able to sustain upstream populations, the exact compensation of drift loss allowed by upstream flight makes the third strategy less “asteful” a population of upstream flight strategists to outcompete diffusive movement strategists. We also report branching of adapted traits in drifting during the course of evolution. Individuals with high current velocity preferences either spend short (several seconds) or long (an hour) duration in water flow, while the individuals with low current-velocity preference only spend middle range (half an hour) of duration in water flow.

        In order to achieve the optimized pest control, correct estimation of pest densities is a prerequisite to monitor pest damage and to provide efficient pest management plans. Parameters regarding diffusion (e.g., diffusion constant) and population size (e.g., growth rate) were estimated by using diffusion equation. The time series dispersal data of Whiteflies collected in greenhouse were used for modeling. Cross-correlation analysis was conducted to reveal the range and direction of pest population invasion. Sampling theory was further investigated regarding estimation of densities, and population dynamics of Whiteflies were discussed in two dimensions.

        The study was conducted to determine the knowledge and practices of vegetable farmers in Hanoi, Vietnam in controlling mites, and their attitude towards N. longispinosus as biological control agent against T. urticae on green bean. The field surveys conducted in Tang My and Son Du hamlets, two of the largest vegetable production areas in Dong Anh district, show that the respondents in Tang My who had training on the vegetable IPM program had higher knowledge on green bean pest management and knew better about natural enemies and biological control than the ones without training in Son Du. However, both groups of respondents did not have enough knowledge on spider mite control and most of them did not know or hear about predatory mite before. Hence, 40 percent of the respondents said they would not use predatory mites, and 33 percent were still uncertain whether they will adopt this biological control. The paper suggests some recommendations to enhance farmers’ use of biological control against mites on green beans.

In food industries, nanotechnology is used to enhance food quality and safety. Numerous cutting-edge studies on the advantages of nanotechnology have been conducted in the fields of food processing, food ingredients and additives, food packaging, and food engineering for optimal health. The market for these areas of research has grown steadily, and is expected to continue to do so. Because of this, R&D for nanotechnology that can be used effectively in food industries is being performed by several companies, as well as in academic research institutions around the world. This review describes the recent global R&D trends that have been in progress for two key areas: food processing and food packaging.

        The functional response and spatial distribution of parasitoid may be useful for understanding host-parasitoid dynamics because information on these will give knowledge of the host-parasitoid interaction, which could lead to the development of strategy for biological control of insect pests. The functional responses of A. asychis on the green peach aphid and potato aphid was investigated in eggplant leaf-disc arena. As a result, among the three types of functional response, type III best described the A. asychis response to the aphid densities, according to the Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC). Functional response and spatial distribution of A. asychis on green peach aphid, Myzus persicae, was investigated on 5x5 eggplants in the net cage. After M. persicae were inoculated uniformly at the densities of 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 (per plant) on upper, middle and lower leaves of each 25 eggplants, one mated female of A. asychis was introduced on the central eggplant. Each aphid density was duplicated. A. asychis showed a type II functional response different from that estimated on the eggplant leaf-disc arena. Although the initial distribution of the aphids in the 25 eggplants was uniform vertically and horizontally, the aphids became gradually concentrated on the upper leaves of eggplants, so did immature A. asychis.

        Mongolia has 80% livestock of total agriculture industry, 170,000 farms are engaged, 2,500,000 of cows that were beef and dairy cows are raised. Despite of Mongolian has great application with milk, there are not clear differences between cow and dairy cattle, and the production of milk is also low. But the milk suppliers are varied (horse, sheep, goat, etc), so that the total milk production is 500 thousand ton per year. It's really considerable to improve the breed of owing to many problems with big differences among milk qualities. For carrying out for first year project, artificial insemination project was operated with 3rd grade Holstein semen that were imported from S. Korea, and initiation and field training were also carried out through appropriate AI technique we developed for Mongolia environment. Local information research and MOU conclusion were done with professor D. Altangerel in May , 2009, and development for AI technique and AI equipments were supplied for Mongolia breeding and natural environment in July in 2009. All cows were treated by synchronization for AI. To do this, injection were treated for luteal phase cow, if it wouldn't work, try again after 11 days. After confirmation of estrus, AI and AI training were carried out with sperm injection in the uterus or cervix by rectum-vagina method which is common worldwide, the most effective artificial insemination technique. If cows were return to next estrus cycle, second AI was carried out about approximately 21 days after artificial insemination. After 2 months, all cows not showing return estrus should be taken pregnancy test. Every pregnant cow will be cared thoroughly. Total 48 cows administrated by for synchronization and after 48 hours 45 cows (93.8%) showing estrus were detected and then artificial inseminate them within who 8 cows (27.8%) showed return estrus. Therefore, Using for synchronization is effective to use for Mongolia breeding conditions. There are possibility of base for food production after all, including increase of livestock production in Mongolia by improvement of breeding cow with AI and embryo transfer project.

        The objective of this study was evaluated the influences of the nitrogen fertilization level on timothy silage fermentation quality, nutritive value, and nutrient intake. In both the first and second crops, high level nitrogen fertilization (H) led to a lower WSC content and higher CP content than standard nitrogen fertilization (S). The silage fermentation quality was good in the presence of a Lactobacillus inoculant (SI and HI) than uninoculant (SC and HC). In the first crop silage, the TDN content and intake were significantly higher (P<0.01) for HI than for SI. In the second silage, the DM, DE, and TDN intakes did not significantly differ among the 4 treatments.

        A full-length sequence of a thrombin inhibitor (designated as hemalin) from the midgut of pathenogenetic Haemaphysalis longicornis has been identified. Sequence analysis shows that this gene belongs to a Kunitz-type family, containing two Kunitz domains with high homology to boophilin, the thrombin inhibitor from Rhipicephalus (Boophilus) microplus. The recombinant protein expressed in insect cells delays bovine plasma clotting time and inhibits both thrombin-induced fibrinogen clotting and platelet aggregation. A 20-kDa protein was detected from the midgut lysate with antiserum against recombinant hemalin. The gene expresses at all stages of the tick except for the egg stage and mainly in the midgut of the female adult tick. Real-time PCR analysis shows that this gene has a distinctly high expression level in the rapid bloodsucking period of the larvae, nymphs, and adults. Disruption of the hemalin gene led to a 2-day extension of the tick blood feeding period, and 27.7% of the ticks did not successfully complete the blood feeding. These findings indicate that the newly indentified thrombin inhibitor from the midgut of H. longicornis might play an important role in tick blood feeding.
