        The 15,389-bp long complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of the redspotted apollo butterfly, Parnassius bremeri (Lepidoptera: Papilionidae) was determined. This genome has a gene arrangement identical to those of all other sequenced lepidopteran insects, but differs from the most common type, as the result of the movement of tRNAMet to a position 5’-upstream of tRNAIle. No typical start codon of the P. bremeri COI gene is available. Instead, a tetranucleotide, TTAG, which is found at the beginning context of all sequenced lepidopteran insects was tentatively designated as the start codon for P. bremeri COI gene. All protein-coding genes (PCGs), but COII (T) have complete termination codon TAA or TAG. One of the most unusual feature of the P. bremeri mitochondrial genome is the presence of two tRNA-like structures, such as the tRNATrp-like sequence and tRNALeu (UUR)-like sequence with proper anticodon and clover-leaf structures in the 514-bp long A+T-rich region. Furthermore, the A+T-rich region possesses three sequences that have the potential to form stem-and-loop structures, flanked by the conserved sequences, "TA(A)TA" at the 5’ end and "G(A)nT’ at the 3’ end. After more genomic and phylogenetic analyses are performed, further detailed information will be available.

        We determined the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of the Japanese Oak Silkmoth, Antheraea yamamai (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae) from two overlapping fragments and subsequent shotgun sequencing. The 15,601-bp long A. yamamai mitogenome contains gene arrangement and content identical to the most common arrangement found in lepidopteran insects. Most individual A. yamamai mitochondrial (mt) genes were well within the range found in the respective genes of other insects, except for small ribosomal RNA (1,037 bp). The 336-bp A+T-rich region is relatively smaller than that of other lepidopteran insects. The region is interesting in that it contains tRNA-like structures as found in the A+T-rich regions of other insect mitogenomes. The start codon of A. yamamai COI gene is unusual in that no typical one (ATN) is available. Three of the 13 protein-coding genes have incomplete termination codon T or TA. All tRNA formed stable stem-and-loop structure, except for tRNASer(AGN), the DHU arm of which formed a simple loop as seen in many other metazoan mt tRNASer(AGN).

        Developmental periods of sweet potato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci(Gennaius) Q-biotype, were investigated on three host plants- sweet bell pepper (Capsicum annuum L.), eggplant(Solanum melongena L.) and oriental melon(Cucumis melo L. var. makuwa MAKINO). Egg and nymph development of B. tabaci were studied within temperature ranging of 15℃-35℃ by 2.5℃ under photoperiod 16:8(L:D). Egg period of B. tabaci was the shortest at 32.5℃ and nymphal period was shortest at 27.5℃ on sweet bell pepper. Nymphal period of B. tabaci on eggplant was the shortest at 27.5℃ as well. On the other hand, nymphal period of B. tabaci was shortest at 30℃ and 32.5℃. Lower temperature threshold and effective degree-day for completing egg development on sweet bell pepper were estimated as 13.11, 91.95, respectively. Lower threshold temperature of nymphal stage on sweet bell pepper, eggplant, oriental melon were estimated as 13.01, 13.39, 12.31,respectively. Degree-days required to complete nymphal stage on sweet bell pepper, eggplant, oriental melon were estimated as 191.22, 164.41, 190.34, respectively. The relationships between development rates of egg and nymph were well described by poikilothermal rate function and weibull function. The fitted curves will be used as input for a simulation model of the population dynamics of B. tabaci.

        Resistance-breaking ability of wild brown planthopper (BPH), Nilaparvata lugens, on resistant rice cultivars has been reported in many Asian countries. To understand the development of resistance-breaking ability of wild BPH in Korea, we conducted the nymphal survivorship test and the electrical penetration graph (EPG) on susceptible and resistant rice cultivars with four different BPH populations, which were collected in the early 1980s (S-BPH), 2005, 2006, and 2007, respectively. The S-BPH showed low survival rates on resistant rice cultivars carrying Bph1 and bph2, respectively. On the other hand, recent(2005~2007) wild BPH populations seemed to have high resistance-breaking ability because they maintained elevated survival rates on most other resistant rice cultivars except Gayabyeo (Bph1 and bph2) and Rathu Heenati (Bph3). In the EPG monitoring, however, wild BPHs could not easily feed on the phloem sap of resistant rice cultivars, Cheongcheongbyeo (Bph1), ASD7 (bph2), and Gayabyeo. Wild BPHs spent more time on reaching the phloem sieve elements of resistant cultivars. Ph waveform duration and honeydew excretion amount of wild BPHs also decreased. From the results, we suggest that though recent wild BPHs collected in Korea have high resistance-breaking ability simultaneously on rice cultivars carrying Bph1 and bph2 through the increase of survivorship, they still have to pay some cost to feed on the phloem sap of resistant rice cultivars.

        The Tribe Prosternini of the subfamily Dendrometrinae comprises approximately 530 species in 39 genera through the world. Especially about 250 species in 20 genera with 13 subgenera has been known in the Palaearctic region. In process of the taxonomic study on the members belonging to this tribe in Korea, the authors recognized a new genus including to three new species. This new genus has close affinities with species of the genera Acteniceromorphus Kishii 1955, Liotricus Kiesenwetter 1858, and Actenicerus Kiesenwetter 1858. The novel genus differs from mostly allied to the genus Acteniceromorphus in its specialized paramere shape in the male genitalia, lacking unicarina on the pronotal hind angles, and the character state of the prosternal process. This presentation is given that above four genera including the new genus from Korea are compared to discuss their place in classification by basis of morphological information.

        In this paper, the fundamental attributes, phase composition of three pre-alloyed powders for diamond tools by water atomization were investigated. The density, hardness, bend strength and bending modulus of their hot pressing samples were examined. The results showed that the three pre-alloyed powders have excellent low temperature sintering characteristics. The physical and mechanical properties of the samples were found to be nearly the same as those of fine cobalt powders.

        도라지의 급이가 고콜레스테롤혈증 흰쥐의 간기능과 지질대사에 미치는 영향 구명하기 위하여 SD계숫흰쥐에게 동결건조한 도라지 분말 5%와 도라지 분말 5%에 해당하는 식물섬유, saponin, 에탄올추출물을 각각 급이하여 3주간 실험 사육한 후 혈청효소 및 간장의 지질성분 분석, 간세포의 형태를 검토하였다. 혈청중 AST, ALT효소활성은 대조군에 비해 전실험군이 유의적으로 감소하였고 그중 saponin 급이 군이 가장 낮았고 그 다음이 식물섬유군이었다. LDH효소 활성도 전 실험군에서 유의적으로 낮게 나타났으며 22년근 도라지의 식물섬유군과 saponin군이 낮은 값을 보였다. 간장 중의 총 콜레스테롤 함량은 4년근과 22년근 도라지 분말 및 식물섬유 급이군이 비교적 낮았으며, 중성지질 함량은 대조군에 비해 전 실험군에서 낮았으나, 각 실험군간의 차이는 크지 않았고, 인지직 함량은 전 실험군에 있어 비슷한 수준이었다. 간장 조직세포의 전자현미경 관찰 결과, 대조군은 지방구가 증가되어 있는 반면 도라지 급이군에서는 감소되었으며, 22년근 도라지 급이군은 간장 글리코겐 축적량이 증가되어 있었다.

        마비성패류독(Paralytic shellfish poison, PSP)에 의하여 독화된 패류의 유효이용에 대한 자료를 제공하고자 독화된 진주담치의 중장선 균질육, 0.1N HCl로 추출한 조독소 용액, 중장선으로부터 정제한 gonyautoxin(GTX) group과 saxitoxin(STX) group 등 4가지 형태의 PSP 독소에 대한 내열성을 조사하였다. 독화된 진주담치의 중장선육 균질액, 산추출 조독소액, GTX group, STX group 등 4 종류의 반응속도상수는 120℃에서 3.28×10^(-2), 1.20×10^(-2), 5.88×10^(-2), 2.58×10^(-2)이었으며 4 종류의 독소 중 0.1 N HCl 추출한 조독소용액의 D-value가 가장 높았다. 반응속도상수를 이용한 살균온도 산정에 있어서, 초 독력이 200 /100g인 독화된 진주담치육의 경우, 독력을 마비성패류독 규제치인 80 ㎍/100g으로 감소시키는데에는 90℃에서는 약 129분, 100℃에서는 약 82분, 110℃에서는 약 48분, 120℃에서는 약 28분이 걸렸다. 이러한 결과는 최초 독력이 200 ㎍/100g인 패류의 경우, 통조림 살균공정 후 잔존 독력이 규제치인 80㎍/100g이하로 감소시키는데에는 현재의 살균조건(115℃, 70분)으로는 충분하다는 것을 입증한다

        The x-ray pulsar GX 1+4 was observed by us in four balloon- borne experiments carried out from Hyderabad, India during 1991-1995 period with a hard x-ray telescope. The x-ray telescope consists of two collimated large area xenon-filled proportional counters with an effective area of 2400 cm2, a field of view of 5°×5° and sensitive in the energy band of 20 - 100 keV. The pulsar was detected in bright state in two of the four experiments and x-ray pulsations with 120 second period were detected clearly. Pulsation period, rate of change of period with time, pulse fraction, pulse profile and energy spectra of the source were determined from these studies. During March 1995 observation, the x-ray pulse of GX 1+4 was found to be double-peaked compared to a single-peak pulse profile detected in December 1993. Details of these results are presented and their interpretation discussed in terms of the current accretion models of x-ray binaries.

        국내에서 분리된 Bacillus thuringiensis NT0423은 나비목과 파리목 곤충에 독성을 보이는 130 kDa의 전형적인 다이아몬드형 내독소 단백질을 생성한다. 이 균주의 파리목에 대한 독성을 강화하기 위하여, B. thuringeinsis NT0423에 모기 유충에 강한 독성을 보이는 B. thuringiensis subsp. morrisoni PG-14의 cryVID유전자를 가지고 있는 pCG10 플라스미드를 electroporation 방법을 이용하여 형질전환하였다. 형질전환체인 B. thuringiensis PT1227내에서 cryIVD와 숙주가 생성하는 원래의 다이아몬드형 130kDa 내독소 단백질 유전자는 그 자신의 형태로 잘 발현되었다. 형질전환체의 모기 유충에 대한 독성은 원래 숙주의 내 독소 단백질과ㅏ 도입된 CryIVD의 상승효과에 의해 현저히 증가하였다.

        Bacillus thuringiensis kurstaki와 aizawai의 내독소단백질을 알카리용액 또는 트립신, 곤충소화액 드응ㄹ 처리하여 전기영동한 후 단백질팬턴을 비교하였다. 두 균주의 주요 결정단백질은 130kd와 64kd의 단백질이었으며, 소화액이나 효소로 처리한 경우 공통적으로 62kd의 활성독소가 생성되었다. 그러나, aizawai는 kurstaki에 비해 현저히 적은 양의 62kd 단백질을 생성하였다. 흰불나방의 유충이 Bacillus thuringiensis 독소를 섭식하였을 때 지방체를 비롯한 몇 가지 조직에서 45kd의 스트레스 단백질이 유발되었는데 이 단백질은 열충격이나 저온 충격시에도 마찬가지로 생성되었다.

        도로 안전 구조물을 썰계하고 동적 퍼포먼스톨 측정하기 위하여 시행되는 충돌시험시 충돌차량의 운동량, 륙히 각가속도를 Euler 방정식의 수치적분을 통하여 구하는 기법을 셜명하였다. 수치척으로 가장 안정적인 9-array 시스댐안에 내재된 여러 형태의 7, 8-array 서브시스댐들의 시스댐 미분 방정식 빛 이들 방정식의 수치 적분시 안정성올 실험데이터를 이용하여 파악하였다. 기본척인 9-array 안에 있는 6개의 8-array 시스댐들은 모두 수치적으로 안정성올 보였고 12개의 7-array 시 스댐들중 6개는 안정성올 보이고 6개는 불안정하였다. 안정성올 보이는 내재된 서브시스댐을 활용하면 기본 9-array 시스댐을 구성하는 센서의 일부 고장시 효과적으로 각가속도를 측정 할 수 있는 fail-safe 시 스댐을 구 성할수있디.

        지반위에 얹혀진 구형평판을 에너지 방볍으로 해석하는 방법에 대한 일반적인 전개이다. 본 논렌에서는 기 본적 으로 지표연과 평판사이의 접촉응력을 가정한 다음 Boussinesque 의 식을 적분하여 지표면 혹은 평판의 처짐을 구하는 방볍을 시도하였다. 임의의 차수를 갖는 다항식과 Chebychev 다항식으로 접촉웅랙을 가정할 때 Boussinesque 의 식을 적 분하는 방법을 서술하고 그 결과뜰 에너지번에 이용 하는 파정을 설명 히였다. 해석 결과 임의차수를 갖는 다항식 을 접촉웅력 함수로 적당하지 않고. Chebychev 다항식이 합당한 것으로 나타났 으나 평판 Boundary 의 Stress Singularity를 고려한 함수를 선택 하면 훨씬 효과 적일 것으로 판단되었다.

        Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) play a very important role in developing countries. In Vietnam, SMEs operating in the field of handicrafts, besides contributing to the economy, also tasked to maintain and develop traditional handicrafts. However, accessing loans from banks of SMEs faces many difficulties. This study explores the determinants of bank lending decision for SMEs, particular, in traditional handicrafts business. Using dataset based on a survey conducted in Binh Duong province, Vietnam, we investigated to what determinant effects for loan approval. The analytical methods used include descriptive statistics for overall assessment, principal component analysis and regression to examine determinants of lending decisions. The results indicate that company’s collateral was the most positive determinant to bank lending decision, follow by company’s business plan. The role of company’s leader is very important for banks considers to approve credit because company’s leaders experience and relationship with stakeholders as well as banks have positive relations with bank’s lending decision. Agreed with previous studies, the company’s financial statement and company’s credit history with banks are also significant determinants for lending decision. Whereas, the business environment seam unaffected lending decision as their relations is not significant..

        An alternative method for team diversity studies is to examine demographic faultlines. A concept of demographic faultline enables us to better understand team dynamics with multidimensional diversity. This study suggests the demographic faultline as a new situational factorto influence the relationship between leader teamwork behaviors and a climate of support for innovation. When subgroups divided by demographic faultline are homogeneous within them and heterogeneous between them, the homogeneity may increase intimacy in each subgroup while the heterogeneity may increase exclusiveness between those subgroups. We argued that a leader could play an important role to build a cooperative relationship between faultline-based subgroups and highlight positive aspects of developing and maintaining subgroups in organizations. With a sample of 81 teams (558 employees), it was examined how leader teamwork behaviors would affect a team-level climate of support for innovation and how this relationship would be moderated by each team’s demographic faultline (gender, age, and educational specialty). As predicted, it was found that there was a significant positive relationship between each leader’s teamwork behaviors and each team’s climate of support for innovation. In addition, this relationship was stronger for teams with strong faultline than with weak faultline. Our findings and their implications were further discussed.

        To select fruit trees suitable for shaded urban garden with Elaeagnus umbellata var. coreana, Malus domestica 'Alps Otome', Malus domestica 'Fujii', Prunus mume, Prunus persica for. persica, Rubus fructicosus, and Vaccinium corymbosum 'Reka', leaf growth in response to different light was investigated two years after 35% shade treatment. Leaf area of E. umbellata var. coreana, M. domestica 'Alps Otome', P. mume, P. persica for. persica, and V. corymbosum 'Reka' increased in shading. Fresh weight of leaves make inconsistent response to shading in every species but dry weight of E. umbellata var. coreana and P. persica for. persica showed the highest 150% and 148%, increment, respectively. Althought leaf water content of E. umbellata var. coreana decreased in shading, there is no difference in P. persica for. persica. Chlorophyll value of E. umbellata var. coreana and P. persica for. persica that showed higher than any other species is correlated with dark leaf green. Compared to specific leaf weight of E. umbellata var. coreana, P. persica for. persica, and V. corymbosum 'Reka' showed lower than any other species in shading, that of M. domestica 'Fujii', and R. fructicosus increased in reverse. These results indicate that E. umbellata var. coreana and P. persica for. persica that showed high value in several invesetigaton items are suitable for shady urban condition considering leaf growth in response to shading.

        Fruit trees are a key part of agriculture in rural areas and have recently been a part of ecotourism or agrotourism. This study analyzes user segmentation based on user motivation to determine characteristics of potential customers in fruit tree farms, and thereby develop fruit tree experience and educational programs. We conducted a survey of 253 potential customers of fruit tree experience programs in September 2017. Data were evaluated using factor and cluster analyses. The results of the cluster analysis identified four distinct segments based on potential customers' motivations, that is, activity-oriented, learning-oriented, leisure-oriented, and purchase-oriented. These clusters showed that significant differences in the preference of potential customers exist. Different markets were segmented based on the benefits sought by users. The segments’ characteristics were identified and activities relevant to each segment were proposed for rural tourism. Lastly, this study suggests directions for development of fruit tree farm experience and educational programs.

        본 연구는 잠재적인 생균제제 Lactobacillus plantarum P1201에 의한 유색 소립콩 분말 두유의 젖산발효 중 이화학적 특성, 총 페놀릭스와 이소플라본 함량 및 항산화 활성(DPPH와 ABTS 라디칼 소거활성 및 FRAP 환원력) 변화를 연구하였다. 콩 분말 두유의 발효 중 pH는 감소하였으나, 산도, 생균수 및 β-glucosidase 활성은 증가하였다. 총 이소플라본 함량은 풍산나물콩이 다른 유색 소립콩보다 함량이 높았다. 발효과정에서 배당체 이소플라본인 daidzin과 genistin 함량은 감소하였고 이에 상응하여 비배당체 이소플라본인 daidzein과 genistein 함량은 급격히 증가하였다. 특히, 발효 60시간 후 발효된 풍산나물콩 분말 두유의 daidzein과 genistein 함량은 87.37 μg/g and 51.29 μg/g으로 다른 시료들보다 함량이 가장 높았다. 총 페놀릭스 함량은 다른이 다른 유색 소립콩보다 함량이 높았다. 총 페놀릭스 함량은 색 소립콩 분말 두유의 젖산발효 중 0.44-2.92 mg/g(0 h)에서 1.79-3.03 mg/g(60 h)로 급격히 증가하였다. 끝으로, 발효된 콩 분말 두유는 DPPH와 ABTS 라디칼 소거활성 및 FRAP 환원력은 각각 28.7-40.6에서 90-95.3%, 25.1-42.3에서 51.4-82.8% 및 0.73-1.54에서 0.98-1.79(OD593nm)로 증가하였다. 발효된 콩 분말 두유는 유색 소립콩의 가치를 증대시킬 수 있다.
