        In this study, for the rapid transit of urban and metropolitan railways, the installation of passing loop tunnel in the underground section of urban railroads in operation is reviewed. Unlike road tunnels, it is difficult to secure working spaces because the railwau tunnel is very narrow, impossible to bypass, and related facilities such as overhead wire exist. In addition, urban railways have limitations that must be carried out without blocking the existing trains or construction within four hours when the trains are not running. Therefore, in this study, the construction plan of passing loop tunnel during railway operation for the rapid transit was reviewed.

        Depending on the speed up of railway noise problem has become increasingly serious. In general, under the same conditions when the vehicle speed is 300km/h in a 400km/h increases, it is known that an increase in the noise level of 6 to 7dB. Railway Noise can be reduced by improving the vehicle and the track system. Also, the noise barrier and sound absorbing block may be a valid alternative to reduce railway noise. Here we propose a construction method of absorbing blocks are removable to allow maintenance.

        To manage the data measured from Honam high-speed railroad(HSR) infrastructure(environmental noise reduction structures, track structures, catenary system), we are trying to establish an integrated database through analysis of the developed infrastructure technologies and standards, construction of prototypes on the fields and evaluation of infrastructure performance according to the increment of train speed. In this paper, integrated monitoring center for management of measured data is suggested.

        Recently, Advanced automated infrastructure measurements have been made in the Honam high speed railway test-bed. In the future, Real time measurements will be the common based on these technologies. Here, we looked at the domestic and international trends and utilizing the inspection method of Railway Structures using self-powered sensors and wireless network technologies.

        Test-bed was constructed in Honam High-speed railway due to evaluate the suitable infrastructure for operation of 400km/h level speed. To evaluate performance of roadbed in test-bed, several sensors installed in the standard roadbed, soft ground, transition zone as bridge and earthwork. In contrast to existing long-term monitoring, system developed was designed and builted on site to log-time operation automatically. Therefore, the measured data collected monitoring system and analysis results can be databased continuously from construction to operation of railway for study design criteria about long-term behavior of roadbed.

        Needs for a new technologies of infrastructure systems arose, following the development of next generation EMU(Electric Multiple Unit) train with maximum speed over 400km/h. For high-speed operation tests of the new EMU, a high-speed railway infrastructure test-bed was constructed in a 28km long section of the Honam High-speed Railway. Diverse sensors and monitoring system was installed for continuous monitoring of the railway. Due to such effort, further demands and needs of the integrated monitoring system was derived in a more comprehensive and long-term perspective.

        Research results of High Speed Railroad Infrastructure Research Team are included in the fields of environmental noise reduction, the design criteria of high-speed railroad structures, catenary system, train control system. Therefore, we will apply these research results to test-bed in Honam high speed railroad and verify them.

        지구온난화에 의한 이상기후는 대기온도 상승과 함께 태풍 등의 대형 강우와 강풍, 강설 등의 자연현상을 유발하며, 이로 인하여 SOC 시설물의 안전이 상시 위험에 노출되어 있다. 매년 전국적으로 공공시설의 피해가 지속적으로 발생하고 있으며, 피해지역에 대한 응급복구를 위해 많은 예산이 투입되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 재해 발생시 신속한 대응과 효율적인 복구를 위하여 원스톱 통합관리시스템의 개념설계를 수행하였다. SOC 시설물 통합관리시스템은 지능형 영상정보 통제센터, e-문서 네트워크, 스트림 피해통합분석 플랫폼, 최적 응급복구 지원 플랫폼으로 구성되며, 내부에서 서로 유기적으로 연결되어 하나의 시스템으로 통합운영된다. 시설물에 재해 피해가 발생하면 피해 영상정보와 안전도, 위험도 정보가 수집되고 이를 바탕으로 피해유형을 자동으로 분석하게 되며, 피해복구 시나리오에 기반하여 복구지원을 수행하게 된다. 피해복구 시나리오는 피해복구공법, 복구자원 현황, 우선순위 등을 고려하여 수립된다. 본 시스템의 개발을 통해서 재해대응속도를 향상시키고, 복구비용을 저감시킬 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

        After test track was constructed in 2009, maintenance works have performed for 14 months to check the stability of station for bimodal tram. Consequently, station’s main body, infrastructure system as gate and ticket machine, passenger safety system, service information and guidance system, and operation management system have no problems except for minor problems such as main body’s acrylic products falling.

        The schedule speed is one of the most important elements of railway industry. In korea, Gyeongbu Line’s highest speed is 300km/h. But it’s schedule-speed is no more than about 174km/h from Seoul to Busan. In this study, we analyzed the effect of the proposed improvements in the speed reduction zone using Train Performance Simulation. We found that the improvements can raise the schedule speed from 15 to 20%.

        In 2004, 300km/h speed of high-speed rail was introduced in Korea. In recent years, policies and technologies are being developed with the goal of increased speed higher than 400km/h. HEMU-430X vehicles have been developed during the test, and technology-related infrastructure is under development. In addition, studies are underway for improving the speed of 500km/h or more. In more than 400km/h, track irregularity due to bearing force of track is increasing rapidly. In this study, applicability for the track structure with steel sleeper, to investigate alternatives that can reduce bearing force of track and maintenance costs.
