        목적: 안경렌즈의 주변부를 통해서 주시할 때 발생하는 굴절의 변화를 살펴보았다. 방법: 렌즈의 주변부를 통해 봤을 때 굴절력의 변화를 측정하기 위해 렌즈미터의 렌즈 받침부(lens support)로부터 25mm아래에 있는 회전축을 중심으로 주시각도만큼 렌즈가 기울어진 상태에서 렌즈미터로 굴절력을 측정하였으며, 광학중심부와 주변부에서 측정한 굴절력과 비교하였다. 또한 주시각도에 따른 두께의 변화와 정점간 거리의 변화가 굴절에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 결과: 주시각도가 커짐에 따라 시선이 지나가는 렌즈의 두께는 증가하지만 교정굴절력에 큰 영향을 미칠 정도는 아니었다. 주시각도가 증가하면 정점간 거리도 증가하게 되며 추가 (-)굴절력이 필요하다. 주시각도가 30゚이내일 때 추가 굴절력은 –0.1D이하이다. 주시각도가 증가할 때 최소굴절력(구면굴절력)은 기준굴절력과 대체로 큰 차이가 없었다. 원주굴절력은 주시각도 10゚정도까지는 거의 발생되지 않았으나 주시각도가 증가함에 따라 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 결론: 주변시에서 비점수차 등의 수차에 의한 굴절력의 변화는 렌즈의 사용 환경과 취급에서 고려되어야 할 것이다.

        In Jeju cirtrus orchards, Panonychus citri, citrus red mite is the most important pest requiring 3 times acaricide sprays. In open field conventional orchards, P. citri usually shows three population peaks; from end of Jun to July, from end of Aug. to Sep., from end of Oct. to Nov. However, natural enemy complex and its function regulating P.citri are poorly understood. From the survey of P.citri natural enemy in citrus orchard in Jeju from 2004 to 2006, predatory beetle, Oligota spp. was most abundant. Three predatory mite, N. californicus, Amblyseius eharai, and N. barkeri, were identified. Among them, the predatory mite, Neoseiulus californicus (McGregor) (Acari: Phytoseiidae), was first found in Korea. Even though it was first found, N. californicus was the dominant species occupying 84% of phytoseiid mites. These predatory mites mostly occurred in Jun and peaked at July, which was accorded with the high humidity season of the year. From the survey, the density relationship with P. citri was unclear. From the study conducted in 2005-2007, N. californicus was more abundant in greenhouse citrus (var. Shirahuhi) than in open field orchards; conventional or organic mandarine citrus. In greenhouse citrus, phytoseiid mites showed suppressing P. citri population. As a next step, the inundative biological control study was conducted using commercial strain of N. californicus, which was originated from Jeju, 2005, in greenhouse citrus. One thousand N. californicus per 1a were released 2 times at 10 day interval on citrus leaves when the initial density of P. citri was about 0.2 per leaf. The release effects were variable depending on the field condition. However, N. californicus did successfully reduce P. citri in greenhouse citrus orchards.

        폴리스티렌-폴리히드록시에틸 아크릴레이트(PS-b-PHEA) 디블록 공중합체와 폴리비닐알콜(PVA)을 1 : 1 무게비로 블렌딩하여 수소 이온 전도성 가교형 고분자 전해질막을 개발하였다. 특히 술포석시닉산(SA)를 사용하여 디블록 공중합체의 PHEA 블록과 PVA와 가교반응을 시켰고, 이를 FT-IR 분광법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 이온교환능(IEC)은 SA 함량이 증가함에 따라 계속하여 증가하여 0.95 meq/g까지 도달하였고, 이는 전해질막에 이온 그룹수가 증가하기 때문이다. 하지만, 함수율은 SA 함량이 20 wt%까지는 증가하다 그 이상에서는 감소하였다. 또한 수소 이온 전도도도 SA 함량에 따라 증가하여 20 wt% SA농도에서 0.024 S/cm의 최대값을 나타내었다. 함수율과 수소이온전도도의 이러한 경향은 SA 함량이 증가함에 따라 이온 그룹의 수가 증가하는 효과와 가교가 증가하는 효과가 서로 경쟁적으로 일어나기 때문으로 생각된다.

        AUDIT-K(한국형 알코올 중독 간이선별 검사법)을 이용하여 일상적으로 생활하고 있는 상당수의 잠재적인 위험 음주자들을 선별 할 수 있었으며 연령, 종교, 결혼여부, 직업, 소득음주사망 가족력, 음주시작 연령, 흡연, BMI(체질량지수)는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었으며, 학력, 음주기간만 통계적으로 유의하였다. 이러한 결과는 교육을 더 받은 사람의 남성이 알코올 소비가 더 높다고 한 선행연구와 부합하는 결과를 나타내었으며 교육수준 또한 무엇을 어떻게 배웠는가에 따른 차이를 살펴 볼 필요가 있음을 시사하며, 교육에 따른 알코올 소비도 각각 다른 결과를 나타냄을 알 수 있다. 또한 나이가 적을수록 술을 많이 마시면 음주기간이 길어질 것이고 기존의 음주시작 연령에 대한 연구와 일치하는 결과가 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 음주 기간이 알코올 사용 장애의 가장 큰 요인이었으며 음주 기간을 단축하기 위한 방법으로는 음주 시작연령을 최대한 늦출 수 있는 국가 정부 제도의 대책 및 교육이 필요하다고 생각된다.

        Background : Indigenous plant in Jeju island, Sasa quelpaertensis Nakai, belongs to the Bambusoideae and inhabit around Mt. Halla. According to the ancient book such as Dongui Bogam, Sasa quelpaertensis Nakai have been known to possess the antidiabetic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-diuresis effect. However, because of gradual upturning temperature, Sasa quelpaertensis Nakai was spread out to wider area and intrude the habitat that other plant species are growing. Recently, although the study to seek effective use of Sasa quelpaertensis Nakai, the investigation about functional properties has not been taken place enough. Methods and Results : To assess the inhibitory activity of melanin synthesis, we employ the tyrosine as substrate and measure the formation of dopaquione at 490 nm. Firstly, 0.1 mM potassium phosphate buffer and tyrosinase were mixed and incubated at 37℃. After incubating at 37℃, the absorbance rate was measured at 490 nm. The value was compared with positive control, arbutin, and calculated with the rate between sample and control value. Previously, formononetin, glabrene, glabridin, glabrol, artocarbene, dihydromoriin are known as effective substances for whitening. Moreover, the arbutin, which was separated from Arctostaphylos uva-ursi (L.) Sprengel, are widely used in cosmetic field. Arbutin inhibits tyrosinase and tyrosine synthesis, which induce blackish pigmentation. Practically, the Sasa quelpaertensis Nakai leaf ethanol extract depend on different solvent condition, whole extracts showed stronger inhibition than arbutin. Especially, 60% ethanol extract exhibited twice higher tyrosinase inhibitory activity than arbutin, whereas least inhibitory activity was seen in 20% ethanol extract. Conclusion : In this study, a attempt was made to investigate the tyrosinase inhibitory activity of Sasa quelpaertensis Nakai leaves extracted by different solvent condition. In the results, each extracts was prior to arbutin. Yet, 20% ethanol extract was lowest, but on the one hand, 60% ethanol extract demonstrated the highest tyrosinase inhibitory activity.

        “Yeonganbyeo”, a new japonica rice variety (Oryza sativa L.), is a mid- maturing ecotype with high lysine content in kernels that was developed by the rice breeding team of National Yeongnam Agricultural Experiment Station (NYAES) in 2001 and released in 2002. This variety was originated from the single cross of Milyang 122/YR13616 Acp1 (in 1992/1993 winter) and was selected by means of a mixed method of bulk and pedigree breeding. The pedigree of “Yeonganbyeo” was YR15815-B-B-B-30 and designated in 1998 as “Milyang 164”. It has about 83cm in culm length with lodging tolerance. This variety is resistant to bacterial leaf blight (K1, K2, K3), stripe virus, and moderately resistant to leaf blast disease. Milled rice kernels of “Yeonganbyeo” has high lysine content of 4.31% (ratio of amino acid components in total protein), a clear translucent with non-glutinous endosperm and clear in chalkness and good at eating quality by pannel test. The yield potential of “Yeonganbyeo” in milled rice is about 5.45 MT/ha at ordinary fertilizer level of local adaptability test. This cultivar would be adaptable to the southern plain of Korea.
