        조타에 의해 불규칙파 중 선박의 선수동요 및 횡요를 제어하는 횡요 감소시스템에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 횡요를 포함한 선박 운동 시뮬레이션을 위해 4-자유도 조종 운동방정식을 사용하였고, 선체에 가해지는 외력으로서 파강제력이 고려되었다. 파강제력은 3차원 특이점 분포법에서 얻어진 주파수 전달함수로부터 시간영역해석법을 적용하였다. 선수동요와 횡요를 제어하는 PD 제어기를 각각 구성하고, 이를 선형 결합하여 횡요 감소 조타 제어기를 구성하였다. 조타 속도 및 타의 종류를 변화시켜 선수동요 및 횡요의 제어효율을 검토하였다.

        본 논문은 선박비상조명용 디지털 전원장치의 개발에 관해 연구하였으며, 비상조명용 전원장치는 비상급전시스템, 반 브리지 인버터, 형광램프 기동회로 및 마이크로프로세서 제어시스템 등으로 구성되어 있다. 실험을 통하여 기존의 아날로그형 비상급전시스템에 비해 신속하고 안정된 전력이 공급되고 있음을 확인하고, 인버터의 펄스주파수 가변에 의한 조명제어가 잘 이루어지고 있음을 확인한다.

        심전도 측정기와 청진기를 통하여 획득된 심전도와 심음도는 비관혈적 방법으로 환자를 진단할 수 있는 생체신호이며, 의사들의 진단도구로 널리 이용되어져 왔다. 그러나 의사들이 심전도 측정기나 청진기를 이용하여 환자를 진단하는 장소는 병원 내 진료실과 응급실로 한정되어 있기 때문에, 병원에서 거리가 먼 원거리 지역이나 자동차, 비행기, 선박에서는 환자의 심음을 확인할 수 없다. 특히, 원양항해에 종사하는 선박 환자는 전문 의료진으로부터 진료를 받을 수 없는 경우가 있다. 본 논문에서는 환자의 심음 및 심전을 용이하게 측정함으로써 PC기반의 선박용 디지털 심전도 및 청진기를 개발하였으며, 해상 원격진료의 출현을 앞 당길 수 있으리라 본다.

        본 연구의 목적은 항해하고 있는 선박의 항해안전성을 평가할 수 있는 탑재형 내항성능 평가시스템 개발을 위한 각 내항성능 평가요소에 대한 상대위험도 D/B를 구축하고자 한다. 탑재형 내항성능 평가시스템은, 선박에 설치하여 선체 운동에 의해 발생하는 상하방향의 가속도를 측정하는 상하가속도 측정기와, 선박의 항해 안전성을 평가하는 종합내항성능지표를 계산하는 컴퓨터 및 종합내항성능지표를 토대로 내항성능 평가도 및 경과도를 모니터 화상 처리 공간상에 표시되도록 구성되어진다. 본 논문에서는 이중에서 선박의 변환 평가치 및 한계 평가치를 사용하여 파랑 중 선박의 종합적인 항해안전성을 평가하는 종합내향성능지표를 계산하는데 필요한 내항성능 평가 프로그램의 알고리즘에서 중요한 역할을 담당하는 내항성능 평가요소의 상대위험도 D/B를 구축하는 방법을 제시한다. 그리고 모델 선박을 사용하여 구축된 상대위험도 함수가 주어진 화물 적재상태, 해상상태, 파향 및 선속에 대한 해당 조건을 토대로 내항성능 평가 프로그램에서 정확하게 구현될 수 있는지를 검토하였다.

        A recycling process for the waste FRP from boats was developed. The recycling process is composed of decomposition of waste FRP with propylene glycol and synthesis of recycled unsaturated polyester resin from the decomposed liquid material. Prior to the decomposition, waste FRP was cut into 2cm x 5cm segments and mechanical impact was applied by press roller to give gaps between cumulated laminates. Propylene glycol effectively decomposed the waste FRP segments and glass fibers were easily separated from decomposed liquid material. Recycled unsaturated polyester resin could be made from the decomposed liquid material by reaction with maleic anhydride and phthalic anhydride.

        본 논문에서는 선박에서 장부상의 수기기록으로 보관되는 의약품에 대한 관리를 데이터베이스화하여 효율적으로 관리하고 환자에 대한 약품투여내역을 전산화함으로써 선원 개개인에 대한 건강상태와 약품 오남용을 파악할 수 있게 하였다. 노한 선박에서 의약품 재고에 대 한 세부내역을 무선 통신망을 통하여 원격 전송함으로써 선박 의약품 비치기준량을 파악하는데 필요한 시간과 업무량을 감소시켰다. 협소한 통신대역폭을 감안하여 서버모듈과 클라이언트모듈을 개발하되, 이에 따른 의약품 코드체계와 프로토콜을 설정하였으며, 선박에서 원격 데이터베이스의 약품정보를 전송할 수 있게 하였다.

        수색구조 작업에서 표류지점 추정 모델을 윈도우 운영체계에서 쉽게 운영할 수 있는 GUI 프로그램을 개발하였다. 운영자가 화면의 선택사항을 보고 표류물체의 종류와 해상환경 조건을 입력시킬 수 있도록 하였고, 계산된 추정 점 및 선박의 표류 궤적이 좌표와 함께 전자해도상에 표시되게 하여 현장에서 쉽게 예측결과를 알 수 있도록 하였다. 프로그램에는 Leeway공식을 사용하는 방식과 Newton의 운동방정식에서 해를 구하는 방식을 사용하였다. 프로그래밍에 사용된 언어는 FORTRAN이고, 그래픽 처리를 위해 Lahey의 Winteracter 4.0을 활용하였다. 모델의 시연을 위해 2001년 5월 부산 근해에서 수행된 현장실험 결과와 예측 모델에 의한 결과를 비교·도시하였다.

        This study aims to develop the information service system of integrated seakeeping performance for seagoing vessels. It has been successful in developing the intended system which has made possible to provide the following functions and capabilities: ⦁ immediate computation of the dynamic motions of a ship against the present and future weather conditions; ⦁ evaluation of the integrated seakeeping performance of a ship on a real time basis and providing the navigators with the seakeeping informations on the spot enabling them to take the most appropriate countermeasures; and ⦁ supporting the navigators in the selection of a safe sailing route by providing the integrateseakeeping performance.

        This paper aims to explore effective ways to improve inspection service and develop customer-centered inspection administration, by carrying out a case study on the K Society of Ship Inspection. The methods applied for this research project are as follows, 1) sector-based examination of the existence of the ISO 9001 system; 2) evaluation or the operation or the system; 3) conduction or a survey questionnaire with the participation of all staff and inspections institutes to analyze customer satisfaction of their inspection service, and 4) statistical analysis of the data collected from the survey questionnaire.

        The paper deals with the implementation of prototype Ship Simulator system (VRSS) by Virtual Reality techniques with Head Mounted Display (HMD) device. The prototype VRSS was consists of PC-based human sensors, object oriented operating system. In addition, two kinds of databases arranged from Head Related Transfer Functions and 3D object models were used to create 3D sea sound, and to construct virtual world, respectively. Using the prototype system, we carried out some simulation tests for the overtaking situation to prevent collisions at sea, and discussed on the usability of the system. As results from simulations, the prototype VRSS can provide multisensory and interactive display environment. The results gave rise to the user interaction with 3D objects that give realistic reproduction of navigational environments under a given scenario. Thus, we found that the prototype VRSS should be one of the next-generation ship simulation system.

        From a ship's safe operation point of view, it is very important to estimate the navigational safety in a seaway. The seakeeping performance can be defined as the ability of a ship to go to sea, and to accomplish its missions successfully and safely even in adverse environmental conditions. There are several factors presently adopted for evaluating seakeeping performance. But a hardware of the system considering all these factors has not been developed since some of them can not be measured by sensors. In this paper, a synthetic method of evaluating navigational safety is developed by measuring the vertical and lateral acceleration. An experiment by using real measuring carried out on board the T/S 'HANNARA' The equipment was measured every 4 hours for more than 30 minutes the acceleration by accelerometer, analyzed its acceleration values and calculated navigational dangerousness. As the results of this on board experiment, the system is carried conviction to be useful as evaluating seakeeping performance.

        In this paper, we developed the Realtime Ship Position Information System and the software in relation to the system, which consists of the on-board system and the shore-based system. The on-board system is composed a GPS receiver, a computer, and a modem. The shore-based system is composed of a telephone, a modem and a computer. Both systems are operated by the data communication program The system displays automatically the ship's movement on the digital chart by using the ship's position acquired by a GPS receiver via INMARSAT-A communication system. The results presented in many experiments indicate that the system in processing the position data well during the transmission and reception.

        Air quality modeling about coastal urban region such as Pusan shoud be consider shipping source emmited from ships anchoraging and running. It has been proved at our previous studies that the ratios of air pollutants emission amount in coastal area to inland are 12.2% for NO2 and 11.7% for SO2 and the air quality of coastal urban area consierably counts on ships. Also the dispersion pattern of the air pollutants followed local circulation system in this region. Therefore this study has been developed air quality model which can describe the formation, transport, transformation and deposition processes of air pollutants considering shipping source. Currently, restriction for emission amount of ships does not exist, so our study will be useful to set the emission standard and for devising air quality policy in coastal urban region.

        The fundamental objectives of vessel traffic services (VTS) are the safety of traffic, efficient traffic flow and the protection of marine environment. And the coverge of VTS is used to be within the port and their approaches. It , however, is tend to expand the coverge beyond the radar coverage and the vessel carrying dangerous cargo. Therefore this study aims to investigate the international tendancy of the extended VTS system, and take a field test of using KOREASAT for the extended VTS system in Korean coastal waters. As the results of the test, KOREASAT is proved to be one of the alternatives for extended VTS system.

        This is the first report about the development of INMARSAT-C Satellite communication terminal. We analyze the existing Inmarsat-C terminal and examine each rules(IMO rule, domestic rules) about terminal. With that result, we design the basic hardware and software of terminal. This report consists of ; 1) the contents of the overall of operating situation and resources of INMARSAT-C system as like operation of communication system, communication channels and services 2) the contents of the specification of Inmarsat-C terminal hardware and software and the rules of IMO and Type approval 3) the design of basic hardware and reserch of signal modulation/demodulation using Viterbi algorithm 4) the design of software algorithms and functions focused in korean situations.

        Most of the ShipHandling Simulators of full-mission-bridge system need vast area to install and even PC-based maneuvering simulators are often equipped with Steering Wheel or Engine Telegraphe etc. of data input interface, which necessarily makes the user face with excessive financial burden. These have been one of the obstacles for the officers, captains, pilots and students in access to maneuvering simulation whenever they want to try it in advance prior to actual ship maneuvering. Subsequently, all the officers and captains come to have little chances to train themselves until they arualified as a pilot after a long period of time of realship maneuvering practice on board, which means they have to control they have to control their own ship at sea without clear understanding on her maneuverability when they are forced to do it on the way. And these lack of capability for maneuvering have used so often to result in marine casualties of collision with other ships or pier facilities while maneuvering in harbor. To prevent those accidents by means of enhancing their maneuvering ability, PC-based DeskTop Simulator that allows anyong to access readily at anytime is needed and in conformation to such demand this simulator has been developed. The Software this simulator written in Turbo Pascal Ver. 5.0 has adopted MMG mathmatical model theoretically in part and also it was designed to make it possible that all numeric data inputs and outputs with graphic presentation for maneuvering operation be carried out just only with keyboard and monitor console. With the Simulation software, all the officers, captains, pilots and even students who has a proper computer at hand are expected to be able to make an attempt to simulate the maneuvering of their ownship or any other types of them at any port in which they want to do it.

        In this study, an interface is developed in compliance with the standards which is made by National M.E.A in U.S.A for transmitting the Marine Gyrocompass information. The interface consists of Bearing Signal Transfer, Bearing Signal Demodulator, Bearing Signal Discriminator, Bearing Counter and, Informatioin Tranmitter. The results are as follows : The transmission of bearing information was achieved successfully on the Marine RADAR by the interface tranmitting for the Marine Gyrocompass. And, newly proposed phase-detector in Bearing Signal Discriminator which method is forcibly reset the previous data of D-T Flip Flop can be solved the problems of the delay in phase discrimination and the unstableness in the boundary areas of input signal.

        The recently-developed automated vessels require a system which evaluates the operating conditions of the ship at present position from weather information as well as sensors ; forecasting the operations condition in the state to come in foreseeable future ; and suggests the optimum course and speed for ship's safety. According to a study, deck wetness, propeller racing, slamming. rolling, vertical acceleration, lateral acceleration, vertical bending moment at midship etc. were chosen as the factors for evaluating seakeeping performance. As a matter of act, there is no developing the hardware of a system which could consider all the factors on seakeeping performance. This study introduces a theoretical method which makes it possible to evaluate the seakeeping performance by applying a theory from reliability engineering, and thereby establishing a safety space. The author adopts rolling and pitching as the factors on seakeeping performance by clarifying the correlation of stochastic processes the factors presently adopted for evaluation system in consideration of the safety of human being, cargoes and the ship. This method of evaluation shall be of much use in developing the practical system of seakeeping performance of a ship in waves.

        In this study, the self test-system for the marine Gyrocompass was developed and the obtained results are summarized as follows : 1) Utilizing the newly developed self-test system, the time length for observing the transient state of Gyrocompass reading which has been over 4 hours can be reduced to less than 20 minutes. In addition, the dynamic characteristics of the Gyrocompass can be measured within 2 hours after starting the system. 2) Prior test and diagnosis was done by checking all parameters recurrently with period of 2.5minutes. 3) Testing and diagnosis results was shown in graphic mode and could be transmitted to INMARSAT unit using personal computer. 4) The results of the newly designed trouble algorithm for the system was found to be applicable under arbitrary given conditions.
