From a ship's safe operation point of view, it is very important to estimate the navigational safety in a seaway. The seakeeping performance can be defined as the ability of a ship to go to sea, and to accomplish its missions successfully and safely even in adverse environmental conditions. There are several factors presently adopted for evaluating seakeeping performance. But a hardware of the system considering all these factors has not been developed since some of them can not be measured by sensors. In this paper, a synthetic method of evaluating navigational safety is developed by measuring the vertical and lateral acceleration. An experiment by using real measuring carried out on board the T/S 'HANNARA' The equipment was measured every 4 hours for more than 30 minutes the acceleration by accelerometer, analyzed its acceleration values and calculated navigational dangerousness. As the results of this on board experiment, the system is carried conviction to be useful as evaluating seakeeping performance.

본 논문에서는 손상선박의 안전대책에 관한 연구의 일환으로서, 황천항행중인 선박이 충돌, 좌초 등 원인에 의해 조종불능이 되었을 때를 가상하고, 예선ㆍ피예선계의 침로안정성에 미치는 풍향, 풍속, 예항삭의 길이의 영향을 이론적으로 검토하고, 풍압하에서 피예선을 다른 안전한 장소로의 예항에 대하여 하나의 지침을 주는 것을 목적으로 한다. 여기에서 실선은 Hulk carrier와 Passenger liner를 모델로 삼았고 외력으로서는 파도가 충분히 발달되지 않은 바람이 부는 초기상태 혹은 저속으로 항행하는 상태를 고려하여 바람의 영향만을 취급하며 피예선은 조타를 하지 아니한다.

In order to improve the ship maneuverability, It is important to estimate precisely the hydrodynamic coefficients of added mass forces acting on a ship especially in shallow waters, and simple methods for predicting such hydrodynamic forces Is also very desirable. In the previous paper using 3-Dimension potential flow theory, it has been demonstrated that potential calculation is available to estimate added mass coefficients. The present work is aimed at the suggestion of the simplified formulas for predicting the translation and lateral motion of added mass coefficients in shallow water. So, 3-D potential flow theory is also used to calculate the added mass coefficients in deep and shallow waters for Series 60 model which has 5 different kinds of block coefficients (0.6-0.8), SR196 model and T/S HANNARA. After some series computation, simplified formulas for Predicting the added mass force in shallow waters is suggested based on the computation results of Series 60 model. The formulas consist of the combination of principal dimensions and the water depth; d/B, Cb, d/H. The predicted results are compared with the Computation results for SR196 model and T/S HANNARA. The precision of predicted results by simplified formulas are good enough for the practical use. (d/B : draft-Breadth ratio, d/H draft-Water depth ratio, Cb : Block coefficients).

The paper deals with the implementation of prototype Ship Simulator system (VRSS) by Virtual Reality techniques with Head Mounted Display (HMD) device. The prototype VRSS was consists of PC-based human sensors, object oriented operating system. In addition, two kinds of databases arranged from Head Related Transfer Functions and 3D object models were used to create 3D sea sound, and to construct virtual world, respectively. Using the prototype system, we carried out some simulation tests for the overtaking situation to prevent collisions at sea, and discussed on the usability of the system. As results from simulations, the prototype VRSS can provide multisensory and interactive display environment. The results gave rise to the user interaction with 3D objects that give realistic reproduction of navigational environments under a given scenario. Thus, we found that the prototype VRSS should be one of the next-generation ship simulation system.

In servo-system which need fast response and accuracy, PID controller has a good steady-state performance, but has a poor transient response performance causing a load be changed. Compared to these features, FLC(Fuzzy Logic Controller) has a good transient response performance for changed load, but has a little Poor steady-state performance. In this paper, Compensated Fuzay Controller which consists of PID controller and FLC is proposed to modify these disadvantages and is examined through simulation to evaluate its functions.

In this paper, we propose the Chaos Fuzzy controller to analyze the chaotic character of time series obtained from the specific plant and to predict the short-term for power consumption of the plant using the Fuzzy controller. We compared the predicted data with the active ones and checked the error generated by them after we time series of supplied power to the proposed controller. As a result of the simulation, we obtained a admirable consequence that the proposed controller can be advanced through various and accurate data acquisition, and continuous analysis of the resident and industrial environment.

When the GPS system was come to the operation, the U.S Coast Guard initiated development of differential GPS system based on a marine radiobeacon. It has rapidly been spread out to many countries. DGPS equals to P(Y) code in a positioning accuracy. USA has recently determined to expand the coverage of DGPS to inland in order to install a nationwide DGPS chain. Korea is under processing for improving the DGPS as a nationwide positioning system. Before expanding the service area inside Korea, we need to verify the relation between the field strength and DGPS accuracy for the service area. The Japanese DGPS data is received in the southern Part of the Korean peninsula. The Korean DGPS was not a complete system, so we selected the Japanese DGPS data as a model for the study. This paper investigate accuracy and reliability characteristics of RBN/DGPS over the effective service area. Through the experimental and simulation study, we obtained the reliable and stable positioning accuracy in the southern part of the Korean peninsula. In addition, the characteristics of RBN/DGPS were examined in the land over the effective coverage from Japan. The results would be a basic reference to research the RBN/NDGPS in Korea.

The -advent of electronic navigation equipment and trustworthy computer which provides people with convenience made the management system by one-man bridge operation or the least people who are needed possible through the integration of communication network with various navigation equipment and related institution. One of the most needed ultra-modem navigation device for a mate, ECDIS is a core equipment for navigation in ENS that notifies peril to mate as well as supervises all tasks in hydrographical chart, voyage planning, course monitoring and voyage recording. We should make coast and ocean voyage planning first, for the secure navigation which is considering the course circumstances and next, for the reduction of voyage dates in economical aspect. There needs a thoughtful consideration about the feature of the ship itself and the course with weather condition in taking up the course and also we have to take into accounts about appropriate distance between ships. Considering the essential conditions of ECDIS the indispensable device in the future, it was developed the basic principle for voyage planning algorithm for officer and programmed to real implementation available. In this paper including most of the requirements in ECDIS performance standard I mentioned about such a basic and a core Principle with real application by using the Visual C++ programming language. The voyage plan includes the function that indicate and modifies all the way points in the course from department port to arrival port with erasing the wrong way points. Also, it provides in a document form that shows ETA at glance in average speed sailing.

우리나라 정기선사는 1970년대 이후 경쟁선사와 다양한 형태의 전략적 제휴를 통하여 꾸준히 성장하여 왔으며 오늘날 세계 정기선시장에서 경쟁우위를 확보하게 되었다. 따라서 우리나라 정기선사의 전략적 제휴에 관한 연구는 제휴전략에 관한 이론을 더욱 더 발전시키는데 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다. 이에 따라 본 논문은 정기선사의 경영전략과 전략적 제휴의 역할에 관하여 연구하고자 하며, 다음의 세 가지 연구 질문을 통하여 분석하였다. 첫째, 정기선사의 제휴동기는 무엇인가\ulcorner 둘째, 제휴형태에 따라 제휴동기에 차이점이 있는가\ulcorner 셋째, 정기선사의 경영전략이 제휴형태의 선택에 영향을 미치는가\ulcorner 자료수집 방법은 전략적 제휴의 경험이 있는 해운선사를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시했으며, 각 선사의 제휴 의사결정에 참여하는 담당자와 인터뷰를 통하여 연구목적과 관련된 자료를 수집하였다. 자료분석의 결과, 우리나라 정기선사는 여러 가지 동기에 의하여 제휴를 선택하고, 제휴형태에 따라 각 동기의 중요도에 차이가 있음을 나타내고 있다. 또한, 정기선사의 경영전략이 제휴형태의 선택에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 한편 본 논문은 경영전략에 따른 정기선사의 올바른 제휴형태 선택에 도움을 주는 의사결정 모델을 제시하고 있다.
