        For electrodes in electrochemical double-layer capacitors, carbon nanofibers (CNFs) were prepared by thermal treatment of precursor polymer nanofibers, fabricated by electrospinning. Poly(acrylonitrile-co-vinylimidazole) (PAV) was employed as a precursor polymer of carbon nanofibers due to the effective cyclization of PAV polymer chains during thermal treatment compared to a typical precursor, polyacrylonitrile (PAN). PAV solutions with different comonomer compositions were prepared and electrospun to produce precursor nanofibers. Surface images obtained from scanning electron microscopy showed that their nanofibrous structure was well preserved after carbonization. It was also confirmed that electrospun PAV nanofibers were successfully converted to carbon nanofibers after the carbonization step by Raman spectroscopy. Carbon nanofiber electrodes derived from PAV showed higher specific capacitances and energy/power densities than those from PAN, which was tested by coin-type cells. It was also shown that PAV with an acrylonitrile/vinylimidazole composition of 83:17 is most promising for the carbon nanofiber precursor exhibiting a specific capacitance of 114 F/g. Their energy and power density are 70.1 Wh/kg at 1 A/g and 9.5 W/kg at 6 A/g, respectively. In addition, pouch cells were assembled to load the higher amount of electrode materials in the cells, and a box-like cyclic voltammetry was obtained with high capacitances.

        Chlorella-derived activated carbon (CDAC) with a high specific surface area and hierarchical pore structure was prepared as a CO2 adsorbent and as a supercapacitor electrode material. During KOH activation of Chlorella-derived carbon, metallic K gas penetrated from the outer walls to the inner cells, and pores formed on the outer frame and the inner surface. Micropores were dominant in CDAC, contributing toward a high specific surface area (> 3500 m2/g) and a hierarchical pore structure owing to the cell walls. Consequently, CDAC exhibited a high CO2 adsorption capacity (13.41 mmol/g at 10 atm and room temperature) and afforded high specific capacitance (142 F/g) and rate capability (retention ratio: 91.5%) in supercapacitors. Compared with woody- and herbaceous-biomass-derived activated carbons, CDAC has a superior specific surface area when the precursors are used without any pretreatment under the same conditions due to their soft components such as lipids and proteins. Furthermore, developing microalgae into high-value-added products is beneficial from both economic and environmental perspectives.

        This study analyzes the certification system and international standard trend for cold storage and proposes evaluation method for the development of KS in accordance with international standards so that high quality products can be supplied to consumers. The international standard for cold storage can be divided into three categories: refrigerator unit, refrigerator warehouse, and cold chain. Each similar standard was analyzed and studied. Among them, AHRI's international standard is the most advanced standard, so test methods and conditions are matched. Finally, the performance evaluation technology and the performance evaluation technology for the refrigerator unit suitable for the domestic situation using the analyzed method were proposed.

        본 연구는 국내 냉동보관창고 보관온도에 대한 조사자료를 활용하여, 온도분포를 추정하였고 이를 미생물 위해 평가(microbial risk assessment; MRA)의 입력변수로 활용 할 수 있도록 적정 확률분포 모델을 제시하였다. 조사에 참여한 8곳의 냉동보관창고에서 측정된 공간상의 온도는 최저 -25.8oC, 최고 -10.3oC, 평균 -20.48 ± 3.08oC이었으며, - 18oC이상의 냉동창고 비율은 20.4%로 조사되었다. 공간별 온도분포는 자연대류를 이용하는 냉동창고의 경우 상단 (2.4~4 m) -22.57 ± 0.84oC, 중단(1.5~2.4 m) -22.49 ± 1.05oC, 하단(0.7~1.5 m) -22.68 ± 1.03oC, 최고온도차이는 1.78oC이 었으며, 강제대류를 이용하는 냉동창고의 온도분포는 상단 (2.4~4 m) -17.81 ± 1.47oC, 중단(1.5~2.4 m) -17.94 ± 1.44oC, 하단(0.7~1.5 m) -18.08 ± 1.42oC, 최고온도차이는 0.94oC로 조사되었다. 보관온도는 냉동창고 모든 공간에서 온도가 일정하게 유지되는 것이 아니라 편차가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 수집된 온도자료는 @RISK를 이용, 적합성 검정(GOF: A-D, K-S test)을 수행하여, MRA에서 활용할 수 있는 국내 냉동보관창고 온도분포에 대한 가장 적합한 확률분포모델로 Lognormal [5.9731,3.3483, shift(-26.4281)] 이 선정하였다.

        If sewage flows for an extended time at low velocities, solids may be deposited in the sewer. Sufficient velocity or tractive force should be developed regularly to flush out any solids that may have been deposited during low flow periods. This study aims to evaluate the periods (T) during which sewage flow greater than the minimum tractive force maintains on a spot in sewer pipe system with lower tractive force or lower velocity than expected in the design step, when a storage tank installed in a place upsteam pours water into the sewer. The effect to T of design factors of storage tank and sewer pipes was evaluated assuming the uniform flow in sewers. When the area of orifice in the storage tank is 0.062 ㎡(or 0.28 m diameter), the maximum T of 31sec was maintained using the usually used preset range of values of several design factors. As the horizontal cross section of storage tank and water depth of storage tank and roughness in sewers increase, T linearly increases. Also, T linearly decreases as the diameter of a sewer pipe increases. Although T gradually decreases as the sewer pipe slope decreases to around 0.005, T decreases sharply when the slope is less than 0.003.

        최근 메틸브로마이드를 이용한 훈증소독 검역처리 기술의 오존층파괴 문제로 인하여 사용이 감소함에 따라 이온화 방사선 조사 기술이 주목받고 있다. 본 연구는 수출용 새송이 버섯에 0, 0.5, 1, 2, 및 3kGy의 감마선 조사 후 저장기간(0, 7, 14, 21, 및 28일) 동안 버섯의 품질에 미치는 영향에 대해 연구하였다. 새송이 버섯의 경도 변화를 측정한 결과, 비조사구의 경우 저장기간이 증가함에 따라 급격히 감소한 반면 감마선 조사에 의하여 경도의 감소폭이 유의적으로 줄어들었다. 색도 변화 역시 감마선 조사에 의하여 저장기간 중 발생하는 새송이 버섯의 갈변이 저해되는 것을 확인하였다. 하지만 수분함량, 수분활성도, 및 중량손실율의 경우 저장기간에 따른 조사구와 비조사구간에 차이가 관찰되지 않았다. 따라서 3 kGy 이하의 감마선 조사를 통하여 새송이 버섯의 저장 품질을 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

        It was available to store both nymphs and adults of Geocoris pallidipennis at 5℃ for 3 weeks without negative effects on their survival, fecundity, and Bamisia tabaci nymph predation. Up to 140 days, it was also possible to store Micromus angulatus adults at low temperature, showing approximately 50% cumulative survival rate, but over 2 week cold storage was not suitable for their fecundity. With the increase of cold storage duration, the aphid predation by M. angulatus decreased, but it could be possible to cold store until 5 weeks without a significant effect on their aphid predation. Thus, short term cold storage of G. pallidipennis and M. angulatus could be useful for inundative biological control.

        This study examines paraelectric Bi1.5Zn1.0Nb1.5O7 (BZN), which has no hysteresis and high dielectric strength, for energy density capacitor applications. To increase the breakdown dielectric strength of the BZN film further, poly(vinylidene fluoride) BZN-PVDF composite film is fabricated by aerosol deposition. The volume ratio of each composition is calculated using dielectric constant of each composition, and we find that it was 12:88 vol% (BZN:PVDF). To modulate the structure and dielectric properties of the ferroelectric polymer PVDF, the composite film is heat-treated at 200 oC for 5 and 30 minutes following quenching. The amount of α-phase in the PVDF increases with an increasing annealing time, which in turn decreases the dielectric constant and dielectric loss. The breakdown dielectric strength of the BZN film increases by mixing PVDF. However, the breakdown field decreases with an increasing annealing time. The BZN-PVDF composite film has the energy density of 4.9 J/cm3, which is larger than that of the pure BZN film of 3.6 J/cm3.

        벼의 Lipoxygenase-3 (LOX-3)는 벼의 저장 후 종자 수명과 고미취 발생에 관련이 있다. LOX-3 결핍은 저장 후 종자수명 향상과 고미취 발생 저감에 효과가 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구는 국내 대면적 재배 품종인 새누리의 근동질계통으로 LOX-3가 결핍된 전주624호의 고온 저장 후 종자 수명과 고미취 관련 특성을 분석함으로써 LOX-3 결핍 대립유전자 도입에 따른 저장 후 효과를 구명하고자 수행되었다. 건열 처리 및 고온 저장 후 발아율 검정에서 LOX-3 결핍 자원인 다우담과 전주624호가 LOX-3 보유 품종인 남평과 새누리에 비해 발아율이 높았다. 고온 저장 후 지방산가 함량은 저장 전후 모두 전주624호가 가장 낮았고, 함량 차이는 다우담(2.0 KOH mg/100g), 전주624호(2.2), 남평(4.0), 새누리(4.2) 순으로 LOX-3 결핍 자원이 LOX-3 보유 품종에 비해 적었다. 고온 저장 후 LOX 효소 활성은 저장 전후 모두 다우담이 가장 낮았고, 활성 차이는 다우담(4.8 unit/mg protein), 전주 624호(8.9), 남평(20.30), 새누리(22.72) 순으로 LOX-3 결핍자원이 LOX-3 보유 품종에 비해 적었다. 고온 저장 후 hexanal 함량은 저장 전후 모두 전주624호가 가장 낮았고, 함량 차이는 전주624호(1,333 peak), 다우담(1,839), 새누리(5,238), 남평(36,427) 순으로 LOX-3 결핍 자 원이 LOX-3 보유 품종에 비해 적었다. 전주624호는 새누리 유전 배경에 LOX-3가 결핍된 근동질계통으로 저장 후 종자 수명 향상과 고미취 저감효과가 확인되었다. 이를 통해 LOX-3 결핍 대립유전자의 도입은 저장 후 종자 수명 향상과 고미취 저감에 효과가 있을 것으로 판단되었다.

        In this study, viable cells, coliforms and food poisoning bacteria were identified according to the pH levels of the coagulant and immersion liquid during each stage in the production of konjac, and storage stability was confirmed for 3 months. A considerable number of bacteria were found in the raw material, or powdered konjac (Amorphophallus konjac), as well as in the processing water. However, it has been shown that the plastic package were safe from microorganisms. Due to the high pH of the added coagulant [2.0% Ca(OH)2], no contaminating bacteria were observed after konjac jelly formation. Coliforms were not detected any of the tested steps. During the molding process, the pH of konjac was adjusted to 9.5 ~ 12.5 at intervals of 0.5, and the number of bacteria was determined. As a result, no bacteria were detected in the alkaline range above pH 11.5. The pH of the immersion liquid was adjusted to 10.0 ~ 12.5, and after hardening, the konjac were stored at room temperature for 12 weeks. As a result, no bacteria, Escherichia coli or other food poisoning bacteria were detected at pH 11.5 or higher. Based on these results, it is expected that when the pH levels of the konjac and its immersion liquid are maintained at 11.5, it should be possible to keep the product for 3 months without additional sterilization process.

        Lead free (Ba0.7Ca0.3) TiO3 thick films with nano-sized grains are prepared using an aerosol deposition (AD) method at room temperature. The crystallinity of the AD thick films is enhanced by a post annealing process. Contrary to the sharp phase transition of bulk ceramics that has been reported, AD films show broad phase transition behaviors due to the nanosized grains. The polarization-electric hysteresis loop of annealed AD film shows ferroelectric behaviors. With an increase in annealing temperature, the saturation polarization increases because of an increase in crystallinity. However, the remnant polarization and cohesive field are not affected by the annealing temperature. BCT AD thick films annealed at 700 ℃/2h have an energy density of 1.84 J/cm3 and a charge-discharge efficiency of 69.9%, which is much higher than those of bulk ceramic with the same composition. The higher energy storage properties are likely due to the increase in the breakdown field from a large number of grain boundaries of nano-sized grains.

        This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of adding gradually increasing concentrations of turmeric extract (0, 0.1, 0.2, and 0.4%) to smoked duck meat on its chromaticity, antibiosis, and antiseptic degree against food poisoning bacteria, number of bacteria, lipid rancidity, sensory evaluation, and preference. The brightness, red color intensity and yellow color intensity changed significantly when 0.2% turmeric extract was added and the sodium nitrate concentration was reduced. Additionally, no antibiosis or antiseptic activities against food poisoning bacteria were observed in any turmeric treated samples, whereas the number of bacteria was increased in control samples compared to turmeric treated samples after 10 days of preservation. The TBARS value decreased during storage when turmeric extract concentration increased, resulting in positive sensory evaluation of its color, succulence, taste and hardness. In the preference test, the surface and meat color increased as the concentration of turmeric extracts increased. Hardness was highest at 0.2%, whereas taste was highest between 0.2 and 0.4%. The overall preference test was highest for the 0.2% extract samples. Overall, the results indicated that addition of 0.2% turmeric to smoked duck meat will lead to better nutrition, function, and overall preference.

        본 연구는 우리나라의 주요 조림수종인 자작나무(Betulaplatyphylla var. japonica Hara.) 종자의 저장기간 및 온도처리에 따른 발아 특성을 구명하고자 수행되었다. 공시수종 종자는 각각 1996년, 2003년, 2012년, 2013년, 2014년, 2015년, 2016년 채집된 자작나무 종자이며, 발아실험은 5℃, 10℃, 15℃, 20℃, 25℃, 30℃, 35℃의 온도 조건에서 실시하였다. 저장기간에 따른 발아율(GR)의 조사 결과 2012 년 이전에 채집된 종자에서는 발아가 전혀 되지 않았다. 저장기간별 발아율은 2015년에 채집된 종자가 모든 온도에서 가장 높았고, 저장기간이 길어질수록 낮은 것으로 조사되었다. 온도별 발아율의 경우 1 5℃ 이하의 온도 조건에서는 모든 종자에서 발아가 전혀 되지 않고, 30℃에서 가장 높은 발아율을 보였 다. 그 외의 발아특성은 저장기간이 짧은 종자이고 발아율이 높은 온도일수록 발아기(T50)와 평균발아일 수(MGT)가 낮고 발아속도(GS)가 높은 경향을 보였다. 발아균일도(GU)는 상대적으로 고온인 35℃에서 높은 것으로 나타났다.

        국내의 사용후핵연료가 증가함에 따라 사용후핵연료 저장조는 곧 포화가 될 것으로 예상된다. 따라서 사용후핵연료 건식저장 운영 및 관리 방안에 대해 연구하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 미국에서는 오랜 기간 건식저장을 운영해왔으며 이를 바탕으로 사용후핵연료 건식저장 운영 및 관리 방안에 대해 많은 연구가 수행되고 있다. 그러나 우리나라에서는 경수로 사용후핵연료 건식저장 경험이 없으며 관련 관리방안 및 구체적인 기준이 매우 부족한 현실이다. 건식저장기간 동안 주요한 이슈중의 하나는 건식저장용기 열화현상이며 대표적으로 응력부식균열에 의한 부식현상이 있다. 미국에서는 U.S. DOE, U.S. NRC, 그리고 EPRI 주관 아래 건식저장 캐니스터에서의 염화물 응력부식균열에 관한 많은 연구들을 수행하고 있다. 또한 건식저장 캐니스터의 염화물 응력부식균열 현상을 설명하기 위해 SNL에서는 확률론적 응력부식균열 모델을 제시하였다. 본 논문에 서는 SNL에서 제시한 확률론적 응력부식균열 모델을 검토하였으며 모델에 제시된 주요인자들을 세세하게 분석하였다. 본 논문은 우리나라에서 스테인리스 스틸로 제작된 캐니스터를 경수로 사용후핵연료 건식저장으로 이용할 경우, 건식저장 운영 및 관리 방안을 구축하는 대에 좋은 참고문헌이 될 것이라 사료된다.

        The present study aimed to develop growth prediction models of Listeria monocytogenes in processed meat products, such as mixed pressed hams, to perform accurate microbial risk assessments. Considering cold storage temperatures and the amount of time in the stages of consumption after opening, the growth of L. monocytogenes was determined as a function of temperature at 0, 5, 10, and 15 ℃, and time at 0, 1, 3, 6, 8, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 days. Based on the results of these measurements, a Baranyi model using the primary model was developed. The input parameters of the Baranyi equation in the variable temperature for polynomial regression as a secondary model were developed: SGR = 0.1715 + 0.0199T + 0.0012T2, LT = 5.5730 - 0.3215T + 0.0051T2 with R2 values 0.9972 and 0.9772, respectively. The RMSE (Root mean squared error), Bf (bias factor), and Af (accuracy factor) on the growth prediction model were determined to be 0.30, 0.72, and 1.50 in SGR (specific growth rate), and 0.10, 0.84, and 1.35 in LT (lag time), respectively. Therefore, the model developed in this study can be used to determine microorganism growth in the stages of consumption of mixed pressed hams and has potential in microbial risk assessments (MRAs).

        본 연구는 저장 중 조랭이떡에 존재하는 자연균총의 생장특성 및 프로피온산 생성능을 조사하여 떡류에서 프로피온산의 천연유래를 입증하고자 한다. 실험은 저장 중 신선한 조랭이떡과 cocktail Propionibacterium을 오염시킨 조랭이떡 두 가지를 약 3개월까지 저장하여 진행하였다. 저장온도와 저장기간에 따른 조랭이떡에서의 프로피온산 생성량을 측정하였으며, 프로피온산 분석은 GC-FID (Gas chromatograph with Frame ionization detector)를 사용하였다. 30℃에 저장한 주정처리하지 않은 신선한 조랭이떡에서는 1주만에 프로피온산이 약 95 mg/L 검출되었고, 4주 후에 약 330 mg/L, 6주 후에 약 850 mg/L, 8주 후에 약 970 mg/L, 12주 후에 약 1,040 mg/L이 검출되었다. Cocktail Propionibacterium에 오염시킨 조랭이떡은 30℃에서 1주만에 프로피온산이 약 100 mg/L이 검출되었고, 2주 후에 270 mg/L, 4주 후에 약 470 mg/L, 8주 후에 약 660 mg/L이 검출되었다. 본 연구는 조랭이떡에 존재하는 자연균총인 프로피온산 생성균이 조랭이떡 저장 중 프로피온산을 생성하는 것을 증명하였으며, 이러한 떡류 중 천연유래 프로피온산 생성을 예방하기 위해서는 철저한 위생관리와 20℃ 이하에서의 보관이 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

        This study was conducted to evaluate the acceptability of cured cooked boneless chicken drumettes as a raw material for Chuncheon Dakgalbi and to observe its effect on pH, lipid oxidation, volatile basic nitrogen (VBN) content and total viable count (TVC) during refrigerated storage under vacuum. Boneless chicken drumettes were dry cured with a mixed curing agent (0.20% w/w) consisting of sodium chloride (93.1%), sodium nitrite (5.9%) and sodium bicarbonate (1.0%) for 24 h at 2±2℃. Cured samples were cooked using an oven at 150℃ for 20 min and stored at 5.5±0.5℃ for 60 days under vacuum. Non-cured cooked sample was used as a control. Sensory evaluation was performed on day 2 of storage using 22 untrained panelists and samples were mixed with Dakgalbi sauce and reheated using a microwave for 2 min. There were no significant differences between control and treatment group on appearance, flavor, texture, juiciness and overall acceptability. Cured cooked boneless chicken drumettes had significantly (p<0.05) higher pH, lower lipid oxidation, VBN and TVC consistently during storage in comparison with control. These results suggest that dry curing could be applied to boneless chicken drumettes as raw material for Chuncheon Dakgalbi and could extend its shelf life during refrigerated storage under vacuum.
