        In recent years, single layer latticed domes have attracted many designers and researchers’s attention all over the world, because single layer latticed domes as space structure are of great advantage in not only mechanical rationality but also function, fabrication, construction and economic aspect. Yamada developed the shape factor S which represents the shape of spherical latticed dome from a structural perspective as well as a geometric perspective. According to a prior study, the structural behavior and the buckling characteristics of the latticed dome were mostly noticeable when the shape factor of latticed dome was in the range of 1.5 to 5. That is, S, in the range of 1.5 to 5, are able to estimate not only overall buckling, but also member buckling and nodal buckling. In this study, we developed shape models using various size of members with the fixed rise-span ratio. One particular characteristic of the latticed dome is that it is not only light in weight but also high in strength. But the aiming at the use of light-weight materials and at the minimized section of members may result in buckling to cause an unstable state of the overall structure when the external force reaches a limitation. Especially, the structural strength is disadvantageous to the snow loads than the earthquake loads because of light-weight, and is greatly affected by the conditions of loading. This paper is to develop the structural stability according to the shapes and load conditions for single-layer latticed spherical dome with 300m span.

        These days, the interests on the high speed handling robots are increasing because it is important to get down the unit cost of production to get the price competitiveness. The SCARA robot with simple mechanism is more suitable to implement the high speed robot system as well known. The moving parts of SCARA robot have to be designed for high speed. But the structural analysis is induced by the robot links because they drive in high acceleration and deceleration. In this reason, the structural analysis of the high speed SCARA robot is very important in the design process. In this paper, the study on the structural analysis of a high speed SCARA robot has been done and the research results will be introduced.

        SUS hexagonal bar, which is manufactured by drawing process of SUS circular bar, have been widely used to make various adapters and fittings. The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics and stability of variable roll unit including stand module. Stand module is essential part of variable roll unit. Structural analysis was performed to predict the stability of stand module using 3 loads (50, 75, 100 Ton), thus it may be of help to the manufacture of stand module. As the results, internal ring of bearing showed maximum equivalent stress, and moreover bearing, shaft and roller had to be preferentially considered in order to maintain its stability. In cases of 50 and 75 Ton, there were no problems for stabilities, respectively, on the other hand, problem for stability may occur in case of 100 Ton.

        Starch is classified as fast digestible starch (RDS), slowly digestible starch (SDS) and resistant starch (RS) depending on digestibility. RS can avoid enzymatic digestion in the small intestine, but microbes in the large intestine can ferment some RSs. The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural characteristics of low digestible starch by malic acid mutation in rice, corn and potato starch. Rice, corn and potato starch were treated with a 2M malic acid solution in a forced air oven at 130 ° C for 12 hr. Using FT-IR, carbonyl groups were detected in malate starch, indicating the formation of cross-linking by esterification. And, Using X-ray, diffractograms of malic acid-treated starch. In the micrographs, malate treated corn and potato starch granules were marked with elliptical or polygonal shapes and starch retained birefringence. Through microscopic observe in morphology of starch granules, Microscopic observation did not reveal any changes in morphology of starch granules. The modified starches had higher RS than the control and native starch. RS content of maltitized rice, corn and potato starch was 87.6%, 89.8% and 64.8%, respectively. Malic acid treated RS was maintained after the cooking process. The RS of substituted starches increased with increasing degree of substitution. These results suggest that the increase in RS content by malic acid treatment is caused by the change in the structure. And the highest resistant starch content (86.7%) was found at pH 1.5, 2M of malic acid treated corn starch. Malic acid-treated starch can be used as heat-stable and low-digestible starch containing food ingredients.

        Flame arrestor as end of line flame arrester for endurance burning prevents a light-back at deflagration and stabilized burning (during and after endurance burning) of potentially explosive vapor-air and gas-air mixtures at the end of vent pipes. In a flame arrestor, spring is an important part. The spring load as well as the spring's elasticity determine when the hood is opened. In addition, the spring have to work in high temperature condition due to gas burning. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze mechanical load and elasticity of spring when gas is burned. Based on the dynamic calculation on working process of a specific flame arrestor, analysis of spring is taken. A three dimensional model for spring burned in flame arrestor by using CFD simulation. Results of the CFD analysis are input in FEM simulation to analyze structure of the spring. The simulation results can predict and estimate the spring’s load and elasticity at variation of the spring’s deflection. Moreover, the obtained result can provide makers with references to optimize design of spring as well as flame arrestor.

        In this study, mixed-matrix membranes (MMMs) containing MgO nanosheets (MgO-NSs) and AgBF4 in a comb copolymer matrix were successfully prepared for olefin/paraffin separation. The MgO-NSs, which were synthesized via a non-hydrothermal method, showed a large surface area with multi-mesopores. Two kinds of comb copolymers, POEM-g-PEGBEM and PHMEP-g-PEGBEM, were used as a matrix for dispersion of the MgO-NSs and AgBF4. The separation efficiency was enhanced by addition of MgO-NSs due to the dual-functionality. MgO-NSs resulted in the enhancement of the activity of silver through specific interaction and also led to increased diffusivity due to its mesoporous structure. The interactions among the MgO-NSs, silver ions, and polymer matrix were systematically characterized by using FT-IR, XPS, SAXS, and XRD analysis.

        본 연구는 열유도상분리법(thermally induced phase separation, TIPS)을 사용하여, 수처리 분리막에 적용하기 위해, 응고조의 온도 및 열용량의 변화에 따른 분리막의 모폴로지 변화를 관찰하였다. 분리막을 제조하기 위한 소재로는 기계적 물성과 내화학성이 우수한 poly(vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF)와 고분자의 분산 을 도와주는 무기염 소재인 실리카를 사용하였다. 희석제는 dioctyl phthalate (DOP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP)를 사용하였다. 다양한 응고액의 열용량 변화 및 온도에 따른 구조 변화 관찰을 위하여 SEM 이미지를 관찰하였다. 열용량이 증가하거나 응고조의 온도가 높을수록 PVDF의 결정화 속도가 느려져 큰 기공을 나타내며 열용량이 감소하거나 응고조의 온도가 낮을수록 결정화 속도가 증가 하여 작은 기공이 형성되는 것을 확인 하였다.

        쌍동선의 경우 선미의 형상적인 특이성으로 인하여, 두 개의 선체를 연결하는 부위는 선박의 항해 시 발생되는 피칭운동에 의한 손상이 자주 발생하고 있으며, 이로 인하여 주변부에 대한 구조보강 설계가 필요하다. 이러한 국부 보강에 대한 구조설계 지침이 명확하지 않기 때문에, 엔지니어는 판 두께, 보강재 변경 및 프레임 간격을 줄이는 방법으로 대응을 하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 부위는 선 박의 길이방향으로 약 85 % 이상 위치하고 있기 때문에, 최소 구조부재를 국부 보강하여 중량 증가를 최소화하고, 이에 따른 건조비 증 가 및 건현확보의 문제를 해결해야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 KR(한국선급)의 고속경구조선 규칙을 바탕으로, 쌍동형 카페리 구조설 계 절차를 분석하고 추가가 필요한 항목을 발굴하여 쌍동형 구조설계 프로그램을 개발하였다. 좌굴강도 평가 절차서 및 프로그램에 대 한 신뢰성을 확보하기 위하여, 타 선급의 기준과 비교 검토를 수행하여 6 %내 차이가 발생함을 확인하였다.

        최근에는 도심지 개발에 따른 지표면 포장률 증가로 인해 불투수면적의 증가하여 지하수의 고갈, 도시형 수해 증가 등의 문제가 발생하고 있다. 투수성 포장기법은 대표적인 저영향개발적용 기술 중 하나인 친환경 포장 공법으로 물순환 체계의 개선을 통한 환경 개선 효과와 더불어 차량 주행소음의 감소, 열섬 현상 완화, 미끄럼 저항의 향상 등 다양한 기능을 얻을 수 있으며 국내외 관련 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 현재 일반도로는 한국형 포장설계법을 적용하여 설계를 하게 되어 있으나, 현재 투수성 아스팔트 도로를 설계를 위한 지침은 제시되어 있지 않다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내외 선행 연구 조사 및 검토를 통해 투수성 아스팔트 포장 설계인자 및 구조 설계방법을 제안하고자 한다. 선행 연구 조사 결과, 투수성 포장 구조설계는 AASHTO 1993 설계법을 적용하여 수행하고 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 투수성 포장 설계인자 중 투수성 아스팔트 포장재료의 상대강도계수를 제안하였고, 한국형 설계법에서 고려하고 있는 도로설계등급을 고려하여 교통량 산정하는데 적용하였다. 또한, 투수성 콘크리트 포장설계를 위한 지지력 복합계수를 한국형 설계법에서 적용한 방법을 활용하여 구조 설계에 고려하였다. 이러한 설계인자를 고려하고 경제성을 고려한 최적 포장 두께를 산정하기 위한 최적화 알고리즘을 적용설계를 할 수 있는 PerPaveDesign 프로그램을 그림 1과 같이 개발하였다.
