We reviewed the Korean species belonging to the Tribe Dendometrini. Of the previously recorded five species in Korea, Athousius humeralis (Miwa, 1927) and Limoniscus rufipennis (Lewis, 1894) are confirmed as the misidentification of Ampedus basalis (Mennerheim, 1852) and Corymbitodes sp., respectively. It is suggested to exclude these species in the Korean fauna. In addition, the records of Limonius eximius (Lewis, 1874) and Limoniscus vittatus (Candèze, 1873) are also questionable since no specimens available in this study. We actually examined three species throughout this study. Limoniscus kraatzi ((Candèze, 1879) is recognized as the mostly abundant species in the Korean fauna. A new species, Cidnopus nigronitidus sp. nov. and a new record of Limoius scutellaris (Dolin, 2003) comb. nov. are recognized in Korea.

Genus Spilonota is a small group of the family Tortricidae, including over 29 described species worldwide (Brown, 2005). Most larvae of the genus feed on various plant families including Pinaceae, Rosaceae, Leguminosae, Betulaceae, Salicaceae, and Juglandaceae, with economical importance (Park, 1983, Zhang & Li, 2005). Even though this genus has been relatively well investigated in East Asia: five species from South Korea (Byun et al., 2009); ten species from China (Zhang & Li, 2005); eight species from Russian Far East (Kuznetsov, 2001); thirteen species including four unidentified species from Japan (Kawabe, 1982, Oku, 2003), it has been very poorly studied from North Korea with only two recorded species to date (Razowski, 1999, Byun et al., 2009) The aim of the present study is to clarify the fauna of the genus Spilonota from North Korea, including two new records, based on the material deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest, Hungary (HNHM). In the present study, the author examined all available material from North Korea. In this study, four species of Spilonota are recognized. Among them, two species, Spilonota lechriaspis Meyrick, 1932 and Spilonota ocellana (Denis et Schiffermüller, 1775), are reported for the first time from North Korea. A key to the species is provided. Photos of adults and the genitalia are provided with brief comments on the distribution.

Korean species of the dragonfly family Gomphidae are reviewed based on a comprehensive specimen examination. The family can be easily recognized by separated compound eyes, yellowish body color, and similar features of triangle cells on fore- and hindwings. Since a report of 4 Korean species (Seiboldius japonicus, Gomphus melampus, G. postocularis, Gomphus sp.) of the family by Doi (1932), 18 species belonging to 13 genera were recorded by Lee (2006). In this study, we added 5 species and reviewed 23 species of Korean Gomphidae. Identification key and taxonomic remarks were provide: Asiagomphus pryeri is recorded for the first time in South Korea; 3 North Korean species in the genus Davidius are added; Gomphus postocularis is treated as subspecies Shaogomphus postocularis epophthalmus; larval stage of Burmagomphus KUa is identified as Burmagomphus collaris; Ophiogomphus forficula is the synonym of O. obscurus not O. reductus.

The tribe Oxyptilini Bigot et al. 1998 (Lepidoptera: Pterophoridae) consists of fifteen genera with more than 100 species worldwide. Almost half of them are mainly distributed in Palaeartic Region, others are in Afrotropical, Oriental, and Nearctic regions, and less than 10 species are in Australiasian, Neotropical, and Pacific regions (Gielis 2003). Nevertheless, it has been poorly known in the Asian part of Palaeartic region, with five species in Japan (Yano 1963), two species in Russia (Sinev 2008), and one species in China (Li et al. 2003). In Korea, only one species, Stenodacma pyrrhodes (Meyrick 1889), has been reported from North Korea (Arenberger 1991). During this study, four genera (Capperia Tutt, Oxyptilus Zeller, Procapperia Adamczewski, and Tomotilus Yano), are recognized for the first time from Korea, and a new generic combination of Tomotilus celebrates (Merick 1932), comb. nov., is proposed.

Fourteen species of the genus Aulacorthum Mordvilko 1914 (Sternorrhyncha: Aphididae) are recognized from the Korean Peninsula. One new species, Aulacorthum artemisiphaga sp. nov. on Artemisia princeps and Artemisia stolonifera (Asteraceae) was compared with the seven congeneric species based on their morphological and molecular characteristics. Morphometric analysis using 29 morphological characters shows that A.artemisiphaga sp. nov. can be distinguished from the seven congeneric species. In comparisons of COI and CytB genes, A. artemisiphaga sp. nov. had inter-specific genetic distances (average 7.5% for COI and average 7.4% for CytB) similar to those of other congeneric species. Host plants of the Korean Aulacorthum are reviewed.
