        Pb(Zr,Ti)O3 (PZT) is used for the various piezoelectric devices owing to its high piezoelectric properties. However, lead (Pb), which is contained in PZT, causes various environment contaminations. (K,Na)NbO3 (NKN) is the most well-known candidate for a lead-free composition to replace PZT. A single crystal has excellent piezoelectric-properties and its properties can be changed by changing the orientation direction. It is hard to fabricate a NKN single crystal due to the sodium and potassium. Thus, (Na,K)NbO3-Ba(Cu,Nb)O3 (NKN-BCuN) is chosen to fabricate the single crystal with relative ease. NKNBCuN pellets consist of two parts, yellow single crystals and gray poly-crystals that contain copper. The area that has a large amount of copper particles may melt at low temperature but not the other areas. The liquid phase may be responsible for the abnormal grain growth in NKN-BCuN ceramics. The dielectric constant and tan δ are measured to be 684 and 0.036 at 1 kHz in NKN-BCuN, respectively. The coercive field and remnant polarization are 14 kV/cm and 20 μC/cm2.

        Rare earth magnets are the strongest type of permanent magnets and are integral to the high tech industry, particularly in clean energies, such as electric vehicle motors and wind turbine generators. However, the cost of rare earth materials and the imbalance in supply and demand still remain big problems to solve for permanent magnet related industries. Thus, a magnet with abundant elements and moderate magnetic performance is required to replace rare-earth magnets. Recently, a”-Fe16N2 has attracted considerable attention as a promising candidate for next-generation non-rare-earth permanent magnets due to its gigantic magnetization (3.23 T). Also, metastable a”-Fe16N2 exhibits high tetragonality (c/a = 1.1) by interstitial introduction of N atoms, leading to a high magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant (K1 = 1.0MJ/m3). In addition, Fe has a large amount of reserves on the Earth compared to other magnetic materials, leading to low cost of raw materials and manufacturing for industrial production. In this paper, we review the synthetic methods of metastable a”-Fe16N2 with film, powder and bulk form and discuss the approaches to enhance magnetocrystalline anisotropy of a”-Fe16N2. Future research prospects are also offered with patent trends observed thus far.

        The activation energy to create a phase transformation or for the reaction to move to the next stage in the milling process can be calculated from the slop of the DSC plot, obtained at the various heating rates for mechanically activated Al-Ni alloy systems by using Kissinger's equation. The mechanically activated material has been called “the driven material” as it creates new phases or intermetallic compounds of AlNi in Al-Ni alloy systems. The reaction time for phase transformation by milling can be calculated using the activation energy obtained from the above mentioned method and from the real required energy. The real required energy (activation energy) could be calculated by subtracting the loss energy from the total input energy (calculated input energy from electric motor). The loss energy and real required energy divided by the reaction time are considered the “metabolic energy” and “the effective input energy”, respectively. The milling time for phase transformation at other Al-Co alloy systems from the calculated data of Al-Ni systems can be predicted accordingly.

        다공성 분리막은 입자성 물질을 제거하는데 산업적으로 다양하게 응용되고 있다. 기존 다공성 분리막 제작 방법 과 다르게, 용액퍼짐 상분리법은 매우 간단하게 기공을 형성할 수 있다. 먼저 지지층으로 메쉬 위에 물을 적신 후, 물과 혼합 되지 않은 용매에 폴리설폰 용액을 흘려준다. 이때 물과 혼합되지 않은 용매는 쉽게 기화되어 폴리설폰은 얇은 막으로 만들어지게 된다. 기공을 형성하기 위해 폴리설폰 용액에 물과 혼합할 수 있는 물질을 넣게 되면, 넣어주는 농도 비율에 따라 기공크기를 조절할 수 있게 된다. 막의 두께는 쉽게 용액의 농도로 조절이 된다. 다공성 분리막은 메쉬의 형성을 그대로 유지하고 있어 3차원 구조체를 형성하는데 매우 유용하다. 본 연구에서 제시된 용액 퍼짐 상분리법은 매우 낮은 생산단가와 쉬운 공정조절에 의해 기존 분리막에 비해 높은 가격경쟁력을 가질 수 있는 특징을 보이고 있다.

        Ni-based oxide dispersion strengthened (ODS) alloys have a higher usable temperature and better hightemperature mechanical properties than conventional superalloys. They are therefore being explored for applications in various fields such as those of aerospace and gas turbines. In general, ODS alloys are manufactured from alloy powders by mechanical alloying of element powders. However, our research team produces alloy powders in which the Ni5Y intermetallic phase is formed by an atomizing process. In this study, mechanical alloying was performed using a planetary mill to analyze the milling behavior of Ni-based oxide dispersions strengthened alloy powder in which the Ni5Y is the intermetallic phase. As the milling time increased, the Ni5Y intermetallic phase was refined. These results are confirmed by SEM and EPMA analysis on microstructure. In addition, it is confirmed that as the milling increased, the mechanical properties of Ni-based ODS alloy powder improve due to grain refinement by plastic deformation.

        Background: Despite frequent shoulder injuries of rotator cuff muscle of golfers by the result of overuse and poor swing mechanics, there is little research on shoulder specific rehabilitation exercises for injured rotator cuff muscle and golf swing Objective: To examined the effect of rehabilitation exercise for golfers on the X factor and ground reaction force (GRF) according to phase of the golf swing. Design: Crossover study Methods: The participants were 13 amateur golfers selected for a 4 week rehabilitation exercise for golfers. A rehabilitation exercise for golfers consisting of 5 steps and 4 items (sleeper stretch, full side plank, push up to plank, high plank knee unders) were applied to all participants. A three dimensional motion analyzer and force platform (SMART-E, BTS, Italy) were used to measure the X factor (angle between shoulder and pelvis at top of back swing) and GRF according to phase of the golf swing. All dependent variables were measured before and after exercise. The collected data was analyzed using the paired t test and SPSS 21.0. Results: The GRF had a statistically significant increase in the impact phase and ratio impact/weight after rehabilitation exercise for golfers (p<.05). The Xfactor, GRF in top of back swing and finish were no significant differences between before and after exercise (p>.05). Conclusions: These results suggested that rehabilitation exercise for golfers was effective for increasing GRF in the impact phase and ratio impact/weight for amateur golfer.

        목 적:간자기공명영상검사에서 역동적 영상의 view sharing 기법은 시간을 단축하며 적당한 동맥기영상을 얻을수 있지만 모든 phase로 데이터를 공유하기 때문에 호흡의 움직임에 영향을 받아 움직임에 의한 인공물(motion artifact)를 많이 발생시킨다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 view sharing을 이용하지 않는 independent-VIBE와의 삼중동맥기 영상을 비교하여 independent-VIBE 기법의 유효성을 알아보고자 한다. 대상 및 방법:본연구는 2017년 1월부터 2019년 1월까지 간자기공명영상을 재검사한 환자 29명과 지원자 30명을 대상으로 하였다. 장비는 Skyra Elf(3.0T)를 사용하였으며 32채널 spine 코일과 30채널 body 코일을 이용하여 간자기공명영상 역동적 조영증강에서 TWIST-VIBE와 independent-VIBE을 이용하여 검사한 환자를 비교 분석하여 재검사비율을 비교하였으며, 자원자 30명에게 간자기공명영상검사시 TWIST-VIBE와 independent-VIBE 시 3 phase로 나누어 총 18초 중 9초 호흡 정지 후 나머지는 숨을 쉬게 하여 영상에 임의의 움직임을 만들어 표준편차(SD), 변동계수(CoV), 영상의 질를 비교, 분석하였다. 결 과:재검사환자 29명 중 TWIST-VIBE 환자 24건(1.8%), independent-VIBE 환자 5건(0.5%)으로 3.6배의 차이가 나타 났으며 p=0.003으로 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 지원자 30명을 대상으로 표준편차를 비교한 결과 TWIST-VIBE에서 각 phase는 15.58±4.24, 16.87±4.32, 19.91±5.35이며 independent-VIBE에서 8.09±2.49, 8.24±2.23, 8.68±2.55 이었다. 변동계수는 TWIST-VIBE에서 각 phase는 15.07±4.14, 15.92±3.43, 18.64±3.43이며 independent-VIBE 는 9.64±2.40, 9.93±2.23, 1057±3.11이었다. p<0.05로 시간 변화에 따른 각 phase 별 표준편차(SD), 변동계수(CoV) 변화치 및 각 집단별 phase의 표준편차(SD), 변동계수(CoV) 수치가 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 정성적 평가에서 두 집단의 모든 phase에서 점수의 차이가 p<0.05로 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 결 론:호흡이 일정치 못한 환자의 자기공명영상검사에서 independent-VIBE를 이용하여 획득한 결과 view sharing을 이용한 TWIST-VIBE를 이용하여 획득한 영상을 비교하였을 때 independent-VIBE를 이용한 영상에서 움직임에 의한 인 공물(motion artifact)의 영향이 적은 것으로 나타났다. 이에 본연구는 호흡이 불규칙한 환자의 삼중동맥기영상을 획득하는 방법으로 independent-VIBE 검사가 유용할 것으로 사료된다.

        residue as the raw material. As one of the preconceived raw material to produce high-quality coal-based carbon material, the changes of structure of CLP during liquid-phase carbonization process have been detailed investigated in this study. Actually, FTIR and curve-fitted method were used to quantitative analyze the aromaticity index (Iar), the ratio of CH3/ CH2, and basic functional groups (C=C, C=O, and C–O) of CLP and its liquid-phase carbonization products. Polarizing microscope, XRD and curve-fitted methods were used to characterize the microstructures of CLP and derived products. The results show that, branched chain and C=O group are the active reaction point in liquid-phase carbonization process. What’s more, 450 °C is a critical temperature point on the severe thermal polycondensation of CLP. The XRD and curve-fitted analysis of CLP and its liquid-phase carbonization products shows that, the stacking height (Lc), parallel layers (N), and the numbers of aromatic ring in each layer (n) are gradually larger with the improve of liquid-phase carbonization temperature.

        The KVN(Korean VLBI Network)-style simultaneous multi-frequency receiving mode is demonstrated to be promising for mm-VLBI observations. Recently, other Very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) facilities all over the globe start to implement compatible optics systems. Simultaneous dual/multi-frequency VLBI observations at mm wavelengths with international baselines are thus possible. In this paper, we present the results from the first successful simultaneous 22/43 GHz dualfrequency observation with KaVA(KVN and VERA array), including images and astrometric results. Our analysis shows that the newly implemented simultaneous receiving system has brought a significant extension of the coherence time of the 43 GHz visibility phases along the international baselines. The astrometric results obtained with KaVA are consistent with those obtained with the independent analysis of the KVN data. Our results thus confirm the good performance of the simultaneous receiving systems for the non-KVN stations. Future simultaneous observations with more global stations bring even higher sensitivity and micro-arcsecond level astrometric measurements of the targets.

        이방성 입자는 독특한 물리적 특성 때문에 다양한 분야에서 발표되고 있다. 여기서, 이방성 도토리구조 나노 입자를 제조하기 위해 새로운 동적 상분리 방법이 도입된다. 동적 상분리 방법은 용제 증발 및 무용제에 의한 침전으로 구성된다. 하부층은 비용매 희석제로서 물을 공급함으로써 제어되며, 상부층의 상분리는 휘발성 용매의 확산 및 증발에 의존한다. 이 상태에서, 도토리 형 입자가 제조되었다. 물이 채워진 밀폐된 상자(자발적 상분리)하에서, 단분산 폴리스틸렌 입자가 합성되었다. 동적 상분리와 자발적 상분리가 공존할 때, 캡과 입자의 크기가 변경되었다. 또한, 폴리스틸렌 용액의 부피는 입자 형상에 영향을 미친다. 독특한 구조가 다양한 응용 분야에 활용될 수 있기 때문에 멤브레인 기반의 제어된 물 공급과 같은 첨단 기술이 개발되면 단분산의 도토리와 같은 입자가 제조될 수 있을 것이다.

        The phase properties of ground acceleration records from Mw 5.5~6.5 earthquakes are analyzed. The interrelationships between phase properties and significant durations, as well as PGA, are clarified through both of theoretical and empirical approaches. The probabilistic characteristics of phase information is also discussed based on previous studies and it is shown that circular normal distribution is the most appropriate probability distribution for the phase angle and phase difference. Whereas those variates can be modeled by Gaussian random variables. From the survey results on the frequency dependency of the phase statistics, a simple model is introduced, which is possible to express the frequency dependency of phase information. It is also shown that the significant duration can be controlled by appropriately chosen standard deviation of phase difference for 4~8Hz frequency band and additional consideration of phase scattering in higher frequency band through a series of Monte Carlo simulations. The source of phase scattering effect is also pointed out and discussed.

        The aim of this study was to evaluate pretreatment methods for 27 pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) in various sewage samples using a modified quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe (QuEChERS) and online solid-phase extraction with LC-MS/MS. Extraction efficiencies of PPCPs in the solid phase under different experimental conditions were evaluated, showing that the highest recoveries were obtained with the addition of sodium sulfate and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium salt dehydrate in acidified conditions. The recoveries of target compounds ranged from 91 to 117.2% for liquid samples and from 61.3 to 137.2% for solid samples, with a good precision. The methods under development were applied to sewage samples collected in two sewage treatment plants (STPs) to determine PPCPs in liquid and solid phases. Out of 27 PPCPs, more than 19 compounds were detected in liquid samples (i.e., influent and effluent) of two STPs, with concentration ranges of LOQ-33,152 ng/L in influents and LOQ-4,523 ng/L in effluents, respectively. In addition, some PPCPs such as acetylsalicylic acid, ibuprofen, and ofloxacin were detected at high concentrations in activated sludge as well as in excess sludge. This methodology was successfully applied to sewage samples for the determination of the target compounds in STPs.

        연구에서 Poly(ethylene-co-vinylalcohol) EVOH 중공사막은 열유도상분리(TIPS)법을 이용하여 제조하였다. 다양한 조건에서 제조된 모든 분리막에서 액-액 상분리에 의해 기공이 서로 연결되어 있는 스폰지 구조가 관찰되었다. 글리세롤과 PEG200은 TIPS 방법에서 희석제로 사용하였고, 냉각조에 글리세롤을 혼합한 냉매를 사용하여 중공사 외표면의 기공을 조절하였다. 또한 혼합냉매의 온도를 높여 큰 기공의 형성을 유도하였다. 본 연구에서는 고분자의 농도, 희석제, 냉각조의 영향에 따른 분리막의 구조, 투과도, 기계적 강도에 대해 실험을 통해 알아보고 상호관계에 대해 심도 있게 연구하였다.
